Fighter Popularity Improvements:

- Thanking your sponsors post-fight should give your fighter some popularity or extra income.

- swap tycoon times hype bonus for popularity bonus

will update later with further improvements or links to old threads on the subject

"Thank fans" already boosts fighter pop so I don't think there needs to be something else that does that (not sure it would make sense logically anyway).

Maybe extra money but that should come from the company you thank, not the game. And I imagine companies would want to have some control over that.

Point is not to punish the fighters that thank their sponsors. Maybe not give them the full amount of pop boost from thanking fans directly, but something small would be better than nothing.

8-2-2 with 3 consecutive finishes and no fans because he thanks his sponsors at the end of the fight instead of telling fans to follow him on twitter.

Thanking a sponsor should give the company a tiny amount of hype. Then I think it should be up the company to compensate the fighter.

Don't get a message when people thank the company, but agree with you. Not 100% sure what it does for the company though. Is it even worth thanking them outside the cool flavor text at the end?

An out of breath and clearly excited Lorenzo Benedetti thanked © Trap House for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).

Lorenzo Benedetti very nearly forgot to thank Sportivité amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.

I think it only helps if the company sponsors the event, then it will generate more sales.

Just not sure why thanking a sponsor would make you more popular with fans.

I remember at one point there was a company (or maybe org + company combo) that sent around a mailer saying they would pay a certain amount in bonus if you thanked XXX company at XXX event, just pm the owner with the fight link etc etc. The point is, it takes a degree of coordination but maybe that's the way it should be, logically.

I may suggest at our next board meeting to test this out at SFL.

Atm it seems like it hampers your fighter (or the org) by selecting anything other than hype yourself / thank fans (boost hype or boost pop) because the other options don't move the needle.

If thanking sponsors is for cash incentives

than instead of forcing people to micromanage further, should just give them an auto cash payment of X amount. Just cap it $1000. Nothing substantial, can't really abuse it but better than nothing, and better than forcing me into an extra 5-7 clicks. Sending sponsors is already tedious enough.

Still more beneficial to go for the hype or pop boost.

What is the difference between hype and popularity??

I was doing it before but in the end managers forget to let you know (or get sick of it) and when you sponsor 300-500 fighters theres no way am I going through that many fights to see who made a shout out. Auto notification or auto payment option would be great. Also a great way to get money to active newer managers that are struggling for cash.
