  1. This is quite simply a supply and demand problem. I undercut prices to drive sales as the increased number of 160 quality supps drastically increased supply. That means the two ways to bring prices back up are lowering supply and increasing demand. If you lower supply, demand goes up, but profits stay low because you reduce capacity to meet demand. Making supps expire will increase demand, and I support that change. Price floors just forces me to make even less money because I can't respond to market conditions. I'll be glued to the bottom of the floor, and will still lose sales. Longer shipping times will just cost me even more sales. Making lower level supps as effective as high level supps for lower level fighters just further will lower demand. So these changes are going to lower demand, not increase it, just making the problem worse.
  2. First off I want to say I support the ideas of new products. I would love to see a product that speeds up learning and/or slows ticker decay. But the real suggestion I have to contribute is automated sponsorships. Pretty much all the fighters 160! sponsors are alliance mates. Hype is useless to me, and I find trying to sponsor fighters both boring and I never really know how much money is fair. But at the same time I constantly have people PMing me asking for sponsorships, and I usually don't send them because they don't tell me how much money or supps they want or for how long. So while I don't really know what the going rates are, and these numbers may not be realistic, I would like to be able to set up in my store, say: 160! Sponsorships! Option 1: For fighters with hype > 160! $16000 for 30 days Option 2: For fighters with hype > 100 5000 for 30 days Option 3: For fighters with hype > 50 1200 + 2 supps for 28 days Option 4: For fighters with hype > 30 600 + 2 supps for 28 days I could see this working in a couple of ways. Either I set a monthly marketing budget in total and sponsorships shut down when cash is low, or I individually have so many of each "in stock" like 1 of option 1, 2 of option 2, 10 of option 3, 25 of option 4. Owner would set minimum hype to be available for the sponsorship, money, days, etc. Of course this still doesn't fix hype not meaning anything. I think that automatic sales based on sponsorships is a good idea. Maybe a modification to my suggestion could be that manually created sponsorships bring in more sales than automatic ones to provide an incentive for people to do it by hand, but no so much of an incentive that people can't make any money at all if using automation. I think those passive sales shouldn't happen automatically, but rather when the fighter is actually in a fight. I think that also means that if my suggestion were to be implemented, that it should be possible to only allow fighters signed to a fight in the time period the sponsorship covers to get a sponsorship, so it's sort of like you are sponsoring them for that fight. I also think it could make sense for fighters to not accept sponsorships below a certain amount of money that is determined by their hype+pop average.
  3. So I happened to catch this show about Hulk Hogan helping MCW, a midget wrestling promotion, and... http://i.imgur.com/1j5vR.jpg Blixxx? Is this you?
  4. I think game mechanics wise slowing tickers would make more sense than increasing triggers, but I'm not sure I really understand the changes enough yet to be sure that means what I think it does. As for plausible real life, if "supps" are basically the in game substitute for peds I do think that slowing down ability loss is a reported effect of steroid use along the same lines as reducing needed recovery time or increasing strength gains. So that shows a pretty clear mechanism it could be applied to Physicals. Maybe it doesn't apply as much to physicals or secondaries, but then again it isn't like someone forgets how to throw a punch. In the real world people go past their prime not because their technique itself gets sloppy but because the physical body itself begins to degrade. And that is countered in the real world with things like hormone replacement therapy. Most of all I think it's something people would use and it would be a big boost to the supp business. Especially as the value of recovery supps just went down as it's easier to get more training in with less rest sessions after the recent changes.
  5. With the new training changes, I think it would be great if Nutrition could get a new product that causes skills to degrade slower, or cause it to take longer for skills to begin to degrade. That's it really, a simple suggestion that I think would make a popular product that people would use, and it would give us Supp Companies something new to burn research & development money on.
  6. Am I understanding correctly that you have another $400k you're willing to put up against $600k?
  7. GSP is one of, if not the, greatest fighter of all time. So is Anderson. But styles make fights, and the Chael fight is good evidence that GSP is a bad stylistic matchup for Anderson. Would the weight difference be enough to make up for the style disadvantage? I don't think so. Voted GSP.
  8. In accordance with the rules, M. Bison is dead and has been sacked. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=5072 Street Fighter is dead, long live Mortal Kombat.
  9. Throwing "Reality Mountain" Yamashita Kazuma into the fray. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofileman....php?FID=109236
  10. I hereby put forward my fighter M. Bison to your tournament, to rep the superior fighting system, Street Fighter. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=5072 His primaries do not exceed 32 and I vow to cut him should he lose.
  11. 160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160! Hey guys, since the month is almost over, I thought I should take advantage of what little blixxx free time we have left (sponsored by 160!) to strike up a conversation about something I've been wondering about. Just which city is the best city in the game? It may have been a good enough question to be an end of year award category (btw, I greatley appreciate nominations and votes for Nutrition Company (160!) and New Manager of the Year) but since it's also such a great jumping off point for conversation, I thought it would fit well here in General Game Discussion. Which city is your favorite city? I of course think it's Rio since that's where my company, alliance, and fighters call home. There are lots of great gyms, the cheapest 160 supp in the game (160!), and one of the top Orgs in the world in RHOE. What do you think? Why? Please vote in my poll! If you like, post what your vote was and why you voted the way you do. 160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!160!
  12. Balco Boys is so clueless they think that all three companies that have a 160q supplement are lying. Of course, all three are real, and mine is cheapest. 160!
  13. You realize "Jungle Monkey" is a racial slur, right?
  14. I nominate NONE OF THE ABOVE. Again. Since, unlike blixxx's posts, my serious nomination was deleted. Edit: Not deleted, moved to the the Bye blixxx, Buy 160! thread, which is still not the proper place for a serious nomination such as mine.
