Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Joseph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cung Lee!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee lands with a straight right. Joseph didn't see that one coming.
Lee cracks Joseph with a good jab.
Lee thuds a left hand into Joseph's body.
Joseph has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lee finds it's way round the side to connect with Joseph's head.
Joseph on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Joseph is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Joseph tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Despite the aggression on Lee's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Lee is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Joseph like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Joseph from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cung Lee!
Our winner, Cung Lee, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
