Alfred
Title Fights Week Ending Feb 24th 2019 http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1550866087empire.png Empire Lightweight Title Fight (EMP Mumu versus Arma, Empire Indoor Arena) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15130033869599.gif http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/13/13w16.jpg Abdel "Fur Coat" Mumu vs. Verneri Ahma Not many expected this to be competitive, even fewer would have predicted it be close but undefeated Empire newcomer Verneri Ahma managed to give champion and heavy favourite Abdel Mumu everything he could handle before getting caught with a counter combination late in round four. Verneri Ahma arrived in Empire as the undefeated champion of the now defunct Sydney Fights. Though highly regarded at that level there were concerns as to how well he would do against some of the more advanced fighters in Empire. He went some way to alleviate those fears after he took out Nando Vasquez by first round KO and earn a shot at the title but still, many still believed that he would be well outgunned against champion Mumu. Mumu had just come back from his super fight over at SYN where he had managed a superb decision victory over a much more experienced opponent in Pa'Akea Built. It's possible that Mumu was not entirely motivated by his first title defence opponent believing him to not to be too much of a challenge. That would undoubtedly change as the bell rang for the first round and Ahma lept into action, peppering the champion with stinging shots throughout. The second round brought more of the same and by the end of it, Ahma was up two rounds to zero. Mumu kept his composure however and in round three managed to catch Ahma with a counter right hook that wobbled the challenger a little after a minute. Ahma recovered and wasn't troubled again, even managing to take the round by most people's accounts. Coming out for round four there was a real feeling that an upset was in the air. Champion Mumu down three rounds out of five and needing a finish if he was to retain his title. It must be said that, if anybody was panicking, it wasn't Mumu as he continued to go about his business and clearly had faith that his counter heavy approach would bear fruit. A little after four minutes of the round, with Ahma largely in control, Mumu's chance came when he punished a lazy body kick with a blistering combination of punches that sent him into lala land and as quickly as that, the fight was over. A knowing Mumu strutted around the cage with his arm aloft. With his first title defence now comfortably out of the way, Mumu will once again head outside of the org this time for a showdown with Gamma's Edward Kenway. It's likely that when he arrives back a number one contender would have been decided after 17-0 Enitan Arendse and 15-3 Toshi Hijikata do battle on the 8th March. Elsewhere in the division Gennedy Golovkin is making a push up the rankings as too is Chris Boag who, though still a couple of fights away from the top, is currently on a five fight win streak. For Vernari Ahma, it was perhaps a cruel way to end things after doing so well up until the knockout but even in loss, it's possible that his stock and estimation actually went up. No longer will there be question marks about his ability to compete at this level and I for one would be absolutely shocked if Ahma wasn't able to climb the mountain once again in the future *big thanks for Rei for the SICK poster. Awesome stuff!
Mannetosen
Lol You got it ! Pekka is on a diet, desperately hunting the sixpack that has eluded him ever since he found his first bottle of Koskenkorva in the woods at the tender age of 8. Gagnon stands no chance against a hungry, desoriented Finn.

Monsieur.Camara
scrapped the 170lbs tournament? Empire should do it in my humble opinion. Steve has moved to 185 and we are offering to give up the 170 belt in order to keep the division moving and motivate these great fighters to reach their full growth. I`m not a big fan of fighters that hold double belts, it doesn`t work in real life (Chicken McGregor) and I haven`t seen it work in MMAT so far.

I though so too considering most of the top guys left in the division (Hairy Scrotum, Avraam Papadopoulos, Corban Storm etc) had only just recently lost to Steve. Some of those guys had lost twice too. And there wasn't two obvious guys to fight for the title so a tournament could have been fun and had actually just got interesting with 320k Trevor Burrows stopping 310k Hairy Scrotum in the first round. Papadopoulos should have been fighting Burrows but is instead fighting someone not in the tournament so I just wondered if it had been scrapped? imcool
Empire Welterweight Championship Tournament As some may already know, Empire welterweight star and MMATycoon p4p no.3 Chris Steve will be vacating his 170lbs belt in order to pursue further glory in the middleweight ranks. Without any obvious stand out contenders to step up it has been decided that a tournament will take place to crown a new champion. The internal announcement was open to any and all current Empire welterweights and now those that answered the call will now meet in a single elimination tournament with the winner taking home a bonus 500k as well as being crowned the new king of the Empire welterweight division. The draw has been completed and the first round will take place on the 24th March 2018 (https://challonge.com/n8248ff8) QUARTER FINALS Hairy "Turtle" Scrotum (17-6) (Former ABW Welterweight Champion, Former Empire No.1 Contender and Title Challenger) vs. Trevor Burrows (10-5) (Former NJMMA Title Challenger) Avraam Papadopoulos (14-4) (2x Empire No.1 Contender and Title Challenger) vs. Timiko Chen Lo (12-4) (Former TBD Welterweight Champion) Corban "The Wolf" Storm (15-7) (Former PFF Welterweight Champion, KFC Title Challenger, Former Empire No.1 Contender and Title Challenger) vs. Marco Alvado (8-3-1) (GPG Title Challenger) Marciano "Crusty" Cobb (15-5) (2 x Former Empire Middleweight Champion) vs. "Shameless" Frank Gallagher (11-7) (Former GFO Welterweight Champion, Empire Welterweight Title Challenger) Ok guys, there was a bit of a confusion between the management. We're going to wait for the Papa fight on the 6th and then book the next round of the tournament. Sorry!!

Shards
That may have been my fault. I just accepted the fight without checking the dude and just assumed he was my next fight in the tourney It was my fault, Alex covered the set up for the events this month and I wasn't in the know regarding the tournament so I booked him without knowing the difference, it was a mistake generated on my end.
