PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yhorm Cinder (ranked 4385 p4p, 160 weight class) and Pedro Fuentes (ranked 901 p4p, 43 weight class). Pedro Fuentes told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Fuentes!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Cinder.

It looks like Pedro Fuentes has been cut.
A slapping body kick lands there for Fuentes.
Cinder shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fuentes defends it nicely.
Fuentes lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Cinder misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cinder rushes Fuentes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cinder is working for takedown but Fuentes is calmly controlling the position for now.
Fuentes stalls.
Cinder drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fuentes gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yhorm Cinder. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A body shot lands from Fuentes.
Cinder is breathing heavily.
Fuentes lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Cinder.

Fuentes gets through Cinder's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fuentes lands a body shot.
Cinder's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Cinder definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A nice left hand lands by Fuentes.
Fuentes softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Fuentes lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A short body shot lands from Fuentes as the two fighters clinch.
Fuentes lands an uppercut.

Cinder is rocked!

It looks like Yhorm Cinder has been cut.

Fuentes drops Cinder onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Cinder is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Oh Cinder is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A right hand to the body from Fuentes.
Fuentes pushes off and lands a massive hook that knocks Cinder out cold! The fight is all over!
