Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bessarion Alexius (ranked 1030 p4p, 137 weight class) and Ram Rocker (ranked 711 p4p, 94 weight class). Alexius comes into the arena with A Country Boy Can Survive blaring out of the sound system. Rocker has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexius dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Alexius swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rocker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Alexius has a takedown stuffed.
Rocker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rocker wants to take a breather but Alexius is having none of it.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A nice side step and Rocker releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That kick from Alexius tenderised Rocker's leg. Rocker is trying to keep his angry face on.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Alexius is sitting in close to Rocker's body. Rocker has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Alexius is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Alexius is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rocker.

In his post fight interview, Ram Rocker started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Bessarion Alexius was interviewed post fight and said 'Oh moth*****r, not again!'.
