Don't worry, man, this time slashing taxes on billionaires will make us all rich. The reason trickle-down economics failed every time before is actually only just because of LOOK TERRORISTS! TERRORISTS!

I seriously cannot believe my dumb fucking countrymen got tricked by a "Make America Great" message from a guy who is still making his clothes in China, even the special inauguration editions. Do they not have con men in middle America?

Trump > Clinton

Is President Donald J. Trump the savior?  No.  Is President Donald J.Trump a great candidate?  No.  Is President Donald J. Trump better than either Clinton? Yes. Is America's and world stability more secure with American President Donald J. Trump than her?  Potentially, yes.  Not a guarantee, but at least it's a gamble the majority believe is worth taking.

For the record I don't like Trump.  I'm just tired of seeing the same war profiteering, fear mongering, political propaganda.  I'd rather gamble on a crooked businessman than another crooked politician.  President is just a figurehead/scapegoat - the real problem's most likely with the Senate, Congress, etc.  Top to bottom.  Trickle effect.

One of the better jokes I've heard on politics is from Robin Williams was something like:

"politicians should wear jackets like nascar drivers so we know who owns them"

"Majority"

Majority of states as expressed through the electoral college. As the presidential election has always been decided by since the county's inception.

My opinion exactly. I also do not like Trump at all, i think he is a terrible candidate, but Hilary to me is even worse.

Trump is also more of a wildcard, nobody knows for sure what will happen, the thing is, Clinton is exactly the opposite, we know for certain nothing will go anywhere. She is a poor version of Obama, nothing new. The USA has had a deteriorating role in world politics, the deficit is through the roof, Nato is in shambles, what Trump talks about kind of makes sense, if he will implement anything he says is a different question, but i think he will at least try.

Trump's not that bad. But he's like 70 and if he dies in office, Pence is a whole lot worse.

Stop being a pussy, it's not like he's significantly worse than Clinton-- trying to say either would be worse is like trying to claim that one of two huge piles of elephant shit smells worse.  The best outcome for America would've been if the Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees from the two major parties had all somehow spontaneously combusted upon nomination.

No, its a great system.  It gives every person in every state a say in who is elected president.  Large population states are given more weight, but there is still representation of small population states.  The US was never intended to be an immense super state where a popular vote would decide the presidency.  It is a coalition of smaller states, its even in the name of the country.  The electoral college is an essential check that retains some power in small states in a Republic, it was a great idea when initially installed and remains one to this day.

If you want to change it to a popular vote then thats your opinion.  But to institute that their would have to be strict voter laws that were actually enforced.  Clinton won the popular vote by around 3.5 million (iirc, its irrelevant so i wont bother to look it up) and all that was gained in CA where you dont have to show ID to vote.  Voter fraud is rampant there and in quite a few other states.  That would all need to be cleaned up.
