lotos Posted March 10, 2020 Report Share Posted March 10, 2020 Exactly the same for me, but it's sporadic. I uninstalled all my software cos I thought it was my computer. Been preventing Windows from installing it's usual crap and constantly uninstalling updates. Personally, I thought it all started after I clicked on one of the third party links in the help us voting section. I got an alert saying I had been infected with a virus (loud noise) and it's been like that ever since. It was the second from last link. I use a vpn always and I avoid the last 2 links. Sometimes takes up to a minute to load pages like gym, tycoon assistant, and everything else that takes a lot of scrolling. Rather unacceptable if you ask me, especially w/ current technology. Try using a free VPN - there is probably some network issue between you and the server but it's fine where I am (UK), so if you set a VPN to the UK it might be better. Brazil Also, I realize some of my avatars made by Fletch are 5.6mb - probably an extension mistake when he saved the files. Try proton VPN and set it to UK and see if that makes any difference. If you do want to resubmit your avs, DM me how many it is and I can give you that many free slots. jjsquirrel Posted April 16, 2020 Report Share Posted April 16, 2020 I got curious and tried a test from https://tools.pingdom.com, could not see any difference between testing from Washington/London/São Paolo. But you may want to check that out yourself Mike and have a look at the details. You could maybe reduce your traffic use and also improve performance if you looked into it. Any case of internet wire knots where it helps you to run a VPN would be a rare case, but not saying it cannot happen. Have not seen any issues myself except very occasionally (< once per week) when it sometimes seems the server is slow to send data. It seems static resources like avatar images are downloaded more than I would expect to see instead of loaded from cache, but didn't really look into it.
