Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Bonifacio (ranked 3814 p4p, 371 weight class) and Jake Tate (ranked 4844 p4p, 423 weight class). Bonifacio comes to the cage accompanied by Karate - Kennedy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tate shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The referee asks Tate politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tate prefers to stall for the moment though.

Tate looks up at the clock and then as Bonifacio takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tate smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Tate decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Bonifacio tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tate was well out of range. Poor timing from Bonifacio .

Jake Tate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bonifacio makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Tate shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bonifacio sprawls well. Bonifacio wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tate gets slowly back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bonifacio lands a hook that stumbles Tate back into the cage. Bonifacio follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Tate to the canvas! Bonifacio pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Tate has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
