The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigez misses with a shot to the body
and Rodrigez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rodrigez tries to clinch up.
Rodrigez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Elkemenchi circles away.
Rodrigez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Elkemenchi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rodrigez.
Evgeni Elkemenchi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emanuel Rodrigez.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Elkemenchi.
Rodrigez misses with a takedown attempt
and Elkemenchi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Elkemenchi plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Rodrigez is rocked!
Elkemenchi lands a glancing blow to the side of Rodrigez's head.
Rodrigez is still on wobbly legs! Can Elkemenchi finish him?
Rodrigez with a lazy takedown attempt
and Elkemenchi counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Rodrigez out cold! What a finish! Elkemenchi is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Evgeni Elkemenchi!
