Leg kicks effect?

I read in one of the fight commentaries that Fighter A is trying to slow down Fighter B with leg kicks. Is this actually the case or is this just a flavor text?

If this is the case, how does fighter A slow down fighter B? Reduces his speed, his aggression? A number of moves per minute/round?

Ok, so what do body kicks and body punches do? If I remember correctly, body punches and body kicks gas out the opponent, which is the same thing right - lower energy, as you say, lower output? So bottom line, body kicks and leg kicks have same purpose, just the leg kicks are easier to execute and it takes less out of your fighter?

Or maybe I am wrong about this?

Its like Punches

Accuracy from lower to higher: Combos, Body Punch, Head Punch
Energy sap from lower to higher: Head punch, body punch, combos?

Its the same for kicks. Both body and leg kicks saps energy. Legs have higher base accuracy and lower damage

Let's think about this from a more realistic standpoint for the game. Also this is just my own opinion

Leg kicks and body kicks will both effect your opponent's physicals

I believe that body kicks take most effect on someone's Conditioning!

While I believe leg kicks will take most effect on someone's Agility , Speed, and Balance. From a realistic standpoint.

Now I know for sure that leg kicks will affect a person speed! My fighter InSaen Chai had landed 51 out of 70 leg kicks against his opponent William Stubbs. And it says this in the fight ....

"You can see that Stubbs has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks"

Maybe, or it could just be that it chipped away at the fighter's energy...

Hard telling without confirmation from Mike or whoever programmed the engine.

In this game, I haven't seen any TKO by body shot or leg kicks. Which in real life does happen. So it is just a "Maybe" to what we actually know the leg kicks effect...

But if the creator did add some realism to it, I hope that the leg kicks have more effects on other physicals than just the conditioning/energy...

100% you can't get body shot or leg/body kick ko's, but the impact from "breathing heavily" usually leads to them.

I've definitely seen "he's gassed" from leg kicks landing so I'm pretty sure it just impacts the energy meter...

at least the only thing concrete we can prove is that it impacts energy meter anyway.

100%

Butch Frewin just re-won the Smash belt by making his opponent breathe heavy with one leg kick followed by one body kick. Was one of the faster ones I've seen. I've seen it with two body shots (with huge damage sliders and KO power), but I don't recall seeing just one body shot apart from maybe a knee. So maybe the leg kick did a fair bit of work.
