Indomitable Wills II

Next event to take place is this coming Saturday when 2 belts are up for grabs in the 265lb and 135lb weight classes. The main event is the 265 division stand off between Hyon & Budo with Hyon the current holder in this calls when winning against Punch Drunk in late August. THe second title bout is between Laperierre and Machida with the title belt up for grabs from the current holder Generic Guy.

265lb Title Fight

"Underdog" Seol Ki Hyon Thay "Sleeping Pill" Budo

Record 5-0-1 (W-L-D Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15286846848534.png

Current holder Hyon is really going to have to pull out a great performance to beat the undefeated animal Budo who is on a 7 win hot streak and has destroyed all the opponents that he has encountered to date. He is the current holder of the 205lb division and has successfully defended this title on 2 occasions and has been catapulted to this weight class to see if a bigger man can put some manners on him! Hyon is no pushover with 5 wins and a draw to his name and is a fan of getting in close to use his ability in the clinch which is similar to Budo although Budo can stay out of the clinch and is an excellent standup fighter and has real KO power. Budo has ended all but one of his fights within one minute and the longest it took him to win was 2.34mins which is still not a long time. Hyon in comparison has had to go the distance twice and tends to not finish opponents as quickly as Budo. Tale of the tape on this one show Budo to be much better boxer and wrestler but with Hyon shading it in the MT department. SHould be a good fight but can see Budo wearing 2 belts at the end of the night on Saturday!

135lb Title Fight

Ian Laperrierre Lyodo "Karate Kid" Machida

Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14736963834875.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31w45.jpg

There will be a new title holder of the 135 lbs no matter what on Saturday after this fight with both these lads looking to go home with the heavier kitbag! Laperrierre is undefeated to date and has shown some great moves in previous fights when winning 3 fights of the nights awards. Laperrierre loves throwing punches and is a great brawler and can fight equally well in the clinch or when standing off the clinch. He has won 3 of his five fights by decision so he has the legs and heart to go the distance with anyone. Machida is not a great striker but can be lethal in GnP so Laperrierre will no doubt be trying to keep this fight off the canvas. Machida has 4 wins under his belt with only one loss coming before he joined JAG. There is not much in the difference between these fighters with Laperrierre shading the boxing, MT and wrestling departments but Machida is the much better BJJ specialist than Laperrierre. This has the hallmarks of another fight of the night and both these fighters are very good operators and deserve to be getting this shot at silverware.

Punch Drunk AKimbo "Dual Blade" Cutt

Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32b11.jpg

Punch is an interesting fighter and his only defeat to date was to the current 265 title holder Hyon (see earlier preview) which is no disgrace. He is a fantastic striker and has won all his fights by way of some shape of a punch with one strike, his ability to stay on his feet and use his fists to great effect has been the reason for his success to date. He is however coming up against a very good boxer in Cutt who also has a great record when it comes to wins by way of Strikes and/or punches, funnily enough Cutt’s only defeat to date was also against Hyon! Cutt is very accurate with his punches and doesn’t tend to miss so Drunk’s defence better be good to withstand the potential onslaught! Drunk while loving to punch it out is way better than Cutt in the wrestling category while Cutt is the much better boxer so maybe Punch might have to change his tactics for this fight and use his superior GnP to better effect as if he goes toe to toe with Cutt, Cutts better boxing ability might work against him.

Drogovan "The Strangler" Skrtic Finnick Skywalker

Record 4-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w11.jpg

Skywalkers last fight when he was upended in under a minute by his aggressive opponent who came out swinging, however he does have 2 wins to his name with one going to a decision when he threw a remarkable 200 punches in the clinch to win by unanimous decision. He has better MT and slightly better wrestling than his opponent on Saturday which he will no doubt use to good effect. Skrtic is coming off the back of 2 title fights losses when beaten twice by Wendel ins less than minute on both occasions, both of these losses coming by way of punches. All his wins have come by way of submissions and he has very good takedowns so if Skywalker wants to win he will need to keep this fight standing or in the clinch where he will have the upper hand.

Odds available with my bookies if you feel the need for a flutter.

Also if anyone wants to get a morale & energy boost by flying Private I have recently purchased a top of the range private jet and can make available to anyone interested in getting some morale boosts and indeed if anyone wants to move base with minimal morale loss moving by private jet can reduce this. If anyone is interested drop me a PM

Good luck to all the fighters and managers

Initiation II

Next battle on the books takes place in London on Saturday night with 2 titles on the line again the 170 and 145 lbs divisions.

Top of the bill is the 170 lb title bout between Alexandre and Wendal.

Tiago Alexandre Mathias Wendel

Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-2-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b2.jpg

Alexandre is the holder of the title at present but it’s been a see saw battle between himself and Wendel with Wendel holding the title twice before losing to Alexandre in the middle of September last. Wendel’s last defeat was to Alexandre when losing the title when beaten by way of submission by Alexandre. Wendel is really keen to get what he feels is “his” title back and this adds some a real edge to this fight! Wendel tapped out the last time but will be keen to take Alexandre down on Saturday. Wendel’s previous wins were by way of KO Punches so when Alexandre took him to the canvas in their last fight he made light work of Wendel when winning in less than 2 minutes. Wendel if he can keep the fight standing has a huge advantage in boxing and MT and knows how to KO opponents but if Alexandre gets him to the ground again early he is in trouble as Alexandre has much superior BJJ and has won all his previous fights by Submission or Decision. If Wendel can keep Alexandre on his feet he will win this in the first round but if not who knows what will happen !

Next title bout is the 145 lb division fight between Stallone and Point, Stallone is defending his title for the first time on Saturday

Frank "Rocket" Stallone Brayden Point

Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w10.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15322662702091.jpeg

In his first defence of his title Stallone has a real challenge on his hands when trying to defeat Point who is 5-0 to date and with 4 wins by TKO Strikes with one submission, so he can adapt when needed to changing situations in fights. Point tends to be a counter fighter and waits to see what happens before pouncing, he beat a solid fighter in Sedlacek in his last bout and Sedlacek certainly knows how to take a punch. Point tends to like punching his opponents, either in the clinch or at distance as is equally lethal at both methods! Stallone is the opposite and has 3 wins by submission with a TKO Punch as well for a bit of variety. Stallone looks a little bit tired and this might affect him should the fight not end quickly! Stallone spent most of his last fight on the ground and I would expect him to attempt the same on Saturday but Point is no slouch and has the advantage in wrestling, however both fighters are similar in BJJ but Point has much better boxing when compared to Stallone. I can see an upset here !

Next up is Win and Von Erikson

Gunna Win "The Darkness" Eric Von Erikson

Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30b4.jpg

On paper both these fighters skillsets are very similar with Win being slightly better at boxing however Win is the much more experienced fighter with 7 fights and 6 wins to his name, his only loss was to Budo in a title fight which is no disgrace as Budo has beaten everyone before him to date! Other than that one defeat he has won all his fights by either TKO or KO so is a good man with his fists. The Darkness has a big engine and some pretty nifty skills with either fist’s or feet as his last win was by way of KO by head kick, in that bout he also didn’t miss any of his punches so he is very accurate and lethal. He has only 2 bouts to his name but has impressed in them both so this is a hard one to call as the more experienced Win should be able to use the couple of extra fights under his belt to win this but The Darkness has 2 impressive wins to his name so he might win his third in a row…

Moese "No Chance" Daldo Andre Valentino

Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w22.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w11.jpg

Two undefeated fighters taking to the cage on Saturday but with no title at stake it’s only pride (and cash!) that they are fighting for! Daldo has had 3 good wins by way of submissions to date and has the much better BJJ and wrestling skills on show with Valentino miles ahead of Daldo in boxing and MT so this fight is only happening with Daldo trying takedowns constantly to put his excellent GNP to good use with Valentino doing everything in his power to keep the fight standing where he will easily dispatch Daldo. If Valentino can stay on his feet this fight will not last for long ! However if it goes to ground its goodnight for Valentino !

Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on the night and odds are available from my bookies

Next big event in the JAG Calendar is the 185lbs showdown between Sireika and Johnson. This is an interesting contest in that Sireika has owned this title since he beat Takashi to take the belt on 11th August 2018. He is no coward and has defended the title on 3 seperate occasions to prove he is no flash in the pan. Lets see how Johnson fares on Saturday night in what’s expected to be a heaving Las Vegas venue. Nate Baker will be hoping that these fighters behave themselves, both in the ring and after the fight…. Or will he…… Just think of the grudge rematch if things did kick off outside the ring :)

Arnoldas Sireika CJ "Bad Man" Johnson

Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15319132153161.png

Bad man hails from Sydney Australia and has earned his title when living on the streets of Kings Cross Sydney where he had to do a lot of bad sh*t just to stay alive and this has moulded him into the fighting machine that he is today, he has 5 wins from 5 to his name and has won 3 by way of unanimous decisions and 2 by way of TKO Strikes. He is a very confident fighter and tends to strut around the ring geeing up the crowd. He is a good man for clinches and MT and prefers to stay standing if he can where he can show some excellent ability in MT. He has gone the distance in his first 3 fights but has finished his opponents much quicker in recent times with his 2 TKO’s happening in round one of his last 2 fights. Current holder Sireika is undefeated in 6 fights and is flying high at the moment. He has won 4 of his fights by way of TKO and 2 by unanimous Decisions. He has a fantastic fists and has the ability to floor anyone that gets in his way, he prefers using fists and standup as much as he can but he did really well in his last fight to win by a one point decision when Takashi spent the whole fight bringing the fight to the floor with 59 takedown attempts (only 6 succeeded however) and of the 6 takedowns Takashi obviously thought Sireika was a nail and he was the hammer when he tried nearly 70 ground strikes but Sireika defended well and did some serious damage when standing and clinching when he missed only twice with his punches for the whole fight. This title fight should be interesting as both fighters like standup and clinching so this might be a war of attrition in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Second to the title fight is the pairing of Vencedor and Davis

Unai Vencedor David "Animal" Davis

Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b8.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/36/36b1.jpg

This on paper seems reasonably evenly matched with the Spanish matador taking on the Animal from Australia. Davis shades the boxing and wrestling skills (only slightly) and Vencedor is miles ahead when it comes to MT. Vencedor’s only defeat was in his last fight when he was challenging for the featherweight title against the impressive Stallone. Vencedor has an insane ability to soak up damage and is very fond of stand up and clinchwork and all of his wins have been by way of KO and TKO’s, his one defeat was by way of submission so expect Vencedor to want to keep this fight standing. Davis is a smart lad and can use his ability to think n his feet to change his game plan if things aren’t going his way and is a decent boxer and wrestler. He has defeated Manny Johnston who was also one of Vencedors previous successful fights. Davis lives up to his nickname and fights like an animal and is very keen on both standup and clinching so this fight could be a contender for fight of the night! Both these lads like throwing punches but with Vencedors granite chin he may be the slight favourite here (in my humble opinion).

Next up is Mottus V WInger

Taavi Mottus Second "Center" Winger

Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6b13.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b8.jpg

Tale of the tape on this one shows fairly even on all fronts other than Mottus who has the advantage in boxing, but his ability even in this is pretty woeful! Mottus who hails from Estonia has a pretty good record to date and has 4 wins and 1 loss which came by way of strikes to Gunna Win who is a regular battler for JAG and has 7 wins to his name so no shame in losing to him. All Mottus wins to date have come from TKO’s by way of Strike (X2) or KO by way of Punch (X2). Mottus has real KO power and has ended all his fights in round one with his quickest win was in less than one minute against Bobby Dee who was drinking from a straw for a couple of weeks after their bout! “Center” by comparison has only one win to his name but it was his debut fight and he won easily by way of KO punch although there was some shades of controversy about the ref calling the fight and some people thought they fight should have continued! Center threw 18 punches and 17 landed so he is an accurate fighter and has good capacity to take a punch with his granite jaw which will be tested on Saturday I’m sure. Can see the noob to JAG taking an Eastern European scalp on Saturday!

Next on the card Top V Michaels

Thip Top Pat "Music" Michaels

Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-4-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w7.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w16.jpg

This fight looks interesting in that Top is an exceptional MT fighter is better than Micheals at wrestling but Micheals is the better boxer and has a blue belt in BJJ to Top’s white. Top is the less experience of the fighters but has 3 wins and no losses to date with 2 wins by TKO (Cut) and one submission so he is not a one trick pony. Top has elbows like razors and this has been the cause of his two TKO wins when he opened up his opponents with elbows. Micheals will need to be careful in the clinch as Top is very capable when using his elbows and can do serious harm. Even Tops Submission win was by way of strikes and one again it was the elbows that caused his opponent to tap out. Michaels has a chequered history to date with 3 wins and four defeats however his last fight was a win so his tail is up a little at present. His 3 wins were by way of Submission (X2) and one decision. He has some talent when it comes to clinching and punches but his best bet for this fight is to stay on top of his opponent on the canvas as if (please excuse the unfortunate pun I’m about to state) Thip gets on top of Micheals on the floor the music could be stopping for Michaels..

Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on the night and may the best men win.

Well done to Arnoldas Sireika in successfully defending his title last week when he dispatched his worthy opponent CJ Johnson in round one of middleweight title fight in Las Vegas in front of 3,000 screaming fans. Sireika won the fight by way of TKO Strikes in round one when he was unloading strike after strike on Johnson when he was on his knees until the referee had to step in to end his pain.

Next event takes place in Sin City again and top of the bill is the 170lb showdown between Alexandre and Skywalker.

Tiago Alexandre Finnick Skywalker

Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w11.jpg

Alexandre is the current holder of not one but two JAB Division belts, he is the holder of the 155lbs and the 170lbs titles showing that he is no one hit wonder. This is Skywalkers first title shot and he will have a hard battle against the cardio machine Alexandre. Skywalker whilst being the underdog here has a decent pedigree and in his last fight took out Skrtic by way of TKO strikes, no mean feat as Skrtic up to that point had only been beaten by the welterweight JAG champion (note he was however beaten twice by Wendel in successive title fights). On paper Skywalker is the better boxer and has wonderful MT skills to boot whilst Alexandre has the better of him in the BJJ as he has a brown belt to Skywalkers white belt. Alexandre definitely uses the BJJ to his advantage as he has won 5 out of 6 fights by way of a variety of submissions with one decision, he is a counter fighter so usually lets the other guy come to him then try for takedowns. Alexandre is a tough nut to crack as Wendel hit a 2 punch combo to start the fight and cut Alexandre within seconds but he recovered to win by way of submission. Don’t expect Alexandre to stand up and fight toe to toe but if he gets Skywalker down to the ground Skywalker is in trouble. If Skywalker can keep distance and take potshots at Alexandre he might just walk away with a belt on Saturday

Next to top of the bill is the 265lb pairing of Cutt and MBaku, no title up for grabs just some honest to God violence for the paying punters.

AKimbo "Dual Blade" Cutt Madik "Lil Budo" MBaku

Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32b11.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15286860223170.png

Cutt is the much more substantial of these two animals weighing in at nearly 268 lbs against MBaku’s 246 lbs so I wonder will Cutt’s weight advantage work for or against him on Saturday? MBaku is an exceptional wrestler and has purple belt in BJJ while Cutt is a wonderful boxer and is miles ahead of MBaku in the MT department (Cutt honed his boxing skills while serving 15 years for armed robbery where he fought bare knuckles so this man can hit!) . Cutt’s record is very good with only one defeat and all of his wins have been by way of TKO’s and is known to be heavy handed. Most of Cutt’s fights end pretty quickly and his quickest win to date was 5 seconds! He is a standing specialist and should be interesting to see how he fares against the more talented groundwork specialist that is MBaku, MBaku has won all 3 of his previous bouts and not surprisingly all by way of a variety of submissions. This fight is interesting in that Cutt will want to stay standing and MBaku can’t wait to get to the floor and use his submissions skills on Cutt. Hard one to call.

Next is Jones V Guy

Bubba "Jethro" Jones "The Guy" Markus Guy

Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-3-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15309459917293.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38b4.jpg

Jones is coming off the back of two wins so his morale is high and confidence is high, his last 2 fights were wins by way of KO’s when Bubba’s mean right hand knocked his opponent out cold and the ref had to save the day. He can fight equally well in the clinch and when standing off his opponent and he has the better skill in both boxing and MT that his opponent on Saturday. Guy however has a small advantage in wrestling over his opponent. Guy’s best chance on Saturday probably lies in his powerful wrestling ability but he has been known to throw a punch or two in the past! Guy has some wins and some losses and most of his wins have been by way of KO and TKO’s so he is not a one trick pony. I kinda fancy Jones to sneak this one.

Next up is Dikoume V Hickings

Marcel "The Python" Dikoume Charlie Hickings

Record 5-2-0 (W-L-D Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w24.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14060592457708.jpg

Dikoume is only better in BJJ than his opponent on Saturday who is miles ahead in boxing and MT so this should be interesting to see how it goes! All of Dikoume’s wins have come by way of submission which is not surprising given his very good takedowns and quick and his brown belt in BJJ, he does look a little shaken and his morale is on the floor for some reason! Hickings is on a roll and has 4 wins with no losses to date. He looks a little like his idol Vinny Jones and let's hope that he doesnt’ start smashing doors on people's heads on the way into (or after) the fight on Saturday. Hickings spends his spare time kicking peoples ead’s in in London and reading graphic comics, about kicking heads in.. His 4 wins have been by way of KO X 3 and one TKO so he has some ability with his fists. If he can keep this fight standing he will win this one easily

Best of luck to all the fighters and managers

The excitement is building in Sin City for what should be a right battle for the JAG Battle League Middleweight title on Saturday. There is a fantastic three titles up for grabs with Sireika and Maximus topping the bill with their 185 lbs Middleweight title fight. Sireika has been phenomenal to date and this will be his 4th defence of his title with his most recent successful defensecoming on the 13th October last against CJ Johnson.

Also up for grabs is the lightweight 155 lb title which is being contested by current champ Tiago Alexandre who has held this divisions belt since it’s incorporation and he will probably feel that that is actually his belt! Rumour has it that he actually sleeps with the belt so I’m sure Sitsongrit if he wins will need to get it well cleaned before taking it home :)

Last title bout on the night is the 145 lb Featherweight title showdown of current champ Brayden Point and Unai Vencedor. This is not Vencedor’s first shot at the title as he challenged Frank Stallone for the belt when it was first incorporated but lost on the night so he will hope that second time a charm in Vegas on Saturday.

Arnoldas Sireika Brutus "The Roman" Maximus

Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b14.jpg

Sireika is the current undisputed champ in the weight class and has seven wins to his name with Maximus having nearly as good a record with only one loss to his name to date. These are 2 individual fighters and Maximus has the better boxing talent but Sireika has much superior MT skill. Both fighters are even enough on all the other skills so it may turn into a bit of a slugfest on the night, hard to call which fighter this would suit more as Sireika has 5 wins by TKO and 2 decisions and Maximus has 6 wins by TKO. Sireika doesn’t like fighting on the canvas but is no pushover either if the fight is grounded as he has wons against Takashi previously who is a canvas specialist and even with his superior talent in GNP he still couldn’t defeat Sireika. Maximus is lethal with his fists as he strong as an ox and he has ended all his fights in the first round by way of strikes of punches (all TKO’s) so he has definite skills in putting fighter on the floor, his longest fight to date was 2.37 minutes! Maximus is definitely not going to sit back and respect the title holder and Sireika could be in trouble with this challenger as I suspect Maximus is gonna try to end this fight quick before Sireika can counter and clinch and wear Maximus down. Really on the fence here and can’t call one way or the other but given his experience might favour Sireika

Tiago Alexandre Julio Cesar Sitsongrit

Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25w19.jpg

Alexandre is the current holder and is another fine fighter from the renowned fight stable run with an iron fist by the Dictator (he also manages Sireika above). These fighters on paper are fairly evenly matched with Sitsongrit slightly ahead on boxing and wrestling but is a much better MT fighter than Alexandre. BOth of the fighters have had all their wins by way of submissions and one decision each so it doesn’t take a genius to guess how this fight might pan out! The challenger Sitsongrit is no slouch when it comes to his fighting talent on the canvas and has four wins from four fights and has ended all but one of these fights in round on with only his decision victory going the distance. Similar to Alexandre Sitsongrit prefers to fight on the counter rather than to be the aggressor so we may have a fight where these two circle each other like two fifteen year olds at their first school disco wondering who is going to make the first move! Sitsongrit cuts easily so if Alexandre wanted to try something new (i.e. use his boxing/MT ability) instead of taking Sitsongrit down to the floor he might end the fight a different way, but who am I to suggest such a thing to the champ of the division….. This fight is going to go down to who’s better on the canvas and I would have to slightly favour Alexandre given his previous experience.

Next and last title fight on the night is the pairing of Point and Vencedor in the Featherweight division

Brayden Point Unai Vencedor

Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15322662702091.jpeg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b8.jpg

Point is the incumbent title holder and worthy champ with six wins from six outings. Point on paper has better wrestling and BJJ & marginally better boxing than Vencedor but his opponent is a wonderful MT fighter and has Point beaten all ends up in that department. Vencedor has had a previous unsuccessful shot at this title at the start of September last when he was beaten by submission against Frank Stallone, other than that Vencedor has performed remarkably well and has won all his other fights either by KO or TKO’s. He has a granite chin and fights quick and hard and all his fights bar one had ended in the first round, his punch accuracy is lethal and he lands more than he misses! Point is another excellent fighter and has won all his fights bar one by way of either punch or TKO - Strike. His one other win was his debut fight which he won by way of submission, he is another quick fighter and only one of his fights has gone past the first round. Unfortunately for Vencedor Point has already beaten Frank Stallone to win the title (Stallone has previously beaten Vencedor in a title fight) so the advantage looks to be with Point on the weekend, unless he gets a bit cocky and thinks he has it won before stepping into the cage…. Point has been equally lethal with his fists and when he gets into clinches he can be particularly dangerous. If Vencedor let's Point get too close Points big right hand might end the fight very early! Would fancy Point to keep the belt on Saturday

That’s all for now and best of luck to all the fighters and managers on Saturday night. Please don’t forget to read the fantastic interviews that Dusty had conducted with the title contenders on the forum at the following link, well worth the read and once again great work by all concerned.

Hard to top last week’s fantastic event but here’s hoping that Proving Grounds (pun alert…) “proves” to be equally as good if not better. Top of the billing goes to to new additions to the JAG stable with Romero and Bussa crossing swords in London on Saturday.

Joel Romero Head Bussa

Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) MMA 9-4-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w15.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b18.jpg

Two very experienced fighters take to the ring for the top billing with Joel being undefeated in his 6 previous outings. Stats on this fight show that Bussa is the much better boxer and Romero definitely stronger in MT, Wrestling and BJJ. Romero is a belt holder from his previous org where he held the 205lb division belt. All of Romeros wins to date have been by way of Submission and all have ended in the first round as well so he is an aggressive fighter. Given Romero’s talent in groundwork it’s not surprising that he tries to get all his opponents to the floor as quick as possible and don’t expect this to change on Saturday, he will try not to stay standing for too long and if he can get him to the ground it gonna be lights out for Bussa and this fight is over… However don’t expect Bussa to go down easy as this is a man that is a somewhat decent wrestler and is a powerful boxer, he can mix his methods of attack up and can throw a punch or slip into some ground and pound so Romero might not actually get it all his way if the fight goes to ground. Bussa’s nine wins have came by way of 3 TKO and 6 Decisions so this man has an engine that can run and run whereas Romero hasn’t had to go more than one round to date. Bussa can definitely swing his hands as in one of his previous wins by decision he swung his hammers over 100 times over the course of the fight but admittedly they were wild enough until he got better hits with his ground strikes when he hit 50% of the time from 22 ground strikes. This fight should be interesting with the two contrasting styles on show.

Next up is a JAG regular Drunk against a JAG noob in the form of Smith

Punch Drunk Hunter Smith

Record 6-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/34/34w9.jpg

Drunk is the better of these fighter in both MT and boxing where he holds a distinct advantage over Smith but Smith is way ahead of Drunk in BJJ and slightly better in Wrestling. Drunk has 6 wins to his name with all coming from KO (X5) and TKO (X1). He even ended one fight by way of a superman punch! Drunk has excellent MT and has definitely the capability to knock any opponent out, he is very accurate and lethal with his fists and when he swings he doesn’t tend to miss. He has great capacity to end fights early and all but one of his fights have ended in the first round. His 2 defeats have been to fighters that could soak up his hits with granite chins then hit back. Smith has had all his wins by way of TKO (X4) and KO (X1) he has been known to have a granite jaw so Drunk may be in trouble here! Smith likes to fight on the ground so expect him to try to takedown Drunk then start to pound him into submission. Two very similar fighters with great stopping power but with Smiths ability to soak up punishment I would favour him slightly here.

Mathias Wendel Finnick Skywalker

Record 5-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-2-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w11.jpg

On paper both of these fighters are evenly matched across all the skills with Wendel very slightly better than Skywalker in boxing, but only slightly. Wendel is coming into this fight off the back of two successful title attempts against current champ Tiago Alexandre, so that is no disgrace, he ran Alexandre to nearly three rounds the last fight so he learned from the past anyway. All of his wins to date have been by KO - punch and two of his defeats have been by way of submission he throws a real haymaker and when they connect it is usually lights out for his opponents who tend to wake up usually two days after their fights wondering how they got to the hospital! Wendel doesn’t miss with his punches so Skywalker you better be in tune with the Force to try to avoid them on Saturday, Funnily enough Skywalker has also just lost recently to Alexandre so maybe these two might swap war stories before the fight on Saturday to see if there is anyway to topple Alexandre from the top of the pile. Skywalker also has the ability to floor opponents and is heavy handed. Skywalker tends to favour striking in the clinch and has been known to throw 201 punches in one of his last fights in the clinch with a hit rate of the 201 punches of 54% so not too shabby. Expect Wendel to want to stay at arm's length with Skywalker trying to clinch and pummel Wendel into oblivion.

Best of luck to all fighters and manager on Saturday

Next JAG event takes place on the 16th November in Las Vegas with a full house of fights on the card.

Top of the billing goes to Peralta V Top

Manu "Blessed" Peralta Thip Top

Record 3-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w24.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w7.jpg

Two reasonably experienced fighters take to the cage to try to beat each other into a bloody pulp with Peralta being the slightly more experienced and heavier fighter on Saturday. Top has four wins to his name and is an exceptional MT fighter having taken Micheals out in his last fight with a head kick! He is also better at boxing but Peralta is the much better in BJJ so is likely to try and use this to his advantage. Two of Peralta’s three wins have been by way of submission with one TKO for a bit of variety in his debut fight. He is well able to take a punch and will have to do so at the weekend when it’s likely that Top will come at him with fists and legs flying! Peralta beat the much fancied Stoichkov who was 6 fights unbeaten before their fight so his confidence should be high for this fight. Top has the advantage in standup between these two so expect him to want to keep the fight from hitting the floor. Kinda fancy Top slightly in this fight.

Next up is Jones V Steel

Jim "Don’t Drink The Juice" Jones Jack Steel "Hammer"

Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D Record 1-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/7/7w13.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w26.jpg

Two new additions to the JAG stable take to the cage in this fight with both fighters looking pretty even on paper. Jones has 2 wins to his name and both have been ridiculously quick ending in 5 seconds and 35 seconds with the biggest injury risk to Jones occurring when he slipped on some water in the ring from his corner rather than from his opponents! Jones is a fast powerful KO machine so the Hammer better be ready! Steel is no slouch if his debut fight is anything to go by, he won by way of decision but how the fight lasted I don’t know unless he punches like a baby as he threw a total of over 200 punches with fantastic hit rate of 58% landing so his opponent soaked up the punches and stayed standing but due to the massive amount of hits landed the Hammer won easily on a points decision. He has a granite chin himself so this fight could be an absolute beut between two very good boxers.

Johnny Swagger Leonardo "Leo" Yoshi

Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/18/18w6.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b28.jpg

Two more JAG “Noobs” fighting in the cage for this bout but both with some fighting experience outside of JAG. Swagger is a wonderful boxer and really outshine Yoshi in this department however Yoshi is the better MT and BJJ fighter for this one. Given Swaggers obvious talent in boxing and his street smarts it’s not surprising that he favours stand up fighting and I wouldn’t expect this to change for this fight. His punch accuracy is second to none with a near 90% hit rate on his punches so Yoshi better be ready to get hit! All three of Yoshi’s wins have been by way of submission to date so expect the exact opposite of what Swagger will be trying to do with Yoshi trying to get to the floor to use his considerable advantage on the canvas. Yoshi is well able to take a punch so unless Swagger can put him on his ass quickly Yoshi might get the upper hand in this fight. Yoshi won his last fight in less than a minute when he tried to snap his opponents leg in half when dropping onto him.

Best of luck to all the fighters and managers taking part and in particular to the new arrivals to the JAG stable. It’s great to see so many new fighters taking part in this event and I can’t wait to preview some of your future fights. You have joined a progressive, active and great org which is going to achieve some great things with all of your help.

Slammy Neckbreaker: I had two good rounds and was winning against a very tough opponent. He was trying to grab for my arms and neck all the time from the bottom but really had nothing and was starting to look worn down.. I was going to finish this. Then, damn those little pencil arms, he somehow snuck one in around my neck. It was like being choked by a piece of spaghetti, but he managed it somehow. It was a good fight, and I will work more BJJ into my training schedule from now on.

Ian Leperierre: "I like to grab coffee each morning before heading to the gym, and while I wait for my cheese omelette with salsa and avocados (Swiss is my favorite, although Muenster is a close second), I spend the time reading local newspaper. It's been fascinating witnessing all these police reports of clinch-raping that seem to be piling up--they talk of some perv who the media now calls the Master Bater. Apparently this sicko enjoys molesting unsuspecting rave-goers and grope and fondle their private parts while grabbing them and holding them up close. I am utterly disgusted by this creep and I began frequenting all these seedy underground warehouses in the hopes of running into this clinch rapist. With me, I carry a backpack with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch.

I am sure he reads newspapers, as sociopaths like him adore the spotlight, and I am certain he is hoping for his 15 minutes of fame.

Well, if you are reading this--unless I curb stomp you at one of these MDMA-gobblin, groin-grabbin debaucheries first, lets meet in the ring. I'll keep my belt and take your side piece. How bout it?"

Two big title fights taking place on Saturday when the 205 and 185lbs titles are on the line where the recently vacated 205 lbs title is up for grabs and also Sireika is looking to hold onto hsi 185lbs title which he has held since the 11th August and has defended successfully on 4 separate occasions to date!

Top of the bill is Win and Romero in the 205 division.

Gunna Win Joel Romero

Record 8-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w15.jpg

Gunna is a JAG regular and he steps into the ring with new boy Romero on Saturday, Gunna has contested this belt before when he was defeated by the machine that was Budo at the time. Budo was undefeated but had to be stripped of his title when he left MMA to join a Buddist temple in Nepal to go on his spiritual journey to “find himself”. This left the title empty until one of these fantastic fighters takes the belt home on Saturday. Gunna is better at both boxing and MT than Romero but Romero is way better in BJJ and Wrestling. Win has eight wins under his belt and 5 have been by KO - Punch with the other 3 by way of TKO - Strikes so his forte is definitely is in standup or clinchwork so expect more of this at the weekend. Gunna tends to win early and fast and has serious KO power, most of his fights don’t go past the first round. Romero is the Ying to Gunna’s Yang as he is an unreal fighter on the canvas and all of his seven previous fghts have been ended by way of submissions and in very short order too as they have not really gone beyond the first round in any of his fights. Expect Gunna to try to stay on his feet and use his advantage and Romero to try to hit the floor with Gunna. I don’t think Gunna has fought anyone like Romero to date so let's see how he handles him, I think Romero might win this one.

Arnoldas Sireika Richard "Ice Man" Kuklinski

Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43w16.jpg

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg

Tale of the tape on this one shows that the current champ Sireika has the better talent in Boxing and MT but with the challenger having more skill in BJJ than his opponent. Ice man is a new addition to the JAG stable and he brings some real pedigree with him with 6 wins to his name currently. This is his first fight for JAG and he is a brave man to step into the ring against the machine that is Sireika. Let's see if the fresh blood can take Sireika down where others have failed in the past. Sireika likes to stay standing and six of his eight wins have been by way of TKO Strikes which is using his excellent MT and KO power to the best effect. Sireika does like clinching but is equally good when going toe to toe and his accuracy in the clinch for strikes is second to none. Ice man has a solid chin and dangerous Ground and pound so I would expect him to try to take Sireika down where is less comfortable and try to end the fight that way, given Ice Man’s better wrestling if he manages to take Sireika down there is a good chance he will succeed where all others haven’t in the past. Given Ice Mans ability to soak up damage and skill on the canvas this might be an uncomfortable night for Sireika

Julio Cesar Sitsongrit Chael "The American Gangstar" Sonnen

Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25w19.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w25.jpg

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg

No title on the line here but two interesting and experienced fighters taking to the cage on Saturday. Sonnen is a new addition as well so welcome to the JAG family and hope you enjoy your time here. Cesar on paper seems to better in all areas of carnage other than BJJ where himself and Cesar are level pegging on paper. It will be a shame but one of these fighters is going to lost their undefeated streak on Saturday! Cesar despite being raised with a silver spoon in his mouth and the best of private boarding school education from his wealthy family in Brazil has shown an absolutely ruthless streak when he enters the cage and has on several occasions nearly killed his opponents when pummelling them into various degrees of submissions. Sonnen has excellent wrestling and striking skills so he has a variety of means at his disposal to win this bout, his tactics to date have been close to opponent take them down and then they become the nail and he is the hammer with his strike rate on the ground being extremely accurate and indeed deadly as he doesn’t miss. Hard to call this one between great fighters but think Sonnen might shade it.

Best of luck to all the fighters on Saturday

Another exciting night on the horizon for the great fighters and manager of JAG Battle League one of the best up and coming fight orgs in MMA Tycoon with some of the most active and fatastic fighters in the game. Next Saturday puts the the 145lb title up for grabs in Sydney when defending champ Brayden Point defends his title against Manu Peralta. This should be a great contest between the unbeaten Point and the pretender to the throne Peralta. A full house is expected so if you want to get the good seats you better be there early as this is gonna be a sell out show!

Brayden Point Manu "Blessed" Peralta

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg

This is Canada V USA fight taking place in Australia so both fighters have a distance to travel for this one! Point is the current undisputed champion of this division and has beaten all comers to date. Fighters are even enough on paper with Point being the better in boxing and wrestling but all other talents are even steven. Point is slightly smaller than Peralta but that won’t phase the champ. Five of Points last wins have been by TKO or KO by way of strikes so he is a man that knows how to hit, but if you think he can only fight one way you would be mistaken as his last title defence was against a decent standup fighter and managed to win by way of submission in the end. Point tends to prefer clinches but isn’t afraid to go toe to toe either. Peralta’s recent record is mixed but he is coming off the back of two wins on the trot so his back is up a bit at present. Three of his four wins have been by way of Submission with his debut win coming by way of TKO strikes so he can throw a punch although he prefers to fight on the ground. Peralta can take a punch (or ten) so he may be able to soak up some damage from Point and counter attack with some takedowns to try to gain the advantage but expect Point to resist this as much as he can! Fancy Point to hold onto the title

Chael "The American Gangstar" Sonnen Ethan "Eel" Wright

Record 8-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-3-0 (W-L-D

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w25.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32b29.jpg

Sonnen was unbeaten until his last fight when he was beaten after a tough fight by way of He is of known pedigree while winning belts with his previous org Galdius. Sonnen is a very strong GnP fighter and tends to want to get his fights to the ground early where he can do serious damage on the ground. Most of his 8 previous wins have been by TKO/KO Strikes so expect his to try to takedown Wright on Saturday to use this to his advantage. Wright on paper has the slight advantage on Boxing, MT and wrestling but Sonnen is the much better at BJJ than Wright so he may use this talent on Saturday to good effect. Wright is no make weight here against Sonnen and has three wins to his name with two of the three coming by way of TKO strikes, he has a granite chin and is a big fan of pounding lads into the ground so this may become a war of attrition on Saturday with both fighters trying to pile drive each other into the middle of next week. While Wright is a decent fighter I would have to slightly favour Sonnen in this fight.

Michael "Dark Destroyer" Dark Jack King

Record 2-4-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-2-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11b3.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24b22.jpg

The Dark destroyer looks a little bit tired at the time of writing this preview so I hope he gets some good nights rests between now and Saturday ! He is probably out celebrating his beloved hammers beating Cardiff 3-1 tonight so that might explain the tiredness… Dark is the much better boxer than King but King is the much better MT expert but other than that both these lads are fairly even. Dark had a great start to his career but is coming off the back of four defeats in a row and needs a win to stop the rot. He will most likely try to bring his brawling skills to bear against King and try to stay standing up as much as possible where he is the most comfortable. King likes to clinch and bring the fight to the ground and this may not suit the Dark Destroyer if he is not up for a ground battle on Saturday. King has won three of his previous fights with TKO, KO and armbar submission being his poisons of choice to win his fights so he is definitely a man of many talents. Favour King in this bout

Best of luck to all the fighters on Saturday

JBL 12 takes place this Saturday with the main event of the night the pairing of Laperierre and Storm for the 135lb title clash in London. Laperierre holds the title currently having won it from Machida initially and then defending successfully in November against Neckbreaker to continue his seven fight undefeated stretch.

In addition to this big fight there is two other belts on the line as well with Romero and Winger battling it out in the 205lbs division with Romero the current champ he is defending his belt for the first time this weekend.

Also Sitsongrit and Daldo and duking it out in the 155lbs division with Sitsongrit defending his shiny new title for the first time having defeated Alexandre to win the belt last month as well. I think Alexandre may still be smarting from that defeat and I smell a rematch on the cards!

Ian Laperierre Lincoln Storm

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg

Laperierre is the current champion and is going to (pun incoming…) have to weather the storm on Saturday to hold onto his belt. Laperierre is like the duracell bunny and can go all night long and several of his fights have gone the distance so this is a man that can wait things out and fight for a decision rather than jumping headfirst into the fight. He is equally comfortable clinching / standing or fighting on the floor as is very versatile, his favourite position recently has been in clinching so he may try this again on Saturday but given his versatility don’t count on it! Storm is technically undefeated in seven fights also with only a draw going against him, he has excellent MT ability and has the ability to KO anyone and has done on several occasions in the past with 5 of his previous wins by way of KO (x1) and TKO (x4). His preferred method of attack is either stnading or in the clinch with the clinch being slightly preferred if his previous fights are anything to go by. He can be inaccurate when swinging his hand cannons but if he connects right it could be lights out for Laperierre on Saturday. Fancy Storm on this match but only slightly!

Joel Romero Second "Center" Winger

Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w15.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b8.jpg

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg

Romero is the current holder and whilst he is relatively new to JAG he has made a big impact since joining the org. He is eight wins from eight and whilst he won seven of these by way of Submission he changed his modus operandi against Gunna Win in his last fight and won by way of TKO strikes when he got into full mount and absolutely destroyed Gunna untill the ref had to put an end to the bloodbath. Romero is lethal on the ground so Winger is going to have to try to keep this fight on their feet! Winger has height and weight advantage so this may work with his superior MT ability in keeping off the canvas on Saturday. Winger has 4 wins on the trot and has the ability to take a punch or ten but is weak in BJJ when compared to his opponent so he will need to keep his clinching tight on Saturday to make sure that he can keep the fight standing. I would like to see Winger put it up to Romero but I think Romero might be too good for him but he will give it a good shot.

Julio Cesar Sitsongrit Moese "No Chance" Daldo

Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25w19.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w22.jpg

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg

The 155 title is up for grabs in this contest with Sitsongrit the man in possession having wrestled the belt from worthy former champ Tiago Alexandre and this is his first defence of the belt. Sitsongrit has won all of his previous fights by way of Submission but his opponent on Saturday is equally talented in BJJ with both fighters holding brown belts in BJJ. However Sitsongrit is much better in Boxing and MT than Daldo so for this fight maybe he might try to to stay on his feet for a change, or will he? Both these fighters are the same height and weight so it may come down to a lucky move on either of these fighters parts to win the bout. All of Daldo wins were also by way of Submissions as well so this may be a fight where the two lads roll around the canvas for a few minutes trying to get the upper hand on the other. Daldo’s only defeat was to Alexandre who was the former champ of this division and who Sitsongrit has already defeated so all the pressure is on Sitsongrit on Saturday to win this match and hold onto his belt (which I think he can do).

Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on Saturday

Following on from the highly successful ‘Final Destination’ event last weekend which resulted in Phol winning the 265lb title and Alexandre taking the 170lbs title on the night some other honourable mentions are Taavi Mottus and Jack Blood who won KO of the night (Taavi) and Sub of the night (Jack). The Bastard and Gunna Win served up the fight of the night with a slugfest so well done to all concerned in making this a very successful night for JBL.

Next Title night is this weekend with Phil Boxaaja and CJ Johnson fighting for the 185lbs title.

Phol Boxaaja CJ "Bad Man" Johnson

Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13954918807232.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15319132153161.png

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg

Boxaaja is the current champ of this division having won the title in the middle of December when defeating Bardamont in a bruising 4 round thriller. Boxaaja showed a lot of skills when winning the title and he managed to fight standing up, in the clinch and even got some floor time in as well ! Ultimately he won by a show of superior BJJ and won by way of submission, but given his skills in standup and GNP he’s not a one talent wonder! Boxaaja is undefeated in eight fights and has won by a variety of means including three submissions, four TKOS by way of strikes and one KO by punch. On paper these two fighters appear even enough but Boxaaja is a slightly better boxer than Johnson but that aside these are 2 very exciting young fighters that have a fantastic future ahead of them in this sport. Johnsons record to date is pretty good with his one defeat coming against Sirelkas in a title fight last month he prefers stand up fighting but has been known to roll around on the floor a bit (sometimes even in the cage as well !). He has had a tough childhood living on the streets of Sydney and this has made him into the beast that he is today, he has lethal fists and they are accurate as hell if his last fight is anything to go by when he landed all but one of his punches to knock Miles to the floor after 3,20 mins of round 1. Boxaaja has to be the favourite on this one but don’t expect it to be an easy night in the ring for the current champ.

2nd to top billing on the night if the pairing of Drunk and Jone in the 265lbs category

Punch Drunk Bubba "Jethro" Jones

Record 8-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-2-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15449616617231.gif

No title on the cards on this one but given Punch Drunks record if he wins this one he might be calling for a title shot very soon! On paper while Jones is the lesss experienced fighter here he has the slightly better stats than Drunk except in BJJ where is is miles ahead of drunk and given his slight superiority in wrestling as well this could be where Jones might try to win this fight. All of Drunks previous wins have been simple affairs, he prefers to knock his opponents out cold and has won all his fights by way of TKO, Jone is the same as his three professional wins have also been by TKO! Drunk is a simple creature and loves throwing punches both in clinches and standup, he has heavy hands has some real power behind them and he really puts his whole body into them to really make them count. Jones better be ready to soak up some initial damage to get through this bout, however Jones is no shrinking violet when it comes to throwing punches and whilst he might not have the KO power of Drunk he has the accuracy but on Saturday will he try to unsettle Drunk and bring the fight to the floor where he would have a huge advantage??

I am going down the card a little bit to get some of the fights that are lower down the card for a preview to freshen things up a bit and have picked Hinch V Scanlan to preview as I have never previewed either of these fighter for JAG.

"The Tank" AJ Hinch Jordan Scanlan

Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38w20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39b3.jpg

USA V’s Canada in this fight so let's see how friendly the Canadian Scanlan is when he gets into the ring on Saturday. On paper Scanlan is the much better MT fighter but Hinch is better in wrestling and BJJ than Scanlan. Hinch had a promising career in baseball cut short when he injured his throwing/drinking arm in college when he slipped playing beer pong in his freshman year and had to give up on his hopes to turn pro, unfortunately for Scanlan this means that Hinch is a bit bitter and twisted about the world and has been taking his aggression out on his opponents in the cage, he has only 2 fights in his professional career but both have been wins one by TKO and the other with a savage had kick that nearly took Daldo’s head clean off! He won his last bout in 22 seconds when he unleashed a head kick on Daldo knocked him to the ground followed him down and put him out cold.. He is ruthless and bitter and that makes him dangerous! Scanlan has won his two fights by KO punch and TKO and his only defeat was by Submission in his debut fight so given Hinch’s superiority in groundwork will he try to use this to his advantage or stay standing and go toe to toe with Scanlan? This should be an interesting fight and I would tip Hinch slightly to win this one.

That’s all for now - hope you enjoyed the preview and best of luck to all the fighters on Saturday (especially to my no hoper waster/just about to be dumped fighter!).

I will be putting odds up on the fights shortly so feel free to try to take some money off me if you wish :)

Hard Knocks arena in London is the location to be this weekend with the 145lbs title up for grabs with current champ Point being called out by the pretender to the throne Bagueirau. Point has held onto this title since he won it way back in October and has successfully defended his title on two occasions since, can Baguerau wrestle (literally!) the belt from Points hands????

Brayden Point Sildosoves "Throne" Bagueirau

On paper Point has the advantage in this fight when it comes to Boxing, MT and Wrestling and Bagueirau only holding his own when it comes to BJJ. Point is undefeated in eight fights to date and has won by a variety of means with his last victory by way of a KO by punch other than that he has won twice by submission and the rest by either TKO or KO. In Points last title fight he was deadly accurate and landed every single punch he threw although the fight was over that quick he didn’t have to throw that many in the end - only nine punches to KO Peralta with a fantastic uppercut being the icing on the cake that put Peralta on the floor. Bagueirau will have to soak up some punishment to win this one on Saturday! However given his superior wrestling talent Point might mix it up a bit and fight on the floor.. But I think he enjoys smashing people too much to do that! Bagueirau is a tough cookie and has five wins with only one defeat in his career to date, all of Bagueirau’s wins to date have been by submission with his one defeat by way of decision after going the full 3 rounds, he is a powerful fighter and had to take a lot of punishment from Top in that fight when losing as Top threw a lot of kicks at Bagueirau and landed over 50 on him and he stayed standing so his ability to take damage might be useful on Saturday. All Bagueirau’s previous wins have been quick ones too with none lasting past the first round so don’t expect him to sit back and wait for things to happen. I expect him to let Point throw a couple of punches then counter and use his BJJ to finish the fight! Should be a good fight but have to favour the current champ Point to come out on top! (sorry Winger :) ).

Arnoldas Sireika Charlie Hickings

Record 9-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-3-0 (W-L-D)

Sireika is a regular fighter with JAG and has been the middleweight champ for JAG previously when under a different manager so this is his debut for his new manager who will be hoping to make it ten wins on the trot. Sireika has great MT talent and has the capacity to knock people out cold but he is a bit lacking in BJJ whereas his opponent on Saturday has the better boxing and BJJ skills and will be trying to use this to his advantage. Sireika prefers standup fighting and is particularly fond of clinches and using his strikes when clinching and this has been his most successful manner of victory to date with six of his previous wins by way of TKO by Strike, so don’t expect him to want to do much fighting on the ground this weekend. Hickings has a chequered history since he went from being a full time football hooligan to professional MMA fighter with five wins to date but all of these wins were either KO’s or TKO’s with his defeats all coming to better ground fighters by way of submissions so he has a hard choice to make on Saturday… stay standing where he has had the most success or hit the ground where he is the better BJJ fighter… TOugh call for the manager to make but given Sireika history and pedigree he is the favorite to win this bout in my humble opinion.

Jordan Bryant Dalton "MC" McConnell

Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b27.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b2.jpg

Bryant is the more experienced fighter on Saturday with seven wins from seven but McConnell whilst inexperienced has two wins from his two fights to date. McConnell has the better talent in Boxing and MT with Bryant showing much more flair in Wrestling and BJJ. All of Bryants, who is very powerful btw wins have been by either KO’s or TKO’s with one decision going his way other than that. He is a very good standup fighter and I just wonder with McConnell having the advantage in standup on paper will Bryant try to use his superior ground work skills to win this fight? The one thing about Bryant is that he is accurate with his fists and when he throws a punch more often than not they land, all his fights bar one have ended in the first rounds so this show’s how powerful a fighter he really is! MC’s two wins have been by TKO and decision and he is also a fighter that loves to throw punches and his last fight against Proudmore (who has a granite chin) was areal slugfest with McConnell throwing over 100 punches with nearly ⅔ of them landing on target and he still wasn’t able to put his opponent down and it went for him by way of decision. This could either be a toe to toe standup fight on Saturday or will Bryant use his superior ground skills to his advantage? Have to slightly favour Bryant on this one due to his greater experience.

Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on Saturday and odds on all the fights will be availabe via my bookies if you fancy a flutter :)
