Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Mild (ranked 23301 p4p, 511 weight class) and Xix Zyx (ranked 7160 p4p, 497 weight class). Zyx has chosen Welcome to Hell as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Mild!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Xix Zyx!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zyx with a poor takedown
and Mild counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Zyx will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mild decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mild seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Zyx is not content to let Mild control the position.
Zyx tries to roll over but Mild keeps him under control.
Mild is keen to just control but Zyx is a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zyx is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Zyx tries to buck Mild off but Mild is having none of it.
Mild tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Zyx tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Zyx is squirming around, avoiding Mild's attempts to control the action.
Mild lands a couple of good shots and Zyx has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mild seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Zyx's chin but Zyx turns very nicely into Mild's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Zyx.

Mild has an active guard here but Zyx has managed to pass into half guard.

Zyx is refusing to be controlled, as Mild sits in half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Mild takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mild wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zyx keeps working.
Zyx tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Mild presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Zyx sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Well, if Mild is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mild is looking for a kimura but Zyx is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mild to get the leverage.
Mild has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Zyx works to full guard.

Mild trying to control the position from guard on top but Zyx is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mild postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Mild is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zyx is just riding it out for now. Mild eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mild stands up and waves to Zyx to follow him.

Mild closes the distance and clinches.

Zyx drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mild gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Mild turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mild manages to end up in side control.

Mild looking to control but Zyx is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Mild is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Zyx is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Mild is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mild is desperately trying to improve his position but Zyx has a good base and remains in mount.

Zyx is stalling here. Mild is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Zyx seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Mild has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Xix Zyx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
