JHL
Let's say, for example, I have a fighter with good wrestling secondaries but useless or abysmal wrestling. How would this impact his wrestling overall?
BillyRose
All I know for sure is that Primary skills have a greater overall effect than secondaries on the actions they apply to. You can still be effective if you have deceptively high primaries for some skill. Just not as effective as a specialist. You might get a clue from this skill re-allocation page on the Wiki http://www.mmatycoon.info/index.php?title=Reallocate_Skills
Bwang
One way to think of it is: Secondaries are how good you are at the individual skills, Primaries are how good you are at applying them/knowing how to use them. Both are important. If you have say 12 (wonderful) takedowns but only 1 (useless) wrestling then overall you are about 6 (competent) at actual takedowns. That's kinda the way I imagine it anyway.
