Silva experienced hardships as a child. He came from a broken family and was often left to fend for himself without the supervision or guidance of his parents. At age 10, Silva was stabbed several times during a robbery and was eventually abandoned by his parents. He lived in cars before being placed in a foster home and he bounced around between several group homes before being placed in an English family living in Rio de Janeiro at age 14, where he turned his life around. |
