Whats wrong with this ???

His chin fades to ether (or something). And the face-off has not been the most succesfull one since the original head is looking slightly to our right and the slapped on one looks slightly to the left. Shadows are a bit wonky aswell. Sorry. :P

Maybe its just me, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Did they give you any reason why it was rejected?

 

Are you for reals? I dont mean to be a dick to you or to the OP but that face just doesn't blend well......... Imagine that thing walking towards you in a dark alley. :)

That look comletely fine to me too. It shouldn't be an issue if the facial features look a bit funny as there's actually people like that. You know, like Tito Ortiz.

It's more of an issue why avatars like these get accepted:

I don't really see the problem that you have with the first one?(can't pronounce on the second one because is not my creation) I worked like one hour and a half to make it avatarsh. The eyes are from avatar, nose and mouth as well. All the black lines that you see around his mouth is done manually and the face was adjusted so it will look as real as can be.

 

As for what the first one got rejected, mike always leaves a motive so you can correct it based on the problem, and then send it again.

The guy I sold it to said he didnt get a reason and is waiting for a reply from Mike ...
I have contacted Mike, so hopefully it should be resolved soon, and I will post the outcome on here

Is there not a better way for avatar creators to sell them ... or get acceptance before we sell them ???

Well, can't really say it doesn't sort of look good. I just don't see why avatars like that would belong in a MMA game.

i did send a reply why it got rejected.

 

with this one, the head is basically just plonked on the body. the face points a different direction to the head and the chin just fades into nothing. it's also a slightly different colour and texture.

yes better but the face still isnt pointing the same direction as the head. you've got one big ole ear on the site, showing that the head is facing quite dramatically one way, then the face is looking straight ahead.

 

i would alter the contrast and brightness of the background so it is darker and higher contrast, so there isn't a clear differentiation between the skin on the neck and the head on the right of the picture. then you can squeeze the left of the head (as we look at it) vertically so it looks like it's facing to the left of the screen as we look at it.

You mean, you don't see what's wrong with it? You can tell you circled around the face and just cut/paste it over it. Look at all the other avatars around.

That last one looks like the head/face is pasted onto the body, as they've been saying. The one before that definetly looks passable compared to a lot of avatars I see around Tycoon. For Mike's sake, one of the greatest little fighters in the games history is a fucking Oompa Loompa. Mike IS an equal opportunity employer.

I wouldn't say its the greatest avatar i have ever seen but i don't think it should be rejected based on others i have seen that have been accepted.

Trying working with smaller sections of the face at a time instead of the entire face at once. It's more work, but you get a better result in the end. For example, start with the eyes, then the nose, then the mouth etc...that way you have the freedom to adjust each one separately until it looks more natural. If you haven't already done so, refer to the Avatar thread in the pics/multimedia section.
