Smartphone advice

Looking to buy a new smartphone for around €400.00.

Mainly has to have a nice bright screen, good battery and work quickly.

Done some research and seems to me that the Huawei Nova 5T is the top choice, as it is basically a flagship device, but at mid-range cost.
Anyone has experience with the Huawei Nova 5T or any advice on what the best mid range smartphone would be?

I use a Huawei. Resistent, never used a screen protector and cell is fine.
My model battery was average, nothing outstanding. Still ok even tho i bought it 2 years ago

System was REALLY fast and no stuttering when bought, just starting to get a little sluggish after 2 years use.

All in all, it depends on your demands. Im not a "high profile" user, quite casual, no gaming... So mid range Huawei models did just fine. More bang for less buck when I bought it.

I bought a Huawei coming from a Zenfone 3.

  • Best performance: OnePlus 8.
  • Best for features: Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.
  • Best camera: Xiaomi Mi Note 10.
  • Best for Google: Google Pixel 3a.
  • Best for Samsung: Samsung Galaxy A51.
  • Best for gaming: Red Magic 3.
