[Official Event Preview]

-[Lightweight Division: Wreak Havoc (1-0) vs. Asiong Salonga (1-1)

Round 1 – Asiong Salonga came out with a wild combination that Wreak Havoc easily avoided. Havoc began landing stinging single shots going high and low before Salonga fired back with a one-two combination. As the two continue to take turns socking each other in the face, the audience audibly “Ooo”s with each landed shot. Havoc backed Salonga up with a three punch combination and ate a big left hand for his trouble. Salonga pushed forward with more punches, getting a bit wild with his efforts again. Salonga stopped to take a deep breath and Havoc took the opportunity to tie him up in a tight clinch. Havoc began landing uppercut after uppercut, staggering Salonga and putting him down with followup strikes, prompting a stoppage. Wreak Havoc def. Asiong Salonga via TKO (Strikes) at 2:55 of round 1.

-[Welterweight Division: Quincy Fapple (1-1) vs. Ramsey Tupper (0-0)

Round 1 – Ramsey Tupper opened by attempting to clinch but Quincy Fapple circled away with a jab. The good majority of this round came out looking like a technical boxing match with a smattering of failed takedown attempts from Ramsey Tupper.

Round 2 – Quincy Fapple was handily winning the standup battle in this round, battering Tupper with punches in bunches. Tupper managed to tip the scale back in his favor a bit with a mid-round takedown into half guard. Exhausted though he may have been, Tupper still managed to pass into mount and start dropping ground and pound on the boxer. Tupper repositioned for an armbar attempt but Fapple saw it coming and rolled into top guard! During the transition, Tupper grabbed on the head of Fapple and held on, threatening with a guillotine but mostly hanging on to catch his breath. Fapple slipped his head free and held on for a minute before climbing to his feet. Tupper stood up and ate a stiff jab as the round came to a close.

Round 3 – After a punching exchange in which nothing landed, Tupper shot in for a takedown that missed by a mile. Tupper with another takedown attempt, then a wild series of punches that all failed badly. Tupper landed a nice uppercut but then went right back to the takedown that failed miserably. Fapple came back with a big right hand, and then another. Fapple began making Tupper pay for his mistakes, countering him with stiff right handed punches. Tupper attempted a body kick and Fapple dropped him with an overhand right. Tupper stumbled to his feet and Fapple pushed forward with more punches until the referee jumped between them. Quincy Fapple def. Ramsey Tupper via TKO (Strikes) at 2:16 of round 3.

-[Light-Heavyweight Division: Mihajlo Marinkovic (1-0) vs. Royal McPoyle (0-0-1)

Round 1 – Marinkovic opened with a jab and then shot in for a double leg takedown. Marinkovic went to work dropping ground and pound while passing into side control. After a pause on top, Marinkovic moved in for an arm triangle choke and forced the tap. Mihajlo Marinkovic def. Royal McPoyle via Submission (Arm Triangle) at 2:56 of round 1.

-[Middleweight Division: Dirk Diggler (0-0) vs. Reno Rocca (1-0)

Round 1 – Dirk Diggler for the most part tried to clinch at every opportunity although he did land a few decent jabs. Reno Rocca controlled the standup battle, circling away from Diggler and tagging him with punches. After rocking Diggler with a left hand, Rocca finished him with a right, left combination! Reno Rocca def. Dirk Diggler via KO (Punches) at 1:57 of round 1.

OaHMTa9.jpg

-[Bantamweight Division: Andres Guttierez (0-1) vs. Ray Reaper (1-1)

Round 1 – Ray Reaper came out in this fight throwing nothing but punching combinations, swinging wildly for the fences and hitting nothing but air. Andres Guttierez dominated this opening round with superior boxing technique.

Round 2 – Another strong round for Guttierez who was putting on a clinic called “hit and don't get hit”. Reaper landed one combination and then missed the other few dozen combinations.

Round 3 – Guttierez continued to strike and abuse the now exhausted Ray Reaper who kept up with his wild combinations, missing a dozen attacks per minute while getting picked apart on the feet. And then the judges gave the fight to Ray Reaper because to hell with actually accomplishing things, we award victories based on what you meant to do versus what you actually did. Ray Reaper def. Andres Guittierez via Unanimous Decision.

[Main Card]

-[Middleweight Division: James Bailey (0-0) vs. Dan Williams (0-0)

Round 1 – James Bailey opened our main card off with a right hand and a series of missed strikes ensued. As Dan Williams pushed forward, Bailey tied him up in a tight clinch and pressed him against the ropes. Bailey began pouring on shots against the ropes. Williams tried to fire back with knees but was unable to land anything of value. Williams tried to force a takedown and the two separated in the chaos. As Williams came forward, Bailey dropped him with a big right hand! Busted up and hurt, Williams got to his feet and came forward with a right hand of his own. Bailey slipped the punch and clinched once more. Bailey broke the clinch, landed a few shots, and then commenced in the lowest form of fighting that I call “catch-and-release” aka clinch and break clinch.

Round 2 – Dan Williams began landing punches for the first time in this fight to start this round off. Williams opened with a left hook and followed it with five leg kicks. Bailey didn't enjoy that so he clinched with Williams once again and went to work with the dirty boxing. Williams attempted a takedown and Bailey circled away. Bailey pushed forward with heavy punches and Williams wobbled once again but stayed on his feet! Bailey landed a body shot followed by a left hook that dropped Williams! Out of desperation, Williams shot in for a double leg takedown but Bailey easily stuffed the attempt. Bailey was working the jab here, biding his time in search of that one big shot to finish it all. Bailey caught Williams coming in, cracking him with another left hook that put him out cold face down on the canvas! James Bailey def. Dan Williams via KO (Punch) at 2:31 of round 2.

-[Heavyweight Division: Charles Barboza (1-0) vs. Ted Thundercunt (1-0)

Round 1 – Charles Barboza opens with a lightning fast takedown, landing in the guard of Ted Thundercunt. Barboza passed effortlessly into side control and began working on a kimura. When the kimura failed, Barboza transitioned instead to an arm triangle and Ted immediately submitted. Charles Barboza def. Ted Thundercunt via Submission (Arm Triangle) at 1:39 of round 1.

ORD2Rmu.jpg

-[Light-Heavyweight Division: Kamaka Esera (0-0) vs. Ovidio Kiran (0-0)

Round 1 – Ovidio Kiran clinched immediately with Kamaka Esera and went to work with dirty boxing that busted up the face of Esera. Not contend to be controlled, Esera came back with punches of his own, landing heavy shots to the head of Kiran.

Round 2 – Kiran came out sloppy to start this round and Esera made him pay with big counter punches on the button. It became quickly apparent that Kiran had nothing for Esera on the feet and needed to clinch desperately. Esera smartly kept his distance and picked Kiran apart from the outside. Esera rocked him with a crisp right hand and got a bit over-excited in his hunt for the finish, allowing Kiran to clinch with him. Kiran went super aggressive with dirty boxing for the remainder of this round, trying to steal back the momentum of the fight.

Round 3 – Esera started this round with punches in bunches, keeping Kiran back pedaling. Kiran managed to clinch and do a good minute's worth of work against the ropes but Esera broke the clinch and went back to riding his bicycle, making Kiran chase him. Whenever Kiran came forward, Esera made him pay with big punches. Near the end of the round, Kiran forced a clinch and the fight concluded with both fighters landing uppercuts in the center of the ring. After some disagreement among the judges, we had our fight result.

Judge Peter Branson scored the fight for Ovidio Kiran!

Judge Daniel F ranklin scored the fight for Kamaka Esera!

And judge Santiago Holmes scored the fight for the winner by Split Decision: Ovidio Kiran!

-[Welterweight Division: Ken Blanchard (2-0) vs. Freddie Money (3-1)

Round 1 – Freddie Money came out looking to land that big right hand early but Blanchard kept his distance. Blanchard went for a body shot and ate a stiff right hand instead! Blanchard went to wipe away some blood and ate another right hand on the button! After a moment of hesitation, Money succumbed to the restlessness of the audience and rushed forward with a looping overhand right but Blanchard rolled under it and come back up with a left hook. Money bounced into range with a right hand, circled a bit, then landed a stiff jab. Blanchard tried to fire back on the jab and Money tagged him with that overhand right he's been trying to land all night! Blanchard went down and Money rushed him with another big punch as he tried to get back up! Blanchard went down again, out cold stretched! Freddie Money def. Ken Blanchard via KO (Punch) at 1:18 of round 1.

[Main Event]

-[Welterweight Division: Island King (0-0) vs. Gunner Larsson (2-0)

Round 1 – Gunner Larsson opened with a nice leg kick and Island King responded by shooting a double leg takedown, landing in side control! Larsson got back to half guard and King stalled for the better part of a minute. King did attempt a few strikes from the top but nothing landed. Larsson with the sweep to top guard! Not content to sit and control, Larsson went to work with ground and pound immediately from guard. Larsson went for an ill advised heel hook and King jumped into the top position in guard. The referee re-positioned the fighters back in the center of the ring and Larsson immediately reversed into top guard! Larsson closed out this round working ground and pound.

Round 2 – Larsson scored an immediate takedown in this round, landing in guard. Larsson went to work with the ground and pound early. King was attempting to utilize a high guard to threaten with a submission but Larsson pushed free and continued to pour on shots. Larsson passed into half guard and immediately began working on a kimura. After letting the arm go, Larsson went back to work with ground and pound, closing out the round punishing King.

Round 3 – Larsson attempted an early takedown in this round and King sprawled. Somewhere in there we had a headbutt that opened a cut over the eye of King who landed a nice right hand. Larsson clinched and both fighters attempted takedowns before trading big uppercuts in the center of the ring. Larsson pressed King up against the ropes and began tagging him with punches up the middle. Larsson dropped down for a takedown but King stuffed it and circled away. The fighters traded hook punches with King landing harder at the end. Larsson desperately shot in but had his takedown attempt stuffed. Larsson transitioned to a single leg and then dragged King to the ground, landing in guard on top. Larsson wanted to work ground and pound but King showed great wrist control to neutralize the offense as this round came to a close. Gunner Larsson def. Island King via Unanimous Decision.

The Island Combat Championship (351k+) in association with Paradigm are proud to bring

ICC 3

7th Seprember 2019 Micro Arena The Island

In Partnership with Paradigm

Hello everyone this is Kendo bringing to you a brief review of the Third Island Combat Championship and we have a

fantastic night of fights lined up. Including four fighters making their debut fights two of which are lined to face

each other and a 185 ibs Title fight featuring two undefeated fighters only one will remain so at the end of the night.

Lets take a look at the fight card.

Undercard

155 lbs

Jasper "Dark" Ghost (USA) V Daniel Parker (USA)

Twenty five year old Ghost faces a young Nineteen year old Parker in our first fight. With three wins all by

submission Ghost will no doubt look to dominate with his superior BJJ skills but Parker has showed his capable

ground skills with his two wins coming by way of submission.

155 lbs

Carlos "Warrior" Ledher (COL) V Thommy "Senior" Harinck (NED)

Two fighters making their dedut, Twenty year old Ledher and Twenty five year old Harinck.

Ledher enters with a background in kickboxing and will hope to utilise those skills against a stronger

wrestler in Harinck, who in turn is more than capable of matching Ledher's boxing but may rely on some

good old ground and pound.

205 lbs

Jamie "Junk YardDog" Porter (SCO) V Twan "Shark" Lark (THAI)

Porter at Twenty two is making his debut against Eighteen year old Lark who suffered a defeat in his first

fight by way of submission. Both fighters display decent stand up skills with Lark showing better kickboxing

ability. Expect Porter to look to utilise his silightly better wrestling against a tricky Thai oponent.

170 lbs

Ronald Mcdonald (ICE) V "El Artillero" Javier Garcia (COL)

Twenty five year old Mcdonald will looking to make it two wins from two fights probably by once again using his

superior BJJ skills. However although maing his debut Twenty five year old Garcia has more than capable wrestling

ability to present a serious challenge to Mcdonald's plans.

265 lbs

Girth Brooks (Afgn) V Willis "Tiny" Wallace (SA)

A second meeting for these two fighters and its hard to see it turning out any different to their first encounter,

where Brooks (25) delivered a spinning back fist to knockout Wallace (18) in 1:41 of round one. The heavy hands of

Brooks will be difficult for Wallace to avoid either standing or on the ground.

Main Card

145 lbs

Thimothy Weenus (BHU) V Shawn "Alex" VanDam (ENG)

Twenty one year old Weenus from Bhutan is making his second fight appearance and hoping to make it two wins from

two fights having notched up win number one with a triangle armbar submission. With decent boxing ability and a

purple belt in BJJ he is more than capable of taking the fight to anyone on the ground or on the mat.

Shawn VanDam at Twenty five is also looking for his second win after winning in his first fight with a Kimura

inside the first minute.

With both these fighters holding BJJ purple belts they will each look to their other skills to gain an advantage.

265 lbs

Gaahl "Death" Brynvar (NOR) V Stian "Hellhammer" Thoreson (NOR)

Once again two fighter making their second fight appearance but both of these are coming off the back of losses.

Brynvar at twenty five is the slightly better kickboxer and wrestler, but he will have to be aware of Thoreson's

boxing ability if he doesnt want a repeat of his knockout defeat.

Thoreson still only Eighteen years of age is by far the superior boxer and with a little extra height and nearly

two stones heavier will hope to bring all that to bear.

This will either be a tribute to stand up slugging or become something more akin to Walruses on a beach.

170 lbs

Devon "Loolaboy" Finnes (JAM) V Jonathon Philips (USA)

Finnes aged Twenty five enters with one win an arm triangle submission and one loss which was a unanimous decision

and with the better boxing and wrestling skills he will feel comfortable whichever direction the fight may take.

Philips still only Twenty one starts here with one win and two losses. He achieved his first win in his first fight

with a guillotine submission but has followed that up with two defeats by way of knockout. He may look to use his

slightly better kickboxing.

Finnes will almost certainly be aiming to hand out knockout number three to Philips who in turn has no desire for

that to happen.

Special Feature fight

185 lbs Title Event

Evengi Kozlov (RUS) V Sir William "Guardian of Scotland" Wallace (SCO)

Here we have two undefeated fighters so not just a tile on the line but keeping the loss count to zero will be the

icing on the cake for the victor of this one.

Kozlov at twenty five has started his MMA career with three wins his first came by way of a unanimous decision and

he has followed that with two first round knockouts courtesy of a powerful right hand. A highly skilled boxer he

also has decent wrestling ability making him a dangerous opponent from all angles.

Wallace also twenty five has started his MMA career with three knockouts all inside the first minute. He comes here

with decent kickboxing ability and a superior ability in wrestling. Comfortable on his feet or rolling around the

floor this suicidal Scot is hellbent on destruction. Either his opponent or himself in the trying.

Top of The Bill

Main Event

185 lbs

Axel "The Hammer" Harris (AUS V Joseph "F.S.W." Jantan (MAL)

Twenty five year old Harris is making his third fight appearance. In his first fight he defeated James Hunter by way

of a unanimous decision but followed that with a defeat to Robert Leahy and a guillotine choke submission. The

slightly less experienced of the two he will attempt to utilise his superior kickboxing skills and nullify the threat

from his opponent.

Jantan is a Twenty five year old whirlwind from Malaysia who is setting the MMA world alight with his outstandingly

dominant performances. Five fights, five wins and all by way of knockout and all in the first round. Michael Goodman,

Finisher Tokyo, Tyler Banks, Better You and Herlock Von Ryan have all met the Malaysian phenom and felt his force.

He enters here looking to make it win number six and possibly earn a shot at a title.

This has all the hallmarks of a sensational fight that's if both fighters can match their credentials.

This has been Kendo writing for Island Combat Championship (351K+), hope you all enjoyed thanks for reading,

hope to catch you all again, cheers Kendo.

Paradigm presents : Island Combat Championship: 5 Champions wrap up show.

Robb Smith - Hello ladies and gents I am Robb Smith and tonight we will witness history here on the island. ICC has the deepest roster and best fighters on the island. We will crown not one but five World Champion's and also see a top tier co main event at welterweight. Let's get into it.

At light heavyweight we had Ovidio Kiran taking on Kamaka Eserea. Kiran came into this fight 1 and 0 and he was feeling confident. Kamaka lost his debut and many believed would try to set the tone in this fight. Esera walked into a jab from the beginning of the fight and right away he was cut. Fighting through adversity Kamaka tried to land some punches but Kiran clinched and changed the direction of the fight. Ovidio took control from the clinch landing punches at will. Kamaka tried to get out of the clinch but Ovida stayed in control and continued to land throughout the round wearing down his opponent. During the round Ovidio's camp told him to keep the clinch going and attack the cut. As the second round started Kiran continued where he left off. Throughout the final two rounds Kiran Ovidio fought to get in the clinch and let his boxing and muay thai do the work. He attacked the cut on Kamaka's head and kept his pace up throughout. When the buzzer rang and indicted the fight was over Esera looked down at the mat as he knew he didn't so enough to win. Kiran Ovidio won by unanimous decision and advanced to 2-0 in his career. This muay thai specialist is one to watch for in the future.

At middleweight we saw Marco's Silva debut against Dirk Diggler. The 18 year old Silva came in with some hype about his power and his muay thai. once the fight started Marco's attacked at will clinching and striking as he saw fit. Silva nailed Dirk with an uppercut followed by a hook that dropped Diggler to the mat cold. Marco's celebrated his 38 second win. Marco's Silva took the microphone and said that he is only just beginning and that he will be a World Champion.

At welterweight we saw 0-1 Island King bounce back from a debut loss in what was a very controlled fight by him. Storm Mjolnir did his best in the second round when he put King on the mat with his punches and cut him open. King fought back though and landed more and more as the fight went on. King would walk away with a unanimous decision but not for lack of going for the finish. King looked exhausted as he thanked the fans.

Robert Leahy versus Dan William's at middleweight was thought to be a grappler versus striker affair but the 5 and 0 Leahy took this fight to the mat immediately and showed his poise and control on the ground as he transitioned at will and locked in a kimura that had William's in a great deal of pain and forced a tap. After the fight was over the now 6 and 0 Robert Leahy called out the winner between Kozlov and Harris next weekend for the Middleweight Championship.

The Lightweight Championship match between 2-0 Wreak Havoc and 3-2 Richard Togo was a battle in a phone booth. These men stood toe to toe and threw heat. Togo was the counter striker but waiting to find the right shots got him in trouble with Havoc who was good at avoiding big shots. Havoc hit Togo with a nasty combination of knees and punches that put Togo to the mat and had Wreak Havoc standing over him throwing steel until the ref stopped the fight. Wreak Havoc after the fight tells the world that he is the best lightweight in the world and that no man has a shot against him.

Light Heavyweight Championship

Miliki Monotowa came to the ring confident and poised with a undefeated 5-0 record. His opponent Mihajlo Marinkovic walked to the ring with a focused look on his face and his afro blowing in the wind. The brawler with a granite chin kept shaking his fists and bouncing around the ring before the fight. Miliki didn't move his gaze from that of his opponent. They charged to the middle of the ring and Miliki clinched immediately and landed a beautiful combo to drop his opponent. He followed up with punches that cut his opponent open before allowing his opponent to his feet. As Mihajlo moved forward dazed Monotowa threw a picture perfect knee and drove his opponent to the mat. When the new champion got ahold of the microphone he thanked his sponsor Paradigm.

Bantamweight Championship

Jason Behar comes to the ring undefeated and looks confident. His opponent Ray Reaper 2-1 looks poised to shock the world!! Reaper started the fight looming to connect quickly but Behar was smooth and could move in and out landing shots at will before finally clinching and showing his dominance. Jason attacks the body of Reaper over and over again then to the head as Reaper looks like a zombie. His defense just isn't getting the job done as he takes too many shots. Behar seems to be in the zone as he pushes off his opponent lands a massive uppercut that drops Reaper to the mat and Jason jumps on him and unload until the referee breaks it up. Jason Behar is on his knees celebrating because he just became the ICC Bantamweight World Champion. He's on his feet now and with a microphone in his hand Jason Behar speaks " I worked hard to get here, I did this for me and mine. We are at the top and I promise to bust my ass to remain here."

Heavyweight Championship

Charles Barboza walks to the ring with a 2-0 Record and is known for his ground game and his love for comics. 6-1 Psycho Crusher walks to the ring with a towel over his face. He removes it and looks angry. The fight begins with Barboza looking for a takedown, he misses and goes for a second but Crusher attacks him with an array of strikes that send Barboza falling backwards. His head snaps against the mat and he looks out but the referee isn't calling it and Psycho Crusher follows him to the floor and mauls his opponent. Crusher gets the World Heavyweight Championship wrapped around his waist and takes the microphone " And your winner, The baddest man on the Island Psychoooo Killlller!!!"

Co Main Event - Welterweight Showcase

Phillip Haba versus Kenneth Blanchard in a fight many believe is a number one contender bout. Both men are known for knockouts and come to the ring focused. Haba hits Ken right away and cuts him and tries to put together some combinations but Ken is able to keep his composure and stay focused. Ken initiates the clinch and begins to land. Ken puts Haba against the ropes and unloads. Haba is trying to stall but Ken doesn't allow it as he pressures forward. Haba breaks the clinch and both men start swinging. Some hits and misses from both guys as the round ticks down. Haba has landed the most strikes as the first round ends. Before the second round begins Ken's cut man is trying to keep it from getting worse. The round starts and Haba starts exchanging quickly. Both men mix it up but Phillip Haba has the upperhand. Haba connects with an uppercut that opens up Ken's cut even more. Haba stays focused and continues to land. Once Blanchard's cut opened up he began to bring the heat and fire back at Haba. He started landing heat with emphasis as Haba tries to control him. Ken continues to snap off hooks and combos before landing an elbow that opens up Haba. Ken puts Haba against the ropes and goes off on him unleashing a fury of strikes. The round ends with Ken Blanchard looking incredible. He found his pace and finally showed what brought him here. Both men get their cuts looked at before the third and final round begins. Both men meet in the middle and start to throw. Haba and Ken go back and forth at a slow pace. Each man trying to avoid a big shot as they pick their shots before Haba gets hit with a combination before both men start unloading on one another. The fans are going crazy as Haba connects with a jab then a hook followed by an uppercut that takes Ken off of his feet and drops him to the mat. Haba unloads on Blanchard but he was out before he hit the mat and the referee waves this one off. Philip Haba just won his first ICC fight and has put himself in the talks to be the top contender. Haba took the microphone " I appreciate the fans, that's six ko's from me and I think I've proven my worth. I know the Welterweight belt is on the line next and this fight earned me the winner of the main event and I am coming to take that belt."

Main Event

Gunner Larsson vs Freddie Money

Larson walks to the ring as MGK blares throughout the arena, he looks focused. Paid in full begins to play as Freddie Money runs to the ring looking cocky as he taunts the fans.

The fight starts with Money swinging wildly and missing as Gunner nails a take down and utilizes his wrestling. He transitions and tries to unload a few shots but Money fights back and tries to get up. Gunner controls the fight on the ground and throws some empty shots that miss. Larsson tries for a guillotine but Money does well and fights it off. Money is trying to push him off and get to his feet but Gunner doesn't allow it. Money utilizes some defense from the bottom as Larsson attempts gnp but the bell whistles and the round comes to an end.

The round begins with Larsson taking down Freddie Money and we're back to a stalemate. Both men trying to initiate something but they look stalled on the ground her. Gunner transitions but Freddie's defense has held up to this point. Both men get tangled up in the ropes but Gunner begins raining down strikes. The referee tells Freddie he needs to improve position but Gunner is now pummeling him with ground and pound and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight. Your winner and new ICC Welterweight World Champion Gunner Larsson!! Larson takes the microphone as the belt is wrapped around his waist " Freddie is a damn good opponent and I wish him the best in the future but I now need to move on and focus on being a defending champion. ICC: Combat Night 1 Preview show!!!

Hey guys Robb Smith coming back at ya with this week's big time preview show! I am super pumped for Combat Night a new weekly show that is going to showcase the depth of this huge roster and allow everyone a chance to shine. This week we'll take a look at the card and I'll give you my what to watch for. Let's start this off with our peek at the undercard.

Juti vs Thundercunt gives us what should be a stand up battle against two mid twenty ko artists. Thunder has shown that he's not able to fight off a ground based fighter and in this one he won't need to be worried about that. Juti stood in the pocket in his debut and traded with Enzo Ali and eventually got the knockout win. Thunder will feel confident in this one because he believes in his chin and his power. Expect a banger!!

Shurk vs Pipi Jr is a fun match up because we know that Shurk is susceptible to submissions. He wants to stand and bang and his power is out of this world. The 2-1 Shurk will look to clinch and hurt his opponent early because that's what he's done in his two wins. When he lands a strike it opens up his opponents and has been the beginning of the end thus far in his career. With Pipi Jr that would be hard, we don't know much about him because this is his debut but what we do know is he is a bjj brown belt and if he's anything like senior he's more than capable of getting this fight to the ground and taking over.

Hippobody vs Kidd is a Super Heavyweight Match up and Hippo is very confident coming off his first win as a pro. We know he's ready to swing and unload on Kidd who will be looking to get his first finish. Kidd mixed it up in his ICC debut and fought to a decision. If he can get this fight on the mat and advance position he may expose his opponent and get the win.

The light heavyweight scrap between Almeida and Limmerick is hands down the stand out fight on the prelims. Almeida in two ICC fights looks like a star and he will be looking to continue that run if he can get this fight in the clinch like he has in his first two ICC fights. Limmerick isn't afraid to stand and bang and in fact that's what prefers to do. He's coming off his first loss and wants to rebound. It's worth mentioning that Almeida's only loss, a QFC decision loss in his debut was to a man that Limmerick also fought but Limmerick knocked him out cold. My prediction: Don't Blink!!!

A light heavyweight battle between 0-3 Sentiments and 1-0 Sonni is going to decide the future for Sentiments as he cannot afford to lose his third straight ICC fight. Sonni has shown he can take a punch which is what his opponent will bring to the table. Sonni knows his opponents chin has been questioned and he will surely look to put that question to the test.

Main Card

Middleweights Paige and Cotte open up the main card. Both men coming off of well rounded decision wins. Cotte with a better muay thai clinch game and Paige with the wrestling. This fight will decide who's going to move forward and become a player at 185.

Leon Sprink comes in 1-2 to make his company debut. He's coming off a loss and hoping to show off his wrestling prowess. His opponent Henry Kopp also making his company debut has some hype around him and his clinch game. If Kopp can get a win here he will be a player in the division but Sprink plans to spoil the fun.

This featherweight battle between Peterson and Smith looks fun. Two very capable fighters that finish fights in very different ways. Peterson comes in on a five fight win streak with four of those wins by submission finish. His opponent Smith is coming off his first loss and it was by submission. Smith will look to keep this fight standing and show his submission defense has gotten better but Peterson has been unstoppable and believes in his ground game. Who wins? The fans, this will be a good one.

Co Main Event

Bantamweights Joe Tidd vs Jerry Jones is a battle of one loss finishers. Neither guy has lost in a while and both are coming to win big. Both men enjoy clinching and fighting in a phone booth. This matchup should give the Champion Behar a true top contender. Expect a finish in dramatic fashion and expect whoever wins to claim they deserve a title shot because the winner will certainly deserve it.

Main Event

Ferguso vs Ivan is a top tier welterweight scrap that will catapult the winner into a World Championship conversation. The tape will tell you that both men like to take the fight to the mat and take control and land vicious ground and pound. What the tape won't tell you is that Feguso Bambangan has a purple belt in jiu jit su and can do more than just land bombs on the mat. It has to get to the mat though for him to get to his happy place and Lyubenov is stellar on his feet with dazzling boxing skills and when and if this fight goes to the mat Ivan has outstanding wrestling skills to try and fight off Ferguso. This fight could honestly go so many different ways and I for one am very excited to see how ICC Combat Night 1 makes new stars for the Islands top company.

Final thoughts:

Just because these men aren't well known stars yet doesn't mean this event won't be exciting. Vet in on the ground floor of their superstardom now by watching these Combat Night events. I think several of the men on this card have huge potential and maybe even a few future champions.

The main event to me could go either way and the winner would have a real shot at earning big money in sponsorships and contracts down the line. The fighter I am most looking forward to is Antonio Almeida. This man to me has the biggest shot at superstar on this card but it will not be easy his opponent Lemmerick is a super savvy and skilled badass that will put in the pressure and leave it all in the cage. Truthfully every fight on the card has star making potential and the best part is qe get to watch and see who's going to flounder this opportunity and who's going to show up and take destiny in their own hands, literally. For Island Combat Championship I am Robb Smith, see you all on October 1st for Combat Night 1!

Can you do the same at S.A.F.O, I would love to have one like this once a 2weeks. You can even make it short if needed. I need something to show improvement in my Org.
