Memorable Pre-Fight Walk Out / Post Fight Interview 2020

Recommended Posts

I love to spend during fighter creation thinking about the name and nickname, how to translate that into an awesome walk song, interviews, bios, (post-fight) interviews... And I love to read good ones as well. This is something I've been missing this time I tried the game again. Most of my opponents did not have a walk in song, no funny post fight interviews, etc... No more custom shirt+pants... Its all about customizing avatar and thats it

So I decided to create this thread to gather all character-o-philes out there that love roleplaying their fighters a little bit to share their own work and communicate.
Well, it can look like I am sniffing my own fart right now (Wich I am, no shame at all), but Im gonna start with my own work here.

As always, any tip or constructive feedback (that excludes Camara/Humors) is always welcome.

Awesome topic! Not to toot my own horn, but every one of my (home grown) fighters has an avatar, bio, and walkout song lol. In fact, most of my free agent pickups do as well- though I only mess with the bio and song if the original manager of the fighter no longer plays. I don't think i've linked my profile to the forums, so if anyone wants to take a look, here's my profile.

A lot of mine are literature related. My favorite currently is Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird, whose walkout song is Ghetto Bird by Ice Cube.

On a less egotistical note, Buff Minion has the best in my opinion. Billy A has some hilarious ones as well.

for post fight commentary, I recently fought a guy who had some serious handicaps going into our fight, apparently.

I try and put a bit of thought into my fighters profiles to name a few I have:

"The Impaler" Ramdin Bolsdeep hes from Lahore in Pakistan, and is entrance music is Sexbomb by Tom Jones.

Then there's "The Cologne Crippler" Bender Mein-armbach, His avatar is in the style of Hans Gruber from die hard, and his entrance music is, "enter sandman," by Metallica, as he hopefully will be putting his opponents to sleep as he's a BJJ expert.

One other funny named fighter I have is "the Fist Master" Ramsey Tupper, and just incase you don't quite get it I'll break it down for you.

"The fist master Rams it up her"

Your Welcome :)

I put a bit of thought into my fighter's profiles, especially their names and walkout songs - and thats because I feel it adds a shit ton of depth to the game. A lot of the names I've picked have a relation to famous people I like, my real life friends or pre-existing fictional characters and I try to give them a fitting avatar and song to round off their profile. Some fighters of mine use the same song their entire career like Benson Whyte, and others may change over time or depending on what's happening in their careers. All my dudes post 350+ still need to get the characterisation treatment though, which this thread has inspired me to do!

As for other managers and their fighters - I've always been impressed by Billy Arseworth's biographies, Rastaman's (RIP) avatars & Buff Minion's EVERYTHING. Players like these guys and anyone else that puts the effort in really do make the game worth playing. I don't think I'd stick around if everything was default everywhere I looked.

Emelianegro throws a big uppercut that drops Canseco ! More strikes from Emelianegro and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Canseco lies dazed against the cage as Emelianegro celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fedor Emelianegro!

An intense looking Fedor Emelianegro took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'I DO'.

The defeated Jose Canseco had this to say: 'I DO Then runs down to the courthouse and files for divorce.'.

I don't really put much effort into post fight interviews unless it's a big fight. I've just stopped caring for them. I do however like the walkout songs.

Carter Jose De La Cus's walkout song is Big Body by Barrington Elect somehow found it one day randomly it sums up Carter pretty well. Though earlier on in his career I'd pick a different song every fight usually something flamboyant or whatever to troll the other guy.

For Jose Canseco I picked Meltdown from the movie The Insider. Don't know why I picked it and have considered changing it but I kinda like it. Just picturing him walking to the ring with that playing.

Lloyd Badweather is my Mayweather parody. I still haven't thrown him out there to fight yet I might soon. Lloyd "Ugly Boi" Badweather Jr. He is the son of Lloyd Badweather Sr. I like to make him write like an idiot on buzz because of 50 cent's funny IG posts claiming Mayweather is illiterate it's hard trying to stay in character sometimes with him because I run out of ideas.

I started out making the whole stable of boxers from the Punch Out boxing game. Only one of them still having any kind of a career is the very first one I created, Glass Joe. I do some writing sometimes when I feel like it and have the time, but rarely had that time lately.

For post fight I thought this was a funny little practical joke:

But don't think anyone noticed, not even his new manager.

I used to make/buy avatars for every one of my fighters and made background stories, speeches, entrance song,...

This has faded over time, directly related to my interest in the game.

However when I will create new projects, I promise to go back to my old habits and irritate you guys to death with stories and posts about them

Lol hilarious! Going to make me look twice at every free agent I pick up.

The Conrad Mcgillicuty (?) interview thread is awesome, I look forward to seeing what new characters you have in store

Just took a look at your profile, I dig your song selections, lots of awesome bands on there. The Kids Are Alright by the Offspring is an awesome choice for that one character.

I admire your post fight speeches, I have never been able to remember to change it on the regular. But, this thread has definitely inspired me to start, its a nice addition to building up a character. :)

TY pops!

My favorite aspect of the game was owning a clothing and doing customs. My shop thread was great and full with fluff (like my very own signature). I have no time these days for intese photoshopping (Im colorblind so doing customs takes a LOT of time) so these little roleplaying snacks its what keeps me interested

Man, we have the same playing experience lol. I loved owning a clothing store, and since I have traded it in for a gym I have been way more into character creation.

Glad to see a lot of people enjoy this aspect of the game like i do! If this was just a numbers game I would have left a long time ago.

When I have a character concept I try to do my best to do a little homework first. Without getting long-winded & to give an example, When i made Jacques Durand the character concept was the son of African immigrants who moved to France so i googled what city most African immigrants moved to in France. After that I googled rappers from that city to put as his walkout music. Just simple stuff like that doesn't take that much effort I think livens up a character concept & brings them to life a little bit. Sometimes I try to go the extra mile like with Seamus MacNamara & when he does his smack talk on Buzz I type out what I want to say & pick out words I can "Irish up" based on a couple websites I found for Irish slang & pronunciations.

Not sure if you are someone who sticks to the ID ranges, but since 360k is taking forever to get here I know personally i’ve brainstormed a ton for characters, but i look forward to seeing what you have planned for 360. :)

I don't get to make new fighters often because it's extremely rare that I release fighters & I've maxed out my 20 fighter slots. However, I'll be releasing 2 of my very first fighters after they finish their contracts very soon so I'll have room to make some new guys :)

Bitter sweet though, I've had these guys since 2015 :(
