  1. CEC 661 Main Card Preview Claymore Elite Combat 661 - a clash of the highest-quality featherweights our organization has to offer. Half of the entire featherweight roster will be competing tonight, each one vying for their future shot at a legendary champion. Amidst the 145-pound division’s turbulent landscape, the lightweight belt will be contested in a heated rematch between another long-running champion and his newly-arrived foe. By the end of CEC 661, it will be clear who is here to stay on top - and who is here to take over. 145 lbs. - "ButtStomper" Kotetsu Yamamoto vs. Chris Deal Opening the main card of CEC 661, Chris Deal looks to continue his unbeaten streak in MMA as he welcomes “ButtStomper” Kotetsu Yamamoto to the cage. Deal, a vicious kickboxer with 13 KOs to his name, won his CEC debut in his last fight and will certainly still be hungry for his first finish in MMA. Veteran fighter Yamamoto will look to snap a two-fight skid against the promotional newcomer by using his grappling to stifle Deal’s striking, but another loss could send him deep into the depths of the 145 rankings. 145 lbs. - Walter "Heisenberg" White vs. "Mini Braveheart" Davie Brophy In the next fight, rebounding from his back-and-forth “Heisenberg vs. Heisenberg” match, Walter White gets another shot at respected featherweight “Mini Braveheart” Davie Brophy. Brophy certainly wouldn’t mind pushing another fresh contender back down the rankings as in his last outing against Kotetsu Yamamoto. “Mini Braveheart” finds himself in a unique position regarding the featherweight title picture, having fought current champion Jesus Chico Grande to a draw in his first challenge, but subsequently having lost two decisions to “La Bestia.” Brophy must be convinced in his ability to claim the belt, but he faces a long climb to a fourth shot. “Heisenberg” will have to overcome a slight disadvantage on the feet if he wants to push into the next tier of competition, but he hasn’t been KO’ed yet - will “Mini Braveheart” put his chin to the test? 145 lbs. - Tommy Shelby vs. "Blue Ice" Igydo Dall Though not a title fight, the next two featherweights are title-caliber competitors and are sure to put on a show. Coming off of a first-round TKO at the hands of the defending 145-pound champion, Tommy Shelby is ready for a different kind of challenger - lethal grappler “Blue Ice” Igydo Dall. A TWGC winner, Dall has fought in a number of promotions and engaged in wild battles with all manner of opponents. Though Dall fell in his recent CEC debut to main card fighter Kasey Scorpion, he is confident in his ability to secure a victory for his organizational record against Tommy Shelby, who is also still establishing himself as a name in the featherweight division. “Blue Ice” will certainly be looking to enforce his grappling against Shelby, but Shelby has also been on the wrong end of a number of KOs in his career. Two fighters, eager to prove their value in their division, prolific finishers each - we don’t expect to need the judges for this one. 155 lbs. title bout - Galen "War" Dall vs. Pekka Pera In our co-main event of the evening, the 155-pound belt is on the line as champion Pekka Pera invites Galen “War” Dall to try his luck once more in a rematch of their previous title fight. Pera won the last bout via unanimous decision, smothering Dall on the feet and on the ground as Dall worked fruitlessly for a submission. Dall had a prolific run with the CEC 155-pound belt, and it was certainly bitter to give it up as he tried to implement his best gameplan. Pekka Pera, on the other hand, was only on his fourth fight in CEC before capturing the title, and will definitely have gained some goodwill with the fans by acknowledging the former champion’s dominance by accepting this bout. If he can make it through Galen Dall twice in a row, Pekka Pera will have started his own 155-pound legacy. Though Dall continues to remain a potent threat on the ground, and on paper should have his biggest advantages there, the fact remains that “War” Dall was outgrappled and outmatched by the smaller Pera the last time around - he has to make some big changes if he doesn’t want to waste this immediate rematch. 145 lbs. title bout - "La Bestia" Jesus Chico Grande vs. Kasey "Spider" Scorpion And finally, our main event of CEC 661 features a featherweight title bout between “La Bestia” Jesus Chico Grande and Kasey “Spider” Scorpion. Grande’s storied run as CEC’s featherweight champion includes two trilogies, two pairs of rematches, three super fights, and seven performance bonuses. Grande has proven time and again that he is elite featherweight fighter of CEC, and now is eager to show once more that it doesn’t get any easier the second time around - in his reign as CEC 145-pound champion, he has not lost a rematch with any fighter he has defended against. In their last fight, Kasey Scorpion was defeated by unanimous 49-46 decision after having some success in the early rounds - this following a submission loss in a 155-pound title fight against Galen Dall. “Spider” rebounded with flair, though, snatching a Submission of the Night over highly-regarded promotional newcomer Igydo Dall, and now earns a chance at redemption against the legendary “La Bestia.” Grande had Scorpion hurt on the feet as their last fight drew to a close, and will continue to enjoy a decided advantage over “Spider” in the striking, giving him the opportunity to put a more emphatic stamp on this brief rivalry with a knockout. As Kasey Scorpion has trained for this fight, those opening minutes where he nearly bent Grande to his will must have been burning brightly in his mind - can he replicate, or even improve on that performance? If “Spider” can drag the champion back down into the depths and hold him there this time, might he emerge with the belt? Jesus Chico Grande is the standard by which all of CEC’s 145-pound fighters must be measured, and now Kasey Scorpion will attempt the test once more. CEC 661 will guarantee only two things. Blood and gold.
  2. CEC 660 Main Card Preview Claymore Elite Combat 660 - soon to be held in front of a roaring audience over 90,000 strong at the LA Memorial Colossuseum. For now, though, the lights are dim, the cage is empty, and instead of the roar of a crowd, there is the buzz of setup and activity. Some of the organization’s best fighters are already in the building, warming up, looking around, familiarizing themselves with the battleground. Tonight, here in Los Angeles, CEC presents a selection of our most exciting fights - each with a compelling story behind it. 265 lbs. - Koba Wyatt vs. Alexi "The Eastern Assassin" Laiho In the first of our five main card fights, former multi-time OFC champion Koba Wyatt makes his debut in CEC’s 265-pound division. His opponent - Alexi “The Eastern Assassin” Laiho. Wyatt’s 31 wins, all by way of KO, make him a terrifying challenge on the feet, especially for Laiho, who has been prone to being KO’ed in his CEC career (including twice by fellow main card fighter Johnny Drama). However, “The Eastern Assassin” presents a potent offensive on the ground as a BJJ black belt, as showcased in his Submission of the Night performance over Tel Britton. For a fighter who has never been submitted, could the smaller yet slippery Laiho prove to be Koba Wyatt’s most difficult test yet - or his easiest prey? 205 lbs. - Alex "Hungarian Sledgehammer" Asztalos vs. Sergey "Ioh" Beznisko For our next match, we move to the 205-pound division. Fresh off of a difficult TKO at the hands of current champion Solomon Kahn, perennial title challenger Sergey “Ioh” Beznisko looks to stay relevant at the top of his division as he welcomes “Hungarian Sledgehammer” Alex Asztalos to the cage for a second time. Asztalos will be looking to avenge his frustrating loss to Beznisko back at the very beginning of the “Hungarian Sledgehammer’s” CEC run, a fight that he was arguably winning on the feet before being caught clean and finished. Beznisko is no stranger to fast, accurate strikers, and showed in their first match that he can use his grappling advantage to move the fight to the mat if needed. Beznisko, though a decorated grappler, has no recorded submission wins on his record, and could be looking to change that now that he knows he can take his opponent down - Alex Asztalos will need to shore up defensively on the ground and on the feet if he wants to erase the past and look forward to his future at 205 pounds. 265 lbs. - Vandall Savage vs. Johnny "The Vicious White Kid" Drama Back at 265 pounds, top fighters Vandall Savage and Johnny “The Vicious White Kid” Drama are prepared to put it all on the line for their chance to stay in title contention. Johnny Drama is riding the momentum of a powerful KO of the Night performance over Alex Laiho. Vandall Savage recently suffered a crushing head kick KO to main event fighter Richard Kuklinsky. Drama wouldn’t mind a shot at avenging his loss to Kuklinsky either, but one fighter will have to yield on the path to the top. Will it be “The Vicious White Kid,” as Savage’s size and grappling advantages prove to be overwhelming for the smaller striker? Or will Vandall Savage find himself on the wrong end of Johnny Drama’s devastating Muay Thai and another KO of the Night? 170 lbs. title bout - "Super Fast" Desmond Glass vs. "Smokin" Pete Granger In our co-main event of the evening, the 170-pound belt is on the line as “Smokin” Pete Granger dares “Super Fast” Desmond Glass to take him on for the third time. After having won 2 decisions in their series, champion Pete Granger will be looking to put an emphatic end to this rivalry with a finish. Desmond Glass, while not nearly as prolific a finisher as the man he will be facing, is no stranger to the 170-pound title contention, having held the CEC belt himself in the past. Pete Granger comes back to defend his belt after challenging Synchronicity champion Benson Whyte in a hard-fought decision loss. Riding a four-fight win streak into his title shot, Desmond Glass has also been contending with a nagging injury leading up to this bout. As a fighter who relies on his elite physical attributes to outmaneuver and outstrike his opponents, will he be able to utilize his kickboxing advantage against “Smokin” Pete Granger as effectively as he needs to in order to recapture the belt? This title bout is guaranteed to be five rounds of hell from both fighters - can’t miss MMA! 265 lbs. - Brak "Souleater" Maugøn vs. "The Cuckold" Richard Kuklinsky And finally, our main event! In a rematch set to ignite the entire arena, world-level 265-pound fighters Brak “Souleater” Maugøn and “The Cuckold” Richard Kuklinsky will look to settle score, even with their eyes on a shot at the new CEC 265-pound champion, Brad Lansar. In their last battle, Maugøn knocked Kuklinsky out in the third round after a back-and-forth brawl. Following that fight, Maugøn would go on to capture the 265-pound belt and defend it once to cap a 7-fight win streak before dropping a decision to Alistair Spong - Maugøn’s first CEC loss. Though Kuklinsky was in the middle of skid himself at the time of his loss to “Souleater,” he rebounded with back-to-back KOs of Johnny Drama and Vandall Savage. Kuklinsky is massively popular and can only go up by avenging his defeat to Maugøn in the main event, but suffering a loss would make “The Cuckold” 4-4 in his last 8 - a difficult look even for fighters at the highest level. Tall, long, and wiry, Kuklinsky has the perfect frame for a heavyweight striker, but Brak Maugøn will have a slight technical advantage on the feet and little more weight to throw around. We are sure to witness some exchanges of the highest caliber, both in technicality and violence, as these two fighters go toe-to-toe in the CEC cage. A promotional debut, multiple rematches, top contenders and title challengers, and the most dynamic fighters in the organization. This is CEC 660.
  3. Hey all! My friend and I joined MMA Tycoon for a few weeks back in 2016, but we decided we didn't like the pace of the game (at least compared to being able to immediately play some fights on the couch in UFC 2). Now that we've moved to different cities, we've gotten into asynchronous gaming and circled back around to MMA Tycoon. My friend actually introduced me to the UFC while we were living together, my first fight was Diaz v McGregor 2. We've been watching and arguing about MMA ever since then. Happy to be back and getting into the swing of things here, thanks for having me.
