http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20150113202340ep.png(Lightweight Division, Championship bout) Jeffrey Miller© (10-5-1) versus Marvin Zerkle (6-3)

(Preview) Jeffrey Miller, also known as “Satsujinsha”, started his career in Tokyo, Japan, fighting for the Unleash Fighting Championship. While there, fans got acquainted with his aggressive Muay Thai style. Despite starting out as a welterweight, he would slowly shrink in size until he was fighting at 145 lbs. With a record of 4-2, Miller would challenge Ferdinand Cortes for the featherweight championship in a fight that would become a grueling five round slugfest. After the judges ruled it a draw, the two would rematch nearly a month later with Cortes hurting Miller early and forcing the stoppage. Following this loss, Jeffrey Miller signed to fight for Destiny FC, going 2-2 with the promotion. Jeffrey Miller would then part ways with his management team. Under new management, Jeffrey Miller signed to fight for Epicity Productions, and has won all three of his fights via knockout. In his most recent fight, Jeffrey Miller took home the EP Lightweight Championship with a second round knockout of Julius Octavius in a fight where he would hurt Octavius three times before knocking him out.

Marvin Zerkle is a former Greco Roman Wrestler from Hawaii that started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after high shool. He signed to fight for the local MMA show, Hilo Fight League, where he faced fellow purple belt Braydon Reese. At the end of the second round, Reese had taken his back on the ground, and was attempting to lock in a choke; Zerkle thought that he was safe with less than ten seconds to go in the round, so he let down his guard. That error in judgment would cost him the fight as Reese forced the tap with just four seconds left in the round. Not one to be deterred, Marvin Zerkle continued training his Jiu-Jitsu and signed up to fight at the next available show. He would ultimately win five consecutive fights in Hilo before taking a tremendous step up in competition, dropping two fights to the elite of his division. Following that second defeat, Zerkle opted not to sign his contract extension, and instead moved to Las Vegas to compete with Epicity Productions. In his EP debut, Zerkle outed the “Gorgeous” Paul George, a fellow Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, for George's retirement fight.

(Welterweight Division) Derek The Brave (5-1) versus Jacek Moczymorda (9-3-1)

(Preview) Derek The Brave, also known affectionately as “The Dream Killer” (probably a nickname that his parents gave him as a child), is a very high level amateur wrestler that also competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He started his fighting career in the Troid Fighting league, in London, England. Derek would fight twice for the promotion before moving to Amsterdam. He would then fight for the FORBIDDEN VIOLENCE company, earning three consecutive knockouts. At that point, he moved to the Las Vegas, Nevada to fight for Epicity Productions. With a professional record of five brutal knockouts and no defeats to his name, Derek The Brave would take on the family friendly Wrestlefuck Wrestling for the EP welterweight championship of the world. True to his word, Wrestlefuck wrestlefucked him for the early goings of the fight, but he easily out struck him on the feet as well. Derek's manager, Will Stourt, was not one to stomach a single setback... so he released Derek The Brave, who found himself fighting for new management very quickly. This will be Derek's first fight back under new management.

Jacek Moczymorda is a two-time world title challenger and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. He started his career at welterweight, fighting for the For Young Fighters league in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Despite winning his professional debut via second round submission, Moczymorda would leave the company to fight for the Last Man Standing promotion in New York. He would win four consecutive fights via first round submission before being offered to face Jerry Seinfeld (no relation) for the LMS middleweight championship. He would lose a hard unanimous decision after Seinfeld (no relation) manage to hurt him badly in the third round. Moczymorda rebounded by submitting two tough opponents, each within the first round, and would rematch Seinfeld shortly thereafter. This fight was much closer than the first, with Moczymorda dominating the second round following a takedown, and avoiding getting into any real trouble in the standup. Despite his improvements, Mozymorda lost the decision, and flopped any future fights between himself and Seinfeld (no relation). After making quick work of his next opponent, Jacek Moczymorda would suffer the only stoppage defeat of his career when he faced Faceless Man. Faceless was a very high level Muay Thai striker who remains undefeated to this day. Moczymorda would move from New York to Las Vegas, the fight capital of the world, to face Adam Rabago at welterweight. After struggling to take his opponent down in the first round, Moczymorda would slowly take over the fight as the time dragged on. The judges declared the fight a draw. In his most recent performance, Jacek Moczymorda submitted Andy Barclay halfway through the second round.

[MAIN CARD]

(Heavyweight Division) Buster Quinn (7-1) versus Bernard Bear (4-3)

(Preview) Buster “Harley” Quinn started his professional fighting career, as most fighters did, in his local QFC show. Following a dominant performance there, he made an appearance with the one-and-done Relativity fight organization, stopping his opponent in the first round. He followed this up with a first round knockout in his only fight with the East Coast Fighting League. With three wins and no losses on his record, Quinn signed to fight for Warzone MMA, winning three consecutive fights, and recording his first submission victory as well. After a quick change of management, he signed with Epicity Productions, knocking out Johnny Yager at the New Year's Massacre. Despite his heavy success, Buster Quinn once again changed management and signed up for the biggest fight of his life: he was to take on Sean Watson for the inaugural EP Heavyweight Championship. Despite holding his own in the first round, Watson quickly overpowered him with ground and pound, forcing the referee stoppage.

Like Quinn's nemesis, Sean Watson, Bernard Bear is a former collegiate wrestler. He made his MMA debut in the Cobra Fighting Championship, falling prey to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt Tae Jin Kang in under a minute. This defeat prompted Bear to begin training almost exclusively in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He quickly earned his blue belt and defeated two opponents via judge's decision in the Relativity promotion. Shortly after earning his purple belt, Bear faced Robbie Luatua for the Relativity Heavyweight Championship, knocking him out with brutal ground and pound late in the opening round. To further improve himself, Bernard Bear began training boxing as well in an attempt to become a complete mixed martial artist. Bear successfully defended his championship against Sarkis Zakoyan; he hurt Zakoyan bad early on and finished him with a triangle choke in the final round. For Bernard Bear's final fight with Relativity, he attempted to defend his championship against the heavy handed brawler Rasputin Erasmus. After struggling to get Erasmus to the ground, bear ducked into an uppercut while going for a takedown. Erasmus follwoed it up with a left hook that knocked Bear unconscious. Bernard Bear signed with Epicity Productions following this fight, being knocked out for a second consecutive time by former Evil Empire: Amsterdam heavyweight champion Gusttavo Lima.

(Lightweight Division) Boreste Bardanos (3-0) versus Zlatko Zahovic (8-2)

(Preview) Boreste Bardanos, the man with one of the scariest fight avatars I have ever seen on here, is an undefeated project fighter (fighter from the projects?). He took his test fight in 2014, submitting his hapless opponent in a local QFC show. One month later, Bardanos again tested himself in the QFC arena, smashing his opponent via first round TKO. Since that performance, Boreste Bardanos has earned himself a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Red Belt and he has signed to fight for Epicity Productions. In his EP debut, Bardanos smashed Homero Lopez, a brown belt with fourteen professional fights to his record.

Zlatko Zahovic will have the unenviable task of facing Bardanos next. Zahovic, like his opponent, started his career with a QFC match, submitting his opponent inside the first round. Zahovic unironically arose from this fight and signed to fight for the now defunct RISE MMA promotion. After stopping two opponents with RISE, Zahovic would sign to fight for Warzone MMA, submitting Lee Wyll in the first round. Zlatko Zahovic first received the bitter taste of defeat when he faced Jacob Koch, a multi-talented brown belt with nearly elite striking skills. Koch was known as a finisher, winning seven of his eleven fights via knockout, with all but one of those stoppages coming within the first round. Zahovic would manage to take Koch down several times during their fight, but struggled to control him on the ground. Zahovic absorbed shots from Koch that had felled lesser men. Despite these feats, Zahovic would lose via unanimous decision. Zahovic rebounded with a pair of dominant victories before losing against an even tougher opponent in John Floyd. Zahovic would dominate Floyd for the entirety of the second round before getting badly hurt by the striker on the feet. Zahovic would come back to dominate the final round, but lose the fight via majority decision. Zahovic would fight once more for Warzone, defeating Jeff Zumo via TKO, before signing with Epicity Productions; his debut opponent was Brogan Kearney, a talented striker with an impressive wrestling background. Zahovic would knock him out late in the final round. Zlatko Zahovic is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt so it will be interesting to see how he handles against Bardanos on the ground.

(Heavyweight Division) Ren Naga-Wing (2-1) versus Chuck Moldoon (5-11)

(Preview) Ren Naga-Wing is a Jiu-Jitsu fighter that has trained extensively in wrestling during his short MMA career. He started out with a QFC match, losing via TKO. He made an appearance at the short lived Ultimate Vegas fight promotion, submitting his opponent in just 21 seconds. In his EP debut, Naga-Wing submitted Hoolio Dawg late in the first round with a triangle choke. Ren Naga-Wing has a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt to support him on the ground.

Chuck Moldoon, who I thought was named after the “clever girl” Australian that looked like a badass until he became raptor munchies, is a veteran mixed martial artist of over sixteen professional fights. He has made appearances in regional Qfc shows, has fought for Dominance MMA, Hypnotic FC, and most notably Epicity Productions. He is known as a bit of a glass cannon among fans as he has impressive stopping power in his fists but struggles against heavy hitters as well. Say what you will about Chuck Moldoon, but if he connects flush with a punch, he can knock any man unconscious.

[UNDERCARD]

(Heavyweight Division) Satoshi Ishii (10-1) versus Manchester Red (5-1)

(Preview) Satoshi Ishii is a legend on the Japanese MMA circuit. He started his mixed martial arts career in Las Vegas, submitting two opponents in the Vegas Fight Nights MMA show. Following these performances, Ishii returned home to Japan where he signed an exclusive contract with the Last Man Standing league. It was in that promotion that Ishii earned his reputation as an indestructible Judoka, submitting seven of his eight opponents there. Six of those submission victories came by way of rear naked choke. His only defeat came when he fought a hard headed Muay Thai stylist ironically named Hard Headed. Headed was able to out point Ishii in the clinch and stay off of the ground long enough to win a narrow decision. In his most recent appearance, Satoshi Ishii submitted Chuck Moldoon (clever girl!) via, you guessed it: first round rear naked choke.

Machester Red fought his entire career for Hostility MMA, competing in the deliciously named Butterball Tournament. Manchester Red not only won the entire tournament, but he did so with brutal stopping power, knocking out four of his five opponents before out pointing his final opponent to win the whole thing. Following the tournament, Red was released from his management team, signed with new management, and was promptly submitted by Mark McCain in the first round in EP.

(Middleweight Division) Mark Hales (1-0) versus Johnny Buck (2-1)

(Preview) Mark Hales is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner that has earned his purple belt in the sport. His training partners boast that he is a machine in the gym, pushing well beyond the level of training that most men achieve. In his mixed martial arts debut, Hales submitted Johnny Buck at EP 11.

Johnny Buck is a grinder, preferring to throw strikes against the cage and grapple on the ground. This strategy worked to his detriment in his most recent fight, as he was submitted by Johnny Buck after reversing into his guard.

(Middleweight Division) Fat Retard (0-1) versus Javier Alvarez (2-3)

(Preview) Fat Retard is a hilariously named Muay Thai stylist that comes from a gym boasting elite specialized training. He made his mixed martial arts debut at EP 6 where he was stopped by Mentor Guruland in just 21 seconds.

Javier Alvarez fought relatively his entire career for the Relativity MMA promotion, amassing a 1-3 record during that time. He is a Jiu-Jitsu brown belt whose only submission victory came due to ground and pound. He may not have the best submissions, the best chin, or the best knockout power, but he's the best Javier Alvarez I've ever written about. Nobody can take that away from him.

(Middleweight Division) Donnie Felterbush (5-3) versus Donnie Datsik (1-1)

(Preview) It's the battle of the Donnies! Donnie madness! Donnie Felterbush (for all of you juveniles in the audience, he is good friends with Benjamin Dover and his wife Eileen) comes from a manager that I have a great deal of respect for in terms of Tycoon history. Before my original account was deleted for inactivity, I promoted one of his championship level fighters and was god damned impressed with him. Focusing on Felterbush, Donnie is an Olympic level wrestler with a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, and destructive standing skills. Felterbush can wreck you with heavy punches on the feet, in the clinch, or can take you down to pound on you from the top position. All five of his victories come by way of stoppage due to strikes.

Donnie Datsik has slowly crawled from the cesspool known as the QFC, having been submitted in his professional debut in January 2014. He took the better part of '14 off to train and it paid dividends... Datsik knocked out Guthrum Oskar at Hostility 36, winning the fight in just 38 seconds flat. Like his opponent, Datsik is an amazingly high level wrestler and a brown belt. He is actually rumored to be an even better striker than Felterbush.

Embrace Thy Epicity

EP 15: Miller vs Zerkle was a mixed martial arts event held by: Epicity Productions, in conjunction with Walhalla Clothing, and the VENDETTA fighting alliance. This event took place on February 28, 2015 at The Palmtree Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevda, USA.

[PROLOGUE]

EP 15: Miller versus Zerkle will showcase a lightweight championship fight between the Japanese native, Jeffrey Miller, as he first attempts to defend his championship belt against the grappler, Marvin Zerkle.

With several legendary fighters filling out the main card, including a fight between a red belt and a black belt, this is one can't-miss fight card!

[OFFICIAL FIGHT CARD]

[uNDERCARD BOUTS]

(Middleweight Division) Donnie Felterbush versus Donnie Datsik

Round 1 – Felterbush opened with the jab, keeping Datsik at bay, and opening a cut on the forehead of Datsik. Donnie Datsik tried to answer by landing some kicks, really only connecting with a decent low kick. Felterbush took him to the ground but immediately found himself on the defensive as Datsik rolled for a series of submissions. Felterbush laid in guard for the remainder of the round, controlling and working some ground and pound.

Round 2 – Datsik pushed forward with more kicks and Felterbush worked the body. As Datsik started swinging more widely, Felterbush was getting inside with straight punches. Felterbush set Datsik up with a feinted jab and cracked him with a head kick, as if to show him how it's done. Datsik scrambled back to his feet and tried to pick up the pace, swarming Felterbush with blows. Donnie Felterbush avoided most of his shots with ease and scored another takedown into the guard of Datsik.

Round 3 – Donnie Datsik caught Donnie Felterbush “slippin'” as my urban neighbor would say. Datsik caught Felterbush with a beautiful lead right and followed it with a left over the top that opened a cut on Felterbush. Felterbush faked the leg kick but instead pumped the jab. Datsik missed with a lunging punch and Felterbush dove for his legs, taking him to the ground, and landing in full guard. Datsik flipped a butterfly sweep, landing in half guard. Felterbush got back to full guard and reversed, landing himself in guard on top once again. Donnie Datsik worked relentlessly to lock in a submission from the bottom. Felterbush controlled until the referee stood them up, and then hopped on his bicycle to avoid fighting until the final bell. Donnie Felterbush def. Donnie Datsik via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

(Middleweight Division) Fat Retard versus Javier Alvarez

Round 1 – Both men spent the first minute cracking each other with powerful kicks. Thirty seconds in, Retard nailed Alvarez with a hard kick to the body that changed the complexion of the fight; Alvarez was hurt but kept pressing forward. After the on minute mark, Retard forced the clinch, landing a couple of knees as Avarez tried to hang on. Retard landed a high kick that busted Alvarez up and then tagged him with a huge uppercut! Retard followed him down with a series of punches until the referee stopped the fight! Fat Retard def. Javier Alvarez via TKO (Strikes) at 2:47 of round 1.

(Middleweight Division) Mark Hales versus Johnny Buck

Round 1 – Mark Hales started this fight very aggressive; after avoiding the head kick from Johnny Buck, Hales shot in for a takedown. Johnny Buck stuffed it so Hales tried to clinch off of the shot; nothing came of it. Hales threw a right hand and dove in for the double leg takedown off of it; nothing, Buck defended. On his fourth takedown attempt, Hales drove Buck to the ground, landing himself in full guard. Hales went for a heel hook but Buck defended it. Hales passed to half guard and tried to muscle an arm triangle choke but Johnny Buck survived it, forcing a scramble in an attempt to get back to his feet. Mark Hales capitalized by quickly taking the back of Buck and locking in the fight ending choke. Mark Hales def. Johnny Buck via Submission (RNC) at 2:35 of round 1.

(Heavyweight Division) Satoshi Ishii versus Manchester Red

Round 1 – In the first minute of this round, we saw Ishii trying to dive in to get a double leg takedown, and trying to force the clinch so that he could obtain one of those Judo throws he is so well known for. Manchester Red did a good job of keeping Ishii off of him while landing a couple of decent leg kicks. At the one minute mark, Satoshi Ishii scored a power double leg into the guard of Manchester Red, and almost immediately went for a leg lock of some kind. Red defended well so Ishii retained his position on top. Ishii easily passed from guard to half guard, and then finally into full mount! From that position, Satoshi Ishii went for the armbar and forced the tap! What a good night for armbars. In his post-fight speech, Satoshi Ishii thanked his sponsor: Invictus Laundry for their support. Satoshi Ishii def. Manchester Red via Submission (Armbar) at 2:35 of round 1.

(Heavyweight Division) Ren Naga-Wing versus Chuck Moldoon

Round 1 – Chuck Moldoon opened with a wild lead right hand and cracked Ren Naga-Wing with a leg kick that buckled the knee. Naga-Wing didn't appreciate that; he responded by pushing forward and forcing some clinch action against the cage. Moldoon swung wildly with some short uppercuts but Naga-Wing ontrolled, pulled guard, and threw up a triangle armbar. Ren Naga-Wing def. Chuck Moldoon via Submission (Triangle Armbar) at 0:57 of round 1.

[MAIN CARD]

(Heavyweight Division) Buster Quinn versus Bernard Bear

Round 1 – As the aggressive Bernard Bear pushed forward, throwing straight punches, Buster Quinn worked hard to keep Bear at a distance. Quinn was working the long jab but the speed of Bernard Bear was allowing him to duck inside, landing short power punches, and break away without taking damage. Bear clobbered Quinn with a hard jab that seemed to ring Quinn's bell. Before Quinn could even react, Bear was on him with an overhand right that sent Buster Quinn tumbling face first to the canvas, out cold. Bernard Bear def. Buster Quinn via KO (Punch) at 1:16 of round 1.

http://i.imgur.com/koGH1g7.jpg

(Lightweight Division) Boreste Bardanos versus Zlatko Zahovic

Round 1 – The two fighters traded jabs early but Zahovic was the aggressor, throwing a tremendous volume of shots. This aggression opened him up for the takedown that Bardanos caught him in. Full guard for Bardanos. Both men had their moments advancing position for the next couple of minutes but Bardanos was working the ground and pound throughout. As they rolled for position, they both threatened with submissions. Bardanos closed out the round on top working the short elbows from side control.

Round 2 – Bardanos was trying to set up the counter-takedown off of the aggression of Zlatko Zahovic. About a minute in, Bardanos scored the takedown he so desired, landing in half guard. Zahovic tried to roll himself to the top position and Bardanos mounted him with four minutes left in the round! Bardanos postured up and started raining down blows on Zahovic. For the next three minutes, Bardanos absolutely destroyed Zahovic with ground and pound from mount. At the four minute mark, Bardanos rolled for an armbar and Zahovic used the momentum to reverse, landing in guard on top! Huge reversal for Zahovic! Zahovic postured up with a huge elbow, looking to finish, and Bardanos reversed him, landing in guard on top! Zlatko Zahovic immediately threw up his legs in a high guard, wrapping the neck of Bardanos in a triangle choke! That was an incredible round and stoppage! Zlatko Zahovic def. Boreste Bardanos via Submission (Triangle) at 4:35 of round 2.

[CO-MAIN EVENT]

(Welterweight Division) Derek The Brave versus Jacek Moczymorda

Round 1 Derek The Brave went for an early takedown, bringing Jacek to the ground, full guard. The Brave worked ground and pound from guard for the following minute until the referee stood them up. The Brave pumped the jab, cutting Jacek, before taking him back to the ground, side control. The Brave went for a submission, worked short punches from side control, and then mounted at about three minutes in. From mount, The Brave was crashing blows onto Moczymorda like the tides were coming in. Moczymorda was trying to get back to half guard but The Brave was unloading bombs on him. Near the very end of the round, The Brave hurt Moczymorda bad and went for the finish. That's all she wrote. Derek The Brave def. Jacek Moczymorda via TKO (Strikes) at 4:55 of round 1.

[MAIN EVENT]

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20150113202340ep.png(Lightweight Division, Championship bout) Jeffrey Miller© versus Marvin Zerkle

http://i.imgur.com/PSLeYIM.jpg

Round 1 – Jeffrey Miller walked out slowly, letting the familiar guitar riffs of Iron Maiden echo throughout the arena. The audience in attendence ate it up; the atmosphere for this championship fight was electric. Jeffrey Miller opened immediately with the leg kick, darting in-and-out before Marvin Zerkle could respond. Marvin Zerkle managed to land a couple of decent punches but he was working aggressively to land a takedown. Miller was keeping his distance, countering with the occasional right hand to make Zerkle think. Zerkle kept driving forward, landing lunging punches and trying to grab the legs, and Miller worked diligently to keep the aggressive challenger at bay. At the very end of the round, Zerkle did manage to pull guard after Miller clinched. Miller controlled from guard until the round ended.

http://i.imgur.com/MHZLO6g.jpg

Round 2 – Jeffrey Miller was more aggressive to start this round, working the lead leg of Marvin Zerkle. Zerkle dove in for a takedown and ate a right hand sandwich for his trouble. That punch seemed to hurt Zerkle but he managed to stay on his feet. Zerkle began to start swinging more wildly and Miller was getting inside of his shots, making him pay for every step. Four minutes in, Jeffrey Miller cracked Zerkle with a right hand that sent him toppling to the floor. Zerkle jumped right back to his feet but he was on rubbery legs. The last minute of the round was an absolute slug fest with both guys landing some shots, but no doubt The Champion was getting the better of these exchanges.

http://i.imgur.com/U9tjQYE.jpg

Round 3 – Straight out of the barrel, Marvin Zerkle tripped Jeffrey Miller to the floor, taking side control. Miller was keeping busy, working from the bottom position as Zerkle held on. Despite Zerkle's best efforts, Miller regained half guard, and then full guard. Zerkle did manage to pass back into half guard and he started working the short range ground and pound but neither man accomplished much from this position. Following a referee standup three minutes in, Miller clinched with Zerkle against the cage. Zerkle landed a short left hook and Miller landed some body shots. Zerkle broke free of the clinch and the two men traded blows for the final minute, with Miller capitalizing on the misses of Zerkle.

http://i.imgur.com/2rILUCW.jpg

Round 4 – Marvin Zerkle advanced early, diving in for a takedown on the reigning champion. Jeffrey Miller easily avoided it and cracked Zerkle on the ribs with a hard body kick. Miller worked the straight punches and Zerkle swung wildly with the overhand right. As Zerkle lunged in with a wide left hook, Miller came over the top with a head kick that put Zerkle on his back! Marvin followed into mount and finished Zerkle with a barrage of punishment! Jeffrey Miller thanked Walhalla Clothing for their continued support following his victory. Jeffrey Miller def. Marvin Zerkle via TKO (Strikes) at 0:35 of round 4 to retain the Undisputed EP Lightweight Championship of the World!

Embrace Thy Epicity

EP 16: James vs Watson is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by: Epicity Productions, in conjunction with Walhalla Clothing, and the VENDETTA fighting alliance. This event will take place on March 7, 2015 at The Parisian Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevda, USA.

[PROLOGUE]

Right around the time that I sat down to start this preview, an invasive species of prominent bastards known as the Argentine Ant decided to take up permanent residence in my house. I quickly got used to the fact that I would find one floating around in my bathroom sink, despite my efforts to prevent this. However, on the fateful day that I left a Slim Jim wrapper on my desk, I came home from work to find close to one hundred of these hellish creatures crawling all over my desk, my walls, and my bed. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed, and I decided not to light the room on fire.

Anyways, with no further adieu, I bring you a main event that is worthy of being called a super fight. Epicity Heavyweight Champion of the World Sean Watson will attempt to make his first title defense, but to do so he will have to overcome the knockout power of Peter James. Unlike Watson, Peter James fought the bulk of his career in Fortitude FC; he climbed that mountain and came down with championship gold.

In a classic stylistic match-up, we have the professional boxer, Peter James, attempting to raise above the odds to claim the champion's crown from the amateur wrestler, Sean Watson.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20150113202340ep.png(Heavyweight Division, Championship bout) Peter James (13-8) versus Sean Watson© (10-2)

(Preview) Sean Watson is the undisputed Epicity Productions Heavyweight Champion of the world. Long before he made his professional fighting debut, he was a decorated NCAA wrestler. After some set backs in his personal life dragged him away from his Olympic dreams, and financial strain forced him to stop training, Watson began looking for alternative ways to earn a living.

When he learned that McDonald's drug tests (I mean, they do, right? My friend really needs to know.), Watson turned to the young sport of mixed martial arts to make rent. At just nineteen years old, Sean Watson hadn't been in a fist fight since elementary school, but he figured that he could follow in the footsteps of men like Mark Coleman and Mark Kerr (two Marks that Watson looked up to).

Sean Watson made his official fighting debut in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, fighting for the Brok Fighting Championship. The event location wasn't glamorous, the fans weren't respectful, and the pay wasn't the greatest... but Watson knew that his future depended on his ability to not just perform but to annihilate his opposition. His cornerman, a fellow wrestler, reminded him that it was going to be him or his opponent. Watson was tasked with facing Martin Connor, a Greco Roman wrestler that had taken up cardio kickboxing as a hobby. After eating a couple of reasonably hard kicks, Watson tackled Connor to the canvas and opened up with vicious punches and elbows to his helpless opponent. Two minutes into the second round, Watson felt Connor breaking beneath him, so he picked up the pace... rather than just stop Connor, Sean Watson knocked him out cold. The fans loved it. After fighting a one-off fight for a junior division in a Brazilian parking lot, Sean Watson was invited back to fight for the Brok Fighting Championship (then named KOMMA).

Sean Watson happily signed a two fight contract with KOMMA; his two opponents struggle to remember what, exactly, happened to them in the cage with Watson. They just know it was terrible. Watson battered one man into a bloody pulp, forcing a first round doctor stoppage, and knocked the other man out with brutal ground and pound. Watson also added a new wrinkle into his game: Watson was hunting for the submission between strikes. Sean Watson would then sign a two fight contract with Fortitude FC, a promotion that was new to the city. Watson would stop championship hopefuls Roger Howlingate and Diego Sanchez (no relation), both within the first round.

After taking a month off to round out his Jiu-Jitsu and striking games, Sean Watson returned to mixed martial arts under the Warzone MMA banner, stopping Thomas William with a first round knockout on the feet. Watson would then stop Franky Train with ground and pound, before facing his toughest challenge to date. Sean Watson faced hard nosed brawler John Big Baby, falling victim to a first round TKO defeat; the first of his career. Watson rebounded with a second round knock out over Franky Train in their rematch, before signing with Epicity Productions.

Watson wasn't given an easy opponent in his EP debut: Watson faced Zoey Malone Jr, an aggressive former collegiate wrestler that had become an accomplished kickboxer before turning to mixed martial arts. After a hard fought first round, in which Watson had run out of gas wrestling with Malone, an exhausted Sean Watson would make the fatal mistake of trying to brawl with Malone, falling victim to a series of brutal overhand rights that knocked Watson out. It was the first true knockout loss of Watson's career. Due to availability, Sean Watson was given a shot at the EP Heavyweight title ahead of Malone; he faced Buster Quinn, a brawler with a talent for submission fighting. Watson would dominate Quinn before stopping him in the second round, earning him the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world.

Long before he ever stepped into the cage, Peter James was your average Joe plumber living in New York, and working nine hour days to make ends meet. When James was laid off, he informed his union that he would be looking for contracting work elsewhere. The union was less than thrilled; they put a freeze on his contract, effectively making him unable to work as a plumber in New York.

Peter James refused to degrade himself by working a meaningless job; he had EARNED his plumbing job, and he'll be damned if he's going to let some pencil dick (his wording, not mine) paper pusher put him on the shelf indefinitely. However, James needed to feed his family; when a distant relative of his informed him that he was an agent for a few low level boxers, James happily signed his name to fight on the undercard of a local show.

His opponent, another unknown rookie from the area, talked highly of his own knockout power and guaranteed that he would put James out in two. There is one idiom that you should always remember: never piss off a plumber. One of the side effects of installing boilers and lugging piping all day that is often understated is the extreme physical strength that comes as a result. James overwhelmed his opponent with his raw punching power. After fighting in a few local shows, earning himself the reputation of a slugger, James' agent came to him with a “crazy idea that (he) cannot pass up”. His agent informed him that there was a local parking lot mixed martial arts show going on, and they needed one more for the undercard. And just like that, Peter James was fighting in the local Quickfight Championship show.

Peter James took a one hour class at a MMA gym, getting the basics of defensive wrestling, mostly to get an idea of the worst case scenario positions. Luckily for James, he would face another brawler, who would opt to stand and bang, to his detriment; Peter James won his mixed martial arts debut via first round knockout. Figuring that it was just a one-and-done performance, James was signed to fight on the undercard of a local kickboxing tournament called Warriors of Combat Fighting System. James was tasked with fighting the heavyhanded King Kong Dong (So hard to take that name seriously, even in this context...). Kong would drop James twice, but the fans in attendance that watched the fight spoke highly of James' willingness to take a beating and keep pushing forward. Peter James would ultimately be knocked out just one minute into the fight but he never stopped swinging.

Peter James next faced William Marstars, a clinchfighting expert. The fight would take part heavily in the clinch, with James dropping a unanimous decision. James was lined up to take on Muay Thai kickboxer Somchai Ubon. Despite being known as an aggressive slugger, Ubon was also known for having a, shall we say, questionable chin. Ubon rushed forward, and was knocked out in just twenty-one seconds. Peter James fought once more in the K-1 league, falling victim to Mirko Filipovic (no relation) in the second round.

With this loss, James was offered a one fight contract with Gladiator FC, a local mixed martial arts show. James knocked out Helio Filgueiras, a young brawler, in the first round. GFC quickly signed James to a four fight contract. In his return fight, he stopped Max Doe in just thirty seconds. Doe protested the stoppage, claimed it was early, so James agreed to a rematch and stopped him in the second round instead. Peter James suffered the first loss of his MMA career when he faced the highly aggressive brawler affectionately named Wanderlei “The Ass Murderer” Silva. Classy.

Peter James fought twice more on The Island; he stopped Zdravko Dren and was consequently stopped by Burt Reynolds in the Island Season Two Heavyweight Tournament.

Following his return to the mainland, having spent his entire career on The Island, Peter James signed with Fortitude FC, a new promotion based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. James would begin a rigorous physical training regiment, getting into elite fighting shape for the first time in his career. For the entirety of his Fortitude FC career, James would compete at his old kickboxing weight of 270 lbs, rather than cutting to the heavyweight limit. James would face Royler Gracie, a 6-1 Jiu-Jitsu brown belt that hat never been stopped in his professional career. Despite being a tremendous underdog, James would knock out Gracie in just thirty-three seconds, putting him in a very advantageous position with the company.

Peter James would fight for the vacant super-heavyweight championship, taking on QFC Tournament semi-finalist Cc Cc (his name actually had the letter C sixteen times, but I still refuse to type that shit). Cc was a veteran kickboxer known for his tremendous knockout power; James would stop him in just fourteen seconds to become the undisputed Fortitude FC Super-heavyweight Champion of the world. After running through the up-and-coming brawler George Patton, James would face former welterweight journeyman turned freeweight loudmouth Brody Macbeth. Macbeth was undefeated with all three of his victories coming by way of stoppage due to strikes. Despite being a clinch fighter, Macbeth opted to match James blow-for-blow, a tactic that proved to be his undoing as the reigning champion knocked Macbeth out in just nineteen seconds to defend his title. Peter James defended his title one final time as he knocked out Valentin Ralek, an undefeated knockout artist with ten consecutive victories to his credit. James was once again the underdog and was once again underestimated. He would knock Ralek out in just under two minutes.

Peter James would attempt to defend his title for the fourth consecutive time in a fight that would prove to be his last in FFC. With no small touch of irony, fate had lined him up with the man that he had knocked out to earn his contender status: Royler Gracie. Royler had always claimed that his loss to James was a fluke. Gracie would back up his claims, submitting James three minutes into their fight with an armlock.

Fortitude FC would shut down shortly after this fight and James would fight in a handful of smaller promotions, going 2-2 post-championship.

(Heavyweight Division) Serder Serderov (6-2) versus Zoey Malone Jr (4-1)

(Preview) Serder Serderov is a veteran of the Heavyweight Prizefighting league, where he earned his reputation as one of the great punchers. Serderov is a fighter that has never gone the distance in eight professional fights; either he knocks you out, or he gets knocked out... there is no middle ground for him. Serderov is a Muay Thai stylist that loves to rip short range punches and elbows against the cage. Pointedly lacking, however, is a fluent kicking game; he prefers to throw punches and maintain his balance.

Zoey Malone Jr is a powerful Greco Roman Wrestler with excellent takedowns against the cage, excellent ground and pound, and has shown the spark of knockout power in some of his fights. He compliments his clinching style by being an effective boxer as well; his two most recent finishes came in the second round, on the feet, after he exhausted his opponents in the clinch in the first round.

Like so many fighters, Zoey Malone Jr started his career in the QFC arena, going 1-1 in local shows. He was promptly signed by Epicity Productions, where he has defeated three consecutive opponents including reigning heavyweight champion Sean Watson- who he knocked unconscious early in the second round.

Malone was a shoe-in candidate to challenge for the vacant heavyweight championship, but he requested extra time to train in order to prepare himself physically and mentally for the struggles of holding a world title.

[MAIN CARD]

(Middleweight Division) Ho Chi Min (3-1) versus Stefan Kung (8-3)

(Preview): Ho Chi Min has fought for Epicity Productions since the opening event, compiling a company and professional record of three victories with one defeat. Despite being a truly high level Muay Thai stylist, he is a dangerous grappler as well. He has earned his purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and he is just as likely to submit you as he is to beat you senseless. He trains in a private gym with such notable fighters as Fat Retard and Medium Hardon, two very respectable names in mixed martial arts.

Stefan Kung is perhaps best known for his submission victory over former Epicity Productions championship hopeful AG Pennypacker. He started his career in the Warzone MMA promotion, and quickly earned his reputation as an elite submission fighter. His wrestling is among the best in the division and he holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

[[ADVANTAGE]]: Ho Chi Min (Although it's a close fight)

(Middleweight Division) John Hoop (11-6-1) versus Harrison Yates (6-0)

(Preview) John Hoop started his prize fighting career as a K-1 kickboxer, fighting for the World Combat Sports Association, based in Las Angeles, California. His kickboxing record is 9-3-1, not including his rematch with Ted Butler, who failed to make weight, officially cancelling the fight. Having failed to claim the world title in his third fight, John Hoop challenged the new middleweight champion Franco Williams for his title. Hoop defeated Williams via unanimous decision, and once more in the instant rematch. Following these two victories, John Hoop made his mixed martial arts debut, knocking out Travis Davies in the second round. John Hoop next faced Drake Dusk for the EP middleweight championship, falling victim to a submission in the fourth round. Hoop was submitted in his next fight as well. He rebounded with a first round knockout over Leiro Nayr.

Harrison Yates is an undefeated Muay Thai stylist that started his career in the Barbarian Fight Club. He started his career managed by the infamous Castor Rollins, and was released after his second professional fight. Under new management, Yates signed to fight with Impact MMA, based in London, England. He dominated his three opponents under the IMMA banner, but was once again released for unknown reasons. Under new-new management, Yates has signed to fight for Epicity Productions, knocking out Greg Smith in the first round of his promotional debut.

[[ADVANTAGE]]: Harrison Yates.

(Heavyweight Division) Rasputin Erasmus (6-4) versus Shezzo Wicked (8-7-1)

(Preview) Rasputin Erasmus, likely a name that pays homage to Grigori Rasputin, is a former amateur boxer that set his sights on mixed martial arts. He began his MMA career in the FORBIDDEN VIOLENCE league, Stopping Kevin Wooten in just 52 seconds. After dropping a pair of hard fights, Erasmus rebounded by knocking out Sarkis Zakoyan and Marcus Dewayne respectively. Erasmus then faced Robbie Luatua in a fight that would be dubbed the bloodiest fight of the night; while Luatua ate some hard shots, Erasmas would be left a bloody mess, forcing the doctors to stop the bout. Despite the fact that the doctor stoppage was ruled as a defeat, it raised his stock as he pushed through his punishment for nearly three whole rounds. Rasputin stopped his next opponent and then challenged Bernard Bear for the heavyweight championship title. The Champion did everything he could to bring the fight to the ground but Rasputin Erasmus knocked him out at two minutes twenty-eight seconds of the very first round, becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Rasputin Erasmus would never get the opportunity to defend his title; he would sign to fight for Relativity MMA next, suffering the second loss due to doctor stoppage of his career. In his final fight with Relativity MMA, Rasputin would knock out Sarkis Zakoyan in just forty-six seconds.

Shezzo Wicked is also a former boxer that made the switch to mixed martial arts briefly. He went on an astounding five fight losing streak in small-time local QFC shows before beating GG Allin via decision. Wicked then fought a single fight for the GAMMA: Kids Devision, defeating Lucas Bishop via decision. After fighting one final QFC match, Wicked signed to fight for the kickboxing league, New Age Cage Fighting, where he stopped his debut opponent. With four consecutive victories to his credit, Shezzo Wicked challenged for the Super-heavyweight title, only to be knocked out in the second round. After being knockd out via crane kick in his next performance, he fought to a bloody draw against Matt Weston, defeating him via decision in the rematch. In his final kickboxing bout, Wicked stopped Antti Meijori in the third round. Shezzo Wicked took a final fight in a local QFC show, beating an unknown opponent into retirement.

Shezzo Wicked was then signed by Epicity Productions and made his promotional debut at EP 13: Pennypacker vs Struicao. His opponent was Johnny Rico, a heavy handed South African brawler with perhaps the sturdiest chin to grace EP. In the first round, Rico managed to control Wicked using his impressive wrestling background. Wicked survived and Rico started the second round with his mouth hanging open. As Wicked pushed forward with shots, Johnny Rico managed to tie him up against the cage in a clinch, but Wicked was landing the better shots against the cage. The final round was all Shezzo Wicked; his lack of stopping power wasn't a problem as he landed punches in bunches to oust his opponent on points.

[[ADVANTAGE]]: Shezzo Wicked.

(Lightweight Division) Homero Lopez (6-8) versus Brogan Kearney (7-6)

(Preview) Homero Lopez is a veteran submission fighter with a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The vast majority of his fights took place right here in Las Vegas, although he did compete a couple of times in Montreal as well. In EP, Lopez defeated Derek Patterson before being stopped by a pair of killers in Jeffrey Miller and Boreste Bardanos.

Brogan Kearney is a former kickboxer that competed primarily in Los Angeles, California. His professional kickboxing record is 5-2 with only one of his fights going past the first round in that time. He is currently 2-3 in Epicity Productions, where he has fought the majority of his mixed martial arts fights. Brogan Kearney has never gone the distance, although he almost did so against the slugger Zlatko Zahovic.

[[ADVANTAGE]]: Giving this one to Brogan Kearney. He has the ground skills to nullify the grappling of Lopez (probably), and he has a tremendous striking advantage.

(Middleweight Division) Leiro Nayr (9-6) versus Ben Simpson (6-3)

(Preview) Leiro Nayr is a man that, despite his extremely high level of boxing, prefers to brawl with opponents above all else. He has proven that he has incredible knockout power. He has competed for the Hostility MMA world light-heavyweight championship on two occasions, falling before Black Dynamite (that's his name, don't Mike Brown me, please) in both instances. In Epicity, Leiro Nayr has been stopped by Ho Chi Min and John Roop, two men that you shouldn't be ashamed to have been defeated by.

Ben Simpson is a well rounded fighter, proudly boasting a formidable striking game, which compliments his aggressive wrestling game as well. He has a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and has proven that he isn't just another defensive ground stylist, when he submitted Eddy Hwang back in the Pomplinestine Fighting Championships. Ben Simpson shares a common opponent with Nayr; he was stopped by Ho Chi Min as well. Unlike his opponent, Simpson holds a victory in EP; he knocked out Travis Davies in the second round.

[[ADVANTAGE]]: Giving it to Ben Simpson due to his impressive ground game.

(Heavyweight Division) Akamai Hoi (4-3) versus Johnny Rico (3-2)

(Preview) Akamai Hoi became a small time fan favorite in his three parking lot QFC fights, which are viewable on Youtube. Despite starting his career with three consecutive stoppages in as many months, Hoi struggled when signed to a big time MMA promotion. He was signed to fight Diego Strecha in the Insanity MMA promtoion. He was defeated via unanimous decision. Following another decisive defeat at the hands of the judges, Hoi was dropped by his first management team. After being picked up by another team, Hoi went 1-1 with a brutal finish in each of those fights. Despite being back in the win column, Hoi would be dropped by his third management team. Now on his fourth manager, he has signed to fight for Epicity Productions.

Johnny Rico aka that guy from Starship Troopers who had a best friend that was a psychic, frienzoned himself with his high school sweetheart, hooked up with the frizzy-haired chick conveniently named “Dizzy”, and saves the day at the end of the movie, (was that enough of a run-on sentence for you? We're not done yet!) started his mixed martial arts career in the GAMMA: Kids organization. He was submitted in his professional debut but rebounded with a pair of brutal first round knockouts. After changing management, Rico signed with Epicity Productions, decisioning Sean Kelleher before being decision'd by Shezzo Wicked.

[[ADVANTAGE]]: Akamoi Hoi

Until Next Time.

Embrace Thy Epicity

EP 16: James vs Watson was a mixed martial arts event held by: Epicity Productions, in conjunction with Walhalla Clothing, and the VENDETTA fighting alliance. This event took place on March 7, 2015 at The Parisian Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevda, USA.

[Official Fight Card]

[PRELIMINARY CARD – Farcebook.com Stream]

(Heavyweight Division) Akamai Hoi versus Johnny Rico

Round 1 – The audience in attendence was brought to life by Akamai Hoi's entrance music, Blood Red Sky, as Hoi nodded his head to tune. Hoi's intensity in the pre-fight staredown paled in comparison to the indescribable fury of his attack; Hoi was throwing everything he had, punches and kicks, trying to rip Rico's head off with every shot. Three minutes in, he nearly did just that; he landed a series of hard punches that put Johnny Rico down. Hoi backed up and screamed for Rico to get up and fight. Johnny Rico stood up, slowly, shaking his head to clear the cobwebs, and Hoi resumed his assault. Johnny Rico survived the round but he was a bloody heap as he sat on his stool.

Round 2 – Johnny Rico missed with a wide swinging head kick, and Hoi nearly threw one of his own, pulling out at the last second. Rico landed a leg kick, Hoi responded by buckling his knee with a leg kick. Johnny Rico picked up the pace one minute into the round and Hoi started to ride his bicycle, making Rico chase after him. As Rico extended with lunging shots, Hoi tagged him with body shots and overhand punches. Two minutes into the round, Johnny Rico picked up the pace again, and right on cue, Hoi started circling away. Three minutes in, Johnny Rico swung wide with an uppercut that was never going to hit. Akamai Hoi rushed forward, battering Johnny Rico with lefts and rights a la young Vitor Belfort. Rico crumbled under the pressure and the referee jumped in to stop the fight! Huge victory for Akamai Hoi! Akamai Hoi def. Johnny Rico via TKO (Strikes) at 3:07 of round 2.

A pumped up Akamai Hoi took to the mic, thanking the fans for their incredible enthusiasm during his fight.

[PRELIMINARY CARD – Faux Sports 1]

(Middleweight Division) Leiro Nayr versus Ben Simpson

Round 1 – Taking a page out of Hoi's book, Leiro Nayr walked out to a ripping rock riff; he looked almost solemn with his hood covering his face, and his head down, swaying to the music. As Cliff Williams and Malcolm Young kicked to life, Nayr looked up, facing the crowd and the path to the cage for the first time. He all but ran to the cage, ripping his clothes off as he went, until he was only in his gloves and his shorts. Ben Simpson was a bit less animated, he just smiled as he walked to the cage. During the staredown, Nayr leaned in close and stared Simpson right in the eyes. Ben Simpson met his gaze, that smile never leaving his face.

Seconds into the round, ducked under the arms of Nayr and brought him to the ground with a trip, landing in half guard. In the countdown show, Simpson boasted that his ground and pound was some of the best in the sport, but two minutes in he was missing more than he was landing. Nayr was doing a good job of holding on and preventing Simpson from passing that half guard. However, when Ben Simpson managed to slip his leg free and mount, Nayr was in all sorts of trouble. Ben Simpson postured up and started raining down blows. Nayr just couldn't get out of that position or defend himself so the referee stopped the fight. Excellent work for Mr. Simpson! Ben Simpson def. Leiro Nayr via TKO (Strikes) at 2:27 of round 1.

http://i.imgur.com/hLdxtHG.jpg

As always, Ben Simpson was grinning from ear-to-ear as he thanked his fans and promised more great performances to come.

(Lightweight Division) Homero Lopez versus Brogan Kearney

Round 1 – Lopez was trying to work the wrestling early but he was doing nothing to set it up. Brogan Kearney simply kept his distance, using push kicks and jabs to keep Lopez at bay. One minute in, Kearney landed a power left hand that hurt Lopez and backed him up. Kearney pushed forward with combinations, a left hook, and a right hand that put Lopez back on funny street. That right hand definitely hurt Lopez; he backed up to the cage and covered his head with his arms as Kearney lunged in with another right hand. Lopez blocked that punch and as he went to swing wide with a haymaker, Kearney beat him to the shot with a third right hand down the middle that put Lopez out cold! Brogan Kearney def. Homero Lopez via KO (Punches) at 1:21 of round 1.

Brogan Kearney thanked his fans and shouted out his apparel sponsor, who is also the official event sponsor of Epicity Productions: Walhalla Clothing which is holding a 10% laundry special right now.

[MAIN CARD]

(Heavyweight Division) Rasputin Erasmus versus Shezzo Wicked

Round 1 – Rasputin got a huge entrance; the lights dimmed for a moment. They kicked back on as Turisas's song Rasputin started drumming. The overhead lights flashed in sync as the beat picked up, and Erasmus started that lonely walk to the cage as the words screamed out of the speakers, “There lived a certain man in Russia long ago, he was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow. Most people looked at him with terror and with fear, but to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dear.” Shezzo Wicked came out to the much more mellow acoustic sound of Greyhoundz, but he got just as much applause. The fans knew they were in for a legendary fight when these two collided.

Rasputin started this fight circling, pawing at Wicked with straight shots and getting out of range before he could fire back. Shezzo Wicked was chasing him down, trying to land some shots. Wicked managed to connect with a solid jab that opened a small cut on Erasmus's browline. Erasmus flopped a left hook and ate a leg kick for his trouble. Wicked landed another leg kick and Rasputin sort-of landed with a sloppy left hook. Two minutes in, Wicked picked up the pace, throwing two or three strikes for every one that Rasputin threw. As the two fighters returned to their stools, the corner of Rasputin Erasmus was screaming at him to take the fight seriously. Wicked's corner announced that Rasputin was getting tired.

Round 2 – Neither man looked tired as they opened the round with a brief touch of gloves to get us started. Following his cornermen's orders, Rasputin picked up the pace in this round. Wicked landed a hard right but Erasmus shrugged and nailed him with a body kick. Erasmus pushed forward with shots: hook punches, leg kicks, he even dodged some of the shots Wicked was throwing back at him. One minute in and the momentum of the fight had changed; Erasmus was pushing forward and Wicked was back pedaling and trying to circle away. Erasmus was on him like glue, though, tagging him with shots. Erasmus rocked him with a looping punch and pushed forward with more shots as Shezzo Wicked wilted against the cage. Huge victory for the former Relativity MMA heavyweight champion! Rasputin Erasmus def. Shezzo Wicked via TKO (Strikes) at 1:27 of round 2.

A disappointed Shezzo Wicked shook his head and gave a special shout out to his sponsor, Kemists suppements, based in Los Angeles.

(Middleweight Division) John Hoop versus Harrison Yates

Round 1 – Both of these men are known for being strong standing fighters that prefer to stay off the ground, so you had to know that a slugfest would ensue. In the first minute of the round, we saw both men trading body shots and leg kicks with Hoop taking the center of the cage. Hoop landed a couple of hard shots and Yates backed him off with the jab. As Hoop rushed in to land another looping punch, Yates ducked under and drove Hoop against the cage. In the clinch, Yates was like a wild animal, connecting with body shots and uppercuts. Hoop was firing back but was missing more than he was connecting.

Round 2 – The majority of this round took place in a striking distance with both guys absolutely battering each other to the legs and to the body, throwing out snapping jabs, and swinging with wild overhanded punches. After five minutes of grueling action, two judges declared this round a draw, and one gave it to Hoop.

Round 3 – Hoop maintained that aggressive pace in this round, obviously trying to pressure Yates into submission. Harrison Yates maintained his composure and avoided the majority of his opponent's strikes while landing some hard power shots to the body of Hoop. Despite his aggression, Hoop found himself losing another round here. Harrison Yates def. John Hoop via Unanimous Decision (30-28, 30-28, 29-28).

(Middleweight Division) Ho Chi Min versus Stefan Kung

Round 1 – These two continued the intensity from the staredown the day before as they met in the center of the cage. The referee had to hold them apart while giving the pre-fight instructions. Back in their corners, both men were chomping at the bits to get at each other and start swinging. Stefan Kung wasted no time in diving in for a takedown, completely telegraphing his attempt. Ho Chi Min stuffed it and circled away. Over the course of the next forty-five seconds or so, Ho Chi Min circled away and stuffed the takedown attempts of Kung while catching him with stinging jabs. Ho Chi Min was showing off his different takedown defense drills at the open workouts, and it's obvious that he had taken his training seriously for this fight. Just before the one minute mark, Stefan Kung dragged Chi Min to the ground, settling into half guard. Ho Chi Min wiggled his way to full guard and then reversed when Kung went for a wild kneebar of some kind. Side control for Ho Chi Min! Ho Chi Min stalled away three minutes from above, although Kung did manage to get back to half guard. As he tried to get full guard, Ho Chi Min stepped over his legs and mounted! This was a huge round for Ho Chi Min although not a lot happened at the end there.

Round 2 – As Ho Chi Min stuffed a takedown attempt, he slapping the thigh of Kung with a leg kick. Chi Min went for a high kick and Kung brought him back to the ground, side control! Stefan Kung went for an armbar and Ho Chi Min reversed him, landing in side control! Kung managed to work his way to half guard, and finally to full guard. As Kung threw up his legs for a triangle choke, Ho Chi Min swept his legs aside and landed in side control. Kung reversed and landed on top, half guard! Kung loaded up and started landing ground and pound, securing him the round.

Round 3 – Chi Min was working a wild series of punches, but Kung avoided and threatened with a takedown. Chi Min clinched with him and stalled against the cage, landing enough short punches to avoid being broken up. Kung tried to jump guard, but Chi Min separated, and clinched with him against. Two minutes in, Kung landed a beautiful suplex, slamming Chi Min to the floor. Kung took his back from this position, locking in both hooks! Stefan Kung maintained the back mount for the remainder of the round, landing short punches to the sides of Min's head, while trying to work in the choke. I don't know if I agree with the judges this time. Ho Chi Min def. Stefan Kung via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

[CO-MAIN EVENT]

(Heavyweight Division) Serder Serderov versus Zoey Malone Jr

Round 1 – There was a lot of hype built up around this event; the winner would likely find himself staring across the cage at the heavyweight champion of the world, and the loser would find himself at the back of a very long line, with nothing but his shattered dreams to show. Serderov was aggressive at the weigh-ins, and stared into the eyes of Malone Jr during the fighter introductions here. The second that referee said fight, Serderov ran across the cage and started swinging. He missed with a series of punches, but caught Malone with a head kick that grazed its target. Despite this, Malone was seen to be bleeding only seconds in. Serderov kept swinging: head kicks, punching combinations. Malone tried to tie up the arms of Serderov, but couldn't keep ahold of him. Malone threw his first punch of the fight, a widely missing body shot, and caught Serderov with an overhand right instead. Serderov ran forward with a wild seires of strikes, and Malone circled away. Serderov darted in with a left hook and Malone pushed him against the cage. In the clinch, the roles were reversed; Serderov was trying to hold on and stall, while Malone Jr was working elbows and punches, working aggressively to ravage his opponent. Serderov did manage to hit Malone with a nice right hand but Malone was hammering him with shots from all angles. Just past the four minute mark, Malone separated long enough to clobber Serderov with a huge right hand that sent Serderov tumbling to the floor. Serderov got back to his feet and ran right into an uppercut that snapped his head back. He landed with his back to the cage, sank to his knees, and then fell face-first to the floor in slow motion. His eyes were open as he went down; the lights were on but nobody was home. Zoey Malone Jr def. Serder Serderov via KO (Punch) at 4:20 of round 1.

A stoic Zoey Malone Jr took to the mic. He was asked about his opponent and just shrugged, giving a plug to his sponsor One Stop Shop, a clothing company based in London, England.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20150113202340ep.png(Heavyweight Division, Championship bout) Peter James versus Sean Watson©

Round 1 – Peter James walked out to the generic Epicity Entrance music but was all intensity as he made his way to the cage. James knew that all he had to do was connect with the heavyweight champion and he would walk away with the gold around his waist. The former champion got a nice show of respect from the fans in attendance, and he stared into the camera from inside the cage as he waited for his opponent.

The lights faded to black and the room erupted in cheers and applause. Suddenly, the flood lights kicked to life, filling the room with dark blue. The overhead lights flashed as the music of Sean Watson blasted out of the loud speakers. “Now dance, fucker, dance, man he never had a chance, and no one even know, it was really only you. And now you steal away, take him out today, nice work you did, you're gonna go far, kid.” Sean Watson ran to the cage, his entourage running with him, the arena security trailing behind him. Someone made for Watson's hat and his security grabbed it back before running to catch up to their man.

Rather than walk to his corner, Watson circled the cage, pausing to stare into the eyes of Peter James. The fans ate it up. The mutual intensity between these two world champions was unreal. Both men were professional; they gave the referee his space to go over the rules with them. Peter James offered one gloved fist to show his respect, and Watson slammed his own fist down upon the challenger's. Both men backed up to their corner, never breaking eye contact, and when the referee said fight, both men ran forward, looking to land first. Watson was throwing aggressively; he threw a series of wild hooks, and James bobbed and weaved, avoiding all of them, and coming over the top with a right hand that backed Watson up for a moment. Some old scar tissue over Watson's eye started pouring blood immediately.

As Peter James started connecting cleanly with straight punches, Sean Watson changed his strategy and started trying to time his challenger's strikes for a takedown. Watson dove forward, going for an ankle pick, but James pulled his leg free and hammered Watson with a right uppercut to the jaw. Watson responded by nailing James with a jackhammer of a right hand. One minute in, both men had already landed some clean, hard shots. Peter James started to circle to his right, trying to avoid the left hook of Sean Watson. Watson went for a head kick and ate a jab for his troubles. Watson tried to respond with a jab of his own, clearly trying to match James punch-for-punch. Watson connected with a right hand to the body and used his momentum to drag James to the ground, full guard. Peter James was working guard from his back, keeping his legs high on the shoulders of Sean Watson, threatening with a triangle choke.

Sean Watson started landing ground and pound on Peter James, and he passed easily into half guard. Peter James started cranking on a kimura from the bottom, but Watson is much too strong for that; he pulled his arm free and advanced into side control. Four minutes in, James almost got back to half guard. Sean Watson postured up and started landing shots! He dug his knee into the belly of Peter James, picking up the intensity of his strikes, overwhelming the former Fortitude FC champion, hurting him with every shot! Peter James rolled and covered up. The referee gave James every opportunity to defend or escape but he just couldn't do it! Sean Watson def. Peter James via TKO (Strikes) at 4:39 of round 1 to retain the Undisputed Epicity Heavyweight Championship of the World!

An ecstatic Sean Watson talked himself up to the Las Vegas crowd, promising more violence will come with each challenger he destroys.
