Calling all competitive tycoon managers.

Looking for something different? Something fun and a unique opportunity to create a bad-ass fighter? You’re reading the right post.

The Global Association of Muay Thai (GAMT) proudly brings the Tycoon universe a new unique brand to the game, offering a new type of competition and an exciting opportunity to both veteran and new managers alike. We introduce to you, GAMT: Young Lions.

Young Lions is a new organization based in Las Vegas that will offer a tournament based system regularly to all interested parties. This tournament will feature a unique point’s based system, regular fights and exciting matchups. I know you’re already frothing at the mouth to know more, so let’s get into it.

Tournament overview: Tournaments will be held in specific divisions at regular intervals on a Swiss Tournament like structure, featuring fights every two weeks, and match-ups based on the fighters score throughout the tournament. Fighters will not be matched more than once during the tournament rounds and no one will be eliminated until the final round, with each fight running on striking rules only. At the conclusion of the tournament rounds a KO stage will be held to determine an official winner, the fighter placing first will be offered a 100k contract, with second scoring a 50k contract and third, snatching a cool 30k contract with the number one Muay Thai company in the game, GAMT.

Tournament Rules

Conditions of entry: Fighters entering the tournament must meet the ID restriction, and be prepared to fight through all tournament rounds, win or lose. Fighters must be 18 years old or younger, and be prepared to fight every two weeks until the conclusion of the tournament. Tournaments may run simultaneously, fighting biweekly, giving managers an opportunity to have a fighter in each tournament running at the same time.

Tournament Structure: Based on the Swiss system, fighters will receive points for each fight (See further down for scoring) and be matched each round with fighters of the same, or similar score but not fighting the same fighter twice. This process will repeat until the last tournament round, where the final 6 highest scoring fighters will proceed to the KO rounds. There will be 7 to 9 tournament rounds, followed by three KO rounds to determine the tournament winner (number of rounds will depend on the number of entrants).

Fight Rules: Muay Thai rules apply to each bout, featuring five three minute rounds.

Match-ups: In the first round all match-ups will be made completely at random. All participants then proceed to the next round in which winners are pitted against winners, losers are pitted against losers, and so on. In subsequent rounds, each competitor faces an opponent with the same, or almost the same, cumulative point score. No player is paired up with the same opponent twice. During all but the first round, competitors are paired based on approximately how well (or poorly) they have performed so far.

Scoring: Each fighter is awarded points on how they perform, this structure is detailed below.

Win: 3 Points

Lose: 1 Point

Draw: 2 Points

Bye: 2 Points

Refused fight: Minus 2 Points (Opponent would receive a Bye)

Byes: Each tournament will endeavor to start with an equal amount of entrants. Byes will be awarded if your opponent refuses to fight, drops out or becomes inactive, or either fighter is too injured or cut to fight (Note that the two week turn around between fights should be enough for most to recover from the previous round.)

KO Round: At the conclusion of the tournament rounds the final 6 fighters will compete in a round robin KO stage. 1st will face 6th, 2nd to face 5th, so on and so forth. The winner will be crowned tournament champion, second and third will be determined by the highest points (excluding the KO round winner.) This is the only stage of the tournament where you MAY face an opponent you have already fought once, the perfect place for redemption.

Further Details

Updates: Scoring will be posted to all competitors after each tournament event.

Contracts: Fighters will be offered contracts to cover all of the tournament rounds and KO rounds, at 3000 Sign / 3000 Fight / 2000 win. Given each fighter will fight every two weeks, this contract will be plenty of financial support to cover all training needs, and more.

First Tournament: Registration is now CLOSED, the tournament is underway.

Second Tournament: Recruitment is now open for the GAMT: Young Lions first tournament, the tournament will have a 310k ID restriction and will be held at 205 pounds. Any fighter below this weight is eligible to enter. If you’re interested in this fun opportunity to create a kickboxing legend, please contact the staff at Young Lions. This tournament will run biweekly to the 170 pound tournament.

Losing Fighters: If you’re fighter doesn’t win the tournament, or do quite well, all may not be lost. GAMT: Young Lions will also feature a few select ID restricted divisions offering regular fights, therefore your fighter may be offered a contract to stay if you wish.

Get in quick and register your interest, and fighter. Once the tournament is full, a second tournament may commence recruitment to run biweekly, though this is not guaranteed, so get your fighter in quickly.

Only 7 spots remain in our 170 lb tournament. So get in quick. Once the tournament has kicked off we will start recruiting for a 205 lb tournament. I suggest creating a 205 fighter asap if you want in as I have a lot of managers just waiting for me to open registrations.

nothing to rush mate,i can join any division ,just need to wait 5 days

All participants of the 205 pound tournament should now note that we are progressing to booking the first event, and getting this event underway.

Currently, we have 12 fighters registered. The first round will kick off on the 15/04/2017, which will allow our young fighters to develop their physicals and skills before taking to the ring. Registrations will officially close on the 02/04/2017, until then any interested manager can submit a fighter. As per the tournament rules each fighter will fight every two weeks for the full 9 rounds, then those top placed fighters will progress to the KO stage for 3 rounds to determine the winner.

Some fights have already been offered, please note that 4 fighters have not had their fights arranged as yet, this is due to two of the 205 fighters having a warm up fight on the 01/04/2017, the final fights will be offered following this event. If you have one of these fighters, I will message you later in the month if your inactivity clause will tick over.

Kick your training into high gear, the extra time training will allow all fighters to be more ready for the tournament, and make for some awesome young lions brawls. Good luck everyone, stay tuned for further updates.

Howdy ya'll!

I must admit, the 170 tournament is my favorite to update, the action is great, with several come backs and surprising wins. I can't ask for much more.

Here is the tournament standings:

Dariusz Hitman (310547) 12

Kaine Krause (311781) 10

Mike Tyson (311681) 10

Sergey Geng (311527) 10

Tommy King (311800) 10

Deno Ripper (310263) 8

Brandon Baldwin (310994) 8

Li Zhou (310019) 8

Taine Raharuhi (310853) 8

Yoda Fairtex (311837) 7

Nils Amainognieson (311795) 7

Evista Fareston (310209) 7

Harut Hakobyan (311224) 6

Kazakh Attack (311801) 4

The Hitman sits at the top of the table, the only fighter left unbeaten. Can anyone beat him? Most will get a shot at it so hit the training hard.

ROUND 5

Fighter offers have been sent out as per normal, two weeks till the next round. Get training.

Good luck team.

Greets!

Ok so first things first, I apologize for the delay in this update, however I was waiting two fighters to accept their fights offers. As of this moment, they have still not logged in. As a result, I changed the matchup so that those two fighters face each other so no one else is held up.

These fighters have until the next round to log in and accept, or they will be dropped from the competition.

After round one, here is where we stand.

Corey "The Heathens" McGregor (312123) 3

Rect Umm (311784) 3

Bobby "F T W" Bones (311444) 3

Kyle "What-cha" Eaton (312418) 3

Johnson "The Biggest" Cock (311613) 3

Rodel Khalifa (311984) 3

Papito Anastasio (311503) 3

Derek "The Glory" Craven (311649) 1

Erick Dominador (310272) 1

Yoel "Third Round " Romero (312240) 1

Ian "Bam Bam" Barns (312489) 1

Ronan Qadri (311772) 1

Dre "Battlezone" Deathrow (310718) 1

Hondo Attah (312057) 1

And there we have it. Next round is coming up next weekend. Let's get it on!

Greets!

Some great 205 fights. Couple of guys pulling to the front, but, it's early days anything can happen. Update:

Papito Anastasio (311503) 6

Bobby "F T W" Bones (311444) 6

Corey "The Heathens" McGregor (312123) 6

Rect Umm (311784) 4

Dre "Battlezone" Deathrow (310718) 4

Hondo Attah (312057) 4

Kyle "What-cha" Eaton (312418) 4

Johnson "The Biggest" Cock (311613) 4

*Rodel Khalifa (311984) 3

Ian "Bam Bam" Barns (312489) 2

Ronan Qadri (311772) 2

*Derek "The Glory" Craven (311649) 1

*Erick Dominador (310272) 1

*Yoel "Third Round " Romero (312240) 1

The " * " means that fighter has been dropped from the tournament. Unfortunately we have lost a few more than I expected too in this tournament. Like we did in the 170, I expected a couple, but not this many. As a result of this, the tournament may be shortened slightly to accommodate this, thought the next couple of weeks will tell me that for sure. I'll keep you updated.

As always, offers for round 3 have been sent.

Good luck.

Hey guys!

Good weekend action, and, after a few rounds we are down to two unbeaten fighters who will face off in the next round. Exciting battle. I have a fair bit to announce with this update, so let’s get the standings out of the way:

Corey "The Heathens" McGregor (312123) – 9

Bobby "F T W" Bones (311444) - 9

Rect Umm (311784) - 7

Hondo Attah (312057) – 7

Papito Anastasio (311503) - 7

Kyle "What-cha" Eaton (312418) - 5

Johnson "The Biggest" Cock (311613) - 5

Ian "Bam Bam" Barns (312489) – 5

Announcement

Ok, so, this tournament hasn’t exactly gone to plan like the 170 has. We have now lost half of the entrants we had when we started. With Andy’s fighter not being picked up in free agency, Dre Deathrow has been dropped. In order to even the roster so there is now bye rounds, Ronan Qadri was also dropped, having not won a fight.

This now leaves us with 8 fighters. Originally, we were to do 9 rounds, then go into a 3 round sudden death, obviously with less fighters now I think we should shorten that. We are currently headed into round 4, I now propose that we shorten the process to 6 tournament rounds. At the end of those rounds, we will have a finals event, where first will face second, third will face fourth, and so on, to determine the official winners.

Prizes

The prizes will remain the same, the money payouts will not change. However. With such a short amount of rounds, these fighters will not be ready to be promoted to GAMT. It would make no sense to promote them and have them fight in an unrestricted org where to competition will be to tough for them to develop properly.

So instead, after the final event, the 205 pound division will be officially opened, and the tournament winner will receive his prize and become the new Young Lions 205 Champion. The winner of the runner up fight, will become the first number one contender to dispute that title.

Tournament

We will likely run another tournament after the conclusion of this one. Though we might focus on the 170 for a little while first. We are leaning toward having a tournament at 145, or 265. I think either one would be a lot of fun.

If anyone has any concerns regarding these changes. Please contact myself, or Runt, and we will address them individually.

Thank you all for your participation, I look forward to seeing the final result.

Runt.

Only a few rounds left till the finals!

Update:

Dariusz Hitman (310547) 18
Brandon Baldwin (310994) 14
Kaine Krause (311781) 14
Tommy King (311800) 14
Sergey Geng (311527) 14
Li Zhou (310019) 13
Taine Raharuhi (310853) 13
Mike Tyson (311681) 12
Yoda Fairtex (311837) 12
Deno Ripper (310263) 11
Evista Fareston (310209) 11
Nils Amainognieson (311795) 11

DROPPED

Harut Hakobyan (311224) 8
Kazakh Attack (311801) 6

Dropped fighters:

Everyone give a big thank you to Harut and Kazakh. They have stuck it out, despite not getting the strongest fighters of the bunch. You guys are more than welcome in future tournaments, all I can hope is you had fun and learned something for next time. If you would like to keep your fighters you are more than welcome to keep them here as part of our new 170 division which will open at the conclusion of this tournament, or, you can step up to 185 or down to 155 and see if they go better there. Just let me know.

Tournament Prizes

I'd like feedback from you guys on what you'd like at the end of this tournament. I am thinking of doing the same as I have done with the 205 guys, and that is keeping the winners here as promoting them to GAMT where they will be very out skilled makes little sense to me. All other prize conditions would remain the same. Thoughts?

Until next round, train em hard. And for gods sake some knock hitman out! :P

Well well well.

McGregor finally got derailed. I was starting to think he was a front runner to win this comp. But Bobby Bones came in to snatch the win, great fight.

Here is the standings:

Bobby "F T W" Bones (311444) 12
Corey "The Heathens" McGregor (312123) 10
Rect Umm (311784) 10
Hondo Attah (312057) 8
Johnson "The Biggest" Cock (311613) 8
Ian "Bam Bam" Barns (312489) 8
Papito Anastasio (311503) 8
Kyle "What-cha" Eaton (312418) 6

Heading into round 5, with one round to go after that then the finals, it's still anyones game. If the guys at the top choke the four fighters tied on 8 points could still make a run for the belt. It will be exciting to see who prevails.

Fights for next round booked! Not long to go now!

Ok! Onto round 8, which will be the last round. After that we will go into an elimination style, until we have a winner! Hitman is by far the fav to take the belt out, but, Krause gave him a tough fight when they met and it looks like he may be the contender! Anything can happen though, look at your game plans carefully, every win is going to count this final round.

Standings:

Dariusz Hitman (310547) 21
Kaine Krause (311781) 17
Taine Raharuhi (310853) 16
Brandon Baldwin (310994) 15
Mike Tyson (311681) 15
Sergey Geng (311527) 15
Tommy King (311800) 15
Evista Fareston (310209) 14
Li Zhou (310019) 14
Nils Amainognieson (311795) 14
Yoda Fairtex (311837) 13
Deno Ripper (310263) 12

Fight offers are out. Lets do this!

Well well well.

Hitman can be beaten. And by the boss no less!

It took until the last round for Hitman to be beaten, a very solid run, though he still sits at the top of the table.

So it;s elimination finals time! The top 8 will move on to the elimination finals. Looks like Hitman may have some competition after all! Remember, it's round robin now. You lose, you're out. So anyone could still win this. Runner up gets first crack at the belt after the tournament is over!

Top 8

Dariusz Hitman (310547) 22
Kaine Krause (311781) 19
Taine Raharuhi (310853) 19
Brandon Baldwin (310994) 18
Sergey Geng (311527) 18
Evista Fareston (310209) 17
Mike Tyson (311681) 17
Tommy King (311800) 16

Eliminated

Deno Ripper (310263) 15
Li Zhou (310019) 15
Nils Amainognieson (311795) 15
Yoda Fairtex (311837) 14

The eliminated fighters are welcomed to stay on and fight in the 170 division. If not, I understand, go ahead and release them. Hopefully a few stick around and make the new 170 division worth taking about.

Fight offers are being sent. 1st faces 8th, 2nd faces 7th etc etc. Until we have a winner.

Not long now!
