  1. Congrats to Mr. Diaz. I wanted Tillet to KO him so I did go for it aggressively, which left me with next to no energy in later rounds. Unfortunately for Tillet Mr. Diaz can take a punch rather well.
  2. In the mean time Lucas "HULK" Barbosa just became champion of both 185 lbs and 205 lbs divisions. Rumour is he thinks he can submit both Dian and Tillet.
  3. Icon Management press release december 2021 After having gone through some restructure Icon Management is happy to announce return of it's roster of professional MMA fighters. At this point of time CEO of Icon Management Mr. Partial Differential Equation King would like to take this opportunity to thank Highland organization for being patient and understanding of the situation. Current Highland overall rankings are here: 1 Noel Diaz 2 Lucas Barbosa 3 Maurice Tillet With these rankings in mind following changes will be in effect immediately: Higland icon and 170 LBS champion Maurice "CRUSHER" Tillet will be moving up one division. He has managed to clear out his division and while only realistic challenger Mr. Adam Shalashaska is certainly an elite fighter, he already had both his title shot and a second title shot or should I we call it rematch. Maurice Tillet is looking for a new challenge and will try his skills at next weight division at 185 lbs. Prior to moving up in weight Maurice "CRUSHER" Tillet will take on overall number one ranked fighter Noel Diaz. Result of this match will have no impact on Tillets decision to move up. Just to shake off some ring rush Mr. Tillet recently defended his title forcing his opponent to give up. Mr. Tillet welcomes this challenge from Mr. Diaz. Highland icon and 185 lbs champion Lucas "HULK" Barbosa will be moving up one division. He has managed to clear out his division and is looking for new challenges. His new home will be 205 lbs division. Prior to moving up Lucas already defended his current title just to shake off any ring rust. He submitted his opponent in round 1. Next he is facing 205 lbs division champion Sergey VinoGradov for 205 LBS title. Here is what Mr. Maurice Tillet has to say about this situation: Tillet: 170 lbs division is a tough division. I cleared it out and am moving up now. No offense to my team mate Lucas Barbosa but to me it seem 185 lbs division just seems to lack quality. I suppose we will find out soon enough. For example we have Noel Diaz moving up to 170 lbs. Diaz seem has to be a brave man to do such thing because I think everyone including he knows there are some real monsters lurking in 170 lbs division. For example Adam Shalashaska is a man Diaz just can not beat no matter what. I just don't care. Even if Diaz somehow manages to get lucky and wins against me I will still think the same: Adam Shalashaska is someone you can NEVER beat Diaz. 170 lbs division is home of some real monsters so think again and run home boy. Here is what Mr. Lucas Barbosa has to say about this situation: Barbosa: I suppose Tillet has a point. I expected a bit more from my own weight division too. You have few promising guys such as Mike Ziskie but then you go and find they have all lost matches they should have won. To me 205 lbs division looks similar to 170 lbs division. 205 division is filled with some real monsters like Torhte "Gingy Bear" Finlayson. I'll try to get the title, defend it against 2-3 absolute top monsters of said division and then move up again if I manage to stay undefeated. Should I lose there will be rematches, title challenges, title defenses and all the fun, which comes up with that. I suppose it is the same with Maurice. I think if he wins he will just crush few top guys real fast and then move on to next weight division. Also this Diaz guy needs to tone his talk down. I see he is submission artist. The thing is... I am better submission artist so he needs to tone it down or I will hunt him down. Ladies and gentlemen this is all we have time for today so please enjoy the coming fireworks so to speak.
  4. I would like to participate if there is still room.
  5. Both Tillet and Lucas Barbosa are back on track. Highland WW title match - Maurice Tillet vs Dick Winters Tillet came out fighting rather carefully expecting his opponent to rely on submissions. Dick Winters fought well on the ground using careful positioning and not really going for the subspam. Taking this into account, perhaps Tillet was being little bit too careful and as such passive. As rounds went by Tillet started to take control of the match and ended up KOing Winters. This being said Winters gave Tilllet a tough match. Highland Champ vs IXF Champ - Lucas Barbosa vs Siale Veainu This fight went pretty much like I expected it to go. Siale had one chance called puncher chance. Being close to UFC 1 type of match Lucas Barbosa took down his striker opponent and submitted him. Round 1 but not by arm bar.
  6. So day 1 you improve and day 2 you regress. Is this working as intended? Jari Laitila (20) 2021-08-27 Strength XXX,A XXX,B C Jari Laitila (20) 2021-08-26 Strength XXX,B XXX,A D
  7. ok bunch of 150 cm hulked up midgets with GnP and subs incoming from me then just to figure this out.
  8. Actually I just noticed 150 cm is as low as you can go.
  9. By the way I got too many fighter so I had to sack a bunch.
  10. Since Balin was able to take his opponents down at will I do wonder if this min maxing height thing would mean optimal set up for GnP or submission fighter is to just be a midget. How low in height can you really go? 100 cm? Even less?
  11. This season and my first season of Island is over now. While I am satisfied with my own performance having been able to test different sliders setting and their effect on actual matches I have been starting to wonder about fighter height and just how much of an effect does it have. Here is what mmatycooninfo states about height: "Taller people will have a natural reach advantage and in turn will have more chance of landing strikes when in the standup position. However, they are also easier to take down and easier to sub because of their lanky limbs. Basically anything you'd expect in real life." I suppose this is in relation to your opponents height. It would not make a whole lot sense any other way. However does this not open the gates of min maxing your fighter in a way you get "unrealistic" results. Here is recent example from The Island: Balin Trollslayer https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=373423 Rather nice idea from his manager and move power to him. Fantastic fighter and great manager. this being said... So here you have 150 cm "tall" HW fighter. Basically a midget who happens to weight 265 lbs. Now obviously he will always be much shorter than his opponent so according to wiki he should have easier time to both take down and sub his opponents. Now if we take a look at actual results on his matches we can see that he had absolutely no issues taking his opponents down. In fact he could take all and everyone down to ground at will. His opponent never had a chance to landing any punches etc. Too bad he was not also submission expert so I can not see what his sub% would have been. Anyway it would seem effect of height difference seems to be significant and meaningful. So what is the deal here? Want to have a GnP or submission expert guy? Just do something like 100-160 cm to min max the fighter.
  12. My predictions: FINAL - WELTERWEIGHT Maurice Tillet (14-2) Vs Kwasi Kwong (13-0) Tillet started his career strong and made it reasonable far before losing. In truth he should have no even made it that far due to errors in his strategy, which stem from inexperience of his manager. Luckily he is able to take a punch and thus survived that period of time. While on paper it is clear Kwasi Kwong looks like a better skilled fighter it would be wrong to count Tillet out. He has the chin and is quite self confident. This seems to be receipt for success. In this fight obvious problem for Tillet are wrestling skills of his opponent. On paper Kwong should be able to keep the fight standing. It remains to be seen if he really can do this or even chooses to do so. Who knows maybe he wants to showcase his ground skills. Either way if this fight hits the ground Tillet should be able to take it. Balin Trollslayer (13-1) Vs Marko Kerr (10-4) Marko Kerr should not be fighting at this level. It took some serious Slider Fu to drag him out of the pit he dug for himself. Now all of sudden he has a chance to become HW champ of entire Island. His opponent is strange midget straight out of fantasy literature. This entire fight comes down to, which of the two fighters can take GnP punch better. Even as his manager I do not trust Marko to be able to do this.
  13. Well played Xyel. I gave Honkanen 60% SHIG but I think he would have needed to use more methodical approach together with that SHIG. Then again maybe he just got outclassed.
  14. After action report from me: 1. I gave Honkanen 60% SHIG. Maybe more methodical approach together with 60% SHIG would have worked better. This remains to be seen. 2. Since Gallahad is a sub spammer I decided to take that into account and adjusted my strategy. I suppose more tweaks are needed as it went to the distance and Tillet did not try and land enough GnP. 3. Kerr. Well with this one I just decided to try to crush the opponent from get to go. I did not want Kerr to respect his opponent. This time it worked regardless of the Granite chin from opponent's ToT.
