BFC 5: DIAZ VS NORMAN

Hello and welcome back once again guys, to the great city of RIO DE JANEIRO. This is Matty Fernandez bringing to you the preview of one of the most highly anticipated events in the history of BFC, so join me and have a sneak peak to what you are in for in what is sure to be a crazy night of fighting. So let's talk about the event a little bit here, we might have seen some huge megafights some champion vs champion fights which had massive hype coming into the event but then ultimately failed to deliver when it mattered but let me tell you in here the possibility of that happening is probably as much as the possibility of me jumping out of a window today, which by the way let me tell you is zero, if you are curious. And therefore without me taking much more of your time let's see what we have in store for you in this event which is sure to have the everyone's attention in the audience glued to the great night of action we have for you coming up.

(UNDERCARD BOUTS)

Before we get started with the big boys battling it out, as always we have some very exciting looking undercard in store for you, which although does not contain many big names but, it is going to surely give the audience a very exciting start to the event as honestly those guys in the undercard have nothing to lose as they are fighting to get among the elite's in the organization so it is expected that they are just going to let their hands fly from the get go. So enjoy it.

1. Jim "The Lizard King" Morrison vs Wesley Pipes (BANTAMWEIGHT BOUT [135 LBS])

~ PREDICTION: JIM MORRISON WINS VIA KO (ROUND 1)

2. Felipe Cabrera vs Graham Mantle (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

~ PREDICTION: FELIPE CABRERA WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)

3. George " The Killer" Costello vs Billy "Bob" Smurder (WELTERWEIGHT BOUT [170 LBS])

~ PREDICTION: GEORGE COSTELLO WINS VIA SUBMISSION (ROUND 2)

4. Bruno Gehard vs Conman "9box" Mcnugget (LIGHTWEIGHT BOUT [155 LBS])

~ PREDICTION: BRUNO GEHARD WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 3)

5. Alfonso Hartel vs Flange McDrippy (LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT [205 LBS])

~ PREDICTION: FLANGE MCDRIPPY WINS VIA KO (ROUND 1)

(MAIN CARD)

Now every event needs some teasers to get the audience settled in and glued to the fight and therefore after some very tasty looking matchups in the undercard, its time for the big boys to step foot in the cage, who are going to battle it out among themselves to determine the rightful winners in each of their bouts respectively. So to get the main card rolling, here we go!

6. Iron Side vs Jason Swift (HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT [265 LBS])

Iron side is a Knock Out specialist who is one of the most talented prospects in the entire (BFC) HEAVYWEIGHT division, and also one one of the top ranked fighters in the division. He made a successful debut at BFC in his previous fight rather recently against a pretty decent opponent so that is sure to give his confidence level a massive boost going into this fight as he is currently on a 2 fight winning streak and therefore with a professional record of [2 wins 0 losses] he will look to win this fight to extend his winning streak and continue to show people that the hype surrounding him is there for a reason.

Now unlike his opponent, Jason Swift is yet to make his organization debut anywhere in the world. He is a wrestler and a Jieu Jitsu artist who has a got a professional record of [2 wins and 0 losses] all of them coming via QFC fights, and therefore there are still some doubts if he is going to be the future star of the division in the long run and therefore to prove those doubters wrong he will hope to win this fight, so as to continue his winning streak and make a successful debut in the organization.

~ PREDICTION: IRON SIDE WINS VIA KO (ROUND 1)

7. Tourney Guy vs "Wee" Willie Weeks (BANTAMWEIGHT BOUT [135 LBS])

Tourney Guy is a former QFC tournament winner and also one of the former ranked fighter in the (HFC) BANTAMWEIGHT division who has got a professional record of (6 wins 1 loss) . He has fought in some of big matches in his relatively short career, and whenever i say big matches, the name Jack Sparrow is definitely the one that pops up in my head most often in terms of Tourney Guys's career as, Jack is currently one of the title contenders in (HFC). But stepping out of that topic, Tourney has come very far since then. And coming into a new organization brings about changes and therefore to bring about about some inspiration to his somewhat stagnating career, he will hope to win this fight to have a successful debut at BFC and start a new chapter in his career where he will hopefully be a champion at some point in time.

Now another one out of the (HFC) BANTAMWEIGHT division into the (BFC) [135 LBS] division is Willie Weeks. He is considered by many to be the real deal in the (BFC) Bantamweight division, so his hype which is the outright best in the division and also his unbeaten professional record of [3 wins 0 losses] does no harm to that thought really, and therefore he will also look to win this fight to give justice to his hype and prove to all his doubters that he truly is the real deal in this division and hopefully for his sake, in the BFC as a whole in the future.

~ PREDICTION: WILLIE WEEKS WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 2)

8. Yun Won Hyang vs Jalaluddin "Fury" Aziz (OPENWEIGHT BOUT [265+ LBS])

When you stay at a certain organization or at a certain division for a rather long time pretty successfully, you might start to become complacent and think that i can beat anybody and everybody that comes in front me, but let me tell you that's where you go wrong as Yun Won Hyang had to find out the hard way by losing both the title fights he has been involved in throughout his career. He is a wrestler and a Muay Thai specialist who has got a professional record of (21 wins 9 losses). Now getting back to his career, after those losses in the title fights, he regrouped and went on a another good run of victories until he said enough is enough as he was not getting the exposure he felt he should have got in [205 LBS] and therefore while moving into BFC he decided to move up in weightclass for a fresh start to his career. He had a bad start to his career at (265+ LBS) as he lost in his BFC debut but since then he has worked a lot harder in training and so coming into this fight on the back of a good win in his previous fight he will be looking to win this fight to prove to himself that this is indeed the division for him where he can somewhat return to his glory days again.

Now Firstly i want to mention that i can't see a possible way Jalaluddin can make a decent enough weight to be competitive in this fight, but it's not our concern so let's have a look at his profile.

Aziz is a Boxer and a Jieu Jitsu specialist who has a professional record of (18 wins 12 losses). Now Unlike his opponent in this fight Aziz has actually won plenty of things in his long career, first he won the BUSHIDO Road To Gold trophy, then he won the (BUSHIDO) LIGHTWEIGHT title twice over after losing it the first time. But since then his career has been in a freefall and therefore coming into this fight with very low confidence in himself and his own abilities, Aziz will be desperate to win this fight to start a new chapter in his career in the best possible way, and show everyone that he has still got some fighting spirit left in him.

~ PREDICTION: YUN WON HYANG WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)

(CO-MAIN EVENT)

To put the cherry on top of the cake you'd always need to make the cake first and foremost, and therefore to put up a great main event for people to be upbeat about, you would first need to have a great supporting co-main event because just like if the cake is not there the cherry would be useless, then if the co-main event is not great the audience would loose interest in the event and would not enjoy the main event as much as they should, so after my short and terribly put up speech let's get straight into the preview for this fantastic co-main event.

9. Nick "The Saint" Johnson vs Chiku "Small Head" Maneno (OPENWEIGHT BOUT [265+ LBS])

A former 2x time (POWERS FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP) LIGHTWEIGHT title challenger Nick Johnson is a Boxer and a Muay Thai specialist who has got a professional record of (14 wins 9 losses). He is at the final stretch in his rather short career but his dream of lifting his elusive title has always eluded him, but now he has come to BFC with one goal and one goal only which is to lift the OPENWEIGHT title in BFC. But having lost his debut fight here it seemed that the his dream was just not meant to be, although since then, he has bagged himself a confidence building win in his previous fight and so he will be desperate to win this fight to keep alive his dream of becoming a champion and actually make it a reality someday in the future not far from now.

Now if his opponent is at the final stage of his career Chiku Maneno is really in his last hurrah as a professional MMA fighter really, because the veteran with a professional record of (48 wins 33 losses and 4 draws) is arguably the most experienced fighter currently still active in the game. He is a Boxer or a striker whatever you want to say, who has been in multiple title fights in his long and illustrious career and he held the WELTERWEIGHT title while at (ONTARIO FIGHT CLUB) but his hunger for another title is still very much there and therefore he has come to BFC to win one final title to finish his career in style, but unfortunately he drew in his debut match in BFC and then lost in the rematch in his previous fight so he will be looking to win this fight to kickstart the final chapter in his career in the right way and take baby steps towards yet another title fight in the future.

~ PREDICTION: NICK JOHNSON WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)

(MAIN EVENT)

And so after a night of fantastic events to be, we have finally arrived at the main event of the evening sanctioned and sponsored by altitude clothing. The fighters main event does not need a lot of introduction so without me wasting any more of your time let's get straight into what we have in store for you in the final fight of the night.

10. Neal Diaz vs William "The Conqueror" Norman (OPENWEIGHT BOUT [265+ LBS])

Now in a professional MMA fighters career there always comes a time when you are losing fights where you give deep consideration into the fact if indeed the current division you are fighting at is the right division for you well, the case is no different for Neal Diaz as he has jumped from being a LIGHTWEIGHT to FEATHERWEIGHT and back to LIGHTWEIGHT but he never found the consistency at either division because he was unsure the whole time. But, now with a professional record of (16 wins 10 losses) it looks like he has finally settled for a division that he wants to be in long term at BFC because after winning his previous fight against a top ranked opponent, this fight is probably going to be the last fight for him before a title shot if he wins in this one and therefore he will be absolutely dead focused on winning this fight so that he can finally get the elusive title shot that he has been wanting all his life.

His opponent Norman has had a very different career to him though. Now Norman is a submission specialist who has a professional record of (8 wins 9 losses 1 draw). His career did start off rather okay with some decent wins to show for but, ever since his fourth loss, he seems to have lost self belief that he can actually win fights as a result he went on a terrible run of (3 wins 6 losses) since then which was somewhat made a little bit more respectable in his previous fight as he won the fight pretty comfortably in the end and therefore he will look to win this fight desperately because he knows that this might be his last opportunity to catapult himself into the title contention and so he has to grab it with both hands and not let go.

~ PREDICTION: NEAL DIAZ WINS VIA SUBMISSION (ROUND 3)

AND SO WITH THIS, ANOTHER OF OUR GREAT EVENTS WILL COME TO A CLOSE

I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED THE PREVIEW AND THEREFORE

UNTIL NEXT TIME STAY SAFE AND HAVE A GREAT DAY

The matchmakers are hearing Chael's call! We are working frantically to find you an opponent for the weekend of 6/12. We are confident we will get you on one of our two cards that weekend.

To give a little transparency on the 135lb division. On 6/12 and 6/13 Liszorr Vs. Stenburg and Vergys Vs. Weeks, square off. The winners of those bout's will fight for the 135lb title.

The winner of Chael and "unnamed" will be in top consideration for the first 135lb title defense.

We are under new ownership!!! BFC is 355+. The forum name will be updated soon. If you have any special requests or concerns please reach out to me personally. Chris Swimmer is my trusted associate, he will aid with contract negations, weekly write-ups and general counsel.
