It looks like Dominick Verk has been cut.
Rios is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Verk flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Verk is out cold! Rios holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Hofstder avoids the body shot from Verk.
Wahoo Hofstder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Verk avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hofstder stuns Verk with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hofstder misses with a straight left.
Hofstder rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Verk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hofstder throws a pinpoint strike between Verk's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Verk crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Hofstder scores a great knockout victory!

Wu looks to throw the jab but Verk is out of range.
Verk tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wu was well out of range. Poor timing from Verk.
Good work by Verk as he checks the leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wu lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Verk has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Verk and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Verk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Verk closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wu stuns Verk with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Verk misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wu.
Wu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zain Wu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wu lands with an overhand left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wu connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Verk's hands.

James tries to bum rush Verk with a series of wild strikes but Verk uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

James drops Verk with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Verk looks back up at him and smiles so James waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed. #ROC#

James lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Verk will be OK.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Verk takes the fight into the clinch.

Cahill ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cahill no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cahill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Verk works his way to full guard. Good work.
Verk pulls Baust in to control the position.

Baust has gone for a leg lock! Verk slips out almost immediately though and dives into Baust's guard.

Verk is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Baust's shoulder. That is not cool.
Baust knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Verk on the ground.

Baust tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Verk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Verk tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Verk works to advance to full mount. Baust defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Verk is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Baust has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Verk controlling the position easily from mount.
