Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Gaston (ranked 514 p4p, 72 weight class) and Carl Moore (ranked 485 p4p, 67 weight class). Gaston comes to the cage accompanied by You Can Do It. Moore is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sad Man's Tongue by Volbeat. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Carl Moore was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carl Moore!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gaston gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Moore tries to move to mount but Gaston blocks the move with his legs.

Moore is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gaston knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Moore swings for the body but Gaston moves out of range.
Gaston is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Moore.

Gaston tries to throw a body punch but Moore avoids it by throwing Gaston back against the cage.
I was talking to Gaston's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Gaston lands with a left to the head.
Gaston gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Carl Moore has been cut.

Moore is trying to trip Gaston. He has hold of a leg but Gaston is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Moore persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Moore tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gaston knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gaston is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Moore pulls his head out easily.

Moore lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Gaston! Moore sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Gaston and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Carl Moore!

Roy Gaston was interviewed post fight and said 'Better watch yo back homie!'.
