  10. Hey guys, I recently spoke to Wrestling Bot via Skype, a new entrant into the EMMA ranks, after he had a very impressive win in his EMMA debut. Wrestling Bot has fought in various promotions in the Sydney MMA scene but decided he needed a change in scenery. In his EMMA debut he faced Velimir Stojkovic an a fairly high profile bout. Velimir was controlling the first two rounds and most of the third until a hail marry sweep put Wrestling Bot in mount. He didn't wait a second and finished the fight with only seconds left. We talked about his career until now, why he came to EMMA and his plans for his next fight. 1. Hey Bot, congratulations on a successful EMMA debut. What made you decide to start fighting in Montreal considering you train out of Hilo? I needed a new start and my manger said to go to Hilo to clear my head and help get me a few come back fights so now I'm off to Montreal what can i say a found a home and its time to give it my all. This is also marks your first fight as a welterweight, are you looking to reinvent yourself at this weight class? I feel great not cutting weight and what better way to make a come back then by moving weight classes and going for a belt there. I fell stronger and in better shape fighting here, so keep a eye on me. Lets talk about your win for a second, Velimir had serious hype around him and it looked pretty much for the entire fight that he was going to live up to the hype, what allowed you to score the insane come from behind victory? Man that was a tough fight and i knew i lost the first round nit sure about that second round so when i went into my corner they told me i had to finish and that its what i needed, This is my life i have nothing and no nothing but fighting. so i gave that sweep everything i had and when i got on top i knew it was time to let go. Is this the first time in your career that you had to dig deep, come back from being 2 rounds down and finish the fight? This is the first time iv been down two rounds to none, i know when i fought in Sydney i came back from one round this is the first time it was two and wow it was a lucky lucky finish i hope i never have to do it again but if i do we all know i can. You are currently booked for a title fight against Bobby Digital even though having fought just once in the division. What do you think helped in you getting the fight? i feel honored and sometimes i ketch my self thinking it was a dream but its not. I think i got the shot because i beat such a good fighter in come back and you know i showed heart i never slowed and never let the thought of losing show. What do you make of the current situation with former/current champ Sonny Boom? He has yet to lose a title fight and it's unclear why he was stripped? Its odd but if the brass think that's what was best then its whats best He is a great fighter and i look forward to getting a chance to beat him in a title fight but first i have to win and he has to finish this issue with EMMA How do you plan to prepare for Digital and how do you see yourself winning that fight? I'm going to go in and train with all my might iv never been so motivated before. Hes a great fighter and a great champ but im not going to let him beat me, its my belt and hes just warming it for me so when it comes home to me people will remember Digital the guy who lost to the best. Allright Wrestling Bot, thanks so much for your time, do you have any shoutouts? Yeah, thanks to my manager, Andrew Rock.
  11. The EMMA Hour: Episode 2 MAX: Hello all, welcome to the second episode of The EMMA Hour. I hope you all enjoyed the first show as much as you will this episode. This episode is being sponsored by Sydney Beast Clothing, make sure to order your EMMA clothing now. Today we will be visited by the reigning EMMA Lightweight Champion, Raekwon the Chef. We are going to talk to him about his title reign, his upcoming fight and what the future holds for him. Raekwon the Chef faces Paul Hewson this Friday in the Underground Arena in Montreal. The fight is a non-title fight since Hewson will be making is lightweight debut, nonetheless The Chef puts his hype and undefeated record on the line. We tried to get Hewson in as well but sadly he was unable to make it. Anyway, enough talk, lets welcome in the EMMA lightweight champ! Are you there Raekwon? The Chef: Wadup Max, Wu Tang killa bee Chef right here, Black Elvis for yall Max: Just great, pleased to have you on the show, you’re doing good yourself? The Chef: yeah man, training is going great, always training hard over here in Hilo. Max: Good to here, let’s get right into some questions. You are turning in to one of EMMA's biggest draws and you are so fresh in your career. What has allowed you to fight at a championship level so early on? The Chef: Well I gotta say that when I do somethin' I do it right 'n if it ain't right I ain't doin' it. And that applies to everythin' I ever done it don't matta what: writin', rappin' makin' movies or fightin', I come to do that thing 'n do it good you know what I'm sayin'? Comin' into MMA I started training with Shining Eagle back last year, an' at first I wasn't too into it. Cuz I don't ever want to rush what im doing cuz I like to take my time 'n do it right. But my boy Shining Eagle talked to me cuz he saw me in the gym and saw how I did my thing. He told me he knew right away I had something real there and he told me I should be getting my first fight soon and I didn't think I was ready cuz i was only 19. But he was right an' he signed me with ROF and right there I got my first fight. Nobody thought I could take that guy all undefeated an' shit. But I went in there and I did it and 3 rounds in got that TKO from mount. Word is that boy retired right after that fight an' never got in the cage again. An' the rest is history you know, the title with EMMA an' everythin' is just icing on the cake and all praises due to Allah. Max: Wow, good to hear your head is still on straight. This fight is not going to be a title fight, do you like having these fights, or would you prefer to defend your belt every time you fight? At least the pressure on you is less. The Chef: I guess maybe there's less pressure but you know me I come in and I come to fight so from the bottom to the top you know how it go, an' whether its for the title or not I'm gonna come to fight my fight and ain't nothin' gonna change that. Cuz I always keep my head up and no matter what happens that ain't gonna change. wu tang foreva! Max: A true champions mindset, very commendable. Let’s talk about your opponent a bit now, Hewson has had a fairly good career at 170 but is now dropping down to 155 as the competition got higher. He carries some serious power, what are your thoughts on your opponent? The Chef: For sure Hewson's got some serious power no doubt. He's been real good at what he do all this time and you know I could never fight the fight's he's been in. Fighting at welterweight is a whole different game when ur a height like me an' him so I understand why he's droppin' down. Today it's all about the reach an' where you got the reach so u just gotta find your groove an' do what you do. Hewson went into that cage and knocked out every guy put in there or got knocked out trying to do it and I respect that. When we do fight I'll be for real with y'all I dunno if I'm gonna get it done the way you may see it happenin'. But I'm gonna have to watch his hands cuz he can really really lay some heavy shit when he wants to. Max: Well I for one can’t wait to see it go down, but without being to specific, what do you need to do to avoid those bombs and win this fight? The Chef: Just like I said, he can lay down that heavy shit when he lands it but thats the thing: he's gotta land it right? I ain't gonna get too in depth yet cuz we all want to see what's goin' to happen but I'm gonna have to be doin' a lot of duckin' and weavin' an' I ain't gonna lie I'm gonna do what I gotta do to win that fight title or not. Max: This will be your fourth fight under the EMMA banner, how happy are you here and how long do you wish to defend that belt of yours? The Chef: Well to me everything that's happened so far is just a blessing. For real im just here to get that cash rules everything around me to feed my family you know. I'm real happy here an' it's nice to come visit Montreal once in a while they got some fine ass honeys! And when it comes to the belt: I'm gonna defend it for as long as somebody can get in here wit' me an' fuck wit' the Wu Tang! Max: Great to here we get to see you develop a bit here under the EMMA banner. Lightweight is one of the thinner divisions but I was wondering, looking past Hewson for a moment, who else you see out there that could challenge you for your belt? The Chef: I just seen some of the new recruits up in the EMMA an' 2 names that really jump out after I seen 'em and watched some tapes is Nate Kyzer an' Saul Hudson. Those are 2 guys that I'm really gonna have to be hitting the gym and callin in some real experts for if I'm gonna fight some real vets of lightweight like those. Max: I mean, you really seem to know what you want and where you are going in this crazy sport and I really appreciate you coming on my show. Do you have any shout outs or anything before we let you go? The Chef: Hey, thanks to you Max and a shout out to every nigga that be doin' the same thing im doin' cuz fightin' is a tough game an' you don't always make it out easy! I appreciate yall niggaz for supportin' me. And last is a shout out to Mr Cropper for making it all possible with EMMA, Shining Eagle for the inspiration, the confidence and eveything you could want from a manager! RIP ODB we love you brotha Wu tang foreva! Max: Bye The chef, great to have you! Well that concludes it ladies and gentlemen. Shame we couldn’t get Hewson in to respond to some of those comments, maybe next time. I will see you all at the Underground Arena this Friday! The Chef vs Hewson, it’s going Down! Untill next time folks, Maximiliian Marks...I’m out.
  12. Max Marks: Hello everybody and hello to the first ever episode of The EMMA Hour Radio Show! I am your host, Maximilian Marks, and today we get a visit from both the fighters involved in EMMA 22’s main event. The fight features rising star Walter Sullivan face off against the seasoned veteran, Aaron Archer. Archer put himself on the map when he beat the last EMMA 185 lbs champion Eli Crowe in a three round fight. The title rematch between the two never came to fruition because of falling out between Mr Cropper, the EMMA owner, and the Crowe brother’s manager, Hans Schmidt. Sullivan has been with EMMA since before the change of names and really put himself on the map by edging Archer by split decision back on the EMMA 18 card. Archer has since bounced back from that loss and now it really only makes sense to have these two fight for the belt. Now let’s welcome our first guest....are you there Walter? Walter: Hey Max, I’m here! Max marks: Great! Let’s get right to it. This is not the first time you are fighting for a belt but you did come up short the first time back in HERO, how much have you improved since then? Walter: Do not forget, my opponent in first title fight was Aleksi Vihthala, undefeated fenom, who has now a perfect 14-0 record - a worthy opponent, and maybe this fight happened too early in my career. Now I have a lot more experience, I became mentally and physically stronger and transformed from pure boxer with some BJJ skills to complete all-round MMA fighter. Max Marks: It has been a while since you where finished but the two fight TKO losing streak brought your chin into question. What are your thoughts on the matter? Walter: This is MMA, and this is a light heavyweights, they hit hard. A good hit can knock any fighter out. And, as I said before, now I have more experience and am less likely to rush into mindless exchange than before. Max Marks: What is your opinion on your opponent and how he can be beat? Walter: Archer is a tough guy, he is very hard to finish. But i believe in my skills and i plan to prove in this fight, that Walter Sullivan is the best light heavyweight in the EMMA. The key to victory will be constant pressure on Archer, i don't think he will be ready for 25-minute high-speed action. Max Marks: This is a rematch of a fight that went the distance. You won the other by a controversial split decision, do you think the judges got the call right? Walter: I do not see anything controversial in this decision. I was better in standup, and Archer don't do any real damage on the ground. I was surprised that one of the judges gave him the victory. Max Marks: Are you looking to finish this fight to make a definitive statement? Walter: I always try to show the audience a good fight and finish it early. But i'm not going to take unnecessarily risk. In the end, the most important thing - who will leave the cage as a champion. Max Marks: What do you expect Archer to do differently, if anything? Walter: If Archer thinks he know my style - I had prepared a few surprises for him. But, to be honest, i don't think he can do much changes in his gameplan. Wrestling is his base, and in all of his fight he is trying to do exact same thing - take opponent down and control him from the top. I plan to use his predictability. Max Marks: Not looking past Archer, but should you get the win, are you looking to keep him at EMMA to defend that belt a few times? Walter: At the moment I'm under contract with Emma, and I would be happy to represent EMMA as their light heavyweight champion. Max Marks: Allright Walter, thanks so much for your time and best of luck to you in your fight next week! Walter: Thanks Max, happy to come in today. Shout out to Silent Hill MMA Academy and my manager John Marston! Max Marks: Great to hear from Walter and good to see his English has gotten much better! Now let’s move on....are you there Aaron? Aaron: Hey Max, I’m here. What’s up man? Max Marks: Im, doing good Aaron. Just like Sullivan, this is not the first time you are fighting for a belt but you did come up short the first time back in the TTFC, how much have you improved since then? Aaron: Back then I was just a 19 year old kid. I have matured so much since then, become more aware of my strengths and weaknesses Max Marks: It has been a while since you where finished but you have always seemed to have a bit of trouble staying consistent. What are you going to do differently in EMMA to put some wins together, especially considering the position you are in now? Aaron: Just keep doing what I'm doing. The competition in EMMA is tough, and it's hard to string wins together. Max Marks: What is your opinion on your opponent and how he can be beat? Aaron: I have a good idea on how to beat him, but I'm not comfortable revealing that in advance! Max Marks: This is a rematch of a fight that went the distance. Sullivan won the other by a controversial split decision, do you think you won that fight? Aaron: No, I respect the judge's decision, but I think it will guarantee an exciting fight because we don't want it left up to the judges again. Max Marks: What do you need to do differently in the rematch? Aaron: That’s the same thing again Max! Not going to reveal that in this interview. Max Marks: Not looking past Sullivan, but should Archer get the win, are you looking to keep him at EMMA to defend that belt a few times? Aaron: Yes, loyalty to a promotion is very important. I would give other people the same opportunity I was given. Max Marks: Ok great! Thanks for coming in today Aaron, it was great to have you. Best of luck in your fight! Aaron: Thanks Max, it was fun to be on the show. Quick shout out to my Gym, MLC Elite Gym, and my manager, Kyle Pearce. Max Marks: Wow, he certainly was secretive about his game plan I can’t wait to see it in action. Definitely am more pumped about this fight after hearing from these guys. That wraps up our first episode, hope you guys enjoyed it! PM me if you would like to come on the show one day! Have a good day TycoonMMA Fans!
  13. MORE INTERVIEWS COMING SOON. PM MAXIMILIAN MARKS FOR INTERVIEW
  14. Maximilian Marks sat down with Slickback to ask some questions about his fighter’s, Leonardo, recent title fight. Leonardo Ferreira (6-4) defeated Timmy Soupra by first round TKO at the Big Bang 2 card to claim the heavyweight title. The match was set up after Ferreira managed to do the same thing to Soupra in a 3 round, non-title fight. Ferreira is one of the most technical fighters currently signed with EMMA, especially in the heavyweight division. We talk about his win, his opponent and what the future holds. 1. First of all, Congratz on the win and the belt, what a career turnaround. Where you confident in Leo's ability to win the fight? Of course I was confident in beating this scrub. I can honestly say that it's harder to shove elderly women in front of the bus. Coincidentally, that was a major part of Leo's training camp leading up to this fight. 2. Ferreira came into EMMA with a losing record and on a three fight losing streak, what was going wrong during the stretch? Leo was battling an addiction to a cocktail of prescription painkillers and Krokodil when he came to EMMA. Actually, he's still on that. I dunno, well, he DID find Jesus a year ago, so that might be it. I never would've thought to look for Jesus in my freezer myself, but there you go. 3. Are you interested in keeping Ferreira under contract with EMMA for a while and become a dominant reigning champ, or will you look to use these wins to get a contract in a bigger org in the near future? Leo needs money for transvestite hookers and opiates, so EMMA is as good a place as any to earn money for such necessities 4. Soupra had been at the top of his division for a while and Leo beat him handily, twice. Who do you see out there at heavyweight that could challenge your belt. There is no man out there who Leo won't smite. Luckily the Montreal AC has a very laissez-faire philosophy on drug testing. 5. Soupra is now on a two fight losing streak, do you see him coming back and challenging for a title again in his career? You should ask him that after he wakes up from the punch-induced coma Leo put him in. Leo can't answer himself because he's currently in prison. Apparently breaking into Soupra's hotel room and masturbating onto his sheet while surrounded by Timmy's loved ones is illegal in hippie communist shitholes like Canada. A Pimp Named Slickback is a manager that tells it like it is, however, he did seem to have a few screws loose. Perhaps he is just an eccentric fellow. Knockout Bob, should you feel the need to PM me in order to respond to any of these comments, go right ahead and PM me!
  15. Maximilian Marks had a Skype interview Tremayne Trump to get a chance to talk about Del Norte’s dominant win over Siyad Jarrah to claim the bantamweight belt at the Big Bang 2 event. The 135 lbs division is still very much a work in progress as it has always lacked in a bit of depth and the best way to get an initial contender was to do a tournament. Del Norte fought to a controversial draw with Tyler Lee Jr in the first round but managed to come back with a first round submission in the rematch. He then stopped Brandao in the first round of the fight, not only getting himself to the title but also avenging his only loss. In the tourney final Del Norte and Bertoto went to war, with Del Norte taking home the decision. Del Norte then went on to take the title from Jarrah by unanimous decision in what was a dominant performance. Jarrah was given numerous chances to work his submission game but Del Norte was better standing, and on the ground. 1. First of all, Congratz on the win and the belt, what a career defining moment. Where you confident in Del Norte's ability to win the fight? I knew we had a slight edge in BJJ and that he was winning his fights by submission. So we focused a lot of training on defensive grappling. I would say we were confident but not over confident. 2. Del Norte avanged the only loss on his record, is this something you will look to continue to do throughout his career? Yes. I like to avenge losses. It lets me know that I am doing something right with training and sliders. 3. Are you interested in keeping Del Norte under contract with EMMA for a while and become a dominant reigning champ, or will you look to use these wins to get a contract in a bigger org in the near future? As long as Del Norte has that belt, he will be fighting for EMMA 4. Jarrah had been at the top of his division for a while and Del Norte beat him all 5 rounds. Who do you see out there at bantamweight that could challenge your belt. Bertoto still looks strong, and Chong Zu was looking promising too. Only problem I see is that there is not a lot of depth in the division and most of the fighters with winning records are coming off losses 5. Jarrah was undefeated up until the fight, would you be open to giving him a rematch? Yes. I would definitely give him a rematch. 6. Looking back on the fight, do you wish Del Norte fought a more aggressive fight considering how much better he was on the ground and on the feet? Yes. I would have liked to see him finish. I'm still working on my sliders skills. But as long as I'm getting wins things are good. Trump seemed liked a motivated manager, looking to help his fighters develop, fight to the best of their ability and make a living. At the ending of the interview he added “I would like to thank everyone at EMMA for the chance to fight for a title, And I hope to represent it well. Also look out for Fant's twin brother Antifanz who is fighting tonight in the first round of a SWH tourney.” For any questions or interest regarding a sitdown or interview, PM me and I’ll get back to you! Maximilian Marks
