  4. I think that the changes that ultimately over-emphasize age will encourage more ID hiding. ID Hiding: Only fighting in ID restricted Orgs, despite having the appropriate skills to fight any and all challengers. Does this game really need more roadblocks to top fighters fighting each other? It is already one step away from professional boxing...
  5. So the top achievement of the greatest bantamweight of all time is a cage war fight league title? Lol...
  6. What the hell is a chuckle berry handshake?
  7. "So, in general it would be basically no "maintenance" time sytem. No faffing about. None of that. You could leave your guys not training for a while and know that you could get back up to the max levels fairly quickly." This was the part of the initial post which I was referring to. I asked the question because in the current system, I estimate it will take me 9 months to get back to a level to where my fighter could even compete. If he could get back to that level at all. I think we could all agree that would not be defined as "fairly quickly". So, if this new system were to change that, as the quote suggested, I would like to fight some of my guys again. If their decline had come through an intended game process, I would have no problem with it. However, "ticker death' due to inactivity was not the intended outcome. It was ticker death through a natural aging/injury/fighting process. It's also rough having a roster full of aged fighters that fell victim to ticker death. It would take 5 months, or a bunch of money to cut them all. That's why I wanted to know more about the aforementioned quote.
  8. I don't have time to read 36 pages, so I'm sorry if this has been covered. I have a few guys that got owned by tickers, because I was inactive. I would like to fight them again, but it won't be feasible to fight them again under the current system until about September. If I understand correctly, this new system will make it so my fighters will be able to get back up to the general skill level in a reasonable amount of time? I would be in favor of that system, if that is the case. The point of tickers was never "ticker death". It's stupid that great fighters have to retire because their manager had to go inactive. Alex Vargas wants to fight again...
  9. Rio De Janeiro has long been a part of this game, and it was a great city a long, long time ago. During its glory days, Rio housed historic orgs such as AFC, Blitz Rio, and RHOE... ...Then came the crime. The crime darkened the streets of Rio, and soon neither tourists nor fighters from other cities wanted to visit..... ....Then Jacky came..... .....Sadly, to this day the criminals and Jacky continue to elude the authorities..... ............With its numbers and prospects dwindling, this once great city now stands as the barren wasteland of the MMATycoon world. So today, I am here to ask a question. Why do we need it? What good is it? Does anyone even know? I propose we jettison that part of Brazil into the sea, Escape from LA Style, and never think about that Den of Vipers again. P.S. Congrats to UVT for being open 3 years. I think it's the second oldest Org in the game, everyone forgets about it though because it's in Rio. Big Boy deserves a better city.
  10. Wow. I call shenanigans on that. If that's legal I'm going to go to everyone's house I know, and rebuild my roster like this guy.
  11. My main issue with tickers is that is does nothing to introduce fighter diversity, nor does it effectively stop people from pulling an elite/elite/elite/black. The problem I would have implementing this is that there is no assurances that this would solve those two main issues. The only thing I could see this change really introducing, is that once fighters start to reach 35, they will start becoming ineffective. I really don't see the point in that, as 35 year olds are not the problem in this game. There are sensational/sensational/wonderful/brown 22-23 year olds - so why do we need to attack the elderly? I don't throw this word around very often, but tickers are definitely a quagmire. All of these over complicated and 'objectiveless' solutions aren't going to fix any of the problems. Plus to top it all off, your solution doesn't begin to address time consumption - which is a huge ticker issue. So three major ticker issues: Fighter diversity - no Maxed fighters - maybe (they won't be when they hit 35 anyways, but before that?) Time consumption- no What I really see this change doing is stopping fighters from becoming dominant for long periods of time. I don't think this is the issue that needs to be addressed. There is no solution for tickers - just removal. A total skill cap is the only way the issues that tickers attempted to correct, will be fixed.
  12. I'll join if you still have room.

    Tickers

I don't see the point of this. Tickers already do not stop fighters from going elite/elite/elite/black. So if you make them easier, you might as well take them out. The point of tickers and aptitude was to create fighter diversity. I don't like tickers at all, but this just makes them pointless. While they do slow the ascent into the near max guy, they do not stop it. It feels like this way they would be in the game just for the sake of it. So why not just remove them completely?
