ATTENTION: Latrobe Arundel

Recommended Posts

*A flickering, grainy image of a run-down apartment appears on your screen. Chris Karter and Mañuel Tosen can be seen sitting on a black leather couch in the middle of the room. In the background, a bare-chested Pekka Toivonen is tinkering with a radiator*

Tosen: Dear Tycoon world, we have an imposter among us. His name is Latrobe Arundel, and he claims to be the best fighter on the planet. Not surprisingly, he has managed to trick the idiots, lard-asses and journalism school drop-outs who are in charge of the official rankings as well.

Sure, he has won a lot of fights. Sure, he has a staggering KO rate. On paper, he seems like the real deal. Once you start looking into it, however, something doesn't add up.

I was surprised to see that he's supposed to destroy some unskilled, mediocre cupcake later today. Realistically, the guy doesn't stand a chance. I just figured out Inferno had run out of contenders, being a second-rate organization and all. Hey, no shame in that.

The problem is that his entire resume is filled with similarly pathetic tomato cans. His last 3 opponents have 27 (T)KO losses between them. His best wins are either a 40 year old man or Camara's pomeranian. How in the world has the so-called best fighter in the world fought competition like THAT?

Karter: His manager is "Vice President of Matchmaking and Janitorial Services" at Inferno.

Tosen: Right. Exactly.

So, that brings us to my proposal. Everyone knows that Pekka Toivonen is an unskilled, lumbering oaf. He's also old and riddled with injuries. Even so, I still think he would smack the taste out of Arundel's mouth. I don't expect Arundel to take this fight. Pekka won't fall over and die like the clowns he's been fighting. Nor will he faint at the sight of his own blood.

You and your camp are free to keep beating the no-hopers and scrubs your manager keeps lining up for you for as long as you want, but if you want REAL glory, you know where to find me.

Middelweight is one of the deepest divisions at the moment, the top 10 looks spectactular, with a nice mix of youngster and veterans.

I personally would love to see Arundel vs Bolleke happen if they both win their next fight. Feels like a fight that should already have happened at this point.

Latrobe Arundel http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/United_States_of_America.png (managed by Action Jackson)

Thomas Bolleke http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/Belgium.png

Junkyard Dog http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/United_States_of_America.png

George Salvador http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/England.png

Pekka Toivonen http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/Finland.png

Arron Asham http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/Canada.png

Edison Atunes http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/Brazil.png

Anthony Falcone http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/United_States_of_America.png (managed by Action Jackson)

Chris Steve http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/Brazil.png

Matteo Boretti http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/Italy.png

Toivonen might be too big of a step up in competition for Arundel. This is the same Arundel that I tapped out in the first round with a sparbot, right? 1-0 vs this guy and he's crushed nothing but bums ever since.

I respect Action Jackson and Arundel is a text-based beast, but he's crushed a lot of canned tuna. I'd like to see him go toe-to-toe with a fellow striker that doesn't get KO'd as frequently as Donald Cerrone and Chuck Liddell. I think Pekka rearranges his mug.

Will be happening if both win their fights. Depending on who wins and what happens from then on, i would say the winner has a serious debate for fighter of the year so far.

Right up to the point where the Punchmaster decapitates the winner.

Punchmaster is 3-3 in his last 6 and one of those losses was against Bolleke and the other against Junkyard (who is also above him in the rankings). He just got a great win against a top level MW, but i am not sure he is automatically getting the winner. Anyway, lets see if both Bolleke and Arundel actually win their next fights.

3-3 in his last 6... but 5-3 in his last 8... 9-4 in his last 13... and 28-8 overall. At least 5 wins vs fighters that were #1 P4P.
If we were to trail him a little deeper into his EMPIRE days, he's got 3 KO wins vs Luc Gagnon (#1 P4P) and his manager Alex K (#1) . He has a win and a loss to Tank Ispa. Jean-Claude Marcaeu is managed by Billy Arseworth (#1) and got to as high as #36 P4P. But we'll stick to last 8 opponents.
Last 8 opponents:
#1 P4P Chris Steve (45 fights, 38 wins, 7 losses, 4 TKO loss)
Ibby Camara (#1)
#15 P4P Junkyard Dog (57 fights, 36 wins, 21 losses, 8 TKO loss)
Taina Valkoinen (#18)
#17 P4P Khunbish Borjigin (37 fights, 27 wins, 10 losses, 3 TKO loss)
Marky Mark (#1)
#60 P4P Sergei Martynov (25 fights, 19 wins, 6 losses, 3 TKO loss)
Anti Kristus (#1)
#6 P4P Tank Ispa (35 fights, 23 wins, 10 losses, 7 TKO loss)
Ispa Murhapuro (#1)
#2 P4P Thomas Bolleke (25 fights, 21 wins, 4 losses, 1 TKO loss)
Alika Webb (#11)
#25 P4P Avrom Asham (21 fights, 16 wins, 4 losses, 2 TKO loss)
John Coffey (#1)
#1 P4P Russell Tyrone Jones (55 fights, 39 wins, 15 losses, 4 TKO loss)
Lucky Lefty (#4)
Last 8 opponents:
#30 P4P Matteo Boretti (30 fights, 21 wins, 9 losses, 5 TKO loss)
Stef Power (#6)
#12 P4P Arhan Bhullar (47 fights, 31 wins, 15 losses, 13 TKO loss)
Billy Arseworth (#1)
#16 P4P George Salvador (39 fights, 27 wins, 12 losses, 8 TKO loss)
Stef Power (#6)
#2 P4P Akeen Coker (26 fights, 16 wins, 8 losses, 6 TKO loss)
Louie DePalma (#3)
#1 P4P Chris Steve (45 fights, 38 wins, 7 losses, 4 TKO loss)
Ibby Camara (#1)
#1 P4P Akoni Gray (50 fights, 43 wins, 6 losses, 2 TKO loss)
Billy Arseworth (#1)
#15 P4P Antonio DeSilva (27 fights, 20 wins, 7 losses, 0 KO loss)
Bradley Burns (#1)
#336 P4P John Lawrence (21 fights, 14 wins, 7 losses, 4 TKO loss)
The Rooster (#55)
Pekka's last 8 opponents have combined 32 TKO losses. Arundel's last 4 opponents have 32 TKO losses... if we extend to last 8 fights 42 TKO losses. Arundel went beast mode in the tournament and came out #1 P4P, he still had training wheels on when Pekka was fighting top ranked fighters in top 5 org in the game. Time to take the training wheels off.
Mentor feel free to tally up Bolleske's career since joining GAMMA. Not a lot of people match up to Pekka. I do agree if Bolleke win's next fight, him vs Arundel is a good match but if Pekka goes and takes his title back from Junkyard Dog, the winner of Bolleke/Arundel needs to fight the Punchmaster.

I know Mentor had already listed me as one of the greatest in his GAMMA exercise he did recently (active greats vs non active woteva)..

But every time I look at this it continues to impress me :)

You guys better talk, calculate fast because The Revenant fights Asham in 12 days and Chris Steve is always 1 fight away

Wait what? That clown with the blue paint on his face wants to fight me? I just hope my foot doesn't get stuck when I plant it on his face. Is he an artist, house painter or a clown in the circus I can't tell. "Clownmaster General" more like it. The only crime that guy has been "Convicted" of is mediocrity.

Can we stick to the subject please ? This is a thread discussing the possibility of a future superfight between Pekka and Arundel. Anything else is off topic .

I strongly believe that Pekka should fight Dog first . He s got unfinished business with his arch rival at Syn.

If he wins and both managers agree upon this , we can arrange a superfight . I am positive on that and i am sure that Jordan will give the green light too.

Yeah, I was definitely shocked by his performance in his last fight.

No worries, I'm taking Old Yeller to the nice farm upstate next.

That`s a great fight, Pekka is free, Arundel is free.

Pekka manager challenged, Arundel manager accepted.

I honestly don`t see the issue, this is the fight the fans want to see. It`s also the fight that makes sense, Pekka`s last fight at SYN was a L , his W was from our Super Fight. Even matchmakingwise it makes no sense, seems like Chikatsawan is getting screwed out of his title shot.

But if Bolleke wins, and that super fight was already promised to Mentor then that takes precedent of course. But I still think Chikatsawan should get his shot as he is coming off back-to-back wins, is past his prime and has been a true company man to Syn.

Bjorn maybe take a break from farming Spin & Win credits and focus a bit on TUF season 2?

Dilloo already told you and Whatshisface what you need to do. You guys begged to coach, now it`s time to get it done.

If you cannot do it simply let us know and we can find people that move the needle and actually fight instead of promoting 0-0 fighters and are 0-2 in June with 2 fights LOLOLOL

Thanks !

Your opinion has been taken into account and stored in my laptop's hard drive .

As i said earlier , Pekka will fight Junkyard Dog for the belt . The only way for that to change is at Jackson's and Mannetosen's request.

Now , regarding Chikatwan he will get his title shot in time . I dont give you a title shot after beating a couple of low to mid table guys. It makes absolutely no sense.

Last but not least , i would advise you to focus on your own org. That switch to 330K is going to demand a lot of hard work from your part.

Speaking of which, Yago Steve is nearing the end of inactivity clause with no fight offer on the table. Will soon be looking for a new contract.
