Chinny chin chin

There is a hidden that deals with decline. Age amount of days of injury and number of KOs all factor into this. It's all variable so there is no set point at which your fighter starts to decline.

Yeah general decline i get that i was talking like lets say 2 fights with granite chin a 30 yr old and a 21 yr old have 2 ko defeats its not a general that they both lose the same amount of chin strength? Could a guy be getting koed 2/3/4 times & it not effect him other than getting a ko loss? Could a guy get koed once & thats him finished

I've never actually thought about that. Best way i can think of is Bob Sapp. He still gets Ko'd just as often as he was younger. But I did have one fighter, who when he was younger he could take a punch. Then after 1/2 KO losses he started to get wrecked by jabs. So it is possible i think.

Well yeah thats standard hes not going to get koed less lol. But your second point makes sense in that he started getting koed easily(with a jab)

Some guys just don't get KO'd... or ever rocked. I've also seen guys with "granite chin" still showing in the TOTT with 12 KOs. Even if the formerly granite chin is gone, it seems like it'll still show on the tape.

Yeah i have a 36yr old who has never been KOed but my question is if he does get KOed will it be a huge hit to him because of his age & he got KOed or could he just brush it off?

This is a topic i havent seen or couldnt find so thought it would be interesting to find some facts

This. I think injuries play a big role in fighter decline, possibly just as much if not more than KO losses - but I could be wrong.

Chin and hiddens declines at a certain age "drop off age".

Also your granite chin could be useless if his heart is trash. He'll fold to a lot of TKOs.

One curious detail. I retired Bomb.Com when he was 36, his drop off age was 34 but his chin was still 150/150.

Yeah usually it's the lack of heart that makes KO's easier against Granite Chins, or fighting at HW/SHW where somebody is almost always KO'd in a fight, granite or not.

The hiddens that are showed are the hiddens that are rolled at creation. I think the deterioration impact is an unseen variable. Like fighter is X amount of years past prime, X % amount is subtracted from value.

Then why experience shows something like 147/150? Tbh, nowhere I have seen info on hiddens degrading with age.

Plus there would have been cases of granite chin turning into good/solid chin, no? Usually a granite chin switches to insanely flexible on tott when flexibility gets high enough, then when fighter gets old and losses skills, it goes back to granite chin.

I think it's a hidden variable. An unseen decrease/decline. Most likely a behind-the-scenes % decrease. Look at a lot of the top fighters, check out their age drop off, and check their records after that age drop off. Most of their wins come vs other fighters who are past their primes.

This might not be related. But KO power and chin increase with weight gain (micro % most likely), but you never see solid turn into granite.

Best to put on weight loss then? And move lower weight class? Or is he a bum? That would suck cuz he's fast learner and granite

At his height, no weight loss. If anything gain weight up to 264. More KO power, slightly better chin (micro decimals)...

You got gassed and beat up by the same heavy handed fighter with superior clinch... get your skills up. Take month or two to get skills to elite, physicals to sens or elite, whatever you feel necessary.

If he continues getting flopped by others, especially those with inferior skills, that's when you have more sample size to look at.

I'd guess that your fighter's heart isn't great. It's probably average. If you selected has heart at creation it's at the very minimum 31... it could be really high though, too early too tell, cuz both times KO'd came after being gassed.

nooooo... lol I think his heart is either good or his chin is as granite as they come lol because a couple fights ago the commentary said "Steele catches Dilbrandt with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!" My guy knocked him out about 30 seconds later.
