senjinone
Heya! When you reach Elite at punching and striking defence is it enough to sparr boxning twice a week to maintain it? If not, how fast (ish) does it go down? // Crissy
duphus
NO: All skills have to be trained or they go into degrading. While you may never notice it as it depends if the boxing sparring adds enough in punches to offset the loss from not training punches. The higher the skill the more often it has to be trained, if it's a secondary then you have to train it with a coach and if a prime then you have to spar. Just sparring will not reset the time last trained on any other skills besides the boxing prime so punches and SD will eventually go into degradation. The quickest this can happen is 40 sessions (about 2.5 weeks at elite). At wonderful it's almost 3 months, thus why you see a depop on a prime when they turn 19 if you never sparred them in that creation 12 prime. As far I as have ever been able to tell you lose .05 points every session until it's trained to stop it. While this don't seem much but at the high levels (over 140 points) it takes forever to gain 1 point so in 20 sessions you will have lost 1 point and will take a long time to get it back.
duphus
Same thing goes for cardio and wieghts. However because about all things you train add to cardio, you will still raise in cardio but you are losing some and not gaining as much as you would have. Same with strength also, just doing C/T's does NOT reset the time since trained but will put points towards those skills. However fighting resets all skills so if you fight regularly you don't really have to worry about it but if you gym rat a fighter then you need to pay attention
