Bleakardor
Hello fight fans! HFC is on the rise with our divisions filling up quickly... except our super heavyweight division... Soooo..... We will be hosting a MMA 265+ creation tournament that will start on Feb 15th. All fighters must weight at least 265lbs and be 18 years of age. All fighters will receive a contract for 4 fights with a 5k bonus for training so (5k/1k/1k) x 4. There are 8 spots available, will go up to 16 if there's enough interest. Standard MMA/Cage/10pt system with 3/5 rounds. Rounds will be held 21 days apart and 28 days between semi-final and final round. Fighter creation date will be Feb. 1st (or after) with first fight on the March 1st. The winner of the tournament will become #1 contender and receive a 5k bonus, title shot in next bout, and manger will earn 5k as well. Each fighter who participates will be offered a contract extension, win or lose, for 1k/2.5k/2.5k for an additional 4 fights. Last 4 fighters remaining in the tournament will be instead offered a contract extension of 2k/3k/3k for 4 fights. You are not obligated to accept. Lets see some big boys rumble!! I look forward to seeing some new faces checking out the HFC and hope this is a fun event for you all. JakeF
Just a suggestion, you should do it 18yo only if it is a creation tournament. Also 7 days between rounds is weird when max injuries can be 15 days. Most 18yo creation tournaments offer like 4-5 weeks between fights so the fighters could train.

Bleakardor
If this ends up being an 8 fighter tournament, the tournament will be double elimination. If 16, single elimination. 1
Bleakardor
Something I didn't discuss... I am shooting for Feb. 1st being the creation day (or any day after) so that fighters have 2 weeks to train before the first round. 1

Alfred
I'll have a guy for you for sure if there's still space? Also, whilst everyone loves training time, the longer the tournament goes the more chance you have of people dropping out. Most managers will dump their guy at the first loss anyway so just do what you feel is best (apart from fighting injured. Ruins the tournament)

We will see how it goes, and what the interest of the managers signing up dictates.

zackmartin11
Not telling you how to run your business, but I think it would be better if you did this for 135/145, IMO the 265+ division is one of the easier divisions to build while the two lower ones are super hard to build 1

Bleakardor
And whoever is just going and giving all of my posts a negative mark can kiss my ass. If you have a reason, go ahead and say it, otherwise, you're just a punk. My guess is you're someone else running a fight org and don't like competition. If that's the case, you're playing the wrong game.

Bleakardor
I need 5 more fighters by the 1st to sign up or I may put this project on hold and clear out that division for an open-weight unrestricted division.
BobbMogg
Hi I've actually created a Big Guy last night, he's 18 and 265+ would he be eligible, details posted below. "Count" Max Drax (358451)
Bleakardor
We only have 4 of 8 entries. With today being the deadline and tomorrow being the "creation date" I am going to cancel this event and focus on using the 265+ division for an unrestricted tournament division.
