herrentorte
This question might border somewhat on the noob forum, and I was contemplating posting it there instead. Anyway, so I have created my four fighters and they all have a fight scheduled tomorrow. Tactics are all set, as well. My question to all you guys is, untill those fights go down tomorrow, how might I spend my time around here? There is only so much analyzing, predicting, planning a fight one can do. In the real world, I have a pretty chill office job and thus plenty of time to create my MMA empire. Unfortunately, right now, all there seems to be left for me to do is wait. On a side note. I suppose, I am meant to change gyms with my fighters. And after that, I might set up their training routine. Seeing as it's Thursday morning right now, I figured I'd better wait until tomorrow to change gyms so I won't waste a week's fee. Also, I am not sure if I can spare the weekly 1000$ fees for the better gyms. So any comments on this would also be appreciated.
markyosullivan
I tend to post on the forums and/or on Buzz, helps make the time go by quicker Another thing you can do is read write ups on events such as previews, or fighter career threads. kenlow73
in the game or in general? When I'm not messing with my fighters, I'm doing homework but beyond that working with org related stuff, posting on the forums, negging Bjorn, on the MMAt Skype group, playing lichess, keeping up with the UFC Pick'em League, negging Bjorn, hanging in chat under names that aren't mine, stopping by Buzz, and if I forgot, negging Bjorn....#INBFNGR 1

Guest
#1) Get VIP. It is totally worth the money and you'll immediately have more options for how you can spend your work time in here #2) Open a laundry biz #3) Profit #4) Close the laundry biz once you have enough $$$ and open a private gym for your fighters or open a new org. With orgs you can spend pretty much endless time in here, lol

There's QFC tournaments for non-VIPs where the winner gets free VIP
herrentorte
I never pay for these kinds of casual games. I figure, as long as I just play them to pass the time during downtimes, it is fine, but if I start spending money on these virtual realities, that's money I should rather have spent on my family's needs. I feel like I am cheating them out of money to indulge my gaming habit. I really want to start a business, though. Either a gym or a nutrition company. So far I am trying to wait a few days to see if I'll still enjoy the game after the first few fights are in the books, but then I am seriously considering going VIP. After all, 3 bucks a month won't make the difference between my family eating and starving.
Victorio
Keep thinking a lot of pre-fight and post-fight stuffs is my favorite thing to do between fights, yeah I am such a fantasy guy.
Guest
Well I would recommend buying VIP. You can run some organization or company that will put some time in your hands and also you can join alliance where you can communicate to others and learn about the game more. Kronix
This game is somewhat of a slow burner because a lot of time goes to waiting for things to happen. It's both a good thing and a bad thing because you have the time to do other stuff like playing other games, work or spending time with your family. The game does not require you to spend X amount of hours a day to be good at it. What it does offer you is some fun casual time killing every now and then so it adds something extra to your days instead of taking time away from you. I think that's really good because if I can't play for a week or two, it doesn't mather. But when you do want something to do might not be so fun that there is nothing to do but that also depends on how you see things. The game is a big puzzle, after you get through that initial learning phase you'll discover the true essence of the game and if you're anything like me you'll have plenty to do as not that many people to this date have been able to crack all the tycoon secrets out there. There are some managers who's done a great job but just one look at the forum and you can see how many false assumptions circulate each day. I'm not saying I've cracked it all but I've had a great time looking for clues and puzzling as much of it as I can together. There is more than meets the eye with this game, unlike I've seen in any other game. 5 years I've now played the game and that is more than any other game I've ever played. Enjoy tycoon at the same time you enjoy your regular life. It doesn't take from it, it adds to it.

TonyScat
I pace and refresh my page every twenty seconds to see if the results are up yet. But seriously, if you love the game that much try writing some reviews or interview your fighters for the smack talk thread or something.
Ashbourne
When I'm working the afternoon shift, I'm on here all the time and refreshing every few minutes in the hope that I see a - (1) somewhere. I have 21 fighters and so usually have around 4/5 fights a week to look forward to so that helps. In between I'll talk smack in the forums. Refresh the page. Talk smack on Buzz. Refresh the page. Check my alliance chatbox. Refresh the page. Check if anyone has laundered money through my company. Refresh the page. Go back on the forums and Buzz. Refresh the page. You know, stuff that improves lives. But it's not boring to me because I'm always on my laptop watching porn reading about something so this is an extension of that. Love this game and don't mind the pace because it just means my fighters are getting better in the meantime.
Ashbourne
In fact there used to be too many things to do. With 21 fighters buying clothes for all of them every few days was a bitch before I got my personal assistant. I couldn't keep up and didn't want to spend so much time buying clothes. I prefer refreshing pages.
TonyScat
I fucking hate buying and changing my fighters clothes. I wasn't aware there even was a personal assistant option.
