Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colin Kaepernick (ranked 176 p4p, 5 weight class) and Pedro Fuentes (ranked 800 p4p, 36 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaepernick doesn't manage to clinch there - Fuentes circles away.
Fuentes replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kaepernick blocks it well.

It looked like Kaepernick was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Fuentes.

It looks like Pedro Fuentes has been cut.
Kaepernick has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Fuentes lands a big head kick that sends Kaepernick tumbling to the mat! Fuentes takes a step backwards and waves Kaepernick back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Colin Kaepernick has been cut.
Pedro Fuentes seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Fuentes is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Kaepernick flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kaepernick is out cold! Fuentes holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
