Claymore Elite Combat: Birthday Bash in Tokyo!

For the last ten years Claymore Elite Combat has been bringing mixed martial arts fans memorable fights that have been etched into the minds forever. We have seen phenomenal fighters and champions emerge and become immediate fan favorites. Fighters such as Pete Granger a three time champion and Richard Kuklinsky, who is still active and wrecking top class opponents. Now after 700 events, the number one organization in the world is celebrating its ten year anniversary in one of the best cities in the world to do it: Tokyo!

When the spotlight shines down on the main event, CEC fans get to witness the welterweight title on the line as Masa Sanada defends his belt against Chris “The Revenant” Steve! Before we get to watch a fight for the title however, a co-main event meant for the ages as fan favorite Howlin Wolf takes on Umberto Dream in a fight many are expecting to be fight of the night. Two middleweight fights and one light heavyweight fight take place earlier on in efforts to reshape the rankings and potentially the organization. Before we get into the fights lets just clarify that the numbers next to each name are the rankings in CEC and not all of Tycoon! Lets get into CEC: Birthday Bash in Tokyo!

Main Event

Masa Sanada © vs Chris Steve (1) Welterweight Championship

When CEC celebrates in Tokyo they bring out the best for their fans! Hometown hero and legendary knockout artist Masa Sanada, has held the title for the 170lbs division for quite some time, now he faces one of his toughest tests in Chris Steve a knockout artist from New York! Fans of Sanada have been quick to claim that the champion is too dangerous for Chris Steve. The two are expected to bring an aggressive slug fest and the crowd should certainly expect a knockout. Chris Steve has been excited about the chance to take the championship title in his own backyard and believes his strengths in boxing will be the reason why that does happen. On paper they are virtually even, the only difference is that Sanada has been training for at least three years longer than his opponent Steve, that in mind, experience may play out to his favor. It is widely believed that when the two finally get into the octagon to find who the best welterweight is sparks will fly! Both fighters have what it takes to bring home the belt and it may honestly be who is better that night. Critics of Sanada claim he is overlooking Steve for a chance to take on an opponent later down the line, which truly could be the downfall of his reign.

Prediction: Chris Steve via Split Decision.

Co-Main Event

Umberto Reem (7) vs Howlin Wolf (4)

In what could be a number one contenders match for the Light heavyweight title, we have the exciting chance to witness to light heavyweight greats go at it in a fight that is ramped up to be a match that will get one of these two fan favorites back on the winning column. Howlin Wolf was had a rough transition into the CEC as he has lost two of his three fights in the organization, more worrisome for the dangerous knockout artist is that both of these losses come back to back. In this fight, he should certainly focus on bucking up for what could be a dangerous fight or he may see his chances at becoming a CEC legend drift away. Umberto Reem is under new management and is still learning the new adjustments of his coaches. Reem is pretty well known for his vicious knockouts in the past as well but needs to prove that even at the top of the game he can score knockouts at this level as well. This fight is allowing us to see a prime Reem come in against a Wolf whos back is against the wall. My gut tells me these two will both look for the knockout and one of them will get it!

Prediction: Double Knockout. Draw!

Hyryx Dall (5) Vs Don Stewart (11)

When 37 year old Dall goes to battle against 35 year old Don Stewart, fight fans will be in for what will be a bloody mess. These two fighters are known for their variety in getting into the win column and Stewart is making the oddsmakers smile. When Don trains it is reported he is the first one in the gym and the last one out. He has a passion to become the champion of CEC and is not showing signs of slowing down. Two fights ago he scored a hellacious knockout head kick that shook the MMA world. It instantly gave him stardom and CEC looked to bring him over. Since being with his new manager, Dw Fsps, the two of them ride in this match unbeaten and hope to continue that streak. Dall on the other hand is put in a position that will allow him to rattle the world once more. It wasn’t long ago Dall was fighting for the belt and now it seems like he is having a tough time going back up to the top of the CEC mountain. The two middleweight fighters are going to be moving forward until the other one cant keep moving. This is my other pick for a potential fight of the night, so don’t take your eyes off it cause anywhere this fight goes it can certainly end.

Prediction: Don Steward via Triangle submission in the second round.

Sam McCullen (11) vs Tero Susi (17)

Sam McCullen got his nickname as “The Sniper” for his uncanny accuracy when it comes to his strikes. Whether it is by a head kick or a punch the scouse “Sniper” has an ability to put people away in devastating fashion. Tero Susi has left his old manager and is having his first fight under his new manager Damien Washington. Susi, who is riding in on a two fight win streak has all the confidence in the world to add a third fight to his winning streak and the Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu has a confidence that he could do it in several different ways. The Sniper has only suffered a submission loss twice in his career and it was so long ago that he isnt even considered the same fighter. Fans of Susi claim submission isnt his only game as he has actually won fourteen of his fights by knockout and they could certainly see the Sniper, being sniped. The fight itself practically tells us it will be a tactical striking battle as these two european elite stand-up fighters go toe to toe this weekend. The only question is, who hits the canvas.

Prediction: Susi snipes the sniper late in the third.

Derek Trucks (14) vs Arthur Pendragon (15)

When hard hitting middleweights, Derek Trucks and Arthur Pendragon get locked up in the cage this weekend, one thing can be guaranteed, someone is getting knocked out cold! Both men are recognized by their competition as top class strikers. Between the two of them, they have a combined twenty-seven knockouts out of their combined thirty-eight wins. Here is the interesting part about this fight, both men have been knocked out before so it just heightens the possibility of the knockout happening come fight night. Trucks is looking to develop his winning streak while Pendragon aims to get back to winning ways after suffering back-to back losses. Critics of Pendragon have been writing on Buzz that the fighter has only won one of the five fights he has been in at CEC and is going to have a hard match against Trucks, the older and has a better record. Whatever the case may be, Pendragon is in CEC and has yet to hit his stride and there is no better opponent for him to come in and topple than Derek Trucks, who hits like a truck!

Prediction: Pendragon via unanimous decision!

Claymore Elite Combat: Birthday Bash in LA!

Now after 700 events, the number one organization in the world is celebrating its ten year anniversary in one of the best cities in the world to do it: Los Angeles!

In the main event, we see Jesus Chico Grande, one of the top ten fighters in the world look to demolish his opponent, a younger fighter, the mexican sensation, Gerardo Pacheco! For the Co-Main we will witness the 81st title bout for the featherweight championship of the world as Hillary Trump, the tennessee native who dethroned the long standing champion Grande, take on the tarantula, Junior Vilson! A few other notable fights for you to pay attention to this weekend would be the rematch between Three Dog and Hector Determinador or Bastyn Doll wage war against Mike Lowe for a battle to decide whos win streak continues and who falls victim to loss. Just a note on the preview, the numbers next to the fighters names are where they stand in comparison to their division within CEC and not the entire tycoon! Now, lets get into the preview!

MAIN EVENT

Jesus Chico Grande (1) vs Gerardo Pacheco (4)

In what looks to be a number one contenders match we see the long time Featherweight champion, Jesus Chico Grande look to move into title contention after he defeats the Mexican sensation, Gerardo Pacheco! The now champion, Hillary Trump shocked the world when he dethroned Grande by submitting him in a triangle. However, a month before he did that he was able to secure a nasty armbar on the mexican sensation and guarantee himself a title shot. Both men, submitted by the now champion, are focused on revenge and it would be a lie to say that both fighters are content with a decision victory. Grande, who is probably recognized as the best featherweight fighter CEC has ever seen, has been criticized lately as getting “too old” and that “he just doesnt have it anymore” by some writers. The 38 year old who trains out of T-Troid Gym out in London has some of the best sparring partners around. One sparring partner, was on record stating that he was actually looking more dangerous than ever before with vicious intent on his mind. Gerardo Pacheco is not a name we should be completely ignoring here. The fighter many have come to know and love has rattled the division with five victories in his last six outings. A decisive victory here will most likely guarantee him a spot against the current champion. Andres Alford, Gerardos BJJ coaches spoke to us about the holes they feel they can exploit in Grande and expects Gerardo to do exactly that in a few days.

Prediction: Grande Knocks out Gerardo by the end of the first round via Head Kick!

Co-Main for the Featherweight Title

Hillary Trump © vs Junior Vilson (4)

In a fight where the champion has been on a winning streak submitting some of the best competition in his division, he faces one of his toughest tests in the Tarantula Junior Vilson. Vilson, who is riding a series of decision wins, hopes to shock the world in not only finishing an opponent but also securing the featherweight crown! To do that, the 33 year old must recognize that his opponent, a black belt in Jiu Jitsu, has submitted some of the toughest opponents in recent times and will aim to do that to Vilson as well. To be blunt it feels that Trumps biggest fight is not so much his opponent in the ring but his recognition by the fans. The fans are currently more interested in seeing the two men that he submitted fight for the number one contender spot than see him defend his title. Perhaps a new era is alive in the Trump era and he hopes to make the featherweight division great again, but to do that he needs to continue his electrifying ride and completely topple any opposition. Critics of Vilson state that his ground game won’t be able to compete with the infamous Trump and if it goes to the ground it will end.

Prediction: Hillary Trump submits Vilson via Heel Hook in the first round.

Three Dog (3) vs Hector Stefan (7)

Right off the bat let me claim i believe this will be our fight of the night winner. These two Light Heavyweight fighters are known by fans and their previous fight was a slugfest. Hector Stefan, who i share first names with, looks to prove the judges had it right when he scored that unanimous victory in their first fight. Once riding a six fight win streak, Stefan was stopped abruptly by a knockout punch when he fought for the title. His first fight back the same thing occurred. The rattled Stefan has slowly found his rhythm again and is confident he will be able to find victory against Three Dog. As he is known by his fans, “Dj”, has always been someone to bring the crowd a good show. Six time knockout of the night winner believes that he will earn his seventh knockout after he has found the holes in the game of Stefan. There is a certain confidence that fighters will hold over their opponent when they feel weaknesses have been exposed and to be fair, Stefan has shown weaknesses lately, and the main one, his chin.

Prediction: Three Dog via spinning backfist in the second round.

Bastyn Dall (10) vs Mike Lowe (12)

This featherweight fight has intensity written all over it! Both fighters have won their last two fights in CEC and hope to bring a third win home for themselves. In order to do that they will be facing someone who will be peak condition. Both fighters are reportedly not concerned about a loss as neither don’t believe that is an option. You know what that means fans? Knockout of the night! “The Beast” is under new management, and in a fight this big for his career it may not workout to his favor. Something to look at as the gameplans may switch things up. Lowe, has not been the most dominant of fighters but he has been exciting securing over ratings of over 85% in his last two fights in comparison to Dall’s measly 50% rated fights. Mike Lowe is known to be an aggressive go lucky kind of guy and in this matchup he may be fighting a new beast with Dall, not just the dangerous one we have come to know. It is fair to say in comparison to their skill set, Lowe appears to be a more well rounded striker and may employ a lot more vicious combinations that will set him apart from his opponent. Should we say that, it is also equally important to note that Dall is a dangerous grappler and definitely more skilled than Lowe as his fifteen wins via submission go to prove that. The question is, can Dall get this fight to the ground or will Lowe stop him as he shoots his shot?

Prediction: Lowe takes the W as he Knees Dall to sleep in the third.

Haislan Garcia (13) vs Finnish Experiment (17)

To start our main card off right, we see Haislan Garcia, who has significantly moved up the rankings following his last three fights, take on the crowd favorite Finnish Experiment. In a match that has all the makings of a classic this fight, in my eyes, only ends one way, knockout! Garcia who has only lost one of his last seven fights the Experiment has lost three of his last six fights. It may not be the start he expected when he joined CEC but he has yet to obtain a win but he believes the red mohawked fighter is the perfect person for him to get that win. A question has come to mind when you ask whether or not Finnish can compete with the level of experience as Garcia as Garcia does have ten more fights above him. It really is hard to make the case for Finnish Experiment in this fight and I won’t waste much more time, for his sake i hope i am wrong but honestly if he doesn’t secure a win here he should reconsider if this business is right for him. I am not saying he is not a talented fighter as he certainly is but perhaps he is not cut out for the highest level of competition. His manager, Bloody Gutz, has managed fighters for years and holds 400 more wins in his career than losses, so if there is anyone to reshape Finnish Experiment i would believe it be him.

Prediction: Garcia scores a decision victory and gets a top five fight in the near future.

Claymore Elite Combat: New Years Eve!

As time would have it, every good thing has to come to an end. The year of 2019 is no exception. We have seen great things from Claymore Elite this year and great amounts of fights that have shook the fight world. Now to close out the year we will get to see some of the best fighters in the world compete in Tokyo for what is expected to be absolute chaos! Before we begin, I would like to remind you that the numbers beside the name of each and every fighter signify their placement in the Claymore Elite standings of their division.

Jesus Chico Grande (2) vs Burnt Jernit (3)

Featherweight Match

When Gamma champion enters the cage people watch. The master class striker is used to fighting in five round fights and certainly has the gas tank for it. Coming into CEC territory could be considered a shift in competition for him and as some fans noted, he may be surprised. Jesus Chico Grande is regularly on the lips of fans as one of the best in the business. His recognition of that has compelled him to have his nickname reflect that, “La Bestia”! This knockout artist doesn’t come around to play and regularly puts his opponents away in devastating fashion. In a matchup some are considering will go the distance few are seeing Jernit walking away with the win after he slugs it out with Grande. Jernit, a kickboxing legend, went on to win multiple titles before switching over to the mma scene was known for his ferocious firepower in the ring and was no stranger to knocking out opponents in his fights as well. The expectation for fight fans is this will be a stand up brawl. The question is has Jernt recovered after the knockout loss he suffered against Friedrich Alzheimer two weeks ago. Critics are saying that it is too soon and Jernit is making a career move for the worst in fighting so soon but the fighters and coaches ant Runts Academy say he couldn't look better! All I can safely say about this fight, is that it is the leading fight of the night contender for this card. With all the hype around it as well as the history of both of these men winning a combined 29 fight of the night awards you can expect fireworks!

Prediction: Grande sets up a beautiful combination that sends Jernit out cold in the second.

Arjan Bhullar © vs Akeen Coker (2)

Middleweight Title Fight

The rising stardom of Akeen Coker has been unprecedented. This twenty-six year old fighting out of Los Angeles has taken the middleweight division by storm. Recently he has jumped from multiple organizations toppling some of the best they had to throw at him until he received an offer from CEC to fight the best middleweight in the world in Arjan Bhullar. The experience difference between these two is vast but that doesn’t seem to bother Coker who has quickly climbed the rankings and Bhullar is not overlooking him at all. Fans of the champion began to refer to him as “The Bull” because of how he goes in and absolutely terrorizes his opponents with his lethal aggression. In his last several fights he finished a majority of his opponents, making him a very dangerous fight for anyone. Both of these men are coming in on a six fight win streak and that means there will be a confidence both men will have once they meet in the cage for the first time. Here's some interesting thoughts going into this fight, this is Akeen Cokers first fight at middleweight since he made his professional debut one year ago. If this is a new weight class, there are many questions about this fight that will have to be asked about both fighters: Can Arjan keep up with the speed of Coker? Will Coker be able to take the punches that Bhullar throws that people his own size cant take? The fight is most likely going to the ground at a certain point and when that happens could the quickness of Coker surprise the heaviness of Bhullar? The two black belts hold confidence in every department of their fighting ability, especially the ground so it will be a whirlwind of excitement watching these two go at it!

Prediction: Arjan Bhullar finishes his title challenger by the second round

Boo Lee (7) vs Pauke Murhaa (9)

Light Heavyweight Fight

Two top ten heavyweights come in to come out one step closer to the top! Boo Lee a veteran of the sport is in the twilight of his career. At age thirty-seven many are wondering how much longer he wishes to go on fighting, especially after he lost his couple of fights. On the surface it is understandable that you may want to write Lee off so quickly but in reality when you look at his last few fights were, you will immediately notice he was fighting top flight competition. On the other have you have Pauke Murhaa the thirty-one year old from Finland who has struggled in form recently and is looking to stay in the top ten by defeating Boo Lee. On paper, many are claiming that Murhaa is going to get himself in some serious trouble. The reality of this fight is we can see this one going both ways rather quickly and there really is no easy way to make a pick for this fight. These high level strikers are masters at their own trade and both fighters are more than capable of putting the other away with a single shot. This fight in my eyes is going to come down to who plays the smarter technical game.

Prediction: Boo Lee via Decision.

Sambulo Yeboah (11) vs Landon Priester (12)

The rematch the fans have been dying for is finally upon us! In a hotly contested first match between Yeboah and Priester many fans were outraged that the decision was a majority draw. Most fans and one judge was very certain that Yeboah had won that fight. The output primarily done by Yeboah throughout the entirety of that fight. Moving forward there will certainly be adjustments both fighters will make but you can expect there is a certain level of vengeance Yeboah will have going into this rematch hoping to right the wrong. On the other side of the coin Priester is going in thinking he should have gotten the nod to the victory as well so there will be certain steps he will take to ensure that this fight will not turn out to be draw like the original. You have to wonder what would have happened had that fight gone another two rounds and now we get to see it go for another three rounds. The fight was only two weeks ago so we shouldn't expect to see any massive improvements in one area or another but from what the coaches at Yeboah’s gym have shared with fight fans can expect a submission before the end of the night.

Prediction: Yeboah will submit Priester in the third round.

Harold Nicolas (8) vs Matt Cooke (14)

Light Heavyweight Fight

When Matt Cooke takes a step up in competition against Harold Nicolas in Tokyo to start the main card off, fight fans will be delighted with the level of output both these fighters perform. Nicolas, one of the best knockout artists in CEC to date is expecting an easy notch on his belt against Cooke. For a fighter like Cooke who has only been knocked out once before in his long career one could wonder if Nicolas could put him away early or if Cooke will walk away with another decision victory. Nicolas, has just recently joined CEC and many critics are wondering whether he is all hype or if the “hype train” is real. In reality Harold Nicolas is a threat to any fighter with his level of striking and at the age of thirty three he hopes to reach the pinnacle of the sport before the end of his career. The goal according to the coaches at Nicolas’ camp is to send Matt Cooke home quick and send a statement to the rest of the division.

Prediction: Nicolas finishes Cooke in the first round

I agree with most of this analysis, except I believe with a proper gameplan, Coker can actually pull out the win.

BUT if its worse and smaller orgs continue to struggle and are on the verge of closing shop, well we will STILL be back stronger and bigger than ever and no F$#&s will be given.

Sucks to see another elite org take a break, but I certainly can understand it.

Hopefully you'll be back later just as strong as before.

Enjoy the break !

Read carefully, Chucky is not taking a break break, this is more of a statement after all of you cucks ran your mouth and flooded yet another thread with your tears.

You and all the beta boys that come on this thread to congratulate him save your hypocrisie and act like men for once in your lives. Also all those org owners that silently (or not so silently) cheered and pushed the issue further GTFO with your fake congrats.

Some of the lowest of the low behaviour I have seen in the past 2 months.

I butted heads with Chuckster and before him with Gus plenty but how some of yall did CEC is beyond pathetic. My conversations with Chuck lately have seriously opened my eyes to the scum that hides behind their screens. Fucking hyenas, payback is coming; Camp Camara does not forgive nor forget.

I and his real friends will be here to support him when the KING RISES ONCE AGAIN!

What the hell are you talking about Camara and why are you downvoting my comment ? When have i ever badmouthed Chuck ? He was one of the people who helped me back when i started the game and i will always be grateful for that. Him and i are in good terms ,even after he left The Stepdads. Keep your bullshit out of this thread . Your bitterness ,after losing your imaginary girlfriend , is making you even more delusional than before .

PS: Dont try to make yourself sound important . You re a cheater ,owner of a failed org and an even worse manager. You cant even stay in Division 2 . Manager of the Year my ass ....

Honestly, every thread just boils down to bickering any more. Tiring and devalues the experience all around. Don’t see why we can’t just enjoy a fake game.

As I said before Chuck, thank you for your help, all the best and hope the last event kicks ass. We will be aiming to step up in CECs absence.

We cant have a civilised conversation without Camara ruining it for everyone. Anyway. Thanks for everything Chuck ! See you soon bud.

The pile on yall did on CEC was far from civilized.

I would have liked some of the top org owners to at least try to convince CEC brass to not close like I and some of us did on and off forums.

Nobody is bitter, just seeing a really bad trend here and some really nice people leaving the game due to pile ons.

All I`m saying is to not be the ultimate hypocrite and stay silent just like when CEC needed your support.

But people are greedy and CEC was rearing to have their best year yet after winning the Super Fight League.

I`m not negative, au contraire, Chuck and I have been planning the main/co-main of the END GAME and Grumpy and I will give it to him.

Well ladies and gentlemen the time has come, March 7th will mark the day for our last event END GAME. Each and every fight on the card will average at least 300 for hype/pop, i'll be updating this post when fights are booked and accepted.

Fight Card fights #9 and #10 are set in order, the rest will be adjusted as they come in.

1. Kimbo Slice vs Pierre St Georges 500 average 265 title fight

2.Malaki Fiso vs Jesus Chico Grande 455 average 145 title fight

3. Enitan Arendse vs Tud Stoddler 489 average 155 title fight

4. Chris Steve vs Joy Rones 538 average but will change after Steve's next fight, 170 title fight

5. Latrobe Arundel vs 185 Champion Coker or Bhullar

6. 205 Championship fight

7. Junior Vilson defending his openweight title vs ? highest ranked guy who will accept the fight

8. Gyukosho Fujimoto vs ?

9. Mick Murphy vs Masa Sanada 310 average

10. Brak Maugon vs Richard Kuklinsky 305 average

I'd like to thank all of you who helped make CEC the best, this isn't a shut down for good but just a break to see where we are in a few months(hopefully stronger like some have predicted and want). BUT if its worse and smaller orgs continue to struggle and are on the verge of closing shop, well we will STILL be back stronger and bigger than ever and no F$#&s will be given.

Great card and all the best mate.

You should already be giving no fucks. There will ways be criticism on some level just ignore it. I hope you come back with thicker skin my man as there was no reason to take a break in the first place. Come back soon guy.

I don't think you should close up mate. I really don't. Purely for the reasons that out of all the org's you bought, CEC was the only one you really wanted to get and you waited a long time for it too. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way you've been doing things. Zero. There is an option to buy in game currency so what you were doing was completely above board as far as I'm concerned and you really shouldn't give a crap what a few people say so long as you're enjoying what you're doing.

Closing up will do absolutely nothing aside from one of the longest serving orgs not being around anymore. All the fighters will find new homes and that will be that. Someone else will take the top spot and then people will probably complain that they can't compete with them either. Let's be honest, it will likely be GAMMA (could argue they are already tied with CEC as top dog) and I would bet body parts that Mentor has more Tycoon dollars stashed away in his jets then the rest of the all other orgs combined. And why wouldn't he. He's been playing this game since 2009.

But besides that, paying out huge contracts isn't the only way to get the top stars. I firmly believe that if someone came along and went the extra mile (rankings, write ups, posters etc as well as good organisation and match making) most people would want to be a part of it in lieu of tycoon dollars. Currently none of the top orgs really do any of that. They are a bit bland. Efficient and organised but stale. You get the odd write up here and there and Mentor puts a lot of effort into his record keeping but generally they just churn out fights that people very rarely ever hear about or get to care about (I do understand that it takes a community to hype the fights though and it is lacking there also)

Anyway, sorry for the ramble. Chuck, I hope you reconsider. It's not too late!
