Really nice idea Rory, hope you can put it together. One thing I would suggest is that I believe there is a sizable number of Finns and Poles that play this game, probably more than there are Russians and Australians (and maybe Canadians), so if you're concerned about numbers I'd consider adding those countries.

One question I have would be who picks the fights? Obviously we couldn't fight all 25 opponents so presumably each fighter will face one or two opponents from each country? It seems inevitable that a few people will end up complaining that they're getting unfavorable match ups. Anyway if it goes ahead, I would be happy to take part for team UK.

Quite a few Aussies play the game, but relatively few next to Brits/Americans. Plus most of the tournament inclined have been left with a bit of a sour taste from the Aus vs UK TUF tournament where only 1 UK fighter made it out of the bottom 7 in a 14 man field.

Ye I noticed the TUF UK vs AUS and saw that Aus won or is winning... One of the things that inspired my idea of having a 'grudge match' put in there.. We need to set the score with them aussies! All you aussies out there enter this tourny! us brits want to show you a real ass kicking! haha

Aus won as of 24th February when my fighter eliminated the last Brit :P -- final is Australian vs Australian.

So what's the system here? Who fights who and how many times? What's the training perioid before fighting starts (or is there one)?

Btw, if there is not enough interest for some country you can msg me. I'd be interested in this and I could ask my alliance buddies aswell (FinnFighters).

ps. Maybe limit the training to public gyms only becouse otherwise Brazilians and N-Americans would possibly have a bit of an edge with their fancy private gyms. =)

@calmlikeabomb

This is how the fights will go: all countries fight each other only once.

For example:

Team USA's schedule could be:

1. UK

2. Brazil

3. Russia.

4. Australia

5. Canada

And thats it.

But when it comes to the fighters, each fighter fights against only one fighter from each country.

The way the winning team is decided is the team with the best record out of 5 Team matchups. If there is a tie somehow then the winning team will be the one with the most individual fights won. Hopefully this makes more sense!

Also, thanks for the interest and apologies I did not include Finland in the teams. I honestly didn't think there were many Finnish people playing! But I will change that for you and your alliance if you guys can fill the team. Anyone have any idea how big the Russian community is on here that seems like it could be the least likely to fill out a team for some reason but perhaps im wrong again! But ye If you are sure you could get Finnish lads to play than I will put finland in and potentially remove a country.

OK im going to give into minor peer pressure and put team finland up there instead of errr Russia. thanks for the interest lads I will put your names in for team finland now @calmlikeabomb @Kole...

Also, @calmlikeabomb if you could let your alliance know thats great (3 more fighters for team finland). And about the public gym idea - it will be pretty hard for me to monitor if someone is using a pvt gym because there will be 30 fighters and I thought all cities had their own 'fancy pvt gyms' no?

Cheers.

Alright I have now mass-mailed all the FinnFighters about this tournament. You can add my name to the list and most likeyl Kole's too becouse he already answered to that mass-mail and said he'd be interested.

About the training perioid before the fights, have you thought about it?

Yeah ofcourse we all have private gyms but ours are mostly in Helsinki or in the EU area which is pretty long way from Rio. I didn't necessarily mean you'd have to monitor anything. I would be down with a gentlemens agreement but if people think the idea stink then I personally am fine with it. Some other fella who don't have a private jet might object tho... =)

Yours and Kole's name are already up. And ye I put up on the original post that training is allowed and can be done in a gym of your choice. If enough people object to the whole training/gym thing it can be change but I really don't think there is a problem as it stands... I do not like making people hold back on improving their fighter; hopefully this tournament will be the beginning of some huge names in mmatycoon!

Also before someone asks... I will send out the creation date when the teams are filled. Now spread the word lads!

About the countries I have chosen for the tournament; if certain countries can't fill out a team then I will change the country of the team that cannot be filled. eg if Russia only had a couple of people who entered that team and there was no further interest I would change it to say, Finland or Poland and hopefully they would fill up the team slots.

about that maybe just have slavic teams eg eastern european maybe as im not too sure hoe many actually play it but USa and UK should have plenty

Cheers Stark, If only Scotland could've beaten Wales on the w/e :( anyway, sorry to say team UK is now full... But if anyone decides to drop out (for some crazy reason!) you will be first to know. Not sure if you were joking about joining Canada but we shall see how their team filling comes along. Sorry man!

Nice idea and just read about it from Dee´s message to all FinnFighters. Team Finland can count me in!

You have been added, cheers. And there I was doubting Finlands' existence in mmatycoon, how foolish of me haha
