Chris Karter, AKA the KO King, AKA White Jesus, AKA C-Money, AKA

in 12 days time, White Jesus will fulfill a prophecy.

He will turn trash into treasure, much like Jesus converted water into wine.

"Whirling Dervish" Farouk Al Ahwei

EPL failure from Bwang Song Sr camp, rocking a 9-14-1 resume, he went 1-7-1 in EPL before being sacked.

Farouk crawled into the Desert to die in peace when White Jesus appeared and spoke:

"Why do you crawl out to the desert to you inevitable demise? You appear very talented."

"I try so hard, I do my best, but I keep failing. I always give it 100% and it's never good enough."

"Sometimes when you bring the thunder, you get lost in the storm. But a true champion, face to face in his darkest hour will do whatever it takes to rise above. A man fights, fights, and fights some more. Because surrender is death, and death is for pussies. And the King don't train any pussies. The King breeds fucking champions."

and just like that the King plucked his sorry ass from Free Agency with the intentions on proving just how useless his previous manager before him really was at predictable fight tactics and cookie cutter settings.

"He will win come to Aspire and achieve great things. He will become a two division champion at LW and FW. He will defeat the McGee brothers. Riff and Bonerz are blasphemers who will be dealt with by Whirling Dirvish, who is guided by the hands of White Jesus."

The signing brought a lot of attention. If White Jesus could turn some castaway into a champion, what other miracles could he preform? he was quickly swarmed with an array of questions but he would only answer one.

When White Jesus was asked if he could fix starvation and hunger...

"Yeah so back then people were like 4 ft tall. Big fuckin' fish, little fuckin' people."

275K + ID @ Aspire

thank you for acknowledging the King's bravery for picking up a 9-14-1 fighter.

Actually its 280k with "Competitive 275k ID fighters considered on a case by case basis". I always thought that meant lower skilled guys in that range, like your first opponent. A guy who has been KO'ed 7 times in 15 fights.

That's cool, my fighter lost 11 of his last 15 fights.

Competitive:

  1. relating to or characterized by competition.as good as or better than others of a comparable nature.

When the KO King offers a fighter to an org, they take him and pay a King's ransom.

Would I prefer a top 5 fighter in W/C? Of course. But the entire division is trembling in fear since his signing, using the hype excuse to avoid conflict. That's okay because a saint named Iron Jaw Johnny stepped up to the challenge like a man to face White Jesus and his formally forsaken fighter, accepting his inevitable defeat... but it will be glorious and he gets to bask in the King's excellence. He should be honored to lose to the GOAT.

Most of those losses were in EPL vs some of the better fighters in the game. There is a big difference between that level of competition and backdooring into an org where you will have a sizable skill advantage in every fight. I'll have a good laugh watching you pat yourself on the back beating up on lesser skilled fighters and pretending its some huge accomplishment.

It's not even a 27 year old hiding out in an ID org, its a 27 year old sneaking into an ID org for easy wins.

He might have a 50-100 skill point advantage max vs 280 guys depending on their learning speed. Skills points are irrelevant. The real advantage is his manager's ability which is 1000 levels higher than the competition.

Prepare for greatness.

Let me clarify on this. Aspire used to be a 280k org a few months back. We then moved to 275k as that was fair at the time. It says "mostly 280k+" because most of the fighters are in fact 280k+. For a while, we barely took any 275 anyway (and looked at skills carefully when we did) but now we're accepting any 275k guys (as we think the ID ranges have moved close together in terms of skill).

We're very careful about matchmaking and booking fair fights - I think you can see that JLP!

I hope that helps!

PS: No idea how well Chris' fighter will do - but he won't be getting any easy opponents or an easy ride.

First of all, I would like to apologize for not responding first to JLP's in-game mail, I felt my response to this had best be public in order to make as many people aware of the situation going forward as possible, and secondly to Chris for hijacking his fantastic hype thread.

Since I took over what is now Aspire MMA on the 12th of March 2017 it's fair to say Aspire MMA has been primarily a 280k ID organization, one of the very first changes I tried to implement when I took over was the reduction of ID range to 275k and given how new I was to the game and the trepidations regarding JB90's previous management of the organisation I did receive some push back from managers who just wanted to see stability over everything else at that point in time.

As a result I stepped back from my hard line approach of straight reduction and went for a much softer "case by case basis competitive 275k+" fighter recruitment policy that was accepted by my fighter base, over time I would like to think I have earned the trust of my managers to the point they no longer concern themselves with the ID range of a fighter offered against them, consistency is at the core of what we try to do at Aspire MMA and I truly hope it's resulted in an atmosphere where 9 times out of 10 the managers are willing to give us the benefit of the doubt that we have fully considered the implications for both their fighters and the divisions at large when we make the decision to introduce someone into the talent pool.

With 137 fighters currently signed and with a total of 30 fighters in the 275k+ ID range, it actually hasn't been as big of a problem as you might expect, largely due to the influx of native 280k ID fighters as a result of the Revolution XC and Dignity! purchases in the last few months. In the interest of complete disclosure, I will now list all fighters who fall into this category so the community can inspect their fight records and call me out on any booking decisions they feel were sketchy and ill be happy to be held to account in that regard.

In the case of Harold Shipman, he actually joined us following OMEGA's closing and immediately mailed me requesting the first possible fight he could get, I informed him at the time that I had a range of potential solid opponents coming up for him but it might be a couple weeks till he actually got a fight offer due to a minor backlog at 155lbs that has largely been resolved, Shipman basically insisted that he be booked and had no regard for who the opponent was so he was offered and gainfully accepted a fight against Farouk Al Ahwei who at the time was the only available option, something he fully understood, it would not have been my first booking choice, having said that I'm not exactly ashamed of having booked it either, Harold's management understood full well the situation and accepted the fight against my recommendation to wait for a more suited opponent.

Aspire MMA is for the most part, a 280k+ ID org (Competitive 275k ID fighters considered on a case by case basis), we aim to be the kind of org we would want to be part of and we are always open to engaging with our managers be it to negotiate deals, fight opponents or super fights, we want to be the org of choice for fighters in this ID range and we would love to have you join us.

Shiv has on many occasions now informed me the lack of clarity provided by the above statement would eventually lead to problems and as with most things he was 100% correct, it has and I would like to make a firm and definitive statement that Aspire MMA hence forth should be considered a 275k ID organisation, I also want to make it very clear that we are actively watching the average skill caps of selected fighters across our divisions to allow us to make the right decision for when is time for our roster to lower that ID range and we will continue to do so with a view to sometime in 2018 going as a completely unrestricted organisation, my goal is to provide you with the best possible experience, even if we went unrestricted today I wouldn't start sending you monster fights you had no chance to win, trust me a little and I won't let you down I promise.

That is the mid-to-longterm goal of Aspire MMA in the clearest terms possible, I hope I answered everyone's questions in full but feel free to post again if theirs anything else you wish to know specifically, thanks, folks.

Edit: Pretty sure it's black Jesus, white Moses anyway :P.

That's the longest "fuck off JLP" I have ever seen. It's like a dissertation on that topic.

I thought it was well written and in a respectful tone. I'm curious where you got "fuck off JLP" in any of that.

As someone who's two fighters came to the org through Dignity being merged in, I was completely unaware of the I'd being lowered. It definitely wasn't communicated to me when I was approached to have my fighters merged. Nor was it mentioned in any communications that I can recall. I know my 155er is so far behind ck's guy skill wise it would not be a competitive fight.

On my phone, so I can't quote Adams post. But in regards to not removing the restriction till 2018, I'm pretty sure you have a few capped or near cap guys already. Decent learning 270k fighters are probably at or near cap already. In 2018 your original ID base will nearing 30 and starting to decline. You might as well remove the cap now.

JLP, basically, we didn't want to hurry any ID drops. We do realize that it "has to be done" and try our best to do it slowly and fairly. The original plan we had was to look at this a few months later (HFC went from 270 to open ID a bit back - so it's in the right timeline). Maybe you have a valid point, I think it would be good to poll our managers in our weekly mail this week - see what they think? At the end of the day, the org is for the fighters, so we try to make sure everyone has a good experience in it!

Apologies if it wasn't clear when Mitch came over (it was meant to be) - what we do guarantee (and try our best to do) is always give fair matchups. If ever a matchup is unfair, you can happily tell us and we'll definitely make sure it is. For example, in CK's fighters case - by the time he builds up to Mitch's hype, they should be MUCH closer in skill (if they ever make a good matchup). In his particular case, it's also the fact that the fighters record isn't the best (so it mitigates the skills a bit). Plus, primaries are never the whole story.

Anyway, I'm sorry if things were unclear. As I said, our main priority is to keep you, the fighters, happy and and enjoying the org!

PS: That post was definitely not a "fuck off" - just a complete clarification from Adam so there's no confusion!

PPS: Appreciate the support, Bwang!
