The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
A jab from Cares finds it's way through Woods's defenses.
Cares connects with a body shot that sends Woods's belly button to the back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cares throws a lazy right hand but Woods sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cares enables Woods to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cares manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Woods looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cares with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Woods lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Cares quite badly. Cares pulls Woods in close trying to recover. Woods postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Cares on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Cares doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
