Disobedience - Sydney - 210K+

Who are we?

We're a brand new organization in Sydney looking to put an emphasis on raising the crop of new generations of fighters within the Sydney fighting circuit. Through innovation processes, we plan to seperate ourselves from the rest of the pack.

What is the ID restriction for Disobedience?

We're currently looking for fighters in the ID range of 210K and up to build the foundation for this organization. As we expand, we will host seperate tournaments for the newest set of fighters so as to build the pool and allow newer fighters to grow before taking on our seasoned veteran fighters and future champions.

What sets Disobedience apart from all the rest of the fight organizations out there?

While forum role-play isn't a new concept to MMA Tycoon, we at Disobedience feel it should have a much heavier influence on this game than it already has. Not many organizations implement role-play the way we feel it should be implemented, so we decided to take it upon ourselves to instill a new system that rewards managers who are active inside the ring...and outside the ring. Labeled "Frosty's Notoriety System" (FNS), managers will build their fighter to either be loved for their greatness, or hated for their attitude. More detailed information can be found in the post AFTER the Q&A.

How can I get involved in this future project?

Simple: Get your fighters ready, contact Jack Frost (81448) about getting a contract, prepare your fighter's biography and watch as their story develops each week! We can't make this experience happen without you, so be sure to get out there and show your support by contributing material for the organization through role-play.

Frosty's Notoriety System (FNS) Tutorial

Much like what we see in such organizations as the UFC, personalities outside of the ring tend to make a huge impact on fighting organizations. Fans and even fighters will often place opinions of some of the fighters they watch every day not based on what they do to their opponents, but how much they can relate to some of these fighters. FNS was created to generate a personality of these fighters within the organization based on multiple factors that can tie MMA Tycoon one step closer to a real-life text based simulator.

- Through this system, fighters will begin building their fighter in two different ways: Famous and Infamous. Famous fighters are less known for their smack talking, insults and degrading nature and more known for being respectful, popular with fans and positive personalities. (some real-life examples would be George St. Pierre, Junior Dos Santos, etc) Infamous fighters are the fighters not too well-liked by many (except for fans who like the "bad guys") and are often cocky and insulting. (some real-life examples would be Nick Diaz, Chael Sonnen, etc) While both sides of the spectrum are of almost equal value, this system gives some variety to the fighters within the organization and allows a bit more customization for managers within the game itself. To add just a little bit more variety, Famous fighters and Infamous fighters get a different perk each: Famous fighters get an extra chance of having a "random event" happen to them (which will be explained later on in this tutorial), while Infamous fighters get a boost to "Cherry-Picking" fights (as in, they're more likely to get the call-out fights than other fighters); the values on the chances these perks give are stored within the data-base and not visible, but let it be known that the higher Famous/Infamous fighters will have higher chances.

- Famous/Infamous Notoriety can be gained in three different ways:

1) Of course, the most obvious one would be role-playing the character's personality within the smack-talk thread in the manager's own unique way. Quality of content is taken into high consideration as to how much Notoriety will be gained, and a "Notoriety Report" will be given once a week to make everyone aware of changes to their fighters. As values for one side go up in this process, a certain amount will be taken off the other side to balance your fighter out and make sure he stays more to one side of the spectrum. It is possible to play both sides of the spectrum, but it may be increasingly difficult to keep the values of both Famous/Infamous up at the same time.

2) The second way of gaining Notoriety is winning fights. Plain and simple, fans of yours like your actions outside of the ring...but they pay to see you win. Finishes will give increased gains, and losses will even subtract from your Famous/Infamous meter. Notoriety gained from wins will go towards your higher meter, so if you were building towards being Infamous, the gains won't go to the Famous meter and mess up your progress. Losses will take away a small portion of both Famous/Infamous Notoriety. Non-participating fighters in this program will receive minimal gains from wins and experience minimal losses to keep the balance of the system; all gains and losses from non-participating fighters will automatically be given towards "Famous".

3) The last way can be the most interesting way of gaining Notoriety within this system. Random Events will be posted right before the "Notoriety Report" that will randomly select active participants, give a scenario for the randomly selected fighters (the scenario will simulate an occurrence that can happen to fighters in real life circumstance), and the Random Event will detail whether your fighter has gained notoriety, lost notoriety and whether it will be in Famous or Infamous category. Generally, 1-3 fighters will be selected each week but the number can vary. As stated earlier, Famous fighters have an increased chance of this occurrence so be sure to take that into account when deciding which way to go with your fighter.

- Notoriety values are measured in increments of 5, with 25 being the highest value gains/losses; at the moment, there is no maximum Famous/Infamous value and it is possible to go into the negatives up to -50.

- Aside from customizing a fighter's personality, FNS will give distinct advantages to participants that other non-participating fighters will not receive, promoting the role-play aspect of this game. Both Famous and Infamous fighters will have first dibs on title contention based on marketability, but not to a dramatic extent. (I.E. If a non-infamous/famous fighter and a famous/infamous fighter are both in title contention, the fighter with the higher famous/infamous notoriety will typically get the shot...as it would be in real life). Famous/Infamous fighters will also be more likely to earn bigger contracts when re negotiations are brought to the table. (Again, just as it would be like in real life) The higher the Famous/Infamous Notoriety, the bigger advantage a fighter will have over other candidates...so remaining active is KEY to the success of your fighter just as much as winning fights is.

In a nutshell, Frosty's Notoriety System (FNS) is built to keep the game fresh, bring emphasis on a part of this game that is often overlooked by most managers, and simulates the MMA experience even better than before. Whats next? Well, join Disobedience (215K+ Restriction) today and see how this system will work for yourself! Disobedience is nearing the end of open recruitment and is now looking to acquire more experienced managers specifically interested in role play. Roleplay experience not necessary, but an interest to learn and participate is a must. Contact JayFrost(81448) to get your fighter in while doors are still open!
