Pika-Powered Previews (+ Other Write Ups)

Seen a few threads like this, and thought it couldn't hurt to do it myself (among others, people like TheWolf's, Scoobyskyline's new thing and TheMould's CPA).

Just started doing Previews and Reviews for a couple of people, but most weren't of my usual standard. Started writing stuff of the minimum standard I like so thought why not.

As for the name, eh, why the hell not. Will be posting some of my more recent stuff and then any new stuff. Hope people like it, and if you are stuck for a writer for an event, PM me and I will help you out with one-off things since I already have on-going write up commitments.

TROID

Event: Forais Chruthaíonn IV

Date: 8th July 2014

Venue: Hayashi’s Lounge, London (2000)

Hello everyone, and welcome to Troid! We will be hopefully running regular previews and reviews regularly from now on and we hope you enjoy them. Our event we will be previewing is Forais Chruthaíonn IV, so let’s get right down to the action we will be looking at, in running order.

205lbs

Daniel Leone 1-0-0 (0-0-0) vs Philip Levasqua 2-6-0 (0-2-0)

Our first fight of the night puts Troid newcomer Daniel Leone against unfortunate Philip Levasqua. Leone is an intriguing individual. Despite it appearing his main strength is his stand up game, in his first fight, he used his wrestling to bring the fight to the ground and earn a decision win. He will need to be alert against the more experience Levasqua. Levasqua has superior wrestling but is currently on a 6 fight losing streak. He will be hoping to reverse his fortunes and pick up a win using his grappling.

PREDICTION: Leone wins via TKO in Round 1

170lbs

Bratt The Lion 1-3-0 (0-2-0) vs Eric Be 3-3-0 (0-2-0)

In this fight, we have two fighters with similar records in the Troid cage. Simply put, there is only one route to victory for both fighters here. The Lion needs the keep the fight standing and hope his Muay Thai can help him knock Be out. Be will need to use his wrestling to gain a position where he can execute a submission. Will be interesting to see both fighters strategies in the fights, and who the winner will be.

PREDICTION: Be wins via Sub in Round 1

185lbs

Paul Ming 4-3-0 (1-2-0) vs George Pierre 2-3-0 (1-3-0)

Two men who both have struggled as of late compete against each other in an attempt to change their fortunes in the Troid arena. Paul Ming has struggled to excel since he switched to MMA from KT. 1 win from 3 fights since signing for Troid, Ming has the perfect chance to get back to winning ways. From what we have seen of Ming, he likes to GnP his way to victory, but can also stand a fight. Pierre has yet to finish a fight, with both wins coming via decision. He looks to score points from stalling after gaining a takedown, and it will be hard for Ming to counter this.

PREDICTION: Ming wins via TKO in Round 2

205lbs

Magnus Svensson 2-1-0 (1-1-0 in Troid) vs Fraser Opie 2-0-0 (0-0-0)

Here we have Magnus Svensson taking on Troid debutant, Fraser Opie. Svensson is dangerous on his feet, showing good accuracy in his fights so far while also displaying his power to KO his opponents. He has an average ground game and a BJJ blue belt but we have not been able to witness his abilities in these areas yet. He may need to hope they are up to scratch against dangerous wrestler Fraser Opie. Opie has been dominant in his two fights so far, bringing his opponents to the ground before pounding them into unconsciousness. He has a solid chin which may be enough to keep him in this fight, but unless he gets the takedown, it will soon succumb to Svenssons power.

PREDICTION: Opie wins via TKO in Round 1

170lbs

Jack Milligan 4-5-0 (3-5-0) vs Jimmy Wallhead 2-2-0 (0-2-0)

This will be an interesting fight with both fighters skilled in multiple aspects. I expect Wallhead will try to go for a sub win again, while Milligan’s only KO win coming from a top position. I will be surprised if Milligan can pull off a sub win, but in MMA, anything can happen. This will be a close fight, where either fighter can win.

PREDICTION: Wallhead wins via Sub in Round 1

145lbs

Junior Borg 3-3-1 (2-2-1) vs Aoki Yoshidas 5-2-1 (1-0-1)

This is a highly anticipated rematch after their first bout was fought to a majority draw. Borg will again be looking to use his wrestling to keep the fight standing where they are evenly matched. Borg is dangerous standing, but Yoshidas is dangerous in all areas. This could receive Of The Night honours in any of the 3 categories.

PREDICTION: Yoshidas wins via Sub in Round 3

170lbs

Dave Matthews 5-6-0 (4-4-0) vs Alexandre Ribeiro 6-2-0 (2-0-0)

Matthews will want to use his stand up game in order to defeat dangerous submission specialist Ribeiro. Matthews is the more experienced fighter, and will want to use that to his advantage. Ribeiro will be looking to extend his undefeated Troid record against Matthews, and woud love to do that with another submission. This could be an interesting fight, but it will require both fighters to be on top of their games.

PREDICTION: Ribeiro wins via Sub in Round 1

185lbs

Nick Clark 3-1-0 (2-1-0) vs Owen Williams 4-0-0 (3-0-0)

This fight hinges on one factor: will Williams be able to instigate the clinch? Williams has shown his devastation in the clinch, and Clark will need to avoid it like the plague. One thing I believe will help decide the fight will be Clark’s lack of morale, and that is what I am basing my prediction on.

PREDICTION: Williams wins via KO in Round 1

Co-Main Event: 185lbs

Lugh Blackburn 4-1-0 (4-1-0) vs Robb Wells 5-0-0 (0-0-0)

There aren’t many tougher challenges Wells could have faced in his first fight in Troid, but Wells has the ability to challenge at the top immediately. Blackburn is a top contender in the division, and will capitalise on any mistakes Wells makes in the fight, meaning a KO can come from anywhere. Blackburn will also need to be aware of Wells superb ground game. This fight will be completely one sided, the only question, is which side it will fall on.

PREDICTION: Blackburn wins via TKO in round 1

MAIN EVENT: 205lbs

Jackb Jhanssn 6-1-0 (2-0-0) vs Thors Hammer 7-1-0 (3-0-0)

We have an absolute belter of a Main Event here. Reigning champ Jhanssn dominated previous champion Earl Grey not once, but twice! He has the ability to trouble any opponent, being skilled in all aspects of MMA. We know how good the champ is on his feet, but how good is he on the ground? If there ever was a man to test this out, Thors Hammer is the man to do it. Hammer won a tournament, beating 3 other men to be crowned the #1 contender for the title. After winning the tournament, he was inexplicably sacked by his manager at the time, Will Stuart. Fortunately for Hammer, he has been picked up by Guy Mezger, and it will be interesting to see if there is any change in his sliders. This has the potential to be a great battle if Hammer can get the fight to the ground, but if he doesn’t, then I am afraid there will only be one result.

PREDICTION: Jhanssn wins via KO in round 1 and remains the Light-Heavyweight Champion!

Well, that is our preview for the event, with a great card lined up. Be on the lookout in the forums for your chance to smack talk your opponent, give a longer post fight speech, and call out your next opponent!

TROID REVIEW: Forais Chruthaíonn IV

Hey everyone, it was another fantastic event for Troid last Sunday with the 205lbs title on the line in the main event and a whole host of other talent involved as well. Here we round up the results and what happened during the fights

Levasqua def. Leon via Majority Decision

Bit of an odd battle here as Leone took Levasqua to the ground, only for Levasqua to overrun him with submission attempts. In a fight that could have gone either way, Levasqua did enough to convince the judges to give him the win.

Be def. The Lion via Kimura in Round 2

The Lion dominated Be in the first round, using the clinch to full effect. Unfortunately, he could not maintain that in the second round. Be gained the clinch in the second and after The Lion hit him with a few shots, Be took him to the ground where he maintained his position to lock in a kimura and earn him a win.

Milligan def. Wallhead via TKO (Strikes) in Round 1

Milligan showed no mercy in this fight as he used the clinch to take Wallhead down before unleashing a devastating barrage of strikes to finish the fight. No more needs to be said other than Milligan will be looking up the division to see who else he can refigure with his GnP.

Ming def. Pierre via TKO (Punches) in Round 1

Ming was in lethal form here, taking Pierre down before stalling to drain Pierre. Once the fight was stood up, Ming unleashed a deadly combo of Jab-Hook-Hook to down Pierre before the referee jumped in to stop the fight.

Svensson def. Opie via KO (Head Kick) in Round 1

Svensson had this fight controlled from start to finish. Opie never threw a single strike, while in comparison, Svensson didn’t miss a single shot. Svensson knocked Opie down with an uppercut before waving him to his feet. As soon as Opie was up, he hit him with a body shot before unleashing a devastating head kick that earned him KO of the Night honours.

Borg def. Yoshidas via KO (Punches) in Round 3

The rematch between these two after their first bout ended in a draw. This fight was another good bout between these two. The first round was close, with both fighters staking a claim for the round. Aoki Yoshidas took control of the 2nd round and as it seemed Yoshidas would close out a decision win, Borg knocked him down with a HUGE combo. As Yoshidas got back to his feet, Borg hit another huge combo to knock Yoshidas out cold! It will be interesting to see how Yoshidas recovers from this.

Riberio def. Matthews via Armbar in Round 1

Riberio made short work of Matthews in spectacular fashion. After a brief opening period with both fighters feeling each other out, Riberio quickly gained the clinch, pulled guard and then executed an armbar to pick up the win and the Sub of the Night bonus for his fantastic display of BJJ.

Williams def. Clark via TKO (Strikes) in Round 3

A fantastic battle here between two skilled fighters which earned Fight of the Night. Williams had the first two rounds won in the eyes of the commentator before finishing Clark in the third. A thunderous head kick rocked Clark, and soon after, Williams cracked Clark with a huge right hand which sent Clark to his knees. After a few more shots the referee called the fight off to give Williams the win.

Blackburn def. Wells via KO (Punches) in Round 1

This fight lasted less than a minute, and you could see how it would go within the opening seconds with Blackburn opening up a cut quickly on Wells. Just as Wells looked winded, Blackburn unleashed a monster combo which put Wells out with immediate effect. With another win under his belt, Williams is looking at the title in the near future after keeping his perfect MMA Career intact.

Jhanssn def. Hammer via TKO (Cut) in Round 1 to remain the Light-Heavyweight Champion!

Is there anybody in the 205lbs division right now who can challenge Jhanssn? The guy has been dominating in every fight he has fought in Troid, and he showed no signs of letting up here. I said in the preview that Hammer will only win if he can bring Jhanssn to the mat, and Hammer couldn’t do it. The champ displayed good wrestling to keep it on the feet, giving Hammer a nasty cut which got to the point that the doctor has to call off the fight. It is a shame for Hammer, but a big win for the champ.

That is it from me here at Troid HQ, join me next time where I will be Previewing Troid: Forais Chruthaíonn V to take place next Sunday!

TROID: Forais Chruthaíonn V

Date: 15th July 2014

Venue: Hayashi’s Lounge, London (2000)

Hey everyone, and welcome to another Preview we have for you. This time, we are previewing FC: V which will feature 9 fights from Troid regulars along with a fight consisting of one fighter from each of Troids owners! We will also crown a NEW Lightweight Champion so let’s get right to the action.

Nate Lamb 0-0-0 (0-0-0) vs Jan Lamiglat 0-1-0 (0-0-0)

Interesting battle here as we see two fighters make their Troid debuts, and one of them making their professional debut. Lamiglat never got to showcase his abilities in his last fight so he will be looking to make up for that here. If he is unable to take Lamb down then he will be unable to win. Close fight to call this one.

PREDICTION: Lamiglat to win via Submission in Round 1

Hank Marvin 2-5-0 (1-5-0) vs Rohan Khan 2-3-0 (0-0-0)

Marvin will be looking to take Khan down to the ground, where he has the advantage. He is on a horrible 5 fight losing streak, and will need to avoid the punches of Khan in order to break that. Khan will be looking to make a statement in the division by picking up the win against Marvin.

PREDICTION: Khan to win via TKO in Round 2

Titus Andronicus 1-0-0 (0-0-0) vs Cian Chulainn 2-2-1 (0-0-0)

Here we have the owner vs owner fight in Troid! My own Titus Andronicus will be squaring off against Craig Brophy’s Cian Chulainn. Chulainn will be looking to take Titus down, but may fancy his chances in the stand up, going against a fighter 4 years younger than him! Titus will be looking to score a KO win early, in an attempt to end it before he is tired and becomes an easy victim to a takedown. I am going to have to go with my own guy on this one, despite the obvious disadvantage he has.

PREDICTION: Andronicus to win via KO in Round 1

Yuri Solvynov 1-1-0 (1-1-0) vs Tyrone Woodley 1-3-0 (1-0-0)

This battle will be going straight to the ground, but it will be interesting to see who gains the dominant positon. Woodley will require a dominant position more in order to utilise his GnP, while Solvynov will be looking to gain a dominant position for his subs, but will be confident in being able to submit Woodley from his back. I anticipate a good back and forth battle between these two.

PREDICTION: Solvynov to win via Sub in Round 2

Adam Ali 3-1-0 (0-0-0) vs Brian Jenen 6-5-0 (2-3-0)

Good match up here as Ali takes on Jenen. Ali seems to prefer tiring out his opponents by slamming them down. He has scored a KO with a slam and also a KO through tiring his opponent and counter punching. Jenen loves scoring submission wins, so Ali will have to be careful not to be caught by “The Captain” after taking him down. The factor that may decide this fight is Jenen seems tired before the fight so Ali may be active in wearing him down.

PREDICTION: Ali to win via Unanimous Decision

Wheasy Whee 5-4-0 (3-2-0) vs Brad Norvell 1-1-0 (1-0-0)

Dangerous ground fighter Whee will be looking to win against surprise package Norvell. Whee has demonstrated his ability to win in a variety of ways on the ground and will be looking to use that experience to win against Norvell. Norvell surprised everyone, including me, when he was ranked bottom of the division, and he defeated the #1 ranked guy in the division in JG Wentworth. It will be interesting to see Norvell, primarily a wrestler, adapting to Whees ability on the ground. This will be a close fight, and one fans will be watching eagerly.

PREDICTION: Whee to win via Submission in Round 2

Carlos Centurion 4-0-1 (0-0-0) vs Felix Storm 4-0-0 (0-0-0)

Here we have two highly skilled, undefeated fighters making their Troid debuts. Centurion has displayed great striking, winning two fights via TKO Cut and another by Submission Strikes. He seems to favour the clinch, which will be interesting as he goes against dangerous grappler Storm. Storm will be looking to utilise his wrestling to compliment his BJJ skills. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this bout.

PREDICTION: Centurion to win via TKO (Cut) in Round 2

LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT

Jack Olin 4-0-0 (4-0-0) vs Elijah Hart 3-2-0 (3-0-0)

Here we have our lightweight championship between Jack Olin and Elijah Hart. Olin will be looking to use his fantastic wrestling to get him into a position to GnP Hart out and win him the fight. The one place he may lose is Hart can win in all areas. Hart has won a fight via TKO and 2 fights via Sub. It is important that Olin doesn’t get caught by Harts submission while he attempts to turn him into a pancake.

PREDICTION: Hart to win via Submission in Round 1 and become the Lightweight Champion!

CO-MAIN EVENT

Matt Green 4-0-0 (4-0-0) vs Lane Brooks 6-4-0 (3-0-0)

“The Gravy Raven” has been a hugely popular figure since joining the Troid ranks, scoring impressive wins over a number of top contenders. He will be looking to use his BJJ to score a win over his toughest competitor to date. Brooks has shown his ability to win from a variety of positions, kicks, knees and submissions. If Green manages to take him down, he will be looking to use his Submissions to score a win.

PREDICTION: Brooks to win via Submission in Round 1

MAIN EVENT - #1 Contenders Fight

Lexington Snape 11-5-0 (4-1-0) vs Epi Fongua 4-2-0 (3-0-0)

This fight is to decide the #1 contender to Charles Blackburn’s title at Slider Kings and whoever wins will be a worthy contender. Snape has done well since losing to Blackburn, scoring 2 wins in the process. Fongua will be his toughest challenge so far, and Snape will be looking to use his clinch to cause some serious damage to Fongua. Fongua has been impressive since signing for Troid, scoring 2 KO wins. Fongua will be looking to avoid the clinch and strike from distance. It will be another case of who gains the preferred position will win the fight.

PREDICTION: Snape to win via TKO in Round 2

That is it from me for another event from Troid, as we build up to the next Slider Kings event which will feature EVERY CHAMPIONSHIP BELT on the line so be prepared for a fantastic event which will be coming up this weekend!

EVIL EMPIRE: ST PETERSBURG: E19

Date: 15th June 2014

Arena: The Docks, 5000 seater

Hey everyone, and welcome to the first preview for Evil Empire (formerly Evolution Fighting Championship) under its new management. We will be looking at the fights taking place, along with what is needed for each fighter to win, and lastly, a prediction for who will win! *numbers in brackets indicate their record in the org.

Alexander Barsov 1-1-0 (1-1-0) vs Jay Roza 2-1-0 (0-1-0)

It appears the Barsov is more comfortable fighting on his feet, with no takedown attempts in his first two fights. He may need to look to take the fight to the ground against Roza however, where he holds a slight advantage. Barsovs win comes after being slammed to the mat, regaining a good position before gaining some GnP to pick up the win. Roza is a dangerous stand up fighter, with both of his KO wins coming from nasty scenarios. He suffered defeat in his last bout but will be looking to move past that and score another KO win.

PREDICTION: Roza to win via KO in Round 1

Dor Fisher 2-0-0 (0-0-0) vs Joey Guerilla 4-0-0 (1-0-0)

Fisher seems to have good conditioning, judging on the fact he has won 2 fights that have entered the third round. His last win will give him confidence, having won through landing some big knees in the clinch. It looks like he will be going to stand and fight against Guerilla, who has won his last 2 fights via KO, with his last coming from a big left hook that will give him confidence that he can KO Fisher at any time. This will be a great fight on the undercard.

PREDICTION: Guerilla to win via TKO in Round 1

Antero Kannas 2-1-0 (2-0-0) vs Nonfu Lakalaka 3-0-0 (1-0-0)

Two highly skilled fighters battle each other here, and you can see where each fighter has the advantage. Kannas will be looking to avoid Lakalaka deadly striking by using his wrestling to bring the fight to the ground, where he has the advantage. He has yet to win by finishing his opponent but will be looking to make a statement by doing that to Lakalaka. Lakalaka has been outstanding in his first 3 fights, finishing them all via KO! Not TKO, but KO, meaning his opponent was out before the ref could do anything. He has yet to experience a fight outside the first round so it could be interesting to see how good his conditioning is but he will be looking to finish it before it comes to that.

PREDICTION: Lakalaka to win via KO in Round 1

Time Bomb 8-4-0 (0-2-0) vs John White 7-5-0 (0-1-0)

This fight will be interesting as GnP specialist Time Bomb squares off against Submission expert John White. We all know where this fight will take place, we just don’t know who will gain superiority and ultimately, the finish. This fight is tough to call, with both fighters demonstrating good ability, but just not getting the luck they need.

PREDICTION: Bomb to win via KO in Round 2

Sinan Yak 8-1-0 (0-1-0) vs Tamba Watson 9-3-0 (0-0-0)

Another fight that looks good on paper, but it begs the question of can they deliver? Yak seems to prefer to GnP his way to victory, while Watson has superior boxing and has a submission record to boot. I believe the different between these fighters will be Watson’s ability to finish in more areas.

PREDICTION: Watson to win via Sub in Round 3

Bill Hicks 6-5-0 (2-1-0) vs Mason Kane 6-2-0 (1-1-0)

We seem to have a plethora of fighters who love utilising GnP as we have another one in Hicks. He will be facing a dangerous striker in Kane who will be looking to use his wrestling to keep the fight on the feet and outskill Hicks. I can’t see Hicks managing to get a takedown before Kane lands some telling blows.

PREDICTION: Kane to win via KO in Round 1

Long Wang 7-3-0 (1-1-0) vs Dawid Roznicz 6-4-0 (0-2-0)

If there is any chance of Roznicz winning this fight, he will need to avoid the fight coming down to the ground. Wang has been devastating on the ground, displaying incredible GnP and BJJ on the ground. Roznicz saving grace has been his ability to KO people on the feet so he has a slim chance of pulling off the win on the feet, or he may go for the takedown and fancy his chances.

PREDICTION: Wang to win via Sub in Round 1

Johnny Freedom 18-4-0 (0-0-0) vs Bobby McBobby 19-9-1 (2-0-0)

A big fight as we can expect a stand up war between these two veterans. McBobby has finished more fights and appears to have the edge on the feet, but will he be able to crush Freedom who has never been finished. This will be a great fight, and I imagine it being the luck of the draw as to who wins.

PREDICTION: Freedom to win via KO in Round 2

Tom Ryan 13-3-0 (2-0-0) vs Luke Kilpatrick 14-4-1 (1-0-0)

Another big fight here in EE’s first event since the takeover. Two very highly skilled fighters who will both be looking to prove they are dominant in the stand up as they seem to prefer it. Both fighters have good chins with Ryan’s being Granite and Kilpatrick’s being Solid. That may be the only difference between them but this fight will come down to who has the better sliders.

PREDICTION: Ryan to win via KO in Round 2

Dimentiy Boykin 25-19-0 (0-1-0) vs Zell Griever 18-7-0 (0-0-0)

If ever there was a great fight to close a show, this is it. Boykin is one of the deadliest grapplers I have ever seen with Elite Wrestling AND a RED belt. He will be up against a deadly striker in Zell Griever, who has Elite Boxing and Sensational Muay Thai. Grievers Sensational wrestling may be enough to keep him on his feet where he can deal out his favourite form of damage. It may be because he brings me back to one of my favourite childhood games, but I have a gut instinct about which fighter will win this.

PREDICTION: Griever to win via KO in Round 2

That is it from EE’s first event since the rebranding and it promises to be an absolute belter of an event which will send the audience in attendance home with smiles on their faces. Look for the review which will be appearing shortly after the event, and also for our AUDIO RECAP that will be done which is the first of its kind to be undertaken in MMA Tycoon!

TROID - Forais Chruthaíonn V Review

Arena: Hayashi’s Lounge (2000)

Attendance: 1680

Event Rating: 114.33

Hey everyone, and welcome to another Troid event as we take a look back at this past weekend’s event in London. This event featured some serious finishes, including a 5 second KO and a new Featherweight Champion! Let’s get right down to the action, as we look at where it went wrong for some fighters, and where it went completely to plan!

Nate Lamb def. Jan Lamiglat via Unanimous Decision

Nearly all of this fight was spent in the clinch, with Lamiglat attempting to use it to take the fight to the ground. Overall, Lamiglat failed with 33 takedowns, 23 of which were in the clinch. Lamb used his time to land strikes, using punches, elbows and knees all to good effect. This was a relatively easy decision for the judges in the end, with only one fighter landing the shots throughout the fight.

Hank Marvin def. Rohan Khan via Submission (RNC) in Round 1

Marvin dictated this fight from start to finish, scoring a takedown early before standing up after deciding his position in Khan’s guard wasn’t a good one. Straight after standing, he scored a double leg into half guard before advancing to mount. He took Khan’s back from there, and after a brief struggle, managed to sink in the submission. Marvin’s dominance was demonstrated by Khan not having a single offensive manoeuvre throughout the fight.

Cian Chulainn def. Titus Andronicus via Unanimous Decision

Andronicus came out swinging, looking to end Chulainn early, but got caught out by the Takedown Counter often, and that is what decided the fight. Chulainn kept his composure on the floor, having a good mixture of controlling and striking. Craig Brophy wins the battle of the owners, and it will be interesting to see if there are more of the same in the future.

Tyrone Woodley def. Yury Solovynov via KO (Punch) in Round 1

The saying “Don’t blink or you will miss it” is very much applicable to this fight. The scary part is that Woodley is primarily a wrestler, with his boxing skills still in the early stages of their refinement. After the bell rang, the only action that occurred was Woodley and Solovynov touching gloves before Woodley unleashed a one-two combo that knocked Solovynov out cold! One of the famed 5 second KO’s in the game, it is a scary thought that if Woodley can do this at this level, how good can he get when he trains further! Such a fantastic KO earned Woodley the knockout of the night honours.

Adam Ali def. Brian Jenen via Unanimous Decision

Quite a slow-paced fight here, with both fighters looking to score points and try an easy way to win. Ali came off best here, scoring more takedowns and hitting ground strikes in order to win each round. With all rounds going for Ali, it is a good win for him, but not a big defeat for Jenen who will not be too disheartened by his performance and should feel confident with a bit more work in the gym.

Wheasy Whee def. Brad Norvell via Submission (Armbar) in Round 1

Big shock result here, as Whee managed to win this fight when it looked like he was going out. Norvell cut, rocked and knocked Whee down to the mat, but got caught when he tried to go in for the kill. Whee managed to catch Norvell in a triangle and quickly transitioned into an Armbar to gain the win. It was a fantastic submission from Whee which earned him Submission of the Night.

Carlos Centurion def. Felix Storm via KO (Head Kick) in Round 1

Another fantastic KO win which very nearly earned KO of the Night had it not been for the speed at which Woodley won his fight. Centurion did the damage in the Thai Clinch, opening a cut badly before dropping Storm with a big knee. Storm managed to escape to his feet, but before he could find his balance, Centurion unleashed a MONSTER HEAD KICK which finished the fight there and then. I could have sworn I saw Storm rise a few inches off the floor just from the force of it and Centurion just showed what a scary guy he is with the smile on his face after seeing the damage he did.

145 LBS CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT!

Jack Olin def. Elijah Hart via TKO (Strikes) in Round 3

What a fight we had here for the Featherweight title! This fight just showed how much both fighters wanted it and it earned Fight of the Night for both fighters! Hart had the better of the first two rounds, utilising leg kicks and body punches to help him to get his takedowns but he was unable to get a submission in. Hart rocked Olin with a right hand, but Olin gained a takedown into side control. He advanced to mount and unloaded with strikes, and Hart eventually succumbed to crown Jack Olin as our new Featherweight Champion!

CO-MAIN EVENT - #1 Contenders Fight

Matt Green def. Lane Brooks via Submission (Kimura) in Round 1

Brooks had a good idea of trying to utilise leg kicks to take away Green’s takedown ability, but it was not enough. After having the better of the standup, Green managed to get a takedown into Brooks guard. He eventually managed to transition into side control, and after maintaining his position for a while, managed to get hold of Brooks arm. After a bit of a struggle, Green got his leg over Brooks head to really apply pressure and gain a great win.

MAIN EVENT

Lexington Snape def. Epi Fongua via TKO (Cut) in Round 2

Snape continued to show how dangerous of a fighter he is by beating highly regarded Fongua. After Lex dealt some damage in the clinch, including the initial cut, Fongua managed to break the clinch and went on to dominate the round, winning the round according to the commentator. However, within 2mins of the second round, Snape had the clinch again, and brutalised Fongua with knees and elbows to the point that his cut was pouring with blood. Unfortunately, the doctor called off the fight to award the win to Snape.

With another solid event put on show, we move closer to Slider Kings, which will have EVERY title on the line, and will be held in the 7000-seater Camden Conference Centre. We have a WTG event next week which will be another big event, and I look forward to writing about it soon.

TROID 24: Slider Kings

DATE: 28th June 2014

ARENA: Camden Conference Centre (7,000 seater)

MERCH PARTNER: Bad Man Clothing (Nothing over $40) , Rio

Good evening everyone and welcome to our preview of Troid’s event, Slider Kings. This is a highly anticipated event, with every division title on the line, so the future of each division will be decided. Unfortunately, there will only be 9 fights taking place instead of the usual 10 due to delays in managers accepting fights, but we are optimistic about the potential of this event. Let’s get right down to the fights taking place, along with our own analysis and prediction of each one.

FIGHT #1 – Lightweight Division

Kasper Koltun 1-2-0 (1-1-0) vs Lane Brooks 6-5-0 (3-1-0)

A good solid fight here, as the talented, but inexperienced, Kasper Koltun takes on the more experienced Lane Brooks. Koltun has not enjoyed the best start to his career in MMA, losing his first fight before signing with Troid, and then going 1-1 in his first two fights. He will be looking to make a statement when he takes on Lane Brooks, who was just one fight away from a title shot. Brooks has shown variety in his finishing, something Koltun will have to be wary of, as Brooks can finish the fight anywhere. This will be a tough one to call, with Koltun having the edge in skill, but Brooks has proved himself in the cage already.

PREDICTION: Brooks to win via Sub in Round 2

FIGHT #2 – Featherweight Division – TITLE FIGHT

Jack Olin 5-0-0 (5-0-0) vs Junior Borg 4-3-1 (3-2-1)

Our first title fight of the night takes place in the Featherweight Division, with reigning champ Jack Olin taking on dangerous striking Junior Borg. The key to winning for each fighter is simple. Olin is a sensational wrestler, and he uses that to good effect in order to work his opponents to the ground. We have yet to see him win via Sub, which makes it interesting to see if this will be the fight we see one. Borg is renowned for his striking, and unless Olin can take him to the mat, I don’t expect to see him standing off his opponent. Expect strikes to fly from Borg as he looks to capture the Featherweight title from Olin. An interesting point is that these two have already fought, with Olin picking up his only unanimous decision win to date.

PREDICTION: Olin to win via TKO in Round 2

FIGHT #3 – Heavyweight Division

Roger Munro 6-2-1 (3-1-0) vs Jack Bronson 5-1-0 (0-0-0)

Here we have two standup fighters with different approaches colliding. Munro has been in good form with Troid, winning his first 3 fights before suffering loss in his last bout. He will be looking to strike at range against dangerous clinch specialist Jack Bronson. Bronson has run through his opponents, forcing two to tap out to strikes and another two to be ended by viciously cutting them with his clinch striking. If Munro can keep this at range, he should be able to win this one.

PREDICTION: Munro to win via KO in Round 1

FIGHT #4 – Light-Heavyweight Division

Thors Hammer 7-2-0 (3-1-0) vs Magnus Svensson 3-1-0 (2-1-0)

It looks to be battle of the hammers here as “Mjölnir” takes on “The Hammer”. Hammer had a rough outing in his last fight, losing to the reigning 205lbs champion via Cut. He will be looking to reverse his fortunes and get back into the title hunt with a win here. His opponent, Svensson, fared better last time out, picking up a win and a KO of the Night bonus. He will be looking to keep it standing against the superior wrestler and aim to earn another OTN bonus.

PREDICTION: Svensson to win via TKO in Round 1

FIGHT #5 – Middleweight Division – TITLE FIGHT

Henry Hiena 4-0-0 (4-0-0) vs Lugh Blackburn 5-1-0 (5-1-0)

Here we have Hiena defending his Middleweight title for the first time since he won it. He is skilled in all areas but seems to prefer taking the fight into the clinch where he lets his striking do the talking for him. He may be thinking about taking the fight to the ground however, where he holds a significant advantage. His opponent, Lugh Blackburn, has been in vigorous form since he lost in his first fight, winning his last 5 fights, with all of them via TKO or KO. He will be looking to use his boxing to earn him another win, and place him on top of the mountain.

PREDICTION: Hiena to win via TKO in Round 1 and remain the Middleweight Champion!

FIGHT #6 – Lightweight Division – TITLE FIGHT

Matt Green 5-0-0 (5-0-0) vs Wheesy Whee 6-4-0 (4-2-0)

We will crown a new Lightweight champion here, as two of the best in the division collide. Matt Green will be putting his undefeated streak on the line in order to win the title. He seems to have discovered a winning formula, facing a variety of opponents and none of them have been able to stop him. We have yet to see his devastating Camel Clutch, but I won’t be surprised if he springs it out here. He will have to beware of Wheesy Whee’s ground game however, with Whee showing his ability to strike and submit in equal measure from this position. Both fighters will be looking to gain a dominant ground position, so don’t be surprised by a lack of standup strikes thrown.

PREDICTION: Green to win via Submission and become the LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION

FIGHT #7 – Welterweight Division – TITLE FIGHT

Carlo Froch 7-0-0 (6-0-0) vs Roberto Blanco 7-4-0 (7-4-0)

Despite Carlo Froch defeating Roberto Blanco twice before, he has never finished him, Blanco being the only man to go the distance with Froch. This makes for an interesting fight, with the main question being how much has Blanco improved since last time? Froch will be looking to keep his undefeated streak alive, and looking to break his KO problem against Blanco. If Blanco can defeat Froch, we will be looking at potential shock of the night, with Froch looking almost undefeatable in his previous fights. I can see this fight potentially going the distance again, but really, anything can happen in this fight.

PREDICTION: Froch to win via KO in Round 3 and remain the Welterweight Champion!

FIGHT #8 – Light-Heavyweight Division – TITLE FIGHT

Jackb Jhanssn 7-1-0 (3-0-0) vs Jim Cain 3-0-0 (2-0-0)

The one problem for anybody looking to beat the reigning champ, is how do you deal with his versatility? We have seen him display his skill in the stand up and the clinch, and with him seeming to be solid on the ground as well, he doesn’t seem to have a weakness. Jim Cain will be looking to use his fists to earn him another win. He hasn’t had a fight leave the first round, but from what we know, he has a good gas tank that could help him in the later rounds. With a variety of factors, this fight could finish in a lot of different ways.

PREDICTION: Jhanssn to win via TKO in Round 2 and remain the Light-Heavyweight Champion!

FIGHT #9 – Heavyweight Division – TITLE FIGHT

Charles Blackburn 10-2-0 (5-0-0) vs Lexington Snape 12-5-0 (5-1-0)

A highly anticipated rematch here, with Blackburn handing Snape his only loss while in Troid. Blackburn will be looking to keep his winning streak alive, and his title at his home, by submitting Snape once again. He can damage his opponents with his Ground and Pound as well, so Snape will have to be wary of any offense while on the ground. Snape’s wrestling has improved his wrestling since then, giving him a good chance to keep the fight where he has the advantage. He has finished his last 3 opponents since the first fight with Blackburn, and will look to keep that going. This is the most anticipated fight of the night, which says something considering the amount of title fights on the line.

PREDICTION: Snape to win via TKO and to become the NEW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!

That is it from me here at Troid HQ, be sure to look out for the results of the event today, and be on the lookout for not only the Review of the event, but also our NEW update of the Troid Rankings, where you will be able to see if your fighter is in the upper reaches of the Org, with a watch list also being included to spot the future challengers.

That is it from me, and I hope you enjoyed this preview!

Forbidden Violence #26 Review

Date: 5th July 2014

Arena: MMA Grand

Attendance: 16560

Fight OTN: Lester Green vs Lyoto Parks

KO OTN: Karl Pilkington

Sub OTN: Kermit Earlandson

Hello everyone and welcome to our Review of Forbidden Violence’s latest event! I am the new (returning) writer for Forbidden Violence, Grant Brophy, and I look forward to reviewing these fights and analysing the results. With another huge event taking place, we have a lot to talk about!

FIGHT #1 – Lightweight Bout

Karl Pilkington def. Jeremy Henderson via KO (Head Kick) at 1:51 in Round 3

Henderson’s attempts to psyche the less experienced Pilkington out, by tweaking his nipples before the fight, did not work as he didn’t work as he suffered a brutal defeat in this epic. Pilkington had the first 2 rounds in the bag, and did not let up with his persistence paying off. Softening Henderson up with a crisp one-two combo, Pilkington demonstrated his persistence by following up a brutal head kick that just missed, with an even more monstrous strike that nearly took Henderson’s head off! It will be interesting to see what Pilkington’s next move is, as his Forbidden Violence contract came to an end and he is now a free agent. Henderson on the other hand plummets to the bottom of the Lightweight Rankings, and will need to pull himself up if he wants to climb the rankings!

FIGHT #2 – Featherweight Division

Tico Cortez def. Teddy Bass via Unanimous Decision

It started well for Bass, as he took the first round on all 3 judge’s scorecards. Unfortunately, he was not prepared for what Cortez had planned, as he was taken down and controlled, leaving no chance for him to affect anything. Similar to the last fight, this loss leaves Bass at the bottom of the featherweight division. He will need to work on his skills if he wants to succeed. Cortez will also need to improve, as he will face higher skilled fighters who will not be so easy to control on the ground. A good win for Cortez overall, and he will be happy to be looking up the division rather than down.

FIGHT #3 – Lightweight Division

Thioon Phitch def. Nycky Downtime via TKO (Strikes) at 2:22 in Round 2

I am calling this one the “Battle of the Afros” and the writing was on the wall within seconds as Phitch hit a perfect one-two combo which knocked and rocked Downtime to the mat. Downtime did well to survive the first round, however, Phitch came out like a man possessed, hitting Downtime in the standing and then decimating him in the clinch. Eventually, Phitch decided he had enough and hit Downtime with something reminiscent of Bruce Lee’s six-inch punch which knocked him flat. He then transformed and went on a Chuck Liddell rampage, teeing off on Downtime, who eventually succumbed and the referee had no choice but to end the fight. Phitch will be delighted to move up the rankings, while Downtime will be disappointed to have been outperformed in this outing.

FIGHT #4 – Featherweight Division

Jamie Reyes def. Romano Schoots via Unanimous Decision

This fight was overall, a bit one sided. Schoots didn’t manage to win a single round in the fight, with his best being scored a 10-10 round. The first round took place in the clinch, with Reyes getting the better of the encounter. Schoots changed tactics in the second round, scoring a takedown where it was a closer fight, however, Reyes still scored better on the judge’s scorecards. The third fight returned to standing, where Reyes continued to dominate. His fighter will be delighted with his performance as he outshone his opponent in the fight, and it will be interesting to see how Schoots bounces back from this defeat.

FIGHT #5 – Heavyweight Division

Ashley Harrington def. Hug Raction via TKO (Strikes) at 0:56 in Round 3

A great fight overall, and a contender for Fight of the Night! Both fighters used the first round to feel each other out, before it exploded in the second round. Both fighters received cuts as they attempted to gain the upper hand. With the scoring close, both fighters winning a round each, the third round was a change of pace. Harrington rocked Raction with a single jab before ducking out of range. He then landed a crisp straight left which dropped Raction. The ref was forced to stop the fight seconds later as Harrington threw relentless shots to an unconscious Raction to pick up the win. Interestingly, Raction was sacked by his manager so it will be interesting to see if he finds a new manager, or if he will call time on his career.

FIGHT #6 – Middleweight Division

Hamad Al Zahran def. Mr Chrome via Split Decision

A good back-and-forth fight between these two as Al Zahran managed to win this fight by Split Decision. He was cut in the first round by Mr Chrome, but managed to just pip the round on two of the judge’s scorecards, which would prove decisive. Chrome managed to utilise the takedown to control the fight in Round 2, but was unable to do the same in Round 3. Al Zahran used a takedown to control the early portion of the third round and then the clinch. When Chrome managed to escape from the clinch, he had no energy left to muster enough offense to swing the fight back in his favour.

FIGHT #7 – Middleweight Division

Kermit Earlandson def. Jase Robertson via Sub (Armbar) at 4:59 in Round 1

It started poorly for Earlandson, as he could have been knocked out with the first strike of the fight! A big head kick opened up a cut and sent him tumbling to the mat. Robertson could not capitalise on this and was taken down shortly past the first minute. One of the highlights of the fight came just past the second minute when Earlandson shot a huge snot rocket onto Robertson’s shoulder. Earlandson held side control for a while before Robertson hit the sweep to be in Earlandson’s half guard. After a brief struggle where Robertson advanced to side control and Earlandson regained half guard, Earlandson attempted to gain full guard, he slipped, allowing Robertson to gain mount. After a struggle, Earlandson managed to gain full guard and straight away moved to the side a locked on an armbar! The pain was too much to bear and Robertson was forced to tap. He will be disappointed to learn he tapped only 1 second away from the end of the round.

FIGHT #8 – Featherweight Division

Fei Yue def. Aigars Senko via Unanimous Decision

Senko managed to survive an early takedown scare to control the fight on the feet, cracking Yue with a few good shots to take the round. The second round was closer, with Senko controlling the early exchanges, but not landing anything significant. Yue gained a takedown and held his position well, earning enough to win the round. The third round went much the same way, with Senko aggressive in the early exchanges but not landing any significant strikes. Yue gained the clinch, and from there, it was completely one sided. Yue threw punches left-right-centre, and it showed when he rocked Senko. He was unable to finish him, but he did enough to win the round to earn the Unanimous Decision win.

CO-MAIN EVENT

FIGHT #9 – Featherweight Division- FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

Lyoto Parks and Lester Green fight to a Majority Draw

This has to be a contender for the org’s Fight of the Year! A 5 round epic in which both fighters deserved to win, and neither fighter deserved to lose, so a draw was probably the best result. This was an epic that showed nearly all facets of an MMA fight with the fight taking place standing, in the clinch and on the ground. With so much action, it is hard to break it all down. Overall, Parks won the first round for his control in the clinch. Green won the second round after controlling Parks for the majority of the round. Green continued that domination in the third round, controlling on the ground. The fourth was a close round, with both fighters instigating the clinch at different points and using it to good effect. The entire fifth round was spent on the ground, and was a close fight with Parks just edging it. Two judges scored it a draw, leaving Parks as the champ and almost certainly setting up a rematch after such an epic!

MAIN EVENT

FIGHT #10 – Welterweight Division

Manfred von Richthofen def. Mikio Okita via Unanimous Decision

Another great fight in this event, and we actually got a winner in this one! Okita did well to score takedowns in the first two rounds, but landed no telling blows. Von Richthofen used the clinch effectively, and that is what won him this fight. Okita landed less than 10 strikes in the whole fight and the lack of offense is what lost him this fight. He will need to be more aggressive if he wants any hope in the future of winning a judge’s decision.

Overall, a fantastic event from one of MMA Tycoon’s fastest growing orgs in the game! FV CEO Frank King will be hoping his orgs rise can grow, as his control of Las Vegas continues to grow.

FORBIDDEN VIOLENCE #28

REVIEW

DATE: 19th July 2014

Arena (Attendance): Sparta’s Palace 7,000 (7,000)

Merch Partner: HGH Nutrients Q160

Bookmakers: FORBIDDEN VIOLENCE Betting

KO OTN: Joe Jordan

Sub OTN: Sean Stone

Fight OTN: Oleg Karev vs August Beach

Hey everyone, and welcome to another review of Forbidden Violence’s latest event. Last week, we were at Sparta’s Palace and FV gave a night to remember to all the fans in attendance as we saw two title fights on display. With a number of recognisable stars on display, let’s get right down to it, as we analyse each fight, and identify where it went right for the winners.

FIGHT #1 – Welterweight Fight!

Josef Urrah def. Caeser Augustus via TKO (Strikes) at 1:21 in Round 2

Urrah’s intentions in this fight were clear, as he came out swinging in the first round. They ended up in the clinch after Urrah defended a takedown well but was pushed up against the cage by Augustus. Urrah did well in the clinch, landed punches while avoiding Augustus’ shots. He managed to escape the clinch back to standing, where he continued to attack Augustus. Augustus managed to land a takedown, but Urrah managed to position himself to gain full guard. With the round coming to an end, and after a brief struggle on the ground, Augustus advanced to half guard and immediately attempted to lock in a kimura, but was not quick enough with Urrah ending the round strongly by moving into side control on top. The second round began much the same as the first, with Urrah trying to land hard shots, and he eventually managed to do so. He feinted with a straight left, but twisted and rocked Augustus with a huge spinning back fight. Urrah finished the fight by landing a single right, and then followed it up with a single straight left which dropped Augustus. He followed up with more strikes, forcing the referee to call a stop to the fight.

FIGHT #2 – Welterweight Fight!

Ryan Sonnen def. Samak Tiyapairat via TKO (Strikes) at 1:55 in Round 1

This was 2 minutes of fast paced action where either fighter could have won it. Sonnen first got cut after taking a big head kick, and proceeded to cut Tiyapairat with a nice left hook-right uppercut combo. There was a great period of back and forth action, before Sonnen turned the fight on its head by rocking Tiyapairat with a sonic-fast jab which snapped his head back. Sonnen landed a big body shot to wind his opponent for the brief period he needed, countering Tiyapairat’s clinch attempt with a crisp right hand shot, which knocked Tiyapairat down to the ground. Sonnen capitalised on this, gaining mount and landing some nasty look shots which gave the referee no choice but to call a stop to the contest.

FIGHT #3 – Super Heavyweight Fight!

Arnie McDougle def. Nick Foles via KO (Punches) at 00:16 in Round 1

One of the shortest fights I have ever had to review, and it displayed everything a stand up fighter likes to see. McDougle was cut early on, and responded the best way possible, by going ultra-aggressive, looking for the KO early, and he set all that up with a huge head kick. McDougle missed with his first attempt, but landed the second one perfectly, opening up a cut, knocking Foles down, and rocking him all in one fell swoop. Foles tried to get back to his feet, but was forced down to the ground by McDougle, who gained Side Control. McDougle decided his best bet was on the feet, so he stood up, and as Foles regained his feet, landed a huge three-punch combination, with a left, a right, and a huge uppercut that had Foles out on his feet. No more punches were needed, as this fight was over in an instant.

FIGHT #4 – Middleweight Fight!

Memento Mori def. Eliod Bunkley Iii via TKO (Strikes) at 4:49 in Round 3

A nice change of place here as we experienced a fight which almost went the distance, before being finished at the death. Mori defended well against takedowns for the majority of the first round, avoiding 10 takedowns during the first round. Mori used his striking well, opening up a cut on Bunkley just before the two minute mark, and then landed a huge right hand in the middle of the third minute which knocked Bunkley down to the mat and Bunkley looked rocked. Mori put Bunkley down on the mat again with another right hand shortly after the first. Bunkley knew he was losing on the feet, and he eventually managed to land a takedown near the end of the round but had no time to gain a position where he could cause problems. Bunkley made an improvement in the second round, but not enough to win the round. He gained a clinch early, before breaking it to gain a takedown into half guard. Mori controlled the position well, eventually gaining full guard while avoiding most of Bunkley’s strikes. Mori avoided an ankle lock attempt, and managed to gain a position on top, which scored well with the judges. With Bunkley not being able to gain any strong positions, Mori looked the more impressive throughout the round. Bunkley gained another takedown in the third, but it was on the ground that he lost. Bunkley’s takedown landed him in Mori’s guard, but throughout the round, Mori eventually managed to gain mount. The damage Mori caused in the first round came back to haunt Bunkley, as Mori landed a big elbow in the third which stunned Bunkley, allowing Mori to fire off more shots which went unanswered and caused the referee to stop the fight.

FIGHT #5 – Middleweight Fight!

John Aman def. Baraka Simengwa via KO (Punches) at 2:37 in Round 2

A fairly uneventful first round in this fight, with Simengwa gaining a clinch and a takedown, but not doing much, with Aman transitioning well, which scored nicely on the judge’s cards. While the first round was not much to talk about, the second round more than made up for it! Aman scored a head kick which caused a cut on Simengwa’s cheek, before late scoring a cross which rocked Simengwa. The finish was a moment of pure madness from Aman. He just started throwing punches of all types and from all angles. A huge right hand found its way to Simengwa’s skull, and that was all she wrote. No need for a referee stoppage, with Simengwa slumped on the mat, while Aman walked away victorious.

FIGHT #6 – Heavyweight Fight! - TITLE FIGHT

Oleg Karev def. August Beach via Majority Decision

A Heavyweight Title fight here and it was a great battle. The first round took place exclusively on the feet, with Karev opening up a cut on Beach. Karev’s clinchwork was impressive, as he punished his opponent. Beach did well to avoid the clinch in the second round, and there was a lot of back and forth between the two, before Karev gained a clinch at the end of the round. The next two rounds were dominated by Beach, as he landed shots after shots, with all three judges awarding him the third and fourth rounds, despite being rocked and knocked down at the end of the fourth. With the fight tied on two judge’s scorecards, and Beach winning on the third, Karev used his clinch to control Beach throughout the whole fifth round, winning it on all three judge’s scorecards and winning the fight via Majority Decision, and end a fight that impressed so much that it won the Fight of the Night award.

FIGHT #7 – Super Heavyweight Fight!

Sean Stone def. Ole Solseng via Submission (Triangle) at 3:59 in Round 2

A great win here for Stone, and an impressive finish which earned him the Submission of the Night award. Expectations of Stone were high when he scored a takedown with the very first move of the fight. With both fighters being inactive, the referee stood them up, and one minute later, Stone was cut after taking a head kick from Solseng. Half a minute later, Stone reacted with a combination which opened up a cut on Solseng, with the round then coming to an end. Midway through the first minute of the second round, Stone gained a takedown, and there was no stalling from him this time! While in Solseng’s full guard, Stone was caught out as Solseng gained the butterfly guard and landed a sweep. When Solseng tried to move into half guard, Stone managed to push him off and then land in Solseng’s guard, before Solseng landed another sweep, landing in Stone’s guard. Stone decided this was the time to finish it, as he trapped one of Solseng’s arms and threw his legs up and locked in the triangle, giving Solseng no chance but to tap out.

FIGHT #8 – Lightweight Fight!

Adam Duritz def. Marlon Worthy via TKO (Strikes) at 1:25 in Round 3

Worthy opened up a cut early in this fight, but didn’t capitalise with the fight moving in and out of the clinch in the first round. The second round was the same, until the second minute, with the fight again moving in and out of the clinch. Eventually, they both started striking at distance, with Worthy looking the more impressive. Nobody saw the end coming, as they both continued to feel each other out at distance, Duritz landed a solid uppercut which sent Worthy reeling, before Duritz moved in for the kill, and Worthy was lucky the referee stopped the fight before any more damage could be caused.

CO-MAIN EVENT

FIGHT #9 – Heavyweight Fight!

Joe Jordan def. Billy Roberts via KO (Punch) at 1:56 in Round 3

This finish was awarded the KO of the Night award, and deservedly so. Roberts decided to stand and bang with Jordan, and it didn’t pay off. Roberts won the first fight with some good damage, before Jordan won the second with some good accurate shots to Roberts. Jordan wasn’t going to settle for a judge’s decision, and he knocked Roberts down with a big right hand that connected perfectly on the button, but Roberts managed to gain his footing quickly despite being rocked. Jordan bobbed and weaved into range and threw a monstrous overhand right that connected perfectly on Roberts’ temple, and turned the lights out the moment it hit. Jordan was pleased with that finish, as he strutted around the cage afterwards.

MAIN EVENT

FIGHT #10 – Heavyweight Fight!

Titus Arellius def. Roger Freedmen via TKO (Strikes) at 4:34 in Round 1

Our Main Event of the card was a short fight, but highly eventful. Arellius scored a takedown, and both fighters took the liberty of trying to sink in a submission as early as possible. Freedmen tried a lot of submission attempts, but it was Arellius GnP which decided the fight. He landed a huge hammerfist which echoed around the arena and rocked Freedmen. He followed that up with more strikes, and with Freedmen not defending himself properly, and not responding to referees calls to actively defend himself, the ref had no choice but to call a stop to the fight.

Another huge event from Forbidden Violence as it seeks to break into the top 10 in the world. Maybe next weeks event will help to achieve that, so be sure to look out for our Preview which will be coming soon!
