Glory Crown Grand Prix

Round 1 starts this Sunday. Goodluck to all of our competitor's in the field! Detailed Preview of round 1 in the preview section!
The current up to date bracket is at the following website.
http://challonge.com/np0qdadl

Title Fight Announcement

I would like to announce that on the 23rd of December current Heavyweight champion Caul Rogba will face the former DSOF kingpin John Braddock in his first defence of his title. Goodluck to both fighters!

Location of the first show of the New Year

Where among the locations we have not visited should we visit? Amsterdam? Montreal? New York? Las Angeles? Where do you think we should go first?

Fighter Cuts (p4p 6k+)

After the New Year we will be cutting fighters over 6k in p4p rankings. Fighters who are currently signed with us and are over 6k must win there first fight in order to stay. With the abundance of 320k and 325k orgs atm it would be best to let lower hyped fighters regroup and get their careers back on track in NJMMA , Rise, IFC, and a couple others that have sprung up or possibly get back on track through qfc.

New ID Policy

In an effort to begin expanding our competitive reach beyond the 320k limitations I am laying Down new policies regarding ID restriction within the org. If you have any issues or concerns with any of these ideas please feel free to contact me so we can at the very least talk about the issue at hand. I value everyones opinions and have already shaped the org with suggestions and ideas from managers within the org.

317+ ID Policy (Island Fighter Policy)

We will be allowing fighters from the island with 317k + range in ID to participate within EPGH. Fighters must be within the orgs current skill level (take a look at our top fighters and projects and you should get an idea.) We are allowing fighters within these specifications to join because, there's a decent gap in competition between a normal 315k fighter and an island 317k fighter, along with the lack of 315k orgs these fighters don't really have too many options in way of real competition that would have an opportunity to fight in a division with fighters in a similar skill level, and be able to challenge for a title.

318+ Id Policy (non island creation)

We will be loosening our ID restriction to allow 25 year old creation fighters 318+ to join our org (fighters under 320k need to be within the orgs current skill range and will be looked into prior to being offered a contract) as of now we still won't allow any projects (16-19) under 320k within the org.
Over time our restriction will slowly be taken away as the skills of the fighters under our umbrella will improve, so must the challenges we give them.
With these new guidelines we hope to continue improving the orgs overall competition.

325k+ Id Policy

Due to the current state of growth within the org I would like to inform that EPGH will not be signing any 25 year old creation fighters over the 325k restriction. 16-18 year old creations over 325k are still welcome but must have a winning record outside of EPGH prior to being given a contract. Highly recommend joining Rise with any fighters over 325k regardless of creation age.

● EPGH 3: Wonder vs Rogba Review

What an amazing event! This event might prove to be a big turning stone in the history of EPGH as we registered our first event rating of over 100 with a rating of 109! This launched us from fringe top 40 org to a top 35 org that plans to grow considerably in the coming weeks and possibly enter the top 20 sometime around February. Though the prelims were relatively quite and featured a few names that will be featured prominently in future cards many of whom launched themselves into the top ten within their division and possibly earned themselves spots on the main cards rather than the prelims. Overall the weekend was a complete success but here's the fights that made the biggest impact in the title landscapes of each division.

Main Event Wonder vs Rogba Inaugural Heavyweight Title Fight

This matchup didn't disappoint as it brought In the coveted Fight of the Night Award bonus of 1k to each fighter. Which was a nice surprise as Wonder came into the fight struggling to make weight but overall didn't effect his performance much in the first round . Though that changed very quickly in the second round as once the men came together and started to swing Wonder got clocked with a title winning left hook from Rogba bringing his night to an end and starting the Rogba reign atop the EPGH Heavyweight Division. Not soon after it was announced that Rogba will be facing former Dutch Series of Fighting Heavyweight Champion John Braddock on the 23rd of December at EPGH 4: Rogba vs Braddock.

Caul Rogba Next Title Defence: John Braddock 12/23/17
Muffin Wonders next fight: N/A

Co-Main Event Lancaster vs Bohac

Inaugural Welterweight Title Fight
In a back and forth submission battle where it looked like both men would squirm on the ground trying trying to lock in that fight clinching submission for an entire 5 round championship fight. Based on that it would be easy to assume this fight was a bore and if you were to take my opinion I would say yes. This fight was a bore, but that didn't stop James Lancaster from sinking in that final submission attempt after what seemed like an infinite array of back and forth attempts to get one another to tap. Congratulations to James Lancaster to pulling off the victory in a battle that could have gone either way but unfortunately Bohac was the guy who came away tapping out.

James Lancaster Next Title Defence: N/A
Martin Bohac Next Fight: Jason Bridges 12/23

EPGH 3 Prelims Main Event Page vs Worthington

Brad Page win like he's won in his last two bouts by way of tko this time at the expense of the popular Reese Worthington who is now on a 2 fight losing skid including his lone foray into Kickboxing. Regardless Brad Page has shown his worth in his first 3 EPGH contests and has firmly established himself among the best heavyweights currently in EPGH. Look out Caul Rogba, John Braddock Brad Page may be coming for you!

Other Big Winners Include

Mikael Joshua who won his 3rd straight EPGH fight

James Jang who won via armbar within 28 seconds to win a sub of the night bonus. Very impressive.

Kimbo Ferguson Jr beat a very solid Yushin Sakuraba to get another W in the win column after losing his previous fight.

Jason Bridges won with a vicious Head Kick to bring his record to 4-0 and win KO of the Night Honors

Gregg Doolo got a finish resulting in his 6th victory, and his next fight will be at this weekends Kickboxing event. Goodluck on the quick turnaround!

Hungarian Hotdog and Greek God both won improving to 3-0 and continue to rise up there divisional ranks.

Tom Blackmore who thrusted himself into the Bantamweight title picture with a win during the prelims.

The rest of the winners from this weekend include: Muhammad Khairullah, Randall Cobb, Big Rodmanshaq, Antonio Semu, Nathan Boudreaux, Sylvester Stallion, Max Paddy, Jim Norwood, and Marshall Taylor.
Congratulations to all of our winners and to the losers better luck next time!

EPGH Divisional Rankings

These rankings rank each division by how strong each division is from top to bottom. This is determined by record, average p4p ranking, and overall competitiveness. These rankings have an overall effect on the p4p rankings.

1. Heavyweight
2. Middleweight
3. Light Heavyweight
4. Bantamweight
5. Lightweight
6. Welterweight
7. Featherweight

November Rankings Overview

Signing of many key figures within DSOF really improved the quality of competition throughout the divisions. By far the biggest effected was the Heavyweight Division of which has become the premiere division within the org. This is reflected by having 2 of the top 3 fighters within the org currently within the division, middleweight though quite far behind due to the sheer depth of the heavyweight division the middleweight division also boasts 2 top 10 p4p fighters as well. And though the Light Heavyweights highest ranked fighter is at 9 the overall competition is very strong and once a champion is crowned I'm sure whoever it is will rise in the rankings. At the bottom is the Featherweights as despite the impressive showing from Ricky Thompson the rest of the division is still lagging, hopefully the signing of Damen Mayer is a turning point and can get this division off the bottom.

● Noob Message
I am writing this down here at the bottom to any noob who may just so happen to read this and could possibly use some guidance in their Tycoon Career and could use some tips and tricks.

First Get a mentor, a mentor can give you more detailed help on the ins and outs of the game and generally coach you through the rough patches and steep learning curve this game has.

If you can't get a mentor or choose to not have one I implore you to go to the following section in the Tycoon forum.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showforum=30

Ask questions! I generally won't ignore you if you PM me directly with a question regarding the game and I generally love to help people. Also don't be shy to ask questions in the forum.

Cancel all auto flights, they kill your energy and morale prior to fights while teleporting to and from fights is free and has zero side effects. You'll be notified through mail by the Tycoon Team of an auto flight being scheduled and once it's scheduled go to the maps section, then go to scheduled flights, then cancel any flights that have been scheduled.

Buy and change clothes is one of the main ways to keep morale up. After a loss change clothes everyday after a loss to quickly regain morale to 90% then periodically thereafter. Keep clothes condition over 130 at least. Magic Whites suck

Great writeup I love reading these! EPGH will be a top org real soon.

I loved that you mispelled "Sitsongrit" in the previous writeup it made it even more realistic as western media outlets/orgs/fans often mispell thai names (granted I don't think there's a standard translation from thai to western languages - people just transcript what they hear from the thais that's how "Kongnapa" becomes "Gonnapar" or "Kaew" becomes "Geo" when they fight in Japan)

Deklek Sitsongrit (322089)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33b9.jpg

Like most fighters from Thailand, Deklek Sitsongrit is a veteran at age 26. He started fighting at 8 years old and from then he showed such a knack for the art of muay thai, he was often matched up against older, much bigger opponents - that's how he earned his fight name "Deklek" which means "Small Child".

He has no idea how many fights he's had or what his record is but the headcoach at Sitsongrit Gym in Bangkok says he cannot have less than 500 fights: "When he came to us he was 12 years old and he was already supporting his family with the money he made from fighting. Then he fought at least twice a month for almost ten years". Although after winning the Lumpinee Stadium title at 130 pounds he became quite lazy and looked completely shot in his last fights in Thailand.

When he was coming up Deklek became a staple of the Kiatpetch promotion fighting across several weight classes as the "Small Child" filled up into his frame and even became big for thai standards. He debuted at Lumpinee at 14 years old at the 100 pounds division and was a contender at several weight classes but he never got a title shot due to both his camp's lack of connections and to his tendency to lose key matchups against stronger clinch fighters who posed big trouble for his muay fimeu fighting style (well rounded, technician fighter).

Only when the crossfit frenzy invaded Thailand and several top fighters fell to knee injuries Deklek finally put together an undeniable win streak of seven wins in a row including a legendary spinning elbow KO against former champion Chaisaen which earned him a title shot at the 130 pounds division.

Wyop_8.gif

Deklek became the 130 pounds Lumpinee champion in 2012 with a dominating performance against the younger Lukpeenoi but after that he had trouble getting motivated and resorted to fighting mostly on international shows where he would often score highlight reel KOs without putting much effort:

http://www.mma.tv/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/3.gif

He didn't look too good in his last Stadium fights and was semi-retired when Mr. Theksit Ruengruong offered him a coaching gig at the Sitsongrit Gym affiliate in Rio de Janeiro. After a few training sessions he developed an itch to scratch and with the money involved in MMA he couldn't refuse taking the fights Mr. Ruengruong offered him. He rocked his first opponent within a few seconds with a right hook but fell prey to a hail mary takedown and subsequent rear naked choke. After that he signed with the Dutch Series Of Fighting promotion and scored two dominant wins that earned a title shot against highly touted prospect Taz McKane.

Deklek vs. McKane was a sloppy fight where both fighters barely landed anything but Deklek avoided his opponent suffocating ground game and won a majority decision becoming the DSOF LW champion.

Since then Deklek vacated the title in order to take place in EPGH's long awaited KT Glory Crown Grand Prix in which he will again be in a serious size disadvantage just like when he started fighting as a kid.

  • 2 weeks later...

Omg it has been an amazing last few weeks in the ring for all of our fighters in EPGH if your reading this you must be asking yourself.

JAY WHERE THE FUCK IS THE WEEKLY ALOHA! THAT'S THE BEST PART OF THE ORG MAN!

Or somewhere on the lines of that or you just don't give a fuck which is cool cause admittedly so the Aloha is 50% nonsense most of the time (Even I admit).

It's Christmas plain and simple.

Idk if anyone has ever been in an e-fed (Lot's of writing like 5× more writing per week than even the most in demand preview writer here.) But this is generally when e-feds take a break to essentially let the batteries recharge.

After the new year I plan to resume running the org as I normally do as it's also pretty good that I take a step back to avoid getting burnt out.

I also won't be nearly as active but bet your ass you'll get the standard same day reply as usual. (I try to reply within an hour generally but things happen)

i used to be in an efed for wrestling and even be a results writer and a whole lot goes into that because essentially i am making the written results like we have but more specialized to give each character more life. thats why when i was dding previews for ifc it came naturally to give people more life and make them seem like they exist because to us they do in a way. very big week in epgh and i think soon it will pick up even more. island is getting over soon and i just signed my island fighter who was seed 1 going into the tournament but had an unforunately sad ending round 2. cant wait to see who else makes the leap over to here.

Kabala "The Wizard" Magaluff (320004)

"Magaluff in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Rockwell looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Magaluff turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!"

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/35/35b1.jpg

Varun Khumar (322479)

Magaluff throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Magaluff throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

And that's the end of the fight!

Varun Khumar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

I think Khumar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That sucks! it's no doubt one of the worst things that can happen in this game. The second event fell apart too.

Jay has been a great guy so far so we should all give him the benefit of the doubt but an org owner just can't let that happen. My inactivity clause kicked in already so I'll contact him and give him a few more days but after that I'm gone.

before i got kicked from lod, lod members got an e mail for jay asking if anyone wanted to take over the org because he might not be playing much longer. chances are everyone has to wait to leave at this point which sucks but is what it is i just wish he told everyone not just his aliance. mike murphy took a fight that i couldnt win just for egph so i got one fight in the org vs the top hyped in that divsion just to lose and now have to wait to find a new org from him. jose the blitz will also need to find a new org but with him sucking and ranked 200 p2p it will easy to find an org that wants him for the hype. im not jay so i cant tell you if he will be back at all but i got that message the day before i was kicked from lod and have not seen him since so for all i know he has already quit the game.

Thanks for sharing that info mate. I'm already taking offers for my fighters who are signed to EPGH in that case: Yodsawan (322135) and Deklek (322089) - both can walk away from their contracts right away. this was such a cool org, what a shame...

Jay was one of the most vocal guys against Fake Phoenix and blatant cheating in the game I guess he got tired of it and ran away. so if Mike wants to favor multi accounters and cheaters over legit new players then he might want to demand that the multis pay for at least 4-5 VIP accounts 'cause as it is he's earning money on one hand and losing money on the other.

that sucks that hes leaving :( but how do i get my fighter to leave?

you don't. you'll have to wait your inactivity clause to kick in or the contract to expire. if you're new take that as a lesson and don't sign contracts with long clauses. it's a huge no-no. if the org is serious they won't even bother having to offer short clauses 'cause they'll do their job and the clause won't even kick in.

Again my apologies I didn't notice he was gone I've been busy outside the game

Edit: just looked and sadly I don't have permission to book events. I'm so sorry guys

Edit edit: I do have permission to release fighters so if you would like to be released please pm me and I will do it asap.

Thank you again guys

No mate, that is bullshit. Jay was pissed at the Blake situation but it honestly did not affect him. Blake picks up seasoned fighters to fight at that other org, at no point did this touch a 320k org.

Running an org is a lot of work and affects a ton of managers. I have always been 100% against new managers starting orgs even though some of us have pulled this off.

To me this sounds more like Jay got overwhelmed with the game and tucked tail. He could have asked for help, Raichu has been very clear about his interest in helping from day 1 , the community would have helped to keep a much needed 320k org afloat (the one in Hamsterdam closed too).

188 fighters get fucked. I hope Jay at least comes back to release them, it is not difficult. For all we know he is reading this. Just do the right thing Jay and then politely fuck off.

Yes Fake Cheatnix certainly didn't affect his org but he sounded really upset with the bending of the rules.Regardless I agree he fucked up big time. he knows very well how him just vanishing affects these hundreds of fighters and who knows how many managers.

What strikes me the most if the lack of consistency from people these days. The man paid VIP money and spent months building an org from the ground, writing huge essays and being very active then one day he tucks tail and vanishes. if I'd put that much effort into anything it would take me at least another few months to give up on it. You can't trust people to keep a state of mind for two straight days in our age.

I wish that Jay gave me the permissions needed to keep the org running in his absence but sadly I cant do anything except sign and release.

I will be leaving the EPGH staff today. Before I go I took the liberty of releasing all current active fighters. The inactive fighters will remain and should Jay ever reappear he has a roster big enough to book events again should those fighters become active again.

Thank you all for being awesome.
