Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Leagatius (ranked 2245 p4p, 231 weight class) and Robert McKenna (ranked 1637 p4p, 180 weight class). McKenna comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Freedom kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leagatius throws a hook to the side of McKenna's head but McKenna sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've been hearing reports that Leagatius has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Leagatius throws a leg kick but McKenna sees it coming and checks it nicely.

McKenna forces Leagatius back against the cage and clinches.

McKenna breaks the clinch.
Leagatius tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McKenna is able to avoid easily.
McKenna wants to clinch but Leagatius slips to the side
and Leagatius counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Robert McKenna has been cut.
McKenna is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Leagatius stuffs the takedown attempt from McKenna. McKenna gets slowly back to his feet.
Leagatius swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McKenna has a takedown stuffed.
McKenna has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Leagatius finds it's way round the side to connect with McKenna's head.

McKenna shoots in for a takedown but Leagatius shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brutus Leagatius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert McKenna.
McKenna tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Leagatius swivels and escapes.

McKenna closes the distance and pushes Leagatius back into the cage.

Leagatius breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McKenna closes this distance looking for a takedown but Leagatius circles away.
Leagatius works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

McKenna looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Leagatius is fending him off so far but McKenna persists. Nope, Leagatius circles away and we're back to standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McKenna drops his hands momentarily and Leagatius needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips McKenna just on the top of the head. McKenna drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in McKenna - he's done!

After the fight, Brutus Leagatius was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
