The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Lima tries a head kick but it misses.
Mircea was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lima throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mircea's waist but Mircea gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lima off to one side.

Mircea drops Lima with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lima looks back up at him and smiles so Mircea waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Mircea lands a big uppercut and Lima crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lima looks OK. Mircea waves Lima back to his feet!

Mircea sneaks out the side door and pushes Lima away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

and Mircea counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Lima out cold! What a finish! Mircea is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

A relieved looking Alexandru Mircea thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
