Love me some Leo, but I think Donny clearly deserves it this year.

Leo was part of the greatest single beatdown event in tycoon history, but he wasn't the FOTY. Donny not only reach P4P #1, but he finishes the Olympics with Gold and still P4P #1. Donny doubled his wins.

Leo held the #1 p4p spot since April all the way through to October until he retired. Donny got the #1 p4p spot for the last two days of the year.

The Olympic Finals this year at heavyweight was contested by two men that Leo beat. (Tyson and Leo are 1-1 this year, Tyson would have gotten his rubber match but lost to Andrei Kersikov in July.)

14 is not the double of 9, Leo's record also doesn't include 2 losses and 2 draws.

Leo fought all the top competition from March, Rinky was the #1 p4p fighter, Rocky was the #2 HW, Doolittle was the #1 LHW, McColgan was #3 iirc behind Rinky Spider, Varg was #2 after defeating Rinky, Bowtrie was the #2 HW and finally Rinky again was the #2 HW. Apart from the Varg fight which as a back and forth slobber knocker, Leo dominated his opponents.

Compare it to Donny who fought Yury four times, Donny eeked out wins against Camacho and Daken along with a few others. It is arguable that Donny fought his toughest competition in the last 2 months.

If you base fighter of the year on how many times you fight and how many times you win, you are may as well calling it "who has the better injury hidden award of the year". Other than the amount of wins, Leo had a better year than Donny in nearly every tangible category.

Leo wasn't just part of the greatest beatdown this game has ever seen. Leo defeated one of the most dominant forces this game has ever seen, not once but twice. He done something that no other fighter in this game can claim and retired as the #1 P4P best fighter.

Leo had 10 fights in 2015 and went 9-1-0 with 6 title fights.

Donny had 18 fights, so 8 more , in 2015 and went 11-2-2 with 9 title fights.

____

Until this point, I give the edge to Leo, but not by much. Had he had more fights, it would have been a clearer advantage.

Then when I look at the opponent level , I give Leo the edge as he fought top opposition all the time, while Donny had a little easier road at moments, altough he stepped up at the end of the year. I think his age should be factored in as well and then it's damn impressive how he is beating guys like Akihiro, Camacho, Balkan while he is in fact over 40 years old at that time!

After taking the opposition and age in consideration, I see it close to a draw, but with a slight advantage for Donny.

____

But then we come at the olympics and Donny wins gold after defeating Balkan in the semi-final and Akihiro in the finals. Hadn't you retired Leo before the Olympics , then we could have seen how he would have done. You can say now that he would have won gold as well , but there is no way of knowing.

____

Conclusion, my vote goes to Donny based on the fact he won olympic gold at age41, is champ in one of the top orgs, was active and has done a crazy job considering his age.

You failed to factor in time at the #1p4p position and gave someone an edge because of a hidden, something out width the control of everyone and something that isn't earned.

Donny fighting to his late age is because of his injury hidden (spix said that himself) and he is depopping at a very slow rate. Leo has gotten 16 day injuries from all his fights and was depopping at the rate of knots, you just have to look at Scotty Bennet to see how that affects a fighter. I retired Leo because of what happened to guys like Scotty Bennet, Womba and Otso by fighting into their depops, in his last fight he defeated Rinky Spider. I'd take a win over Spider rather than a win over a depopping Akihiro and depopping Balkan (both managers confirmed this, Lance had been bitching about Akihiro depopping for months). Winning the Olympic gold is a fantastic achievement but retiring as the #1 P4P guy and being the first ever to do so doesn't factor into any decisions?

Leo defeated the gold medalists at 265 and 265+ from the Winter Olympics back to back, he defeated the two guys who would compete in the finals of the Olympics. If Leo competed in the Olympics, then he would be fighting 3 guys he defeated and one of my own fighters. So if you are factoring in wins over Olympic champs, I believe Leo has it covered. I understand this award is very subjective in what you take into account, but jeez, I leave Convicted for two days, Karter starts his attacks and the guy you called your closest friend in the game starts bitching behind your back. I'll leave that to a response I'll post though so this award doesn't get sidetracked.

We should embrace the fact that we hadn't seen a fighter as successful as Donny who had as good an injury hidden as him. That just makes him that little bit more special. I find it a lot more likely for someone to retire #1 p4p (like Donny and Leo did) but I don't find it likely for us to see another fighter as old as Donny who wins the Olympics, that's why I feel Donny should be Fighter of the Year.

Donny is still depopping, I've noticed twice now that his primary skills have went from Elite to Sensational. The last time I noticed, it was his muay thai skill that went from Elite to Sensational and then went back to Elite but his boxing hasn't went back just yet. So he might have fought a depopping Akihiro and Balkan, but Donny was depopping himself plus Akihiro is managed by Lance Templeton who is one of the best managers of all time.

You didn't mention how Donny fought and beat one of the best upcoming talents in Hector Camacho, who only lost to Lil Wayne and Horiyama before that fight.

I'll start with this...

Fighter of the Year isn't based on the duration you held the to p4p #1 for. It's your body of work for the entire year.

Dinooo I didn't start any attacks. My satire article wasn't much different than Peel's Dean Sutherland Jr post. In all honestly, Donny has a better year than Leo. Donny should win the award because he deserves it more than Leo. Undoubtedly, Leo has all the style points, but Donny's body of work this year out weighs Leo's. He beat LT. The GOAT. The legend. The Man himself. It's not that close.

For the record; both of Donny's draws this year, the commentators had him winning the fight.

But I'll break it down...

Leo held the #1 p4p spot since April all the way through to October until he retired. Donny got the #1 p4p spot for the last two days of the year.

Donny became P4P #1 on 12/16. C'mon :dancing:

The Olympic Finals this year at heavyweight was contested by two men that Leo beat. (Tyson and Leo are 1-1 this year, Tyson would have gotten his rubber match but lost to Andrei Kersikov in July.)

Donny Donowitz is the LW Olympic Gold Medal Winner.... meanwhile, Leo was sitting in the Bahamas. No gold medal. His claim is "Hey, I'm 1-1 with the guy who won it." I give Donny the advantage in this attribute.

14 is not the double of 9, Leo's record also doesn't include 2 losses and 2 draws.

5 more wins than Leo. Those two draws could arguably make it 7 more wins. It's not just one win, or two wins, or three wins.... five more wins. That's a pretty significant amount in a year. and Leo got KTFO this year. Slumped. Sleep. Night night. I'll take Donny's two decision losses over a KTFO loss to Moyses any day.

Leo fought all the top competition from March1*, Rinky was the #1 p4p fighter, Rocky was the #2 HW, Doolittle was the #1 LHW, McColgan was #3 iirc behind Rinky Spider, Varg was #2 after defeating Rinky, Bowtrie was the #2 HW and finally Rinky again was the #2 HW.

1* view the bottom of this post to compare better competition...

Your injury logic is getting just a weeeeee bit desperate here. Where do you come up with that? Donny fought on average, every 16+ days. What does injury hidden have to do with this award or this discussion?

Leo wasn't just part of the greatest beatdown this game has ever seen. Leo defeated one of the most dominant forces this game has ever seen, not once but twice. He done something that no other fighter in this game can claim and retired as the #1 P4P best fighter.

...and Donny has the chance to retire P4P #1. He could retire now and Leo could never make the claim "only fighter to retire p4p #1". It's irrelevant. He retired months ago and Donny kept fighting. And we all know that Mihail doesn't involve himself with his fighters matchmaking. Donny fought all challengers, didn't pick any opponents, entered the Olympics, and won gold.

As I said, Leo had a hell of a year. HW of the year, yes. Fighter of the Year? No. Donny's body of work outweighs Leo's in 2015. and Mihail faced off against a lions den of managers.

1* here is the competition factor setting in stone...

Donny defeated managers (best manager rank):

Bawon Samedi (#1)

Klatz Matz (#1) *

Blunts AllDay (#3)

Johnny Lightening (#7)

Michael Knight (#1)

Mike Thomas (#27)

Louis Princip (#38)

Clown Prince (#10)

Peel Steel (#7)

Storman Norman (#1)

Jorma Oltsu (#2)

Lance Templeton (#1)

* Klatz is probably the most underrated manager of all time. Klatz is Tycoon HOF / Elite.

Leo defeated Managers (Best manager Rank):

Megajug (I don't even need to put his rank here... it's megajug)

Eddie Roach (#13)

Bowser (#1)

Moyses Mattos (#1)

Thor (#4)

Janne Finland (#3)

Hans (#1)

Barnabas (#1)

Leo's resume is super impressive, it just comes up short when you compare it side by side with Donny's. It's not personal. Donny won gold in the Olympics. Both had great years, Donny's is just better and deserves Fighter of the Year 2015 award.

The quoted version of this is too long.

The last time I checked Colon was the #1 fighter, the difference between 14 days and 2 days compared to 6 month isn't too much.

The reasoning behind why I retired is why I mentioned the injuries, Donny was able to compete a lot longer due to having close to 0 injuries. If Leo was competing in the Olympics in Donny's place then his gold medal fight would have been in January.

You are comparing the lightweight division to the heavyweight division with the knock out loss, that is desperate.

I had Andrei at HW this year who took out potential opponents for Leo (Juggernaut and Tyson), So the 1-1 thing is relevant because Tyson never rose to prominence again until after Leo had retired.

Manager rank can be exploited as we all know, but if you do compare it that way then we both faced off 5 times against former #1 ranked managers. You also added in guys outside the top 10, yet Jugs best ranking is 6th. Fighter rankings prove who is the top fighter, other than Afro there hasn't been many undeserving guys in the top spots.

As far as Donny goes, he does deserve to be up there for fighter of the year, but you put out your facts and I put out mine and it is up to people to vote on it. As far as the attacks go? I just got a message while I was writing my reply from someone telling me about it, your thing was actually quite funny and I said that in the heat of the moment and I'll respond to what you said separately in your thread, but the other part is getting a thread of its own.

First off, it's Bowdrie with a d you disrespectful ginger. Go steal a pony.

I only put Bowdrie up against Leo because it was the only shot I was going to get before he retired. I asked for that fight but Bowdrie was not ready for that fight yet. He had NO elite skills at the time. His only chance was going for the KO and I paid for that because Dinoo is such a great manager. Bowdrie would have won that fight against most anybody else. Another reason why Dinoo was MOTY for me.

The reason I voted for Donnie is because Leo retired and he didn't. It was that close for me between the two.

In Regard to Rambo:

Jug - ranked as high as number 6 presently sitting at 19

Rambo - presently ranked somewhere below 100? Fuckin slacker. You should be ashamed of yourself disrespecting a top 20 manager from so far down in that hole.
