PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Tohit Tohurt (ranked 950 p4p, 47 weight class) and Ravi Vamoosh (ranked 14612 p4p, 180 weight class). Vamoosh has chosen The Roaring Tiger as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vamoosh lands a body shot.
Vamoosh avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Vamoosh swings for the body but Tohurt moves out of range.
Vamoosh just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromTohurt.
Vamoosh ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tohurt moves away.
Tohurt swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Vamoosh fakes the leg kick and cracks Tohurt in the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Vamoosh. That's going to slow Tohurt down.
Vamoosh throws a body punch but Tohurt moves out of range.
Vamoosh lands with a thumping leg kick.

Vamoosh has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Tohurt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Ravi Vamoosh has been cut.
Vamoosh tests Tohurt's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Vamoosh lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ravi Vamoosh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vamoosh scores with a hook to the body. Tohurt takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Vamoosh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It looked like Tohurt wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Vamoosh throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tohurt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Vamoosh buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Vamoosh digs a good hook to Tohurt's body.
Vamoosh stuns Tohurt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Vamoosh is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tohurt rather than just go for the knockout.
Tohurt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vamoosh. Vamoosh obviously looking to wear him down.
Both fighters circling a little - Vamoosh finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

It looks like Tohit Tohurt has been cut.
Vamoosh connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tohurt. Tohurt circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vamoosh fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tohurt has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Tohurt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Vamoosh tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tohurt was well out of range. Poor timing from Vamoosh.
Tohurt throws a head kick but Vamoosh moves out of range.
Vamoosh changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Vamoosh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Vamoosh dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tohurt. That did some damage!

Vamoosh connects with a nice looking jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ravi Vamoosh dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Tohurt moves out of range as Vamoosh throws a body kick.
Tohurt on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Tohurt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

A looping hook to the body misses from Vamoosh. Tohurt does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tohurt moves out of range of the body kick.
Tohurt throws a counter high kick but Vamoosh was just alert enough to avoid it.

Tohurt looks low and kicks high, catching Vamoosh right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!

and Tohurt counters with a big left hand that crumples Vamoosh! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
