Fighter Interview: Colby Ortiz

J.W. "Hello Colby, how are you doing today?"

Colby " I'm great, just got done training with my boxing coach. Now I get some much deserved media exposure!"

J.W. "You have been in the HFC a while, what do you think of the organization?"

Colby "I make good money here, I've had really good match ups and opportunities. I came into this company ready to beat people into oblivion and they've allowed me to do that."

J.W. "You started off with a quick start bursting onto the scene with a 3-0 record. How did you take that first loss against Alexander?"

Colby "I took it on the chin obviously. I was pissed because the guy wasn't on my level and landed a couple hammers that caught me.

Good on him, he now has Colby Ortiz on his resume. One day after my legendary career is over he'll be able to tell his grand kids about the lucky punch he threw that took down a legend."

J.W. "He was the #1 contender at that point, so that was a very big fight for you. It must of been a tough pill to swallow, but you have to give yourself credit for being at that point in the rankings at this stage of your career. Did that loss fuel you in your last fight against Hornfellow? That was a brilliant KO!"

Colby "I felt that loss was going to derail me if I didn't get up off my ass and work twice as hard. I joined a new gym and went into the fight with Hornfellow knowing I'm the best 185er in this company. When I got on top of him and was able to throw down strikes I didn't want to stop. In my mind he was Martin Alexander and I was finally getting my revenge."

J.W. "So now you find yourself in another big match, not only are you fighting on the first annual 4/20 card, your opponent is undefeated Boubacar Dembele who is new to the HFC but burst onto the scene with a quick TKO finish against Spencer in his debut."

J.W. "What do you think about being offered to fight on the 4/20 card?"

Colby "Some guys make a big deal out of the 420 stuff but to me it's just another day to prove to the world that I am the best."

J.W. "How would you sum up Dembele as a fighter?"

Colby "I think he has a great management team. I mean to be young in the game and get a shot at a legend like me he has to right? He is a Martin Alexander clone. He has heavy hands but hasn't faced anyone. Every guy he has faced is no longer in the mma business. He has a punchers chance and that's it."

J.W. "Who do you feel will win that fight?"

Colby "I absolutely believe I will knock him out via tko in the second round. I know what he wants to do is stand and take shots at me. He knows I'm an elite level wrestler with the best trainers money can by. That's a hint kid that no matter where the fight goes I'll be ready. I want to take him into deep water. He's never even been two minutes into a fight. How is he going to react when a gorilla is on top of him throwing the hardest punches possible at his face?"

J.W. "Any words for Dembele before the fight?"

Colby "Please don't ask for a photo at weigh ins okay? My last opponent did that and it's so unprofessional. After I knock you out I'll take a picture standing over your unconscious body and I'll make sure your manager gets it to you."

J.W. "So you are starting to get some fans following you as your career continues to develop. Do you have any words for your fans?"

Colby "Go to threads of hardcore and order yourself a Colby Ortiz shirt. Keep following the greatest leader in the world, Donald Trump. On April 20th watch me knock out this fool and send him back to Zimbabwe or wherever he's from cause it ain't America."

J.W. "And to build upon your fan base knowledge, how about a little bit about yourself? What do you do when you are not in the cage or training for a fight?"

Colby "I'm in the gym every day multiple times a day but I really enjoy talking to President Trump and working on my cardio with all the fine American women out there. Your wives, girlfriends , sisters and even Moms have been kind enough to help me on my road to greatness."

J.W. "It's been great talking with you Colby. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this interview. Good luck in your upcoming fight, and I look forward to watching your career unfold in the HFC."
