EP 30: The Terrible Thirties was a mixed martial arts event held by: Epicity Productions, in conjunction with Conquer clothing, and the VENDETTA fighting alliance. This event took place on June 13, 2015 at Wandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Epicity 30, marked the 30th event in the numerical stylized cards of Epicity Productions. In actuality is not the 30th EP event but rather the 30th of the main cards realized by my organization. I was very proud to hit this benchmark and even prouder to have my top ranked fighter, Bobby Shamrock fighting on this card defending his EP Welterweight championship against a very game challenger in Sinbad Sailor. This would be Bobby Shamrock's first time defending the title in a main event that would prove to be the biggest fight on the biggest card in Epicity history. As expected or rather MORE than expect, this event was indeed our biggest card yet. We scored an event rating of 302.58 in our sold out arena in which we sold more actual tickets than I expected. Even with a cushion of 200 or so tickets we managed to sell every single one and in the end, this event SKYROCKETED Epicity back in the top 20 orgs in the world. We actually reached the 15th spot for a brief period before being knocked back down to 16th. This is a very impressive feat for a very young org, in comparison we are doing much better than other orgs in our ID range when you consider we haven't even reached 40 events yet. I would like to thank our new writer Grant Brophy for his excellent preview and Davie for his contribution of future previews. In thanks, I give you all my very own review of the The Terrible Thirties. Without further procrastination by the king of stalling, I give you... EPICITY 30!

PRELIMINARY CARD – [Farcebook.com Stream]

Nathan "Left Hook" Rook

175 cm

24

178 lbs

3 - 1 - 0

vs

Raizer Sorrow

185 cm

23

174 lbs

7 - 2 - 0

Round 1: The first round begins with both fighters swinging away at a distance but it's Rook that lands a few damaging shots before Sorrow gets the fight to the ground. Both fighters look for submissions in the struggle before the ref decides he has seen enough grappling and stands them back up. The stand up works excellently in Rook's favor as he is able to tee off on Sorrow for the rest of the round. Rook takes this round easily.

Round 2: The second round of the evening starts off very similar, Rook finds his range and once again begins to tag Sorrow with shot after shot, easily outboxing him. As we get to the midpoint of the round it seems Rook is going to run away with this fight when solid jab from Sorrow puts Rook on queer street and Sorrow follows it up with a brutal slam that puts Rook into dream land and Sorrow punches him into the ref wakes up from his nap and calls the fight!

Winner: Raizer Sorrow

A very nice comeback win for Sorrow and an awesome finish, anytime we get a TKO win by Slam it's a good fight. Sorrow goes on to entertain the crowd with talks of conquering the world and dolphins.

Sammy Sammich

192 cm

26

237 lbs

3 - 2 - 0

vs

Lou "Freight Train" Sanus

201 cm

24

291 lbs

3 - 8 - 0

Round 1: The first round begins with both fighters trading away at distance, both miss most of the shows but Sanus does land a decent leg kick in the exchange. We briefly go into the clinch before Sanus changes his mind and pushes Sammich away and we are back to fight at distance. Both fighters are looking for kicks as Sammich lands leg kicks and Sanus is looking more for kicks to the body. Sanus lands multiple kicks to the body in the first two minutes of the fight. The fight sounds the same way as Sammich lands leg kicks and Sanus lands his body kicks. Sammich begins to find his range with his boxing and begins to land punches as well as kicks. He cuts Sanus with a right hand right after the three minute mark. The boxing of Sammich begins to overwhelm Sanus and another big right hand lands that sends Sanus to the canvas and rocks him so hard his momma in the crowd swoons onto the guy next to her eating nachos. Sanus gets back to the feet but a hook sends him right back down to his back. Sammich, who smells blood, quickly mounts him and finishes the job as the ref calls the fight at the 3 minute, 45 second mark of the very first round.

Winner: Sammy Sammich

A nice statement by Sammich who moves his record up to 4-2.

Jamey Jasta

174 cm

25

154 lbs

6 - 3 - 1

vs

The Steel Penn

155 cm

22

143 lbs

12 - 8 - 0

Round 1: Round 1 begins and ends with an entire five minutes of non-stop action at the distance. Both fighter look to find their distance and Jasta finds some success but it's Steel Penn who lands the majority of the shots and clearly takes the kickboxing-esque round 1.

Round 2: The next round begins with Jasta looking a lot more aggressive, surely trying to make up for that last round he lost. Once again, in a round very much like the first we get an entire 5 minutes of kickboxing in which Jasta lands some shots in the first half of the round but Steel Penn overwhelms him for the rest of the segment. Steel Penn is already up 2 rounds to zip.

Round 3: This round is different from the others only in the aspect of Jasta finding more success and clearly desperately looking for a finish. He lands a vicious combination in the middle of the fight and really steps up his game in this round but it's still not enough to out work Steel Penn who takes this close round as well to surely tie the knot on this fight in a 30:27 rout.

The judges agree with me and all three scores the fight 30:27 in favor of the winner, Steel Penn who although he didn't get the finish should be proud of the effort he put forth. Penn went 0-12 on takedown attempts but still managed to outscore Jasta at his own game.

Winner: Steel Penn

Junior "John" Borg

169 cm

26

159 lbs

9 - 9 - 1

vs

Virgil "The Violator" Dreesen

177 cm

22

166 lbs

4 - 1 - 0

Round 1: The fight begins with Dreesen looking for a lot of kicks, a variety of them but none of them really land on their mark. Borg quickly starts to take advantage of this with counter shots and starts to land shot after shot, head shots and leg kicks of his own. Borg continues to score with head shots and leg kicks and Dreesen doesn't seem to have answer. He is almost dropped at one point in the round and as Borg continues to pour on the punishment as Virgil starts to turn into a punching bag. According to the commentators this was a close round but I don't see it, Borg clearly takes round 1.

Round 2: The next round starts off with Virgil begin a lot more aggressive and trying to change up the pace. He succeeds and lands a nice jab and hook to the head. Dreesen lands another nice body kick and this round is clearly a changing point in the fight. Borg lands a shot to liver while Dreesen keeps aiming for body kicks. BOOM, a spinning backfist lands for Borg, clearly the highlight of the fight so far. A lot closer round than the first but Borg prolly takes the nod again.

Round 3: Round 3 gives us once again another close but entertaining round of action. Borg gets the fight to the ground at one point but neither fighters gets anything accomplished before the ref stands them up. Virgil does find some success in the clinch but Borg does just enough in this round just like the previous two to take the round.

The judges score it 30-27, 30-28 and 30-28 for the winner Junior Borg. A good win for him after a disappointing loss to Boreste in his previous fight.

Winner: Junior Borg

Tyrone Biggums

178 cm

25

185 lbs

8 - 6 - 0

vs

Jalmari "Titus" Pullo

180 cm

24

185 lbs

4 - 2 - 0

Round 1: The first round of the fight begins with Pullo lands a nice surprise takedown into Biggums' guard straight after the opening bell. Biggums immediately goes for a Guillotine choke and he locks it in tight!! Pullo panics and taps out and that is all she wrote for the final fight on our preliminary card.

Winner: Tyrone Biggums

Biggums scores a submission win just 22 seconds into the very first round. An impressive stoppage which gives Pullo the first defeat by stoppage of his career. He looks dissapointed but the kid is young and will surely bounce back. Biggums looks content with himself after a much needed victory. He previously lost a unification bout for the Welterweight championship followed by a suprising submission loss to DeMarcus DeSilva.

Alright everyone that about wraps up the first half of the reviews. The main card in all it's glory will be up tomorrow followed by the poster reveal of EP 31 and it's subsequent preview. Thank you for reading and hope you enjoyed the rundown of our prelim fights.

Onward to the Main Card!

A red sun rises. Blood has been spilled this night.

The omen of crimson chaos seeping through the star of man.

The blood of the fallen flows like a river under the weight of the winner.

EP 31: Blood in the Sun is an upcoming Mixed Martial Arts event taking place on June 20th, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada under the Epicity Productions banner. This markes the first time EP lightweight champion Yaniv "In The Closet" Schulmann takes on challenger Joaquim "Jaquinzinho" Antunes in a headlining fight that will be 5 rounds of championship epicness. This event also marks EP's first event in The Parisian in quite awhile after trying out bigger venues. Epicty owner Dick Hardwood wanted to give the folks at The Parisian one more goodbye event in favor of everything their venue team has done for us in the past. Epicity appreciates it's allies and strives to take cause of it's managers' need. Conquer clothing has partnered up once with their Epicty partner to promote this event and their brand, an epic line of clothing to help keep your fighters' morale up while looking stylish at the same time.

There's been a lot of hype around Epicity lately and in no surprise, it's friendly rival in Insanity has also been doing quite as well. The Mad Cash tournament is shaping up to be one of the biggest tournaments of the year and Epicity president Dick Hardwood has applauded them on many occasions on their style and professionalism. He also stated the he will enjoy their style even more when they are left in the dust of Epicity's rising but know they will keep up, not far behind.

Ranked 15th in the world after it's premier top ranked fighter Bobby Shamrock successfully defended his championship against Sinbaid Sailor in an exciting bout that headlined an epic evening of fights that was Epicity 30. Epicity 30 marked the highest event rating and pure attendance rating in Epicity history and president Dick Hardwood has expressed only more ambition and bravado going forward. He is thrilled with how things have progressed but expressed he will never be truly satisfied until Epicity is the No. 1 fight org in the word.

"Even then... There is so many more possibilities and milestones to explore... true contentness is a myth in this sport."

-Dick Hardwood

Blood will be sport in sacrifice for the two who strive to be the Lightweight championship of Epicity.

The moment has arrived and the warriors must survivors, that trails that await inside the sun. The crimson red that flows and flows, fear not for you or your foes. The time has come and do not succumb to the temptations that way within thy. Epicity is here... And tonight 20 warriors step into the essence of epicness to express how we do 'round our part.

Yaniv "In The Closet" Schulmann...

Joaquim "Jaquinzinho" Antunes...

Epicity's 155 division has put it's best two up to sacrifice their blood for your entertainment. A tribute to your interest in us.

Gentlemen...

Ladies... (ahem)

I give you Epicity 31: Blood in the mother fuckin' Sun!

The Prelims

Fight #1 - Middleweight Division

Guthrum Oskar (7-3)

vs

Ho "Noodles" Chi Min(4-3)

In our first fight of Epicity 31 we have Guthrum Oskar(2-0 EP) vs Ho Chi Min(4-3) in three rounds of octagon excitement. Both of these men are veterans of Epicity however Ho Chin is known as one of the few men to have fought there entire career for EP. Guthrum Oskar started his career testing himself on the Quick Fight cicuit in a successful debut. Since then he signed with Barbarian FC, going 2-2 in the organization before moving onto Hostility where he compiled a record of 2-0 before moving onto new management and a new organization. This is where Guthrum Oskar threw a serious of events ended up on Epicity's roster where has gone 2-0 and is now taking a big step up in competition.

A big step up in competition is no understatement either. Ho may have a record of 4-3 but all these fights have taken place in the competive home of Epicity. Ho has proven himself to be well-rounded and skill young man who has grown up before our very eyes since debuting all the way back at the very first event we had, EP1: Dawnbreaker. He has had his setbacks but he has shown himself to be a tough s.o.b and has some decent wins while losing to very good fighters.

Both of these fighters have much to prove as Noodles is coming off a 2 fight losing streak and Oskar is taking on his first real test in Epicity. An exciting prospect for fireworks in our debut match of the evening.

Fight #2: Middleweight Division

"The Bonapartist" Noirtier De Villefort(6-2)

vs

Pepe Lopez(8-6)

Our second bout of the evening we have The Bonapartist making his debut fight for Epicity and for his new manager in LOD's Gale Hawthorne. At 6-2, he has knocked out his opponent in all six of his victories and has never been finished. From what we have seen from him so far in his career and from what he have seen from him at his gym, he is an extremely skilled kickboxing artist who has a nasty touch and look about him. He has fought his entire career thus far in Insanity before his manager Anita Baker disappeared from his apartment last December and hasn't been seen since. Surely he will be making a big impact with a sick knock out in his Epicity debut and to show his new manager that he is still a beast.

His opponent Pepe Lopez is looking to redeem himself from his losing showing in his EP debut and get himself back on the winning side of things. He has previously spent most of his career being a veteran of Gamma Contenders before he decided he wanted more exposure with a hotter org and jumped shit to Epicity. Lopez is a very skilled grappler and BJJ black belt. He brings with him the edge in experience and a better ground game by far. His downfall is what he has in the grappling game he lacks in the striking game, which is his opponent's bread and butter.

This will surely be a battle to see which opponent can imposs his own game on his opponent and should another fascinating fight to watch unfold.

Fight #3: Middleweight Division

Fat Retard(2-2)

vs

John Hoop(12-8-1)

The third clash of the night feautures 2 long time Epicity veterans stepping into the eight sided fence of death to clash it out, gladiator style. This isn't the first time these two have battled in out, in the first contest Retard was overwhelmed by the veteran experience of John Hoop and lost a decision. Due to bad booking or a personal grudge he finds himself back in the same bout with a chance for revenge against one of the men who put those two losses on his record. A chance for vengeance is always nice, when you add together that much like his pro kickboxing opponent, Retard relies on a strong kickboxing game which ended up being his undoing in the first bout, fighting against the more experience kickboxer. In the rematch he looks to prove he has learned a lot during their time apart and wants to share his knowledge in the form of pain.

His opponent John Hoop has had one circus of a career before finding himself struggling in the Epicity ranks. He is a former champion kickboxer and former middle title challenger. Hoop has had an extremely successful career as a kickboxer, winning the WCSA title before choosing a different career path and found a home at Epicity. He earned his way to a EP Middleweight title shot, losing in round 4 of a fight he was dominating by way of submission. He has had an up and down time in Epicty since then, including losing a second time against Drake Dusk for a second time. He is still a top kickboxing prospect and one of the more talent 185ers on the roster. He has many fights up his belt and looks to win against against the rookie he once beat.

Fight #4: Middleweight championship

Dick "The Engine" Stern(6-4)

vs

Armen Aharonian(5-2)

Fight features the fourth middleweight division fight in a row as we travel up the ladder of the middleweight division. Dick Stern is a veteran of quite a few orgs in only ten fights and now fights for Epicity where he has gone a disappointing 0-3 after starting his career 6-1. He has extremely skilled in multiple facets of the game but he has not found his groove yet while under the Epicity banner. Whether he has lost his mojo or the change in level of competition has dragged him down I talked to him this week in a routine check up of my fighters and saw him training. The kid looked pumped up and ready to bounce back from his abysmal start in EP.

His opponent Armen Aharonian is equally as diverse when it comes to overall skills but his specialty clearly lies within his Elite level boxing which he uses to knock out his opponents. He started his career knocking kids out on the QFC circuit before signing with PhoQus Fight league and going 2-0, each victory by one punch knock outs. In his Epicity debut he faced Donnie Felterbush in a losing effort in which he got (t)ko'd against 'bush. However, much like his opponent I have seen him in his work outs recently and he looks very focus on nothing but victory.

Fight #5: Featherweight Division

Gary "Yukon" Bitters(12-7)

vs

Richard "The Torso Killer" Cottingham(2-0)

The final fight of our preliminary show features Gary "Yukon" Bitters coming off a losing attempt at the inaugural EP Featherweight championship to face Richard "The Torso Killer" Cottingham. Yukon is a long time veteran of Insanity with former manager Bio Hazard before passing hands to current manager Ken Enlow and eventually deciding to change orgs as well. His debut match in Epicity was surprisingly a shot at the then vacant 145 championship, an opportunity he jumped at. He ended up getting finished late in the third round but surely took a lot from the experience and looks to get back on the winning side of things against the young upstart grappler.

Speaking of the grappling devil, Richard Cottingham is a BJJ black belt with some decent wrestling to go along with it. He has had a successful start to his career, going 2-0 with a win by decision and submission via guillotine choke. The Torso Killer at the tender age of 21 is still young but brings with him a crippling high profile grappling game that could change up the game for Bitters who is much more a mt/wrestling type build. Should be interesting to see whether Cottingham can exert his strategy to success rather than facing defeat for the first time in his career at the expense of Bitter's comeback win.

Well that about wraps out the preliminary events of the evening. Next up we have the real treat, the main card of the evening. EP 31: Blood in the Sun has finally hit the climax of the night, the start of the main show is upon us. The sun bleeds... and soon so shall all of you.

Main Card

Fight #6: Light Heavyweight Division

Selfrid Bergman(7-4)

vs

Bray "The Outlaw" Wyatt(6-1)

Our main card of the night will start out with a 205lbs division bout featuring Selfrid Bergman(0-1 Epicity) vs Bray "The Outlaw" Wyatt(0-1 Epicity) in a fight to determine which fighter will get their first win in Epicty and which 205er will taste defeat for a disappointing second defeat in EP and falling to the unlucky 0-2. Selfid Bergman is a former veteran of the now defunct World Fighting Championship where he compiled a record of 4-3 before moving on to Epicty where he lost his debut fight by tko. While his striking game is solid it's his ground game that has become his bread and butter throughout his youth and is what he will surely be relying on to get himself back on track. He is a sensational wrestler and a brown belt in BJJ and will need every bit of that to prove himself against his opponent.

Bray "The Outlaw" Wyatt is a former Troid and Insanity veteran while fighting with his previous manager, Dick Hardwood's close friend Grant Brophy, since Grant's dismissal of Wyatt he has found new management in Eddie Roach and has since signed up with Epicity. Unfortunately for him he lost in his debut fight and will need to find some redemption at the cost of Selfrid Bergman. Bray Wyatt is the prototype of the sprawl n brawl boxing build and brings with him a destructive force of knock out power mixed with a high degree of boxing skills that make him a formidable force for anyone to face. His knock out power speaks for himself, but his opponent will look to negate it's existence with his ground game.

Should be quite the fight to open up the event and I suspect a nice finish.

Fight #7: Light Heavyweight Division

Frank "Baldy" Dozer(8-3)

vs

Boogie Knight(10-6)

The second fight on our main card features two extremely talent veterans of Epicity. Frank "Baldy" Dozer started his career going 5-0 before making his Epicity debut against Boogie Knight. He won the fight by unanimous decision and then he went on to challenge Castor's Berry Bubberman for the EP Light Heavyweight championship, losing this fight by tko in the second round. He followed up this loss to with straight wins before once again challenging for the light heavyweight title, this time against Urho Beserk but losing by tko in the 5th round with only seconds left in the fight. Dozer followed this loss with a shocker, losing to Lars Hagen by submission in the very first round. Surely this loss has lit a fire in Dozer's ass to get his career back on track and with a top manager in his corner, he should have no issues getting back to the winning side of things. Especially considering he has already beaten the man in front of him this Saturday night.

However...

The man who will be standing across from him at EP 31 will not be the same kid that losses against him all the way back at EP 6, when Boogie was still managed by EP president Dick Hardwood. Since his disappointing duo of loses against Frank Dozer and Mediu Hardon, Boogie and Dick decided it was best for both of their careers if they parted way and Boogie went on the free agent market, ending up with manage Freddy Krueger of The Bomb Squad. In an attempt to revitalize his career he tried his luck on the free agent circuit where he won three straight fights by tko before signing back with Epicity. "This time is different" Boogie said shortly before making his EP re-debut. He wasn't wrong... In his debut he knocked Charlie Cosades by punch via KO in the second round. He stumbled in his second fight back, losing to Lars Hagen in his second fight before rebounding once again against A-Rod, Alex Rodriguez. He defeated Alex by unanimous decision before deciding it was time to erase a big smudge on his record. "EP 6 was a long time ago" Boogie told a annoying reporter as he walked through a hallway to his dressing room.

A long time ago it was.

Who will win the rematch?

Dozer or Knight...

Fight #8: Heavyweight Division

Serder Serderov(7-4)

vs

Matt "The Immortal" Weston(10-3-1)

The first and only 265 fight of the evening pits two heavyweight EP veterans in a bout to determine their place in the tier listing of the heavyweight division. Serder Sederov(1-2 Epicity) is fresh off of a losing attempt at snatching away the Epicity Heavyweight championship and a chance at redemption against the man who gave him his other EP loss, Zoey Malone Jr. Serder is a striker who relies on his sensation wrestling gave to control where the fight takes place. He has blistering KO power and looked great in his other EP showing against Peter James, who he finished in the first round. Serderov spent most of his career in Heavyweight Prizefighting before changing managers for the second time and ending up in Epicity. While his chin has failed him in the past, his KO power is still deadly and he can finish the fight at any moment.

His opponent, Matt Weston(3-2 Epicity) is another dangerous striker who has prove over and over again that he has deadly power in his strikes. Matt Weston start his career as a pro kickboxer fighting in SFC and XKC before signing with Epicity Productions to start his Mixed Martial arts career. His made his MMA debut at EP 9, also losing his EP debut against former EP Heavyweight champion, Zoey Malone Jr. He followed this loss by parting ways with manager for a second time, ending up with Bobby Heyman in LOD. The Immortal went on to finish his next two opponents before losing for the second time in his MMA career in a devastating KO loss against Jacques Saint-Perrilloux, a loss which The Immortal took very personally. He took out his frustrations on his next opponent, Erasmus by KOing him with a solid right which put him back on the road of winning. He still has a lot to prove however, as does his opponent as each competitor will look to ensure themselves a spot in EP's top heavyweights. With most men possessing KO power, surely we are bound to see someone with their face down by the end of the fight.

Co-Main Event

Andy Carroll(18-6)

vs

Jeremy Jenkins Jr(7-3)

Finally, we have reached our co-main event of the evening as the KO master Andy Carroll(3-0 Epicity) takes on the ground specialist Jeremy Jenkins Jr(4-1 Epicity) in a fight that will decide each fighter's immediate future. Andy Carroll has won all of his 18 wins by (t)ko and has shown himself to be one of the priemier strikers in Epicity. After jump starting his career on the Quick Fight circuit, Andy decided to take on new challengers by joining up with Forbidden Violence. His tenure however would be short lived, going 2-0 but then moving onto UNFC where he went 2-2. After a brief stint in UNFC Carroll tried his hand in the infamous Troid where he had some mixed success. After going 3-3 with all three losses by (t)ko he decided it was time to change up his career and his manager Grant Brophy called up close friend Dick Hardwood of Epicity. He has since then gone 3-0 in Epicity with all fights ending in the first round, finishing each fight faster than the previous. He has shown to be a KO machine and has always been a huge fan favorite (ranking No. #2 in the entire company after Welterweight champion Bobby Shamrock.

His opponent has had similar success in Epicity. After losing his EP debut to Andy Barclay, Jeremy Jenkins Jr has compiled four straight wins inside the company, winning two of those fights by submission. A veteran of multiple orgs(albeit all short stays) and a participant in TWGC twice, he has a lot of experience to help close the massive amount of fight differences between both fighters. Where Carroll has proven the power of his hands, Jeremy Jenkins Jr as proven the technical prowess of his submission game, garnering up 5 wins by submission. Ground guys, if going by primaries seem to be Andy's biggest weakness and Jr will need to exploit that. Andy has shown good takedown defense in the past but Jeremy will look hard to get the fight to his world while Andy is chasing the KO. Both of these fighters are near the top of the division with Andy Carroll being the 2nd ranked 170er in Epicity.

The Main Event

World Lightweight Championship

(c)Yaniv "In The Closet" Schulmann(9-0)

vs

Joaquim "Jaquinzinho" Antunes(16-5)

We were are folks, the wait has come to an end... After a ton of words hyping up the rest of the card the time has come for us to talk about the main event of the evening. The Lightweight championship of the world is on the line as Yanic Schulmann looks to defend his title for the first game against very game challenger Joaquim Antunes. Since it's inception... The Lightweight title has built up a reputation as one of the trademark championships of Epicity Productions. It also helped that former champion Jim Miller managed to remain champion longer than anyone else in EP history, and managed to knock people out in the process. This all came to an end however when Jim Miller ended up clashing with the current champion, Yaniv Schulmann.

Yaniv "In The Closet" Schulmann is an undefeated 155 mixed martial artist who has shown nothing but dominance thus far in his MMA career. He is an extremely well rounded fighter with skills in ALL areas, his bread and butter seems to be his ground game in which he is probably the best in the lightweight division. He has fought for numerous fight organizations such as DFC, BEEF, Warzone, Evolution and meow he fights for Epicty Productions. He was one of the many blockbuster signings made by Dick Hardwood in an attempt to raise the competition to help take Epicity to the next level. In his debut fight with EP he challenged Jim Miller for the Epicity Lightweight title and defeated him in a 5 round decision. Becoming a household name in one night. Since then he has been training and has announced his plans to enter ITFL... but first he must defend his title for the first time and prove to everyone that he is indeed a champion, not just a fluke. However, at 9-0 it is next to impossible to believe that this kid doesn't have one of the brightest futures in the sport.

His opponent, Joaquim Antunes is a long time veteran of the sport, compiling 21 fights despite his young age and ID number. Out of his 21 fights, 19 of them have all taken place in SPNY with the last two taking place in the meow defunct New York Fight Nights. He has spent his entire career facing top competition, winning the SPNY Featherweight championship in only the fifth fight of his career. He ended up defending the title for an amazing FIVE times before finally losing the title to Cortez Coleman where he lost the fight by submission. He was given an instant rematch for all his success but once again lost to Coleman by yet another submission loss. He eventually would come back and win the Featherweight title for a second time. He defend the title successfully once before losing it once again during a two fight skid. He would go on to challenge for the title one last time before moving on to a different org. That org happened to be Epicity and thus, the fated match up was set. Both fighters with names almost impossible to spell right off the bat will stare each other down tonight and only one fight will leave the champion. After having so much success in SPNY Joaquim will look to gain his third world title and Yaniv will look to prove that he is for real and move on to a 10-0 record. Both fighters have different but a lot of things to prove. Both fighters have now tasted gold and only the blood in the sun can quench this sensational third for gold.

Who will stand when the dust has cleared?

Will it be Yaniv....

or will it be Joaquim...

There can only be one champion of 155.

There can only be one king.

Whose blood with paint the sun red...

Tune in tonight at 9 PM Eastern US time to find out!

EP 31: Blood in the Sun is here!!!!

Shaw Shank (1-0-0) vs Wayne Conner (3-3-0)

Our first fight of the evening pits relative newcomer to MMA Shaw Shank take on Wayne Conner.

In this fight, I expect it will be an easy enough victory for Shank. He is the more skilled fighter, and Conner has not looked convincing in his career thus far.

Prediction: Shaw Shank to win via (T)KO in Round 1

Fight #2 - Featherweight Division!

Chris Cross (6-7-0) vs Guto Silveira (17-16-0)

Next up is a Featherweight clash as Chris Cross takes on veteran Guto Silveira.

Cross is the more rounded fighter here, as Silveira relies heavily on his boxing to carry him through fights. Cross’ better overall skill set should carry him through here.

Prediction: Chris Cross to win via Submission in Round 2

Fight #3 - Featherweight Division!

Jon Hopkins (5-2-0) vs Baki Hanma (5-5-0)

Another Featherweight clash here as Jon Hopkins does battle with Baki Hanma.

Jon Hopkins is the older fighter, and his striking advantage is backed up by his wrestling advantage. Having said that, if Hanma can get it down, he has a good chance to finish, but I feel Hopkins will get the (T)KO before that.

Prediction: Jon Hopkins to win via (T)KO in Round 1

Fight #4 - Light Heavyweight Division!

Jack Shaw (5-0-0) vs Santiago Diablo (5-0-1)

A Light Heavyweight clash now as undefeated Jack Shaw takes on fellow undefeated fighter Santiago Diablo.

Realistically, this fight should have been a lot closer than it will be. Diablo is coming into this fight devoid of morale, and it should be easy for Shaw to pick him off and end his undefeated streak.

Prediction: Jack Shaw to win via (T)KO in Round 1

Fight #5 - Featherweight Division!

The Sigit (13-4-1) vs Arc Turian (10-3-0)

Our last fight on the undercard sees The Sigit fight Arc Turian in a Featherweight bout!

Going by skills, Arc Turian appears to be a favourite for this bout, but when looking closer, he is not a finisher by any stretch of imagination, while The Sigit is an accomplished Submission expert. Turian’s inability to finish fights will provide Sigit with the opportunity to take it down and lock in a finish.

Prediction: The Sigit to win via Submission in Round 2

MAIN CARD

Fight #6 - Featherweight Division!

Gio Avila (10-5-0) vs James Granger (13-9-0)

The first fight on our main card sees Gio Avila face off against James Granger in the Featherweight division.

Gio Avila is a submission specialist who has gained all of his wins via Submission. While his Striking is not at a great level, he has a decent level of Wrestling which works well in tandem with his BJJ Purple Belt. His last fight saw him make his EP debut, securing a second round submission win with a tight Arm Triangle against Guto Silveira.

James Granger is also a BJJ specialist, although he has also secured wins via (T)KO and Decision to show he is not just a one weapon man. He has the superior grappling, but he will need to be wary about potentially being caught off guard. His last bout was a TKO loss to Andrew Morgan in his EP debut, so he will be hoping to bounce back with a win here.

Prediction: James Granger to win via Submission in Round 3

Fight #7 - Middleweight Division!

Coaker Kluge (10-7-0) vs Harrison Yates (9-0-0)

Rolling on with the main card we see a Dogs of War clash here as Uncle Lar’s Coaker Kluge takes on Mello Jones’ Harrison Yates on the Middleweight Division.

Coaker Kluge is a classic sprawl and brawler, but he has the Muay Thai and BJJ to show he is no slouch outside of his own comfort zone. He has some good KO power, and also a Granite Chin, providing him with enough to stand in the pocket and trade blows with anyone. In his last bout, he defeated Lucas Pierce in his last fight at NYFN before it’s closure in a 3rd round TKO victory.

Harrison Yates is undefeated in his MMA career thus far, and many have attributed that to his advance level of Muay Thai, as he peppers his opponents from range while also working them over in the clinch. In his last bout, he secured a unanimous decision victory over Donnie Datsik in a fight where he displayed his great striking skills, as well as demonstrated some great defensive grappling to nullify his opponent.

Prediction: Harrison Yates to win via (T)KO in Round 2

Fight #8 - Welterweight Division!

Sam Rogers (20-10-0) vs Tre Spar (8-6-1)

Our last bout before the Co-Main event sees veteran Sam Rogers take on Tre Spar in a Welterweight bout.

Sam Rogers is a veteran of MMA, who has only competed in 3 fight orgs in his career, Attack Fighting League, Death Squad MMA, and now Epicity Productions! His ground game is well known, as he can make you submit, and also pound your face into the canvas if given the right situation. He lost his debut in EP in his last bout, losing a Unanimous Decision victory to Wrestlefuck Wrestling.

Tre Spar is coming into his 4th EP fight here, as he looks to move up the ranks. A well rounded fighter with nothing in particular standing out, he still knows how to win, with 7 finishes in his 8 wins. In his last bout, he suffered a swift KO loss to Andy Carroll, but he will be looking to bounce back here.

Prediction: Sam Rogers to win via (T)KO in Round 2

CO-MAIN EVENT!

Fight #9 - Lightweight Division!

Jeffrey Miller (13-6-1) vs Dorian Yates (8-2-0)

Our Co-Main Event of the evening is sponsored by GBK16’s writings. For quality and consistency, contact Grant Brophy (93477) for availability.

The Co-Main Event sees former champion Jeffrey Miller take on ITFL bound Dorian Yates.

Jeffrey Miller’s main strength is his stand up prowess. With 8 wins via (T)KO, he has shown he has the capabilities of ending his opponent’s nights early, and he has shown great improvements under his current management. Going on a 6 fight win streak, he claimed the EP title before losing it to Yaniv Schulmann in his last bout. With Schulmann also due to head to the ITFL, Miller will be looking to use this fight as an opportunity to stake his claim to the crown depending on what Dick Hardwood does in regards to the title.

Dorian Yates is currently undefeated under his manager Mike Jursllla, racking up a 5 fight win streak which has put him immediately among the upper levels of the division. His main weakness is his tendency to allow the fights to go to a decision, which could be dangerous if he is behind on the cards. Despite this, he is a solid fighter, and Miller will have his hands full trying to cope with Yates.

Prediction: Dorian Yates to win via Unanimous Decision

MAIN EVENT!

Fight #10 - Heavyweight Division! - Title Fight!

Mellow Mood © (14-3-0) vs Jacques Saint-Perrilloux (7-0-0)

Our Main Event of the evening is brought to you by Conquer Clothing - The Most Epic of Clothing Stores!

The Main Event sees a Heavyweight title clash as Mellow Mood defends his title for the first time against undefeated number one contender Jacques Saint-Perrilloux!

Mellow Mood was a recent signing to Epicity, but he had a huge crowd following from his run in WarZone, which brought him to the forefront of media attention. There was a huge scramble for him, but Epicity won out and, such was his reputation, awarded him a title shot in his first fight. He won the title from Zoey Malone Jr due to Doctor Stoppage after he opened up a nasty cut which finally bled too much in the fourth round. He is a highly skilled striker, and his grappling is no small game either as he has become an incredibly rounded MMA fighter, and he will be confident in continuing his reign and the Heavyweight champion.

Jacques Saint-Perrilloux (JSP) is also a very talented and skilled mixed martial artist. With 7 wins and no losses in his career, he has made a good start, going 5-0 under former manager Scooby Ali before being dropped, and he was then signed by current manager Gale Hawthorne, who signed him up to EP. Two dominant performances over Matt Weston and Joe Louis put him in the spotlight for a title shot, and here he is now. He has the power to trouble Mood, but he has yet to be put into any major trouble, and it may be the deciding factor in this bout if he can handle the pressure Mood will put on him.

Prediction: JSP to win via (T)KO in Round 4

That’s it for this preview of EP’s latest event! Apologies for the lateness, but I hope to have the previews done more in advance in future. It looks like it will be a great event, so be sure to keep an eye out for the results!

Just really busy being a dad and husband, that's why I have tried hiring multiple writers to try to do the load full time. Being a holiday weekend and my wife being off work the later half of the week I underestimated the free time I would have, plus we got in a fight so that is like 90% of your time right there. It's okay tho Joonas, one day you will know the struggle. #TheStruggle

Seriously sorry guys, I really wanted to finish that preview but I will convert it into a big review write up instead. And sorry to Igor for this isn't the first time EP missed events with you having multiple fighters in it. :(

I will be hiring another writer to help out with events that aren't covered.

EP35: Showdown in the Bay

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1436545523Epicity%2035.jpg

11th July 2015

Live from the Wandalay Bay arena in Las Vegas!

In association with Conquer Clothing!

Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to our preview for Epicity’s latest event, EP35: Showdown in the Bay! Following Wednesday’s epic battle for the Welterweight title, the focus now shifts to the Lightweight division as Yaniv Schulmann defends his title one last time before moving on to compete in the ITFL. He will be competing against Ossilus Chiarmanda, who makes his EP debut in this fight also. The fans are excited for this card, so without further ado, let’s kick off this preview with my predictions for the undercard, followed by the preview of the main card!

UNDERCARD

Fight #1 - Guthrum Oskar def. Pepe Lopez via (T)KO in Round 2

Fight #2 - Test Subject def. Jalmari Pullo via (T)KO in Round 1

Fight #3 - Chet Lamare def. Virgil Dreesen via (T)KO in Round 3

Fight #4 - John Hoop def. Andrey Danilov via (T)KO in Round 2

Fight #5 - Stefan Kung def. George Baba via Submission in Round 2

MAIN CARD

Fight #6 - Middleweight Division!

Ho Chi Min (5-3-0) vs Noirtier De Villefort (7-2-0)

Kicking off the main card we have a Middleweight bout that sees Ho “Noodles” Chi Min take on “The Bonapartist” Noirtier De Villefort.

Ho Chi Min is a dangerous Muay Thai and BJJ fighter who is known for finishing his opponents as well as being difficult to finish. He has spent his entire career in EP, and recently broke a 2 fight losing streak with a TKO victory in the third round against Guthrum Oskar. In addition to his style, he also has a Granite Chin which he will be hoping will allow him to time to take effect with his strikes and secure a win.

Noirtier De Villefort also possesses a Granite Chin, and he recently made his EP debut with a TKO Strikes victory early in the third round against Pepe Lopez. He has a solid record of 7 (T)KO’s from 7 victories, and the only 2 losses he suffered both came at the hands of Insanity 185lbs champion Nolan Sackett. He will be confident of winning the striking battle, while his ground defences seem to be solid.

Overall, I think De Villefort has the edge going into this fight, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Ho Chi Min came away with a win, but he will need to dictate the tempo to stand a chance I feel.

Prediction: Noirtier De Villefort to win via (T)KO in Round 2

Fight #7 - Light Heavyweight Division

Boogie Knight (11-6-0) vs Selfrid Bergman (8-4-0)

Following up that fight is a Light Heavyweight contest as Boogie Knight goes toe to toe with Selfrid Bergman.

Boogie Knight is currently 6-1 under his current Freddy Krueger and has recovered well from that solitary loss with 2 wins in a row, both via Unanimous Decision. He has a good record of (T)KO wins, with 9 of his 11 wins coming via stoppage. His BJJ and Wrestling are mostly used for his defense, as we have seen he loves to strike from range using both kicks and punches, and is no slouch inside the clinch either.

Selfrid Bergman is a grappler who is a workhorse when it comes to getting the fight to the ground and remaining active when he gets it. He recently avenged his EP debut loss to Pete McKallister with a second round TKO win over my own former fighter Bray Wyatt. He faces a much more skilled opponent in this bout however, but will really show his potential if he pulls off a victory.

Overall, I think Boogie Knight is just too sound defensively, but if Bergman can get him down, he can cause some serious damage. I expect Knight to take this though.

Prediction: Boogie Knight to win via (T)KO in Round 2

Fight #8 - Welterweight Division

Lewis Scott (13-4-0) vs Ronin Mori (9-6-0)

Our last fight of the Main Card before the Main Events is a Welterweight fight that sees former Gamasi champion Lewis Scott take on former ITFL Season 3 competitor Ronin Mori.

Lewis Scott is going into this fight with his third manager in three fights. He was sacked by manager Jacob What after suffering consecutive losses to Sinbad Sailor and Bobby Shamrock, before being picked up by Ivan Drago, who also sacked him after a win against Derek The Brave. He is a Sprawl and Brawl fighter who has good levels of Muay Thai and BJJ also. He has a great record of KO’s, with 12 in his 13 wins showing he has devastating power, and he will be relying on that in order to get a victory.

Ronin Mori is on a good run under new manager The Can Crusher, going 2-0 early on in their partnership. Mori has a Granite Chin which has kept him in contests on plenty of occasions, and it has been displayed with 0 (T)KO losses in his career. He has almost elite levels of Wrestling, and his Striking is a dangerous weapon. He has shown the ability to take a punch while continuously pressing forward, and he will be looking to that to win here.

Overall, I think Mori’s Granite Chin will be his saving grace. If he has high levels of Clinchwork, he should use it to control the action, and continuously work over his opponent with strikes.

Prediction: Ronin Mori to win via (T)KO in Round 2

Our Co-Main Event of the evening is sponsored by GBK16’s Writings. For quality and consistency, contact Grant Brophy (93477) for all your writing needs!

Our Co-Main Event of the evening is a Middleweight clash as Ricky “Sticky” Icky makes his EP debut against another debutant in Raoul De Muerta.

Ricky Icky is making his EP debut here after undergoing a bit of a transformation. After competing under the name of Carlos Hulk as a client of Moyses Mattos, he was released by Mattos and changed his name by deed poll to Ricky Icky. He got off to a winning start under Ryan Epicity’s management, with a KO finish within 2 mins against King Cult in MFN. He signed with EP, and is now competing against another fighter who used to be in NYFN, in Raoul De Muerta. Icky possesses formidable KO power, and when combined with his Granite Chin, he is a fighter with a lot of potential who will be looking to start his rise here.

Raoul De Muerta is a fighter who really packs a punch, as his 9 KO victories display. His 3 losses all came against tough competition, with all 3 of those fighters being touted as potential stars of the future. Muerta himself is a former Middleweight champion at NYFN, and decided his best move upon leaving NYFN was to sign for EP, and he is now looking to make an immediate run at the title. While his opponent has a Granite Chin, Muerta possesses KO Power that can easily crumble it.

It’s a tough contest, as both fighters have great potential. Muerta’s KO Power can easily win him the fight at any time, but Icky’s Granite Chin can keep him in the fight long enough to use his own KO power to get a win. Don’t be surprised at either guy winning here.

Prediction: Ricky Icky to win via (T)KO in Round 2

Our Main Event of the evening is sponsored by Conquer Clothing - The official merchandise partner of Epicity!

Our Main Event of the evening is a Lightweight fight for the championship as Yaniv “In The Closet” Schulmann takes on debuting title contender Ossilus Chiarmanda.

Yaniv Schulmann is one of MMA’s brightest prospects right now, being 10-0 so far in his career, he has also compete in 5 different orgs so far in his career, with this fight equalling his record for number of fights in any one specific org. His debut in Epicity saw him capture the title in a Unanimous Decision victory over Jeffrey Miller, before he defended the title successfully against Joaquim Antunes with a Submission victory. With this being his last fight before leaving for the ITFL, Schulmann will be looking to leave with a victory, and will need to be at his best to do so.

Ossilus Chiarmanda is competing for the title in his EP debut here, having signed upon the expiration of his Troid contract. Currently on a 2 fight winning streak, he has used his striking well in gaining 9 (T)KO’s in his 13 wins. A former KT champion with 2 different orgs, he is 3-2 so far in his MMA career, and will feel claiming a title in MMA as showing he made the correct decision to move over to MMA, but he faces a tough challenge in Schulmann.

Overall, I think Chiarmanda is the favourite coming into this bout, but he will need to use his striking efficiently. Schulmann can dominate fighters if he is given the opportunity, so it is up to “The Optician” to ensure he hits Schulmann hard and control the fight. However, if Schulmann can get it to the ground, I feel he can end it.

Prediction: Ossilus Chiarmanda to win via (T)KO in Round 2

That’s all from me in this Preview. Some big fights happening, and a lot of fights that will be pretty tight come fight time. Be sure to look out for the results just after 2am GMT, but for now, it’s good night from me.

Dominick De Struicao

9-2-0

Epicity 37: The Rematch was getting closer and closer, and one of the fighters on the card is Dominick. Dominick has been kept quiet since he has lost his championship belt a while back, but it seemed he was in good spirits and wanted to let out a message for his fans.

Translator: He would like to thank all the fans for their support after his title loss. He says that it was a tough pill to swallow, but that he does believe that what does not kill you only makes you stronger. HeI came back from that loss to win another fight. And now he is facing a dangerous opponent once again. He feels ready, and feels that he will walk away as the winner.

Translator: he says he has been fortunate to be fighting under a great owner in Epicity, and also thanks him for looking out for him outside the organisation. He says that It is good to still be treated like an important fighter, even if he is not a champion. He is sure he will be a champion again in the future, but reckons that when he wins his fight, He’d be looking to get another non-title match before making a push for another run as a champion. He want to make sure he is evolved more as a fighter before the spot light is back on him.

Dominick: Então, obrigado a todos os fãs e as pessoas me apoiando na minha carreira. Eu não vou deixar você para baixo no próximo combate, isso eu prometo.

Translator: He wants to say thank you to all the fans and people supporting him in his career. He will not let you down this coming fight

"Time to get my career in Epicity STARTED. I'll be watching Epicity 39 later to catch the Hopkins Atunes fight. There's a future fight for me there. And the Miller/Money fight I'll be watching that too. Not that I'm looking past Ricardo "El Guapo" Monteban this Saturday. I know what you are gonna try, so let's do this."

Dominick: E assim a viagem chega ao fim. Eu tive uma boa carreira com Epicity, mas agora é hora de seguir em frente. Boa sorte para todos os lutadores e os funcionários. Obrigado por um grande momento.

Translator: He says, And so the journey comes to an end. He had a good career with Epicity, but now it is time for him to move on. Best of luck to all fighters and the staff. And he thanks you all for a great time
