  1. "Finnish Philosopher" Leevi "Stones" Saros wanted to give a short post-fight comment after getting KO'ed by the 3rd ranked Middleweighter "Pancake Master" from Greece, Milo Andrianakis: - Congratulations Milo, you are one tough customer and fists full of dynamite. I made few pre-fight preparation mistakes but that is no excuse for my performance tonight. You showed yet again why you belong to the very top of this weight division. Much respect! For me, it's back to the...eh, stoning board. "You may easily face the best, but your face cannot" - Leevi Saros 2021
  2. My VIP is ending in 15 days and as I am not renewing my VIP, unfortunately my gym will go to automatic sale. This is not what I want, but as gyms are VIP feature, there is nothing I can do. Gym is atm financially almost breaking even (-$200/w) with 20 fighters and making profit with every new fighter coming in. So far, gym has slowly but steadily gain new fighters, so in time, with stable and long term manager, gym has good changes to gain permament footing as solid quality and reasonably priced gym in Helsinki. PS. Latest coach purchases 17th of may: If you are interested, check out "Companies for sale" under your "My Business" -tab when my VIP expires. PS. Mass mail has just been sent to all fighter managers training in my gym, so all affected have now the same information on this matter.
  3. Hello, Helsinki does not have too many affordable and decently equipped public gyms. Finland's Finest MMA Gym is on path to change that. Finland's Finest MMA Gym has been up few months now, with solid starter set of 5 single Elite (150) coaches in Boxing, Wrestling, Muai Thai, BJJ and Fitness + another set of 5 Sensational (130) coaches to support training variety. In future we are expanding our coach line up along with growing numbers of fighters training in our gym. Finland's Finest MMA Gym has very reasonable fee of $500/week. We have sauna and vending machine + we keep our training equipment and cleaniness level always at highest level. Our sparring schedule: Wrestling: Monday AM / Saturday PM BJJ: Tuesday AM / Thursday PM Boxing: Wednesday AM Muai Thai: Friday PM --------------- Finland's Finest MMA Gym main strengths: 1. Affordable for anyone at $500/week 2. Way better training than basic Cozad gym 3. Gym will expand with its fighters. 4. Active gym owner communications. You ask or request, and we listen and reply. https://www.mmatycoon.com/gympublic.php?gmid=4825 Wellcome aboard and train hard!
  4. Leevi "Stones" Saros, "The Finnish philosopher" vs Ramone Rocksaw Saros gave his post-fight interview after the DMMA 6 main event defeat: "Ouch. Did I really jinx myself in my pre-fight comment when I said "I have never been KO'd before so my opponent better give his best shot to the moon cos anything else might not be enough..."...becouse that was exactly what happened. I literally got starshot to galaxy and beyond by this yankee doodle monster man from New York, Ramone Rocksaw. I think I still have little twinkles in my eyes...and a majorly splitting headache.... So, what went wrong in this match? From what I gathered during fight, everything went by to books going into third round. Two first rounds were close but I think I got both scorecards by being bit more active and connecting with more shots. I was also waiting my time to get Ramone into clinch to truly work on him, but wanted to keep this approach less obvious. On the other hand, I fully expected his super heavy hands in action and take all hits necessary leading into possible late clinch game. Unfortunately, those clinches never came to fruition. Plus, I clearly was not sharp enough to avoid that blazing fast counter hook straight to my temple...and that was all she wrote. I got knocked out first time in my career. It sucks big time. But hey, at least I went out with my beautiful starry eyes! Gotta give it to the main man, Ramone Rocksaw. He was as dangerous as we all knew and despite well prepared against his hammer fists of doom, I still got sent to the oblivion. In addition, his stand-up was visibly more varied with use of well positioned Muai Thai. All in all, well deserved win by Mr. Rocksaw. This Finn bows in honor." "Getting humbled is often unwanted yet important passage to self-improvement" - Leevi Saros 2021
  5. Leevi "Stones" Saros, "The Finnish philosopher" Leevi Saros wanted to comment headlining the main card of DMMA 6 and say few words about his upcoming fight against Ramone Rocksaw: "Firstly, I want to thank Dynasty for giving us former Caged Warriors a new home. Feeling is warm and wellcomed. My progress at 185lbs division has been relatively steady from the get go. No serious injuries nor long setbacks. Secondly, headlining a maincard against a true KO artist Ramone Rocksaw is going to be a challenge. Not only does he send his opponents to orbit with his knockouts, he can do it fast. This guy is seriously dangerous in his craft. So, what's my cake to the table against Ramone? Well, ive been tried and tested in mental warfare from pre-fights to post-fights and showed everyone what I can do in Octagon physically. I'm tough and durable all-rounder. Plus, I have never been KO'd before so my opponent better give his best shot to the moon cos anything else might not be enough. That said, it's gonna be fireworks until someone sleeps or the final bell rings. Prepare accordingly at DMMA 6: Rocksaw vs Saros" (May 5th, 2021)" "When honorable fighters face each other, only the outcome separates them" - Leevi Saros 2021
  6. Patrik Mustonen gave his thoughts after losing to infamous Mehdi Kanaani tonight: Patrik: Well fought, Mehdi. I did not expect it to be as mat heavy fight despite obvious wrestling credentials difference. Was looking for more aggressive full range "revenge" fight after I got uninamous decision against his team mate Nikolai Tsavieva. No can do. Congratulations. However, after checking out Mehdi's recent fights against senior fighters, I gotta ask from Mr. Kanaani himself and the California MMA matchmaker: Why so many back to back matches against elder fighters? Just curious here. And sure, we old farts do give run for the younger money, but I think Mehdi Kanaani can do better than this. Why not given/taken true challenges from own age range and skillset? After all the wins and boisterous talk, a fighter should be challenged into harder walks also. Gholam Estili that was just called out is more that. Maybe matchmaker will put a true test course for all the upcoming 2021 fights and we can really see how tough cookie Mehdi really is. All the best for your journey, Mr. Kanaani! What's next for me? Well, firstly, I gotta rest a full week. Mehdi, that young hotshot wrestling steamroller totally spent me on mat. After that I'm ready for whatever comes. I'm scrappy, durable and strong. Offer a fair and balanced fight and I'm 100% in. Catch ya on the flipside! -Patrik
  7. Valid post and I agree everything you say here. However, you have misunderstood my message. My main complain/critique was targeted on the criteria how and to whom ownership is given and how this can affect and has affected fight organization...like in this case to CWMMA with January 2021 ownership change. When the last message was received by our former owner (26th March) that there was going to be another sudden ownership change and it is given to "someone", this "someone" did not exactly help clarify anything. With the steady regression of our organization, this just aided the blindfolded sense of CWMMA going even further adrift. More open and transparent communication to us managers would have helped immensily here. That did not happen. So I made the post and stand by it. Now, when name Dynasty dropped in and things started to unravel, I naturally changed stance. Definitely a positive turn of events to see a solid fight organization and seasoned owner to step in and take over in CWMMA. Dynasty is most wellcomed to take charge and gets my wholehearted blessing for all things to come. Hopefully this clarifies the intent of my original post. In hindsight, had it a bit over-sarcastic tone? Sure. Was it made in haste? Definitely. Yet I had to post my thoughts then and there (as explained above). So, what can be learned here? Inner and outer communication and open dialoque goes a long way. And on my part, more patience when facing org-related uncertainty. On these we may all agree on, I think.
  8. So, our new well hyped CW MMA owner is now a former one. Just few months after previous ownership change. Forum has been dead since transfer and now ownership is handed again to...someone. That's great. Maybe that special mysterious someone can commit to the task longer than 3-4 months? Who knows. Apologies for venting here, but gotta do it. This just blatantly shows how empty all the pre-words can be around any ownership changes: a total fairy tale chattery. I thought fight organization owner transfers are seriously and competently negotiated. And manager who takes over have the time to do it, is 100% proven to be committed, is decently active and has somesorta vision forward with open communications. Apparently not. But hey, let's look at the bright side: this is the first post in CW MMA forum since the last two begging posts in January 23nd and March 6th... May the merry wheel of MMA fortune and positive winds guide this captain abandoned ship of ours where-ever it may lead us, cos we are sailing blind forwards at the moment.
  9. 185 lbs title fight between the short notice challenger, the boxer Leevi Saros and the dominating belt defender, the BJJ specialist Tyrone Mack was just held on CW MMA: Redemption. Tyrone Mack holded the belt with ease as fight went to mat, continued on mat and was ended on mat. Leevi wanted to congratulate the "mat beast" champion himself. "There is no room for making one mistake with you, Tyrone. One miss, one miscalculation and you wrapped me like a chistmas present. I fully expected to what was coming from you, yet I just couldnt evade the inevitable. True champion and one tough BJJ specialist to beat. Congratulations, Tyrone Mack!" - Leevi Saros "Sometimes we just can't avoid the unavoidable nor escape the unescapable" - Leevi Saros 2021
  10. All the best to the former CW MMA workhorse Matty Fernandez, you will be remembered in all ranks of this organization. Thank you for all the hard work, the steady support and the kind helping hand you have given for this org and for us fighters. May your future be as bright as the guiding lights you have provided for us all here at CW MMA. Godspeed, Matty! Also, warm wellcome to the new CW MMA leader Alexei Smirnow. Lets keep the CW MMA train going full steam ahead. Choo choo!
  11. Thanks for the congrats, Dodong! ?? Until next time...
  12. Leevi "Stones" Saros, "The Finnish philosopher" Stones Diary, part 3: War is over Las Vegas, USA 21th December 2020 = Bloodstones = The hell-fueled rematch between me and the Philippinian eL "Ungart" IsoG is over. Result is as seen. After super heated post-debut and pre-rematch verbal bolstering how my opponent is literally going to "penetrate me" (I softened the actual word for the decency of this diary) or at least push me to the very limit...eL IsoG provided rather muted performance. I expected the persistant Philippinian hothead fume into absolute steam-monster in every position, making all the engagements hard and heavy, yet he fought relatively conservatively and preferred mostly pure standup boxing. Nothing wrong with it stylistically, but I didn't expect the lack of overall aggression and commitment after all that talk... Not going to dismantle the fight nor my opponent further, but above had to be layed it out. My gameplan was pretty much as it shows from statistics. Went by the book. I do truly hope we both take bow from this experience, El IsoG, as we both are still young fighters. So much to learn from everything and so much MMA greatness ahead to get humbled by. I also sincerely hope the "bad blood" between us is not lasting kind. As I'm totally ok with you after rematch. You are a great boxer, you have wicked personality (touch too wild for my taste ^^) and I think you go places once you get your fighting focus 100% back on track. Godspeed for future, "Cebu City Boss"! "Greatest gift one can have is to see greatness in others" - Leevi Saros 2020 = Christmas and Finland= As most western countries, so do Finland enjoy the magical time of Christmas in December. Well, "magical" until we grow out believing that Santa is real...to actually know real Santa lives in Finland! Yes, whatever foolish North Pole -stories you have been fed as kid by your less educated parents, the real deal gift giver big daddy lives in Finland...to be precise: far north Finland in Korvatunturi, in his hometown Rovaniemi in Lapland. He has his own "Santa Claus Village" and is pretty busy bearded bee with all the internationally visiting tourist families, even at these damned covid-19 pandemic times. We also have plenty of funky Christmas habits and customs. For one, we have a "Declaration of Christmas peace" which will be annually announced in Turku at Christmas eve 24th of December at the time of 12 AM precisely. It's ancient declaration predating several centuries back. Declaration basically states that "Christmas time have begun, behave and enjoy it peacefully...or else". Yes, it literally has a straight threat to penalize any troublemakers with the highest degree of circumstansive evidence. No messing about Christmas peace in Finland, eh? Another funky Christmas habit we Finns have, is our everlasting fondness to put rock and metal music in everything...also in in traditional Christmas songs. No kidding, we even have annual "Heavy Christmas" (Raskasta Joulua) concert tour, where known Finnish rock and metal artists perform rock/metal arrangements of traditional Finnish and International Christmas songs. Example: Take a listen to this rockified version of classic "Little Drummer Boy" song from last year's "Heavy Christmas" concert in Helsinki Arena. Ethereal yet majestic. And those drums! And that guitar solo! Yeah, we Finns know how to rock...even the vintage Christmas songs. ^^ = Last hurrah for the year 2020= Year 2020 have been quite a wild ride. I want to thank for my fellow fighters, opponents and my team to make this journey as adventurous as it has been. Last but definitely least I want to thank my trusted fight organization Caged Warriors for putting faith in us young guns. Hopefully we have delivered this year. I sure keep grinding next year at least as hard as this one. May the winds be prosperous for all of us! "Learn from the past to make the best present for the future" - Leevi Saros 2020 Stones Diary, may continue in 2021 too...future is unknown.
  13. Looks like the "Finnish Philosopher" Leevi "Stones" Saros flattened out the cocky Indonesian eL IsoG in fiery rematch today. Match showcased everything needed to be said and done about Saros's skills and commitment. All was displayed in the octagon today. The Finn wanted to leave one of his trademark philosophical one-liners to eL IsoG after the fight: "May the peace rise from the ashes of war" - Leevi Saros 2020 PS. "Stones Diary part 3" coming out in coming days, where he shares more his thoughts about the rematch. Here is Part 1 and here Part 2.
  14. Will there be option for disabling ALL signatures (specially signatures with pictures)? There are some large pictures used by some members (which is perfectly fine) but it would be nice to see option to disable signatures from showing. This would greatly benefit the usability and responsivity of the forums to these users. Thank you + new forum looks cool!
  15. Offtopic, but answer is yes. Old southern-west Finnish proverb, which apparently came to a saying when witnessing sluggish worker at work. There are tons of old Finnish proverbs as I reckon every nation has their own. PS. Distant but in parts cousins to each others, Canada and Finland has more ways than one in common. Ice-hockey, winter, snow, resilience...and seemingly some ancient proverbs too ^^
