(Nominations) Fighter Of The Year 2017

I don't have a fighter to nominate, but I don't agree w/ Puno. Carter hasn't fought him in forever, he's been basically sitting on his ass for months and not taking fights.

u mad bro?

You're entitled to your own opinion, but if you're gonna take the time to comment that a fighter doesn't deserve it, you should at least offer your own nomination(s). don't be lazy.

Mad? Why would I be mad? You've actually done a great job in showing a flaw in the game...where a fighter can thumb his own asshole for months at a time and still not lose the #1 p4p spot because of the hype system. I don't even want to get into the bug where Tsoi kept trading #1 spots every day w/ Puno for no apparent reason lol.

If you insist I do nominate someone, then my vote goes for Kalervo Kaunismieli. Not only is he on a great run, but a proven finisher as well.

If it's not too much to ask of you, oh great Carter!, can you explain why you stopped fighting Puno? Just curious.

To simplify it, I got bored and went inactive + no fighter deserved to fight him, and nobody (fighter or manager) was worthy of my time or energy.

If you say so! Although I don't know what you mean by "inactive" since you've had fights consistently since Punos last fight.

do your homework.

Man people get worked up over a simulated MMA game. And my vote is for Kajun "Pinoy Savage" Puno

greatness brings the envy out of people. even virtual greatness. he's probably had to watch the King dominate for a long time.

Lol yes sir, Mr. Karter sir!!! Not much to do, pretty easy to check your fight record. Regardless, no need to hijack this award thread. I just stated my opinion.

Every other fighter that could get nominated for this award will have 2-3+ losses, mostly un-avenged.

Tsoi 12-3-1

He won Syn' 145 title, and defended it once. Avenged 1 of 3 losses.

Kalervo 13-3-1

4 successful Syn 185 title fights. Got knocked out twice, didn't avenge any of his losses.

Alex John Conor Burns (record irrelevant)

tapped to strikes this year. avenged his loss with a Decision. doesn't nullify tapping to strikes.

The GOAT 10-0

Won HW title in 3 different #1 orgs in the game (EVO, Syn', Ascension - you might have heard of all 3). Defended EVO and Syn' belts. No controversial decision wins. Dominated every opponent outside of TWGC. 6 title fights this year, 6 wins.

Hmmm... yeah, Kalervo might be FOTY  I came in here to nominate Tsoi, but there isn't a fighter in the game that did more than Puno this year and he did it in 6 months.

"Mister" Euphegen Doubdtfire (256129)

Current CEC 135lbs and 145lbs champ (also won the CFC 135 title at its last ever event)

13-2 for the calendar year - all through the year, first 1 in January most recent in November (and is fighting tonight/tomorrow)

6 defenses of his CEC 135 title

Decent year id say

I dont think you can refuse to fight with ur p4p 1 fighter for 1/3 of the year and then have him awarded fighter of the year...

Refusing to fight or laying waste to the entire division and conquering all?

call it what you want.

nobody was worthy then, and nothing has changed. Other than Puno the HW division is just a toss up of a bunch of bums and bum managers taking turns knocking each other out.

Just beat GSG (syn 155 champ) at 155. I'd say that settles it, he deserves it.

Kalervo Kaunismieli, who has established himself as one of the guys to beat in the game, having overtaken Puno now as the p4p king!

He will have had had 19 fights in 2017 by the end of the year, more than double the amount of Puno.

The nomination is fine and all, but the content is clear.

Puno is 10-0. 19 fights isn't "more than double" 10.

Kalervo's 3 losses are triple the amount of Puno's in 2017 :shades:

I only counted the MMA fights, where Puno has 9, while Kalervo will have had 19 before the end of the year.

My vote has not been determined yet, but I tend towards Kalervo at this point due to him really staying busy with top fights.
