HFC 4/20: Barbosa vs West(MADNESS MMA [champion]) (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT{145 LBS})

Hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen to one of HFC's most eagerly awaited events for some time now, and i specifically want to mention "most eagerly" because not only this event has title implications at the HFC (LIGHTWEIGHT) division but it also has two sworn enemies going at it to determine who is the superior one and therefore let's not waste any more time and get straight into what we got in store for you in the event.

(UNDERCARD BOUT)

1. Chris "Macho Man" Machado vs Rebel Sith (WELTERWEIGHT BOUT {170 LBS})

Now at the start of your career what do everyone want? wins, wins and more wins. But this was exactly where Chris Machado went wrong in his career,he did start his career win a win in his professional debut at QFC but sin then it's been all downhill for him and his career. But still when he got his contract at HFC after a record of (1-1) everyone still thought that he could actually win a fight as he has done it before, but he just kept getting worse by each passing day and therefore with a professional record of (1 win and 3 losses) he is now at a point where he desperately need's to win to save his career at HFC and therefore he will be looking to win this fight to finally kickstart his career at HFC the right way.

As for his opponent Rebel Sith, well his career has been the polar opposite although he has never fought in an organization before. But still, having a professional record of (5 wins 0 losses) even at QFC is good and as as a result his confidence is sky high at the moment. But all could still change in his debut at an organization because we know that winning at an organization such as HFC and winning at HFC is night and day and so he will be looking to win this fight to prove to everyone that he can indeed fight and win at a big organization when given the chance.

~ PREDICTION: REBEL SITH WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 2)

(MAIN CARD)

And so there it is people just like that we are into the real fights big now as we start off the main card now so let's see what surprises and tasty matchups w have in store for us.

2. Colby Ortiz vs Boubacar Dembele (MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT{185 LBS}) [4 ROUNDS]

A HFC veteran of four fights Colby Ortiz is a a type of guy that when you look at his strengths ad fighting style you will think than he is a very good wrestler and a half decent submission artist but yet when it comes to his fights, He carries a professional record of (4 wins 1 loss) but the thing which catches the eye is 3 out his 4 wins has come by either (KO OR TKO) and therefore people seems to be confused as to what style he actually fights him which makes him scouting very tough and so with that advantage he will be looking to surprise his opponent and win the fight to continue his winning streak and get closer to breaking into the rankings.

As for his opponent, well, let's just say he is one of those guys who let's his hands loose from the get go and that's because Boubacar Dembele is an outstanding MUAY THAI artist who carries with himself a undefeated professional record of (4 wins 0 losses). He is not quite a very well known fighter yet in the organization because he had just made his HFC debut in his previous fight and therefore he will be very eager to stretch his 4 fight win streak further and win this fight to continue his surge towars the very top of the division.

~ PREDICTION: BOUBACAR DEMBELE WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 1)

3. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs Asdf Fdsa (MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT{185 LBS}) [4 ROUNDS]

Nowadays it is very hard to find young up and coming talents as there are really no absolute elite level youth present at this moment but HFC might just have opened up many a owners eyes when they signed up Shawn Michaels because he is literally one of the most dangerous wrestler and submission artist present currently in HFC as not only has he got a unbeaten professional record of (5 wins 0 losses) but he also won the [submission of the night] award in his debut at a professional organization which simply proved to people that he is not really only a QFC wonderkid but that he could fight for an organization and still win the same convincing way and therefore he will be desperate to win in his HFC debut to climb straight into top #6 spot in the rankings and show everyone exactly what he is all about.

Now Asdf Fdsa is another guy who has brilliant wrestling and submission game in him yet he somehow manages to win most of his fight via (TKO or KO) which again confuses a lot of people as to what they are actually going to do in the fight. It is sometimes very helpful in the big pressure fights because these are the surprises that can win you a match at any point in the fight and therefore with a professional record of (5 wins 2 losses) and also coming off the back of a victory in his HFC debut he will be looking to win this fight at any cost to further solidify his position at #6 in the rankings and get a possible title eliminator fight in the future.

~ PREDICTION: SHAWN MICHAELS WINS VIA SUBMISSION (ROUND 2)

4. Borris The Blade vs Henry "Taekwondo Kid" Wang (MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT{185 LBS})

The no #5 ranked MIDDLEWEIGHT in HFC Borris The Blade is a classic one dimensional fighter, and by one dimensional i mean that he extremely good and well stocked to fight standup but when it comes to his ground game well let's just say it leaves a lot to be desired. A classic example is his last two fights, the first one was against a submission specialist which he lost in the 1st round but then in his last fight against a standup fighter, he knocked him out in the 1st round and therefore with a professional record of (7 wins 1 loss) he will be looking to start a winning run again to solidify his spot in the rankings as well as look for fights against the big boys of the division in the future.

On the other end Henry Wang unlike his opponent is a former MIDDLEWEIGHT title challenger at (ACE FIGHTING LEAGUE).He had a brilliant start to his professional career with (4 wins out of 5) up until the title fight. But since then everything that can go wrong has gone wrong for him.He ended up losing in his HFC debut but since then he has sort of turned the tables once again in his career or so it seems because after that loss he has returned with a newfound hunger to win and therefore with a professional record of (6 wins 4 losses) he will be desperate to win this fight to jump straight into the top #5 of the rankings replacing his opponent.

~ PREDICTION: BORRIS THE BLADE WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 1)

(CO-MAIN EVENT)

So after a few very interesting fights to watch out for we have finally arrived in the penultimate fight of the evening which mind you could have serious title implications in the LIGHTWEIGHT division so without further adieu let's get straight into the action.

5. Purple "The Eagle" Aki vs Shay "ShaDo: O Donnely (LIGHTWEIGHT BOUT{155 LBS})

Purple Aki is a guy who has won nearly every fight he has ever fought under his previous manager and therefore it came as a shock to every one in the organization that he switched managers in between a fairly short career but according to Purple Aki himself he always felt that he needed that extra step to finally achieve his dream of winning a title and as a result the change of management took place. But all that is past now and so with a professional record of (7 wins 1 loss) and after winning his first fight under new management he will be hoping to win this fight to remain as the no #1 contender to the title and as a result get another bite at the cherry in not so distant future.

Formerly a (SMASH NOW HARDCORE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP) LIGHTWEIGHT champion who has a professional record of (12 wins 4 losses) but half of those 4 losses have come in his previous two fights and therefore he is going into the match under immense pressure to win and perform or else face another long wait for a title shot. But he was a former champion and knows what it takes to win big pressure fights and therefore he will be itching to get in the cage and start the fight so he can win and get this fight over with so that he could be the outright #1 contender to the title and get the title shot up next to once again win the title he once lost.

~ PREDICTION: PURPLE AKI WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 3)

(MAIN EVENT)

And now ladies and gentlemen it's finally time for the fight you all have been waiting for live from Hayashi's Lounge (MONTREAL) it's the main event of the evening.

10. DeShawn West vs Daniel Barbosa (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT{145 LBS})

The current (MADNESS MMA) FEATHERWEIGHT champion DeShawn West is one of the best young talents out there in the world which is very clearly visible as at only a mere 21 years of age he is already a champion at a decent organization and that is not all as he is one of the most dangerous santdup MUAY THAI strikers in the world and with a undefeated professional record of (8 wins 0 losses) [6 stoppages] you can see why he is so dangerous and therefore he will be desperate to win this fight to enhance the reputation of his organization and prove once and for all he is the better fighter of the two involved in the fight.

Now his opponent Daniel Barbosa is the former two time (GARDCORE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP) LIGHTWEIGHT champion who in search of a new adventure has dropped down a weight class to dominate the FEATHERWEIGHT division much like the LIGHTWEIGHT division. He is a (HFC) HALL OF FAMER as a LIGHTWEIGHT which shows his dominance in that division and therefore with a professional record of (8 wins 2 losses) he will look to win this fight to prove to others that he can indeed dominate the FEATHERWEIGHT division too and also he will hope to win to improve the reputation of (HFC) among other organization owners who are looking at a potential superfight in the future.

~ PREDICTION: DESHAWN WEST WINS VIA TKO (ROND 4)

SO THIS IS IT FROM ANOTHER PREVIEW OF ANOTHER POTENTIALLY GREAT EVENT

HERE AT HFC.I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED THE PREVIEW AND UNTIL NEXT TIME STAY SAFE AND HAVE A GREAT DAY

HFC KO 2 - Havoc Vs. Cabrera

Hello Montreal and Hello fight fans from all over the world. April 25th 2020 is Judgement Day. HARDCORE Fighting Championship brings you a steller card stacked with talent. HFC president J.W. Hardman would like to personally thank the Mayor of Montreal for allowing unlimited overtime hours for all hospital workers; we are anticipating mass violence.

Lets Jump right into the fights-

©Heller Cabrera (9-1) v ©“The Maniac” Wreak Havoc (11-2) - 145lb Featherweight

Folks it's official, sound the bell, we have a Champ Vs.Champ fight, I repeat CHAMP V CHAMP. Our own HFC Featherweight champ is defending HFC honor as he takes on WolfPac Fighting Alliance’s Featherweight Champion Heller Cabrera. Wreak Havoc has lived up to his name and won the HFC Featherweight belt in just two fights. Coming off a phenomenal 1st round TKO against top 5 contender Rodrigo Lima, Havoc is hot right now and ready for this grand challenge. Heller is a champ for a reason, he’s won 7 in a row, 4 of which have been in the well respected WolfPac Fighting Alliance. Both of these fighters have defended their belts one time. Expect this fight to stay standing until someone gets hit so hard their legs don't work anymore. Then that person will go to the ground, the other one will jump on them and punch them. I think what I am trying to say is that someone is getting knocked out.

Prediction: Would love to choose our guy Havoc but it is my professional duty to give my unbiased opinion. Heller wins by 3rd round TKO.

(6)Conor “Eat Meat” Butcher (5-0) v (3)Arnao Vanegas (4-1) - 155lb Lightweight

Great fight between two really good up and comers. We have an elite grappler in Conor taking on a very dangerous striker in Arnao. Conor only 20 and Arnao only 21. Who will be able to inflict their gameplan? Logic says either Conor gets KO’d standing or Arnao uses his wrestling and ground and pounds his way to a TKO. However, logic can be a weird thing and this is a fight, so who knows what may happen. Wherever this fight is, one fighter will be really comfortable and one will be really uncomfortable. Looking at the rankings this fight has huge implications. Winner may be sniffing a title shot soon. The loser will taste the sting of defeat but will still have a bright future ahead.

Prediction: Conor Butcher gets a fresh slab of meat after he finishes Arnao with some nasty ground and pound.

Fred Freds (4-2) v (10)Boris Balkan (2-0) - 265lb Heavyweight

Boris Balkan is a very intriguing prospect. At just 19 years old he is dangerous with his striking and his submissions; he already has a submission victory and a KO victory to his name. Boris will face his greates test ye in the form of Fred Freds. Freds is much more experienced than Boris and likely going to be eager to stand and exchange fistacuffs in the center of the ring. Boris sits at 10 in the rankings, a win he keeps climbing, a loss and Freds likely takes his place there.

Prediction: Boris lands a monster head kick in the 2nd for a KO. Freds wakes up in the hospital and says “it was fun”. Keep an eye on Boris in the standings, this writer is all aboard the hype train for that young prospect.

Mild “Peppa” Paplano (3-0) v John “Horse” Henry (4-1) - 155lb Lightweight

Two fighters looking to work their way into the top ten. A win here will help do just that for one of them. Mild “Peppa” Paplano will look to grapple and apply submissions. John “Horse” wants nothing to do with those submissions and will look to keep the fight standing. This should be a really close fight. With so much on the line don't expect either fight to quit.

Prediction: John “Horse” Henry wins a back and forth split decision. Both fighters agree they should run it back, HFC lightweight champ Jose Carvaleho tweets out post fight that the fighters embrace at the end “was cute” and if they run it back they should wear head gear and leg pads so no one gets hurt.

UnderCard

The undercard features some great up and comers who will be eager to show they are destined for big things. We will keep an eye on these fights and highlight any spectacular performances in our post fight write up.

Folks we are proud and honored to bring you this night of fights. On behalf of the HARDCORE Fighting Championship enjoy and fight on!

"Captain" Jack Sparrow

Pre Fight Interview

Interviewer: "Im here backstage with Captain Jack Sparrow, Jack, you are taking on a hard hitting KO artist in Lorenzo Battaglia tonight. Give us your thoughts on your opponent, and how the fight will go?"

Jack Sparrow: Well, to spite what I may have said about this man, I do respect his punching power. This fight will go one of 2 ways. Either he stops my takedowns, and I get my face punched in, or he can't stop my takedowns, and I do whatever I feel like doing on the ground. One way or the other, expect a violent beatdown. Now excuse me, as I finish preparing for the fight. And by preparing, I mean finishing this bottle of Kracken.."

Interviewer: Thank you for the time Jack, good luck. There you have it ladies and gentleman. Expect a one sided assault, no matter who wins this fight.

HFC 16 - Waller vs Repine

RIO DE JANEIRO!!! We are so happy to say hello to you again. This will be our FIRST event in Rio under the banner of HARDCORE Fighting Championship. We have hosted events here before that have been legendary (RIP Tito, big ups homie) but not under our new re-branding of HARDCORE Championship Fighting. Now of course HFC President J.W. Hardman wanted to make sure that Rio gets treated with something special on the night of our return. “This is a special card, 2 belts getting wrapped tonight, bonuses will be flying. I mean just look at the headliner, that's 600 pounds of mean killing machines going at it”. Hardman is referring to the headline fight which will pit Super Heavyweight Champ Doug "And The" Slugs Vs Julio "Iguanaman" Falcon. Both fighters are 300 pounds and literally eat baby elephants for breakfast. What an exciting night, As I type this I am struggling to not succumb to the overwhelming joy that is surging through my body.

Lets breakdown the cards top fights-

©Doug "And The" Slugs (8-1) Vs. (2)Julio "Iguanaman" Falcon (6-3) - 265lb Super Heavyweight Championship

In his two fights here at HFC, our Super Heavyweight Champion Doug Slugs has been nothing short of dominant. He is lethal with his hands, elbows, knees and feet when standing. He also has a great ground game. We should be proud to have such a well rounded champ. However, HFC has some of the best talent in the world and Slugs opponent will be his greatest challenge to date. Julio “The IguanaMan” Falcon is also extremely well rounded and has looked equally impressive in his two HFC fights. This fight was the one that everyone wanted to see in the Super Heavyweight division. Really the only hestion from HFC matchmaker Igor Peixoto for making this fight was the issue of finding a proper ring. “Look these are some big boys, regulation rings can take thousands of pounds of pressure, but when you consider mass, speed and velocity there is potential for ring thresholds to be broken. We did our due diligence, we will have a reinforced ring in Rio that can handle the impact of an asteroid.” Reports are that the Brazilian Government wanted to buy this ring from HFC after the event to use as a bomb shelter. HFC refused, as they will need this ring for future events. Everything about this fight is extraordinary, including the ring.

Prediction: An instant classic that shapes the history of the HFC SuperHeavyWeight division. Many claim it is a lock for fight of the year. Current Champ Doug Slugs loses an insanely close split decision that sees action standing and all over the ground. Rematch is imminent, good thing we already have the ring.

(1)Jack Waller (7-0) Vs. (5)Chad Repine (6-3) - 135lb Bantamweight Championship - (Vacant Belt)

It takes a strong man to be patient and disciplined. For his whole life Jack Waller has embodied those things and it led him to becoming the HFC 135lb champion. Life was great. But in life, things happen. When a massive merger took place that saw a huge influx of talent join HFC. It forced Jack to relinquish his 135lb title. What would you do if you were Jack? I would be distraught, heartbroken and calling my mom hourly. Well Jack is a stronger man than me. He just got back to work. He kept winning and guess what? Here Jack is fighting for “his” belt. “Look business is business, I focus on what I can control, which is these hands, any want some smoke? (*epic 15 punch air combo)”. Powerful words from Jack Waller. All that stands in Jack’s way from reuniting with his belt is not a current champ. No, the former current champ (sounds weird I know), is still MIA. President Hardman made the tough call and stripped the MIA champ of his belt. There's a full statement from Hardman on that situation in the league forum, please refer there for any questions regarding that situation. Instead Jack Waller will face off against the man who most recently challenged the former champ, Chad Repine. While Chad did lose that title match, both match maker Igor Peixoto and President Hardman feel Chad is worthy of title contention. I went to a couple of Chads sparring sessions and I agree, that kid can fight. He knocked a sparring partner out cold for 30 minutes. They just put the guy in the corner of the gym lying unconscious and kept training. I asked, “is it okay to just leave him there?”, they responded “it happens all the time to all of us, he (sparring partner) should be fine, Frank (former sparring partner) did die, but that was from an insane flying knee which we don't allow Chad to do in sparring anymore…” . Chad’s sparring partner did wake up (thank god) and was pretty lighthearted about the whole thing. Crazy, I know. Anyways, this will be a great fight, whoever wins will be a very deserving champion. Both fighters are comfortable standing and exchanging, or going to the ground. This fight will showcase all aspects of MMA.

Prediction: Chad shows he is Championship worthy and finishes Jack with a nasty right hand. Chad Repine -Win by KO

(5)Lucas Pardo (5-2) Vs. Nick "Bear" Wright (2-2) - 265lb Heavyweight Division Bought

It is always fun when a high ranked HFC contender takes on a well respected newcomer from an outside organization. This is exactly what we have here. The Heavyweight division is already stacked and we’ve already witnessed a lot of the top guys throw down. Lucas is fresh off of a loss against the current champ and all around beast of a man, Lynch “Moral Low” Boshank. Before the title shot Lucas beat another top Heavyweight contender in Kirill Semenov. Semenov lost to Pardo but then beat another top contender Jack Sparrow. Needless to say the top of the heavyweight division is quite interesting. Enter stage left newcomer Nick "Bear" Wright. With a win here, the division will be even more shook up. Even if Nick loses, look for him to be fighting top 10 guys in the HW division in HFC for the foreseeable future. Lucas is dangerous all over, Nick will look to showcase his bjj as he may be outmatched in the standup category.

Prediction: Nick’s welcome party is cut short, Lucas Pardo wins with a 2nd Round TKO and begins his climb back up the rankings. Post fight, Lucas grabs the mike from Joe Rogan. He calls for a rematch with the champ during a profanity laced rant that touches topics from politics to baking recipes. The crowd in Rio goes crazy, they love every second of it.

(9)Piotr "Pepis" Przepiorka (4-1) Vs. Togachi "Little Mountain" Nakamoto (0-2) - 155lb Lightweight Bought

One of these fighters will get their first win under the HFC banner. Piotr was 4-0 coming into his HFC debut, but lost via armbar in the 2nd round. Togachi has only two fights, both in HFC, both losses. Good on the kid for jumping into the deep end, he is only 19. Both guys are talented and will have solid HFC careers as they develop. Togachi wants to utilize his Muay Thai and strike, Piotr will look for takedowns and submissions.

Prediction: Togachi shows a ton of heart and comes close to finishing Piotr with some big shots, but Piotr’s relentless submission attempts eventually work, Togachi gets caught in a kimura 3rd round.

UnderCard

The undercard is a tribute to how fast HFC is growing and how deep their talent is. We will be watching all of these fighters as they progress and begin to climb the HFC rankings.

Folks we are proud and honored to bring you this night of fights. On behalf of the HARDCORE Fighting Championship enjoy and fight on!

155 contender BALINK TARLAH about his win and whats next:

- Good job to Heed, very strong fighter and tue biggest win for me. I think he must train more harder because he can beat many fighters from 155 and 170. I wanna say something that i wanna say for long time, I win this one and now I have 3 wins in row with top 10 opponents. My only loose is with Conor bot I was not prepared for that fight and I don t try to found me sorrys bit in a rematch we will fight for the belt for sure. Why I was never in top 10? When I fight John Henry he was 8 in rankings or 7, me? He tapoed from strikes like a girl and he is still in main card? Me undercard? Look at my fight with him and you will know what I say. When I fight Heed he was 4, I? Not in rankings, and still fighters chose who to fight because they talk dirty. I respect Fighters and I don t do trash talks like the rest. IF YOU talk shit about me I will crush you like I crush Henry or Heed. Inwanna chose Marco Silva, one of tue best fighters that is in this org. Is my dream fight and Ibe happy to fight me, win loose IDK. Let s fight Silva, 155, 170 you chose.

Daniel Koh

Interviewer: Hey HFC fans! Thanks for tuning in! Im backstage with Daniel KOH, who is making his debut tonight against 0-4 Rodrigo Pettis. Daniel, there's rumors that you and your team were very cautious about picking your first opponent, and even though you have been signed to HFC for a while, you wanted many months of training for your debut. So, why now, and why Rodrigo Pettis?

Daniel: First of all, thank you for the interview. My team and I decided on Rodrigo for a few reasons. I do need a lot more time and training before I take on top contenders in HFC, but we feel that Rodrigo is an even matchup. Even though he is 0-4, he still has dangerous hands, and anyone can get knocked out. Our team is looking at this as a test fight. He obviously isn't the greatest fighter ever, but he will still be a good challenge for my first fight to test my skills and see where I'm at in my training. If I don't win, then I don't deserve an MMA career anyway.

Interviewer: How do you see this fight going? Do you have a prediction?

Daniel: My prediction is I'll win by finish, wherever the fight goes. I don't know the round or the method, but I'm ready for any scenario.

Interviewer: Well Daniel thank you for your time, and good luck tonight!

HFC 16 - Waller vs Repine Event Review

Did I mention cards in Rio are usually legendary? I did mention that, (check the preview). I will be honest with you all, I am not usually right, in fact, people who know me, often call me four letter words that imply the exact opposite. But on this occasion, I was RIGHT!!!! Ten fights, count them TEN and NINE of those ten were fights ended in stoppage. That's right folks, we had an insane 90% finish rate here at HFC 16! “Exceeded all expectations on every front”, HFC President J.W. started off with, “We don't plan for a 90% finish rate but when the matchups lineup and Rio just has that certain something, fireworks can happen. It’s time to celebrate. I will be at the HFC VIP lounge”. Let's look at what happened and talk about how this night became so epic.

Doug "And The" Slugs(9-1) defends his 265lb+ Super Heavyweight Championship Bout as he defeats Julio "Iguanaman" Falcon (6-4) via 1st round TKO (Strikes)- This one was just brutal to watch. Slugs absolutely dominated in the clinch and made short work of Iguanaman. At one point it looked like Slugs turned into a massive three hundred pound spider with elbows and knees coming from everywhere. Within one minute from the start of the fight Falcon was cut. A couple painstaking minutes of knees and elbows later, Falcon crumpled to the canvas and the ref called an end to the beating and an end to a great night of fights. Slugs deservingly won KO of the night. Falcon was immediately transported to the local hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery and had this comment, “Good fight, couple elbows surprised me but I will be back. Respect to the champ, it is his night”. Humble words from a great fighter, we will keep an eye on Falcon’s return. Also to note the ring did not break which was a key concern going into the fight due to the sheer mass of the fighters.

Rankings Impact: Champ stays atop his throne and likely faces the winner of the match between #1 Contender Matthaus Gold "Dust" Vs. #5 Li "Strong" Qiang at HFC 19. Falcon sits at 4 in the rankings. He will need to put together a few wins to get another shot, but still remains in a solid position as a top contender.

Chad Repine (7-3) wins the vacant 135lb Bantamweight Championship Bout as he defeats Jack Waller (7-1) via 2nd round TKO (Punches)

Chad Repine just announced himself on the HFC scene and folks watch out. We’ve all heard the sparring horror stories of Repine knocking sparring partners out cold on a daily basis , now we’ve seen it first hand. Waller had no answers for Repine anywhere. The fight never saw the ground, but in stand up exchanges Repine out landed Waller 46-21. In the clinch Repine landed 39 strikes to Waller’s 7….ouch. Don't get me wrong, Waller actually looked pretty solid. Those 21 shots were good strikes, but Repine was just relentless. Eventually all that punishment took its toll and Waller was put down permanently in the second round. This fight took home the honor of Fight of Night, as it was a fast paced battle that had great exchanges.

Rankings Impact: The stage is set perfectly for the new champ Chad Repine to face the winner of #3"Natural" Mystic Marley Vs. #1 Alan Ragasatria. Jack Waller stays at #2 in the rankings. He may face the loser from the fight above or a different fighter who thinks they deserve his spot in the rankings. If Cody G. ever shows up then who knows what happens...

Lucas Pardo (6-2) defeats Nick "Bear" Wright (2-3) via 1st round TKO (Strikes) - 265lb Heavyweight Division Bout

“It is always fun when a high ranked HFC contender takes on a well respected newcomer from an outside organization.” My exact quote from the event preview. I was right, Nick’s welcome to the HFC was fun for some, but Nick was not one of them. Nick’s opponent, Lucas Pardo, showed we do things very different here in the HFC and as predicted by yours truly, Lucas handed Nick a brutal TKO loss within 30 seconds of the fight beginning (I was one round off on my prediction). Also to note Lucas was very humble in his post fight comments, thanking the fans and not mentioning anything title related.

Rankings Impact: Lucas sticks at #5, he will need to face a top 5 contender to start making a move towards another title shot. However Lucas looked great and he showed HFC Heavyweights can bang with anyone. Nick will go back to the drawing boards. He will be just fine here in HFC but may not be ready for top 8 talent just yet.

Togachi "Little Mountain" Nakamoto (1-2) defeats Piotr "Pepis" Przepiorka (4-2) via

An interesting fight that saw a lot of clinchwork, takedowns, and sub attempts. By the second round both fighters were exhausted and locked into a clinch. Togachi “Little Mountain” landed a massive boulder of a knee that sent Piotr to lala land. Togachio followed the knee with some punches and eventually finished it all with an amazing diving hammer fist.

Rankings Impact: Piotr falls from #9 to unranked, Togachi gets a much needed win. One or two more of those for him and he will be looking for his name in the top 10.

UnderCard

This undercard was great. Huge shout out to Tanaka Matsuda, for taking home the Submission of the Night award courtesy of a nasty armbar. It looked so painful I iced my elbow just from watching it.

NOW THIS IS A DIVISION WHICH IS PROBABLY THE MOST MATCHED UP ACROSS HFC IN TERMS OF COMPETITION FOR SPOTS IN THE RANKS BECAUSE THE TOP 5 IN THIS DIVISION IS AS CLOSE TOGETHER IN TERMS OF SKILL AND STYLE AS IT GET'S HERE IN HFC PROBABLY EXCEPT THE CHAMPION, JUST. SUPER-HEAVYWEIGHT

NOW THIS IS REALLY A DIVISION OF THE UNKNOWN BECAUSE APART FROM THE TOP 5 THERE IS NOT MANY FIGHTERS IN HERE WHO ARE PROVEN HERE IN HFC AND THEREFORE THERE IS A SUBSTANCIAL GULF IN CLASS AMONG THE TOP 5 AND THE REMAINING FIGHTERS IN THE DIVISION. SO LET'S SEE WHAT THEIR RANKINGS ARE.
